Bokuto Koutarou

A/N: Soft, silent and sensitive Bokuto ahead!

"Thunderstorms"

---------------

You were beyond terrified, to a point where you were convinced you weren't going to make it through the storm this time. Not with your anxiety piling up, on the verge of overflowing.

Ever since you were little, a subtle crack of thunder would scare you so much that you often sought haven in your dresser, where you blocked out your sense of hearing by blaring music from your headphones.

However your phone just died, and the power went out, just your bloody luck.

It didn't help that one of your primary sources of comfort wasn't available because the two of you had a brutal argument the day before and the two of you showed no intention of talking to each other due to pride.

Honestly, you weren't certain of how the fight even broke out and got so severe. And even if you did want Bokuto to come and save you from this tragedy-- you couldn't reach him.

"And it's not like he'd care anyway..." You whimpered, pulling your knees up to your chest. "He has volleyball."

Another clack of thunder sent your form trembling.

You recalled that your argument originated from a simple question that you raised. It concerned how Bokuto was so engrossed in his volleyball dilemmas that he began to neglect you. You only pointed it out but the male simply shrugged it off as nothing and that was what made you upset with him.

How the argument escalated from there was history.

You tried to stand up, gathering all the courage to attempt at getting yourself a candle at least. Walking cautiously, you navigated yourself through your room and out into the corridor leading to your kitchen.

The apartment you lived in wasn't that massive, so the kitchen was right around the corner. The slowly knelt down to the level of the cabinet below the sink, where you keep the candles and other necessities in emergency situations.

Just as you lit the first and possibly the only candle you could-- there came a loud bang, then another, it was coming from the door.

"W-Who--" You tried inquiring only to be interrupted by the deafening roar of thunder, of which lasted about five seconds, emitting a petrified screech from you. You collapsed onto your knees, dropping the now-unlit candle as you blocked out the noise by shielding your ears with your hands.

The door bursts open and the intruder scurries into your apartment. You just sat there, awaiting the inevitable, all the while crying your eyes out in both fear and frustration.

"(y/n)!!" A voice you familiarized with hollers, but you didn't look to see who it was. You were already preoccupied with your own troubles. There came a moment of silence before you were taken into someone's embrace, their chin settling on top of your lowered head.

"K-Kou..?" You recognized his touch, he was the only one who radiated this soothing warmth off of his body after all, though you could feel a little dampness on him. He must have been jogging through the rain to get to you. The feeling dispelled some tension off you, and you settled more into his envelopment, sobbing into his chest.

Bokuto growls, "Damn it. I'm s-sorry..." He closed his eyes, tightening his hold on you but he was still careful not to hurt you. "I let it get to my head-- volleyball, I mean..." The ace whispered, causing you to raise your head and look at him.

You gave him a sympathetic smile, "I s-should have understood y-you though. You loved v-volleyball before you loved me after all." You protested, shaking your head.

*Clack!*

Startled, your hands shot up to cling onto Bokuto's form, pulling him back to you again. "Even so. You're supposed to be my priority (y/n)-Chan, let your boyfriend handle this for you." Bokuto reassured, lifting you from the ground.

"My hero..." You sniffled with a sarcastic hint, earning a grin from your boyfriend. "I'll make it up to you (y/n)-Chan, how 'bout I sing for you?" Bokuto offered, radiating an intense amount of confidence that he practically glowed.

"Please don't."
