The day I was dreading finally arrived. I couldn't resist the blood but I had to stick to my promise I made to Ash; "Don't drink human blood except under certain circumstances' '. I blame my brother for it.

"Sarah you good?"

"Yeah just I need more food" within a blink she had run off. I felt bad for her because she was stuck as a fledgling, once again I blame my brother. I need to find some distraction before my 'natural instincts' kick in and luckily a certain blonde was nearby.

"Rory!"

'What's up!!' He exaggerated down the hallway as I ran over to him

"Nothing much trying to keep my mind off the.." I went quiet so nobody would hear "blood"

"Cause of that promise thing?"

"Yeah, speaking of blood, where's Erica? I don't think she will be at all resistant to this"

"I don't know...wanna go find her?"

"Of course" but before I knew it, Rory had latched onto my arm and took me around the halls. I do not know how he was never caught. As we wandered the halls with no sign of Erica we unfortunately had to check the room where the blood donation was happening, the urge got stronger as I smelt it. Once we walked into the room I saw someone, well three someones. Benny and Ethan in line and Erica, in a nurse's outfit.

"WOAH baby! Blood vending mach-" Rory couldn't finish before both Erica and I had shushed him. "Sweet!"

"How would you like to go on a secret mission?" she uttered

"I'll pass"

Clearly this was something to do with the blood, probably stealing it or something.

"Hey guys" I had said in an undertone, sneaking in line next to the boys.

"They're up to something" Ethan pointed out as Erica pulled Rory in like it was "broken telephone".

"Yeah, clearly" I remarked

"I'm gonna try to get closer," he added. Now bad thing about Ethan was his fear of needles, which in this case when he caught sight of one before even making it halfway across the room, he fainted.

"Ethan?" I gasped

Obviously a nurse had then gone to check on him.

"Well played young padawan, well played" Benny mumbled

"Your best friend just fainted and you're worried about the nurse?" I said in disbelief

"She's hot" he remarked, blank faced.

I couldn't deal with this day already. First Sarah disappears, then Rory betrays goes off with Erica and now Ethan has fainted whilst Benny waffles on about how 'hot' the nurse is. All I wanted was to have one day without people bailing on me for something else.

Shortly after the whole fainting incident, I had seen Ethan walk out of the actual nurse's office with an ice pack on his head.

"How's your head Spock?" I questioned "I don't think I used that right"

"My heads fine, thanks" he smiled, Ethan was sweet and definitely the right person for Sarah. She deserves someone actually good for her, for once.

"Can you hear crunching?" Looking infront of us, I turn to see Sarah, crisps and a broken vending machine led next to her.

"Hey Sarah" Ethan drawled out, cautiously "You doing okay with the whole-" this is when he noticed the vending machine, how he missed it at first I will never know.

"Don't say it." she demanded

"Okay we won't, Ethan let's go before we end up like our friend vending machine over here" in response to this, Sarah flashed us her fangs.

"Yeah ok!" Clearly, Ethan still hadn't gotten used to the whole vampire thing and to be fair it is scary when you think about it.

"So where's Benny?" I pondered

"Probably failing at flirting with the nurse"

"Most likely" I had barely ever had a one on one conversation with Ethan and it was nice until we turned the corner to Erica's new puppet.

"Hey Rory" we greeted in sync

"I can't tell you anything! Erica would kill me!" What is it that he likes about Erica so much? Like yes she's nice, kinda and apart from the obvious vampire glow up, she didn't seem his type. Plus the fact that she's a raging lesbian but only Sarah and I know that. I'm pretty sure her and my cousin have a crush on each other.

"Oh I already said too much" Rory added trying to walk off before then bumping into Benny behind him "Woah, not cool!" He then, finally, managed to walk off. Presumably to find Erica.

