A Day You'll Never Forget - Part 18

(Y/N) POV:

This was it, today was yours and Ricky's wedding day. You had waited weeks for this day to finally come, and now that it was finally here, you couldn't be more excited and filled with nerves. The day had already begun with Vinny waking you up in the hotel room, he was your maid of honor so it was kind of his job anyway. You had then made your way over to where the wedding ceremony was being held. Ricky was somewhere in the building but he wasn't supposed to see you of course.

Honestly you just wanted to see Ricky. It was bad enough that you have to have Vinny be your maid of honor since you didn't have any friends. You really just wanted to get this day done and over with. Both you and Ricky were ready to get married so why did this have to take so long.

You sighed letting your nerves get the best of you and slowly pulled on the wedding dress that you had found a few weeks earlier. Your hair was already done up in curls and half pulled back. You had done it yourself and you hoped that Ricky would like it. Before you could completely zip up the back of the dress there was a small knock at the door.

"It's Vinny!" You sighed not being able to pull the zipper all the way up.

"Come on." You could hear the nervousness in your own voice. What could you say, There was still a part of you that believes that Ricky wouldn't want to go through with this.

Vinny walked in and shut the door behind him quickly. He realized shortly after walking in that you clearly needed help with the dress. You turned around and he zipped the back the rest of the way up.

"Thanks." You sighed and leaned on the wall. Vinny quickly caught on to the nervous behavior and sighs and took no time to question you on it.

"You okay? You seem stressed." You shook your head. Yeah you were excited to finally get married to him but who wouldn't be stressed! It was a big day after all.

"Yeah, I'm just nervous." He looked at you and nodded. Vinny was bouncing between where you were and where Ricky was. So out of everyone he really knew how you were both feeling.

"Hey...." Vinny walked over and gave you a warm hug, "trust me Ricky isn't going anywhere and he's just as stressed as you are." You laughed and nodded returning the hug.

"Thanks Vin." You smiled and pulled away ready to go down to where the ceremony was going to be held.

Vinny walked out of the room first just to make sure that Ricky wasn't anywhere near. After the coast was clear, you and Vinny made your way over to the front of the aisle, being blocked by two doors.

"Hey stay right here, Ricky's already up there and you don't really want him to see you through the windows." You smiled at Chris and nodded. It was so nice of him to offer to walk you down the aisle. You really couldn't thank the guys enough for doing this for you.

"Thanks for doing this again...." You looked up at him as he pulled you into a side hug.

"Hey of course!" He looked at you and smiled. "I couldn't let you just walk yourself down the aisle." You both laughed at the comment he made."

You couldn't help but wonder what Ricky was thinking right now. You were about to get married! The last time you checked that was definitely a big deal! According to Vinny and Chris he seemed even more nervous then you were. Hopefully he didn't have any second thoughts about this...

Ricky's POV:

Ryan watched as I continuously played with the sleeves of my suit jacket. I was a nervous wreck today! I sighed and ran over my vows in my head as I waited for everything to start. According to the other guys, (Y/N) was just as nervous as I was, but who wouldn't be nervous on their wedding day!

"Dude you need to chill out a little bit." Ryan laughed and grabbed my hand so I would stop playing with the sleeves of the suit.

"Easy for you to say." I sighed and stood still looking out at all the people who had showed up to the wedding. It wasn't a big wedding at all, just how we wanted it to be. (Y/n) didn't have any family, and mine was on the other side of the country, so it was really just a bunch of my friends that I had met through different events on tour and other band things.

I looked down the aisle and over to the two doors that separated both (Y/N) and I. It had to be down to just a matter of minutes before the ceremony would finally start. We had both agreed on 12:30 pm for the start of the ceremony, and the time couldn't have been going slower.

I really just wanted to see how beautiful (Y/N) looked in the wedding dress. All of the guys had been telling me all morning how good she looked but I was really to see for myself.

"When the hell is this going to start?" I sighed and looked over to Ryan who was standing next to me.

"I don't know this is your wedding not mine." He laughed and looked back out into the small number of people.

As if on cue, the stupid wedding song started playing. I was totally against the decision to have this play but (Y/N) wanted it so she got what she wanted. Happy wife happy life right? The anxiety I was already feeling just skyrocketed even more. This was actually happening!

I watched the two doors at the other end of the aisle, eagerly awaiting my bride to join me. Vinny walked out and down the aisle first since he was the maid of honor. Clearly he had shot down my dress idea that I had suggested since he was wearing a suit. As he walked down he gave me a small smile which I gladly returned. Vinny walked over and stood on (Y/N)'s side.

Chris and (Y/N) slowly walked out behind the doors next. I quickly noticed how beautiful the dress made (Y/N) look. It complemented her body well and overall just blew me away. A smile grew on my face as I wiped a tear from my cheek. I never thought that I would actually be the one getting married for once. Life is full of surprises I suppose.

Chris had his arm in (Y/N) and faked wiping tears away like he was her actually dad. This gained a lot of laughs from everyone, myself included. (Y/N) made her way over to me and carefully grabbed my hands.

"You look beautiful." I smiled at her whispering. She smiled back thanking me quietly before the random marriage guy began his speal. I didn't pay attention to much as he continued to go on and on with the normal marriage speech

After listening to him for a while, (Y/N) and I exchanged our vows. Everyone smiled and awed at pretty much every word we said. It was nice seeing how supportive everyone truly was, especially the guys.

