"No." Charli says closing her locker.

"I made a mistake." I say.

"You blackmailed me." Charli says walking away.

"That was a year ago." I say.

"I don't care." Charli shouts turning the corner.

Last year, Charli accidentally sent me photos that aren't kid friendly. I have a crush on her so I blackmailed her into sending more. Then Chase stole my phone and those photos were everywhere. She thought I released them, she still does.

Charli just dropped me and got Chase to kick my ass. I was in ICU for 1 week, no one cared though. Griffin was the person who visited every now and then.

I miss Charli a lot though, she used to be my biggest supporter.

There's a knock on the door and I open it. I see Charli covered in snow and she was crying.

"What happened?" I ask letting her inside.

Charli looks at me and starts crying more.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me." I say closing the door.

She hugs me and I gently rub her back.

"C'mon." I say.

I take her upstairs and into my room.

"Here. We can talk about it whenever you're ready." I say handing her clothes and a towel.

"Thank you." Charli manages to say.

I smile and she goes in the bathroom.

15 minutes later...

"You wanna talk about it now?" I ask as Charli drinks some of her coffee.

"Mhmm." Charli says nodding her head.

I sit next to her and she holds my hand.

Chase... he... um..." Charli says.

"Take your time." I say.

"He lost his temper and hit me. It had been going on for a while and I was tired of it. I hit him back and it got worse after that." Charli says putting the ice pack back over her eye.

I move her wet hair out of her face and she looks at me. She blushes and I kiss her.

"Why'd you release those pictures if you have feelings for me?" Charli asks.

"I didn't, Chase did. As an excuse to kick my ass." I say.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She asks.

"I wanted you to be happy, even if it meant going through that." I say.

She hugs me and I smile.

"I gotta go to the office. I'll go to the cafeteria after." Griffin says.

"I'm gonna sit with Charli." I say.

"You're friends now?" Griffin asks.

"Dating." I say.

"Alright, I see you." He says.

I laugh and Griffin smiles before walking away. I go in the cafeteria and sit next to Charli. I see Chase glare at me and we walks away.

"I think I did well. I regret staying up and watch movies with you all night." Charli says.

Charli opens the door and Alex hugs her leg tightly.

"Hi, buddy." Charli says picking Alex up.

We sit on the couch and Charli turns the light off.

"I haven't seen you in a while. Do you remember me?" Charli asks as I pick the remote up.

"Yes." Alex says.
