Kuroo Tetsurō

"I'm With Her"

---------------

Your day had been progressing rather blissfully but it was when your shift ended late into the night, that you stumbled upon a nuisance.

Working part-time as a florist's apprentice, you weren't safe from 'potential suitors' either as your occupation was where most flirts stopped by and you'd catch the eye of some. This one in particular however, just happened to be the creepiest you've encountered.

He was average in height and lanky, but his arms showed some muscle so he's not as scrawny. He tends to drop by every now and then with a couple of peers, and you'd be forced to interact with him considering he was a customer. This guy would try and strike up a casual conversation, as if he's known you for years.

What frustrated you more was the fact that he wouldn't even purchase a single bouquet. If he was planning to court you, he could at least help you out with your job.

Once, he'd attempted to confess his feelings actually, but you caught onto his motives and switched to another customer before he could, whilst telling him to 'look around to see if he's interested in the selection', to which he subtly snarled at.

Tonight, he was alone, and he was waiting, for you.

Fortunately for you though, he was outside, and upon seeing you flip the hanging sigh from 'We are Open' to 'Sorry, we're Closed', you could see excitement flicker in his eyes as yours made contact with his.

Smiling nervously, you beelined to the back of the flower shop, into the staffroom where you were swift to exchange your work uniform for your school uniform.

You were a second-year at Nekoma, real close friends with a certain introverted, pudding-head who always had his head stuck in virtual reality. You weren't that social, but you were quite acquainted with your school's boys' volleyball team and even had a small crush on their team's captain.

Another reason why you wanted to avoid this guy at all costs, seeing as you get rather panicky under the pressuring presence of a stranger. And you get tongue-tied so you might say something you'd regret. You were aware that you could turn him down the moment he confessed, but his eyes gave way to a sinister glint that made you want nothing to do with him.

He was definitely plotting something tonight and you couldn't afford to know what.

Going out the backdoor, you silently prayed his smug expression wasn't there to greet you and thankfully, the odds weren't against you. You pursued the path of the alleyway until it paved the way to the street where the flower shop was.

You crouched down to pick up a stone for safe measure as you take a sneak peek at the front of the flower shop, your eyes widening at the petrifying sight of the male's constricted pupils staring daggers into the glass windows of the place where you worked, as if expecting something, or someone.

'He's right outside!' You inwardly gasped, feeling your heartbeat quicken. His neck was craned slightly down but his form was very still, like a predator sparing patience for its prey's arrival. 'Oh hell no..!' You gulped, clutching the rock tightly between your knuckles.

From a little ways past him, you see the lights of a vehicle approaching  and hope ignited within you as you hear a barrage of honking. As soon as his head snapped to look at the commotion, you silently slipped past and sprinted like hell, letting go of the pebble.

It was until you crossed the street and into a local convenience store, that you let out a sigh of relief. You knew you got lucky and there was still a chance he could spot you walking out, so you took out your phone and dialed one of the few numbers you had logged into your contacts.

"Come on Kenma... Please pick up... Please..." You chanted, staring desperately into your phone as it kept ringing your pudding-headed best friend. Formation of tears pricked your eyes as you hear it transfer you to voice mail, but you didn't give up on dialing him yet.

You were so engrossed into wishing that Kenma would pick up that you didn't notice someone closing in on you. When you saw a hand grip onto yours, your blood ran cold.

"H-Hey..." A familiar voice stammers, clearing their throat to dismiss their stutter. Gasping, you look up to see Kuroo, wide-eyed and relieved that it wasn't your stalker, you were on the verge of breaking down of fright.

Kuroo's eyes softened at the sight of you. He raised his arms cautiously, snaking them around you slowly, and when you didn't react against his actions, he took you into his comforting embrace.

"Poor thing, you're shaking, (y/n)-Chan..." The raven-haired volleyball captain gently caressed your distressed tufts of (h/c), waiting for you to calm down a few minutes before asking about what had happened to have made you so shaken-up.

"Kuroo-San..." You sobbed slightly, finding your words. "I-I got off work late... A-And there was this guy-- he's always at the shop, he w-was waiting for me. I got so scared..." You spoke through sniffles and Kuroo shushed you, implying that he'd understood and you need not stress anymore.

Kuroo's hand cupped your cheek, at this you'd turned your face to meet his gaze. He gave you a reassuring grin, one that he'd flash his teammates whenever they were uncertain about a match-up, and at that moment, you knew you were safe now.

It felt so right yet so weird though, to the both of you, as the two of you embraced as if you were together. The notion of letting you go never flashed into Kuroo's mind, and to you, you yearned to stay in his arms where you felt the warmth of his body radiate onto yours and yours to his.

You could stay like this forever, but you'd preferred it to be in a much more private area, and not in a shabby convenience store where the staff manning the counter was staring daggers at you.

"You got yourself a stalker huh?" The bed-head snickers and you nod in return. "Well too bad..." His eyes travelled from your eyes to your lips then back again as his grin turned into a heart-piercing smirk, "Cause you're mine, Chibi-Chan..."

"E-Eh...?" Was the only phrase you could conjure up in response to Kuroo's bold claim. This made the taller male all flustered and he began to ramble incoherently.

To be honest you found it cute that this once previously-confident male was now stumbling upon his words in regards to your bashful reply.

"L-Look, I like you... Like a lot.. A-And..."

Your lips tugged into a small smile, "I like you too Kuroo-San..." You confessed, crimson dusting your cheeks. At your expression, Kuroo swore he felt blood trickling down his nose but refrained himself as he took your hand into his.

"Go on and pick out a few snacks... I was on my way to Kenma's and figured I'd stop buy to get him some food and thank God I did..." He sighed out. 'I am so lucky!!' You silently thanked the planets for aligning to give you this opportunity.

As Kuroo escorts you outside with a hand 'round your waist, you caught a glimpse of someone from the corner of your eyes. Upon habit, you turned to see the male from earlier sending a shiver down your spine, but you knew you were alright.

"...(f/n)..." Your face scrunched up subtly, your first name rolling off his tongue sounded so unpleasant to you. "You said you weren't dating anyone." The guy was now clearly upset to see Kuroo having you so close to him.

"You were supposed to be reserved for me...!" His voice raised, and that was when you snapped. "I owe you nothing! You have no ownership over me, and whatever claim you think you have on me, I forsake it because HE'S with me!" You scowled, pointing to your now-boyfriend who was surprised to hear the volume of your voice rise in such a short amount of time.

Guess he really provoked you.

"Yeah," Kuroo follows up, glaring down at the shorter male who felt chills upon the captain's stare. "I'm with her, try and stress her out again... I won't hesitate to shove a gallon of vinegar and baking soda down your throat and up your ass and make you my cousin's science fair project." Kuroo threatened, "But with you as a pathetic excuse of a volcano I don't see see her getting first place." With that, you both turned your backs to the stupefied stalker.

= Extended Ending =

Kenma felt guilty for having not answered your calls upon hearing your previous circumstance. Too guilty for your new boyfriend's/his best friend's liking, seeing as the gamer practically hogged you.

He let you braid his hair as he dropped his game to converse with you. "I won't like it... But I can walk you home after practice..." Kenma suggested, earning a grunt from Kuroo.

You smiled at your friend, "That would--"

"--be unnecessary!" Kuroo chimed in just before you could agree to the offer. "We're dating now so... That's my responsibility!"

"Huh, about time..." Says Kenma, shooting a glance at his bed-headed friend who was blushing a deep shade of red.