And before I even knew it we had both said I do and we were legally married. (Y/N) had the biggest smile I had ever seen. I smiled back at her and pulled her into a kiss while everybody cheered and awed once again.

I couldn't believe we were actually married now! The best thing I had ever done looking back now was posting that stupid add on craigslist. I expected a roommate and ended up getting a wife. It's crazy how things can just work out like this.

(Y/N) pulled away from the kiss and smiled looking up at me. I grabbed her hand and we walked back down the aisle. Now there was only the after party before we could finally go back home and enjoy the rest of our lives together.

(Y/N) POV:

You were ecstatic about how the ceremony went! It went perfectly how you envisioned it going! And the best part is you and Ricky are legally married now. You and your new husband were currently sitting at the bride and grooms table while everyone else talked and enjoyed the company of everyone else.

It was such a pretty wedding ceremony and reception. However if you could have changed anything, you would have changed the fact that your family wasn't here to see any of it. It was nice that all of Ricky's friends were here, but it was kind of sad how you didn't have any family or friends of your own here.

You quickly pushed those thoughts out of your head and moved your hand over to Ricky's, putting yours in his carefully. He looked over at you and gave you a small smile.

"You okay?" He leaned over and asked softly so no one else would hear him. You gave him a small nod before speaking up.

"Yeah it just sucks I don't have anyone here...." you shrugged and looked out at all of Ricky's friends. Ricky nodded and put his hand on your back. He knew he couldn't say anything that would make you feel better.

"Well hey come on let's go dance." he laughed and stood up grabbing your hand. You smiled and stood up with him. Both of you couldn't dance so this was going to be interesting.

You walked your way out to the middle as Chris yelled at everyone else to move so you and Ricky could have your first dance. Ricky smiled at you as you wrapped your arms around his neck and he did the same around your waist. You both slowly swayed to the song you had agreed on, after all this was going to be an important song for the rest of your lives.

Ricky tightened his grip on you and pulled you even closer to him. You laughed softly and laid your head on his chest. Both of you enjoyed the moment to the fullest, It was such a sweet and tender moment that you would both remember for the rest of your lives.

--------------------

It had finally hit you once the song was over and you and Ricky had walked off the dance floor, you had just had your first dance with your now husband. You and Ricky both sat down at your table once again watching everyone else dancing. Your head found its way back to his shoulder, resting carefully on it. His arm made its way around your shoulder carefully.

Was this what the rest of your life was going to look like? If so you were ready for every part of it. You looked up and smiled at Ricky. HIs blue eyes stood out like they always did and you couldn't help but fall in love with how they sparkled all over again.

"I love you." You both laughed, it was clear to everyone there that the two of you were meant to be together. Just the way that the two of you acted around one another was adorable in itself. The guys had never seen Ricky like this ever before, and they could see that he really loved you.

You were ready for his crazy touring schedule and possibly being able to go on tour with him. He was ready to share his bunk with you and show you around all of the venues. Without even having to say it to one another, you both knew that you were ready for the challenges life was going to throw at you.

"Cut the cake already!!!" You and Ricky laughed and stood up as Vinny yelled at the two of you.

You grabbed the knife and Ricky put his hands on yours. The two of you cut the beautiful wedding cake and before you knew it, Ricky had already put some of it on your face. You laughed, wiping it off and did the same to him. He scrunched his nose and cut the two of you each a new piece.

--------------------

Ricky walked out of the building with your hand in his. You slowly followed behind him and as you walked out you saw that the guys had put a bunch of cans on the back of Ricky's car and decked it out with different wedding sayings. Ricky laughed and so did you, did you really expect anything less from them though?

Ricky opened your door for you and you gratefully got in. He then walked around to the other side of the car and got in the driver's seat. You both drove away with huge smiles on your faces.

"WERE MARRIED!" You yelled laughing as Ricky continued to drive back to what was supposed to just be craigslist home.

"I KNOW!" He laughed replying to you before grabbing your hand and rubbing it with his thumb. Sure it was a little early for you two to get married considering that you had only been together a total of 4 months but you could already tell that this was going to work out for the better.

Maybe someday you and Ricky would start a family of your own. One thing that was for sure though, was that you were going to live out the rest of your lives together.

"I love you." He smiled looking over at you as he pulled into the driveway.

"Well if you really loved me you would help me get out of the car and out of this stupid dress." You laughed as he got out of the car and walked over to help you get out.

He carefully picked you up and carried you inside despite how big the dress was. Damn he really was a superhero. You laughed and helped him open the door when he struggled to do it by himself. After getting inside, he gracefully sat you down and pulled you into a deep kiss.

Even though nothing was really different, it all felt different to you. You finally mattered to somebody. After basically all of your family had passed, it became difficult for you to really see the joy and beauty in life. But now that Ricky was here with you, you could finally enjoy waking up every morning knowing that he would be right there next to you.

You quickly pulled away and wiped a tear away from your cheek. Ricky looked at you confused for a second.

"Thank you for giving me a reason to wake up every morning." You sniffled and looked up at him, a small smile spread across his face.

"Thank you for giving me a reason to smile." He wiped the tears away from your face as you smiled even more.

"I love you Ricky Olson"

"I love you too (Y/N) Olson"

This definitely was a day that you would never forget for the rest of your life.