"Uh, what's up with Count Dorkula?" Benny asked

"Erica's pulling his strings to get something, I don't know what though"

"So she's the puppet master!" Benny said

"I bet they're after the blood!" Ethan said

"You're a genius Ethan, nobody coulda guessed that cause they totally aren't vampires or anythingl'

"Ahh the crimson nectar"

"Benny," I paused as he visibly became confused. "Seriously? That's how you describe it?" Today is the worst. I can't stop thinking of blood and with everyone mentioning every two seconds, it doesn't help.

"I'll see you guys in class, I need to steal some cookies from the blood drive before I die from starvation"

"Wait Willow! We need your help!" Ethan shouted

"Finally, I was waiting to be needed!" I laughed, walking back towards them "I'm kidding, what do you need?"

"I have a plan"

"Ok well first can I get those cookies because I wasn't kidding about that."

There's Rory. Plan is a go.

"I told you, lips sealed, I'm sorry" he noted

"It's not that, I have a quick question. If you could be an MCU character for 24 hours, who would it be, Thor or The Hulk?" This was stupid it was obviously Thor. Ethan, your plan is really stupid.

"Thor is a Norse God! With a magic hammer that can summon lightning from the heavens! The Hulk is a big green doofus with purple short shorts" Rory scolded, unaware of Benny sneaking a tracking device into his bag "Next time make it challenging!"

''Ya know, I said the same thing when Ethan asked me the question, really dumb right? But anyway got to go, muchas gracias amigo!"

"Say what?" Rory asked, confused.

I have to admit, he's kinda cute when he's confused.

"GPS is in place we can now track Rory's position at all time" Benny explained

"Creepy" I mumbled

"Well never thought I'd say this but let's spend the day following Rory around" Ethan laughed

"So now you want to spend time with Rory, you guys need to be nicer to him, you're supposed to be his friend after all."

"They have a point dude" Ethan exchanged looks with Benny over this, they clearly loved the dude but weren't as close with him and they were with each other.

Finally, it was lunch. My break consisted of revising for a stupid chemistry test and drinking the blood substitute Grandma had made, it's rank but worth it.

"Now's your chance!" I hear a voice shout from further away. I approached where the noises had come from to see Erica and Rory behind the blood truck. Great, clearly Benny's plan didn't work because if he was paying attention to the tracker, he'd realise their plan is almost complete.

"Got it hot stuff" Rory replied

"Don't call me that!" she exclaimed

"Good idea! Switching to alternate code names, sweet cheeks" as Rory finished his sentence and approached the truck, footsteps were approaching, most likely a teacher. This led to not only me wanting to leave but Erica already making her way back inside, ditching her 'task rabbit'.

I couldn't just leave him there to get caught so I did the 'right thing' and went to warn him, probably not the best idea.

"What gives Rory? Stealing blood for your queen?" I asked

"What? Do you mean Erica? Wait, where is she?" He asked

"She ditched you" I said

"Why were you following me?" He smirked

"I wasn't, I heard you two speaking and once you'd got in here, I heard footsteps which is when Erica bolted. Literally."

"So you came to save me?" Once again that same smile was plastered on his face, just this time a new addition to it.

"Is that blood on your teeth?!"

"Ummm"

"Rory! Come on, we have to go before someone sees us!"

My fingers intertwined with his to pull him out quickly but before we could even make it, a nurse opened the doors.

"What's going on here?" She asked

"Back off sweetie, we were just leaving"

"I don't think so" a smirk placed on her face, a dimple forming on her left cheek

In defence, I flashed my fangs to scare her off yet to my surprise, she did the same.

"She's one of us?"

"Huh, not what I was expecting"

"No." Rory mumbled in a gruff voice.

"You have broken one of our oldest laws, trying to steal food from your own kind. The council will make sure you pay for this. I'm surprised your parents didn't teach you" She threatened

"What with some vampire fine, please like that-" Before I could utter another letter she had already locked the doors, trapping us both inside.

"HEY LET US OUT!" Rory screamed

"How are these doors so strong?!" I asked, pulling as hard as I could. We had been moving for at least a few minutes now.

"Looks like we're trapped alone, together, just the two of us for who knows how long" Rory said with his dorky smile

"Are you seriously enjoying this?!"

