Kenma Kozume

A/N: A short one, but I hope you like it! <33

"Endearment"

---------------

"Kozume! Can you come here for a sec?" Almost immediately the setter was in the kitchen beside you, gazing at you with befuddled feline eyes. Your faces were inches away from grazing each other but Kenma wasn't moving-- or speaking.

Surprised, it took you a moment to proceed with what you were previously meant to ask your boyfriend.

"Sorry for interrupting your game Kozume--" He flinched, quite visibly, and you raised a brow in concern. "A-Are you alright Kozume?" The pudding-head flinched again.

He wasn't answering so you called out his name again, and he responded with the same little jolt. Under different circumstances you would have found this cute, but Kenma was acting strange for some reason and you began to grow worried.

"Kozume please tell me what's wrong." You frowned. Finally, after a few more ushers, Kenma suddenly envelops you into his arms, his face against your shoulder, and says something but his voice was muffled by your sleeve.

"What?" You requested for him to say it once more whilst pulling away, only to see that the setter was pouting.

Kenma sighed, "I'm sorry if I was on the game for too long, please don't be mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you!" You immediately reassured.

You were wondering how in the world he'd get that idea when you weren't even showing signs of being upset. "You know I don't mind you playing games even if it goes on 'til night, right?"

"...Then why aren't you calling me Pudding...?" He leaned against your shoulder again, now flustered.

You blinked a few times, rerunning the sequence of the previous scenario in your head. A black cat with bedhead prancing around your thoughts was chanting 'aho' when you came to realize that you've been addressing your already-distressed boyfriend by his first name instead of the usual term of endearment he went by.

Almost instantly after everything fell into place you wrapped your arms around Kenma and mouthed a thousand apologies but he didn't feel like that was enough. Without another word exchanged, he dragged you to the bedroom and pushed you onto the soft cushions of the mattress.

Needless to say, the casserole you had in the oven almost burnt your house down.
