A Razorblade Kiss - Part 12

Ricky's POV:

I sat up in the bed that (Y/N) and I shared, reading one of the many books I had collected over the years. (Y/N) was sound asleep considering it was 1 am. I was up only because I couldn't sleep at all and I figured that if I read for a bit it would help me sleep.

It had been only a few days since I popped the question to the girl of my dreams and she was already planning her dream wedding. I looked over some of her plans while she was at the shop and oh my god was it going to cost me a fortune. She really wanted the picture perfect wedding but hopefully we could compromise on a few things.

I looked down at (Y/N) as she cuddled closer to my body. Before I knew it, her arms were around my torso and her head was on my chest. I laid my arms around her and listened to her softly breathing as I continued to read my book. It really was moments like theses that I loved the most.

"Ricky?" I looked down, hearing her soft whisper, "Put the book down and get some sleep." She smiled and cuddled closer to me, still with her eyes closed.

I smiled and put a bookmark in the page I had ended on and set the book on the nightstand that sat next to my side of the bed. I laid down a little bit, still with (Y/N) on my chest, and got comfortable under the blankets.

There was something I knew I needed to do tomorrow but I couldn't remember what. I knew (Y/N) took the day off to work on wedding stuff, and I was going to go over to Chris's to work on the album and show him the merch but there was definitely something that I had forgotten about. Whatever it was, hopefully I would remember it in the morning.

--------------------

I woke up to an empty bed. I slowly sat up and looked around wondering where (Y/N) was. It was a sunny morning and the birds were definitely filling the air with little chirps. I picked myself up from bed and started to walk to the bathroom, only to realize that (Y/N) was taking a shower and the door was locked. Well at least I knew where she was now. I walked over and neatly made the bed before sitting on it waiting for (Y/N) to come out of the shower.

Shortly after, she walked out of the bathroom with shorts and one of my t-shirts on, along with wet messy hair. She smiled and walked over to me, sitting down on my lap.

"Morning." She looked at me with pure love in her eyes. "So are you ready for a wedding plan with me like you promised you would yesterday?" She had a hopeful look in her eyes. My face went blank as I realized that that is what I had forgotten about.

How could I forget about this? She had even made me promise her that I would dedicate this day to helping her out. I definitely was feeling like the worst fiancé in the world right now, but I could bail on Chris! Especially not today considering I had to show off the merch ideas.

"Yeah about that......" I watched as the once hopeful look that was on her face, now became a more confused and sad one. I told Chris that I would help him with the album and show him the new merch designs today....." I trailed off not really knowing how to say it.

"B-But Ricky you promised me....." She got off my lap with a sad expressionless look on her face now.

"I know I did and I'm sorry I'll be back later." I stood up and looked at her hoping she would understand...which she didn't.

"Ricky, you're seriously going to bail on me for Chris?" Her voice became more bitter and almost angry as she took another step back. There was nothing I could do now though, Chris was expecting me and I needed to go and get this stuff done.

"Look (Y/N)..." Before I even got another word out I was cut off by her words.

"Oh no I get it it's fine just go." Her words hitting me harder and harder. She crossed her arms and waited for me to walk out. "Maybe you shouldn't come back either." She mumbled under her breath. I knew she wasn't being serious right now but it still hurt to hear that.

"Damn what's gotten into you today?" I immediately regretted the words that came out of her mouth. I watched as her lip quivered but no tears fell from her eyes. "Baby......" I hated seeing her almost cry, and knowing that I was the reason why hurt me even more inside.

"NO FUCK YOU WHY DONT YOU JUST GO!" She screamed at me for only the second time ever. It really shocked me how loud she could get.

"YOU KNOW WHAT I WILL!" I shot back at her knowing it wasn't going to help anything. I quickly moved my way out of the bedroom and over to the front door. It was better for the both of us to be alone right now.

I walked over to my car getting inside and sitting in the seat for a few minutes before starting the car and driving off down the road.

(Y/N) POV:

You sat on the bed and slowly wiped your tears as you had realized what you had just done. You knew it wasn't that big of a deal that Ricky was going over to Chris's, But Ricky had promised you that he would help you pick out the wedding stuff. After all it was both of you guys wedding, therefore you wanted Ricky to help you make some decisions. Honestly it wasn't even going to be that much work!

Another tear fell down your cheek as you looked back at how loud you had screamed at Ricky. He really didn't deserve that and you were just overreacting like normal. Now Ricky had actually left you because of something that you did. Great job (Y/N). It shocked you even more that Ricky had screamed at you! Normally he would have tried to calm you down or just let you be, but this time he actually screamed at you! Maybe he was getting sick of you yelling at him.....

You tried pulling yourself together as you walked out to the living room to get more of the wedding planning done while Ricky was with Chris. Plus then maybe it could get your mind off of things for a bit. You sniffled as you pulled the big binder you had already started filling with wedding ideas up onto your lap.

You had already picked out the flowers that you wanted and had an idea of what you wanted the ceremony to look like. Hopefully you could get Chris and the rest of the guys to play all the music so you didn't have to spend extra money on that too. The more you thought about the wedding, the more your thoughts drifted back to Ricky.

