Chapter 12

SONG: MR LOVERMAN - RICKY MONTGOMERY

"Please don't do that ever again." MacGregor sighed pouring excess water out of his shoes. Everyone went their separate ways, Lily releasing her hold on Lily walking to the edge of the boat as Rose walked to the back.

"I could turn the boat around and we could head back to town, how's that?" Frank asked MacGregor, pointing behind him to the wheel.

"That may be the first intelligent thing you've said since we met." Frank turned around heading towards Lily taking MacGregor's answer as a yes to going back.

"How about you, Pants? You ready to go back to town?" Lily shook her head quickly looking even more pale now. "No?"

"I uhh actually loved, uh the whole experience. I,... i found it uhhh I found it exhilarating." Lily stumbled on her words.

"Really?" Lily nodded again. "You're looking a little green around the gills. That's why I'm asking. Are you okay? Are you hungry?" Lily gags but stops herself. "Yeah, she's hungry." Frank continues to torture her. "Have some cured piranha if you think you..." Lily couldn't held it any longer as she leaned over the side of the bed letting it all out. "You did good." Frank patted Lily's back as she was still hunched over the edge, gagging himself at the image.

"How bout you Mini-Pants?" He approached Rose, Rose looking even worse, as white as snow. "You wanna turn back?" Rose shook her head furiously like her mother trying to hold everything in.

"You sure? You not scared." Rose shook her head even quicker. "You sure about that? You weren't scared when we were going through those rapids."

"No no! I don't know where you could've got that idea from."

"Just looked like a little koala, clinging onto Pants there." Rose shrugged pretending not to understand.

"You know it's ok to be scared?" Frank kneeled down smirking, nit knowing what he was doing. "It's also okay to let out what you're holding in there." Rose turned quickly coughing and spluttering, like her Uncle, mother and even Proxima who had a little drink to herself down below deck, Rose let all out.

Lily rushed to her side as unlike herself Rose didn't have her tied up. Lily bunched up Rose's blonde hair in her hands, transferring it into one hand using the other to rub her back.

"You think you're funny don't you." Lily turned to glare at Frank still standing there, Rose still coughing, tears brimming her eyes.

"Mum seriously he doesn't know it's fine."

"No it's not!" she snapped. "Do you not know when to stop joking about and how to be serious for once?!" Lily glared Frank again. Frank thought it would be best, being smart for once, to leave the two alone not wanting to get Lily more angry or get in more trouble.

"You ok Petal?" Lily's eyes turned from angry to filled with concern and worry but with love.

"I'm fine Mum." Lily hugged Rose again tightly. "I'm fine."

"No bumps, bruises, head injuries, no more injuries, nothing?" Lily pulled away from the hug cupping Rose's cheek to check for any visible signs of any injuries.

"No nothing Mum." Rose chuckled slightly. "He didn't know Mum you can't be angry at him."

"But still he can be serious for once, everything with that man is a joke." Lily rolled her eyes.

"I love you." Rose giggled at her mother leaning her head on her shoulder.

"I love you more Petal." She kissed Rose's forehead before standing up and holding out her hand for Rose to take. "Come on your Uncle Mac and Frank are going to get wood for the fire tonight, let's go braid your hair." Rose took her mother's hand. "It's more practical and easier and plus i love your hair in braids."
