Chapter 11

SONG: RASPUTIN - BONEY M

"Here we go!" Frank took a depth breath as he used full throttle going down in a slight dip officially heading into the rapids making the boat jolt side to side, front and back, all in different directions.

"Oh my God!" Lily gasped as MacGregor lost his grip on both Lily and Rose causing him to flying forward, sending him on the other side of the boat, clinging onto dear life, whereas Lily tightened her grip on Rose quickly spinning the girl round so she was facing her now. Rose pushing her body into her mother, now showing some vulnerability and fear, wanting to be closer to her mother and wanting her to hold her close.

Seeing as the boat was going in full speed to help themselves not be in control of the strong currents of the water, but they were suddenly heading straight for a rock sticking out from the water. Frank grunted as he tried his best to avoid it and not to crash into it and successfully so. This, however, properly sent MacGregor over the edge, not physically over the edge of the boat but he lost his grip again at the sharp turn, nothing to cling onto and stop himself from falling MacGregor found himself sliding round the wet deck of the bow of the boat.

"You okay, Lady?" Frank turns round to Lily still clinging onto her daughter and her daughter doing the same out of fear.

"I'm fine." Lily breathed out through her nose.

"You wanna turn back, Mini-Pants not enjoying it,?"

"Nope just getting started." Lily shrugged surprising Frank, also protecting her daughter knowing she didn't like to show vulnerability in front of anyone that wasn't her or her Uncle.

"Good." Frank sighed heavily at the fact that he might not get out of this as easily as he hoped. "Me, too." Frank increased the speed as the was a clear enough path without too many obstacles to pick up the speed a bit more, if he went anymore faster, well he couldn't. MacGregor spooked Lily and Rose by knocking on the small window, having been tossed and turned around the whole boat.

"Slow down." MacGregor whimpers, Frank completely ignoring him, needing to concentrate as Rose and Lily each held a hand trying to grab hold of MacGregor who again was holding on for dear life and struggling to stay on his feet.

Frank fiddled with the gears as Lily and Rose failed to get hold of MacGregor as he feel flat on his face heading for the bow of the boat again. "You wanna turn back?" Frank turned around again.

"JUST DRIVE!" Both Lily and Rose snapped at him in sync.

God knows what Frank was doing as he turned the wheel repeatedly making the boat turning in circles many times making Rose and Lily sick in the stomach and go pale. MacGregor now near the front of the boat but clinging onto the side getting absolutely soaked, of course Frank, Rose and Lily were wet but MacGregor was soaked through.

"Looks like you wet your pants, Mini-Pants."

"That was a wave." Rose spoke through her teeth trying to keep last night dinner down.

"You should both give up." Frank sighed.

"You should give up the guitar." Lily spoke in the same tone as her daughter previously did. Frank forgot about concentrating on the rapids as he glared at Lily.

"Um Frank owes me money!" Rose pointed to where the water ahead of them seemed to be dropping, realising it was a waterfall Frank took control of the wheel again and with all his might trying to turn away from the instant death.

Frank managed to turn the boat around so it was facing away from the edge of the waterfall but now was the difficult part to try and use the boat's full speed to go against the strong current trying to send them over the waterfall.

"Come on, buena niña!" Frank murmured to the boat as both MacGregor and Rose whimpered at the sight of them getting closer and closer. Rose turned to her mother hugging her tighter as Lily tightened the hug as well resting her chin on her daughters head.

"Mum I'm scared." Rose whispered to her mum not wanting anyone else to hear it, especially Frank.

"It's ok Petal I've got you I'm not going to let you go, you're safe."

"Come on!" Frank grunted using all his force to get the engine going again. Suddenly something thankfully kicked into place, as the four felt the boat jolt forward and quickly pick up speed moving further and further away from the edge as they turned round coming completely away from the waterfall and rapids and on a calmer path.