What if he had just left you for good? What if he really wanted nothing to do with you now? You looked down at your phone hoping for a text from him, but of course there was nothing new. Was he really this mad at you? You sniffled and set the wedding binder on the floor, now losing all motivation. Maybe he was just busy and didn't have time to text. You laid down on the couch laying your head down on the small pillow.

You tried your best to block out any negative thoughts, but they just seemed to keep on coming. The tears that were threatening to fall down your face, finally got the moment to shine and did just that. Before you even knew it you had cried so much that you accidentally fell asleep on the couch.

--------------------

You were woken up by the sound of the front door opening along with a few people talking.

"Ricky get your ass back in there and say your sorry." Was that Chris's voice? You heard the door shut and a pair of footsteps walking further into the house.

You slowly got up from the couch and stood up straightening Ricky's t-shirt that was wrapped around your body. The footsteps you heard began to get even louder as they got closer. YOu watched the hallway as Ricky slowly walked into the room.

Had he been crying? It wasn't like him to cry at all but it definitely seemed like the redness under his eyes was from tears.

"I'm sorry...." You looked over at him knowing that you were wrong for screaming at him in the first place.

"Hey don't do that....." he walked over to you slowly and wrapped his arms around you pulling you into a tight hug. "I'm the one who should be sorry..." He whispered into your ear softly.

"Ricky you were just trying to be a good fri-" You were cut off as he began to speak once again.

"I promised you that I would be here yesterday and I broke that promise....so I'm sorry, now can we just accept one another's apology and go back to loving each other?" He looked down at you with those perfect blue eyes, almost begging you to accept the apology. You nodded softly as you looked back into his eyes.

"Of course I accept the apology....I could never stay mad at you." You gave him a smile and wrapped your arms around his neck. "Now you look like you've been crying and that is not okay so let me make it better."

You laughed and pushed his head down so yours and his lips met. He smiled into the kiss and pulled you closer, his hands resting on your back. You enjoyed the small makeup kiss and you could tell that Ricky did too as he smiled into the kiss. He pulled away taking a breath of air. You smiled up at him as your head found its way back to his chest.

"So I take it that Chris didn't agree on you bailing on me?" You laughed into his chest.

"Oh no not at all." Ricky laughed right along with you. You listened to his heartbeat and realized how good it felt to have him back in your arms and not mad at you anymore.

"If you don't mind......I really do need some help planning...." You could hear his laugh as he nodded in agreement to your offer. He carefully picked you up and walked over to the couch setting you down and sitting next to you.

You proceeded to pull the big binder back onto your lap. Ricky watched as you flipped through the pages. You made sure he didn't see the page with wedding dress ideas as you flipped through though.

"Okay well um were going to have to go cake tasting at some point but what kind do you want?" You were excited for cake testing, sure cake wasn't your favorite food but it was good enough to test that's for sure.

"Uhhhh ummm vanilla?" Ricky seemed so unsure of his answer and all you could do was laugh at how cute it was. You nodded slowly and wrote down that he wanted vanilla cake.

"Do you think that the guys could play so we don't have to spend extra money on that?" You wanted to have your dream wedding, and to the looks of it, it was going to be pretty pricey. Any money you could save between the two of you would end up helping a lot.

Ricky's POV:

This was definitely something new to me. I knew absolutely nothing about planning weddings, but it definitely did not look easy. (Y/N) kept asking me different questions and scribbling down whatever I said. It was clear that she had a perfect idea of what she wanted for our wedding, but it all seemed like a lot?

"So uh who are we inviting?" I had planned on inviting a bunch of people I knew from tours and just friends that I had, but I was wondering who (Y/N) would invite.

"Ummmm well whoever you want plus one of my aunts that doesn't completely hate me. My side is going to be really small if you couldn't tell." She laughed but I could tell behind the laugh that it bothered her that she didn't have many people on her side.

"Well hey, I'll make Ryan my best man and the rest of the guys can sit on your side." I smiled and looked at her. She gave me a small smile back

"Thanks babe." She laughed and went back to writing a bunch of stuff down. "So are we good with fruit and that kind of shit for the reception?" She set her pen down and quickly threw her hair into a messy bun.

"Yeah that's fine with me, we can do pasta and that kind of stuff too if you like." She nodded and wrote it down. "Hey we've been working on this for a while, why don't you go get into a hot bath and ill order us some dinner." She looked up at me relieved.

"Thanks, I could really use a hot bath right now." She shut the binder and slowly stood up. Before walking to the bathroom, she walked over to where I was sitting on the couch and sat down in my lap.

"I just wanted to say sorry again.... I love you so much and it was stupid for me to even be upset about you wanting to get your work done..." She looked down clearly, still feeling bad. I didn't give her a reply at first, instead I gave her a small kiss and just held her in my arms.

"Hey it's okay I still love you the same as I did before the fight I promised." She nodded as I moved a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Now you take that bath." I gave her a quick kiss before she stood up and walked off to the bathroom.

I smiled watching my soon to be wife walk across what was now our house. I think this craigslist roommate thing was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with someone as beautiful and caring as (Y/N). I got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen remembering the first night she got here. I would have never guessed this was the way things were going to turn out, but I definitely didn't mind that it did end up this way.