"Well let's see: you, me, a tight space filled with primo plasma. Hecks yeah I'm enjoying this!" Rory practically shouted.

"Why, aren't you?" He asked, sitting infront of me by the cupboards.

"No and don't make fun of me but I don't like tight spaces especially ones filled to the brim with...really nice smelling blood"

He started to snicker, leading to a kick in the leg.

"Hey!"

"Sorry, just never met a claustrophobic vampire"

"Yeah well, now you have" I said in the middle of short gasps

"You know I read somewhere that kissing someone helps shorten panic attacks"

"Not the time to try and flirt Rory and-' suddenly a quick kiss was planted on my lips.

"See! You're breathing has slowed, it means the panic is fading"

"How'd you know how to do that?" I asked

"I'm not a complete idiot"

"No, I meant to stop the panic"

"Oh! I used to have panic attacks a lot when I was younger and when my Mum was finishing a session with a patient, one of the nurses gave me a book to read which was about mental health and stuff so that's how I knew"

"Thanks for being a smartass"

"Considering I used to be a geek, not that difficult"

"Used to?" I laughed

"Rude I am not a geek"

For a while it was quiet as we both tried to keep a straight face which then ended up in a fit of laughter.

"I never realised how fun you were to hang out with until now" Rory choked through the laughs

"Is that an insult or a compliment?" I questioned still laughing slightly

"Wait, can you hear that?"

"Mostly Sarah" a voice drawed out

"Yay our friends have arrived to save the day!" I cheer sarcastically

"First time ever! Like when I got bit, they left me there! Nobody helped"

!Umm not true. When Erica bit you after the first girl and you were craving blood I was the one who you gave you blood"

"But you were already a vampire?"

"No it was a drink that Jesse had, you took your first drink on an actual person, I don't know who though."

"Oh, thanks for helping?"

"Yeah whatever geek" We both smiled and I blushed a little.

"Wait, is that Benny speaking?"

"Oh please say he's got some spell to open the doors" I pleaded

After what felt like a lifetime, the doors finally opened letting in a breeze of cold air but unlike what was suspected, Benny didn't use his powers, the nurses opened the doors, like normal people.

"Hey guys you both look... pink" Benny mentioned

Me and Rory looked at each other and realised how red our cheeks were.

"What do you expect it's hot in here" I played off as we stepped out the truck

"Hmm, and what's the smell?" Rory added

"My blood.. " Ethan quivered

I felt my teeth growing sharper, leaving Ethan with a face of terror.

"Sorry it smells really good" My hand immediately covered my mouth and I focused my mind on something else to get the smell out of my head.

"Uh I am surrounded by vampire noobs" One of the nurses said

"Let's go Annie"

"Yeah, bye Annie..." Benny mumbled, clearly that's the 'hot' one

"You two need a ride home?" Sarah asked

"No, I could use the flight practice. Thanks for the other though!" I thanked, waving goodbye, walking off unaware of Rory following me.

"That was fun!" Rory said

"Jesus Ror" I said losing my balance "Don't sneak up on someone when they're about to start flying" I laughed

Rory had followed me all the way home that night, making weird conversations on the way like; "Do you think animals can sing?".

"Aren't you gonna go to your own house?" I wondered once we had landed in my driveway

"Yeah, just wanted to make sure you got home safe" He smiled

"Thanks for the fun today and this" Rory's face dropped in shock as I pulled out bags of blood from my backpack.

"Woah! How did you-?" He stuttered

"A magician never reveals their secrets, here you go"

"Thanks!"

"No problem, night Rory" my stomach was doing somersaults in nervousness as he pulled me in for a hug as a goodbye yet before we let go completely, I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Night 'Low"

He wasn't aware I could still see him through the window doing a happy dance before flying off home.

"Who's the boy?" Ash inquired

"Rory, the blonde one. I think I like him"

"Oo lala"

"Shut up! Love you Ash, goodnight" I said from halfway up the stairs

"Love you too Willow" she mumbled, wine dripping from her mouth.
