Part 3: First Mission

[Y/n POV]

I made it to São Paulo a day ago. Dad said this mission should take about a week. I had to set up the batwing in a clearing in the rainforestforest. There was also a small hut for me to use while I'm here. But it's not like I was going to be sleeping here anyway. I check the time and see that it's about 1:00 in the afternoon. I still got a lot of time before I get to work. Maybe I should check the nearby favelas for any info. I had already setup everything I need for my work so  I might as well.

You put on a t-shirt, cargo shorts, a cap, and a pair of sunglasses. You also grab your backpack with a few things to help with info gathering. Then you start your walk towards the favelas.

Time Skip 30 Minutes

It took a some time, but I made it. I make my way through the crowded streets. Missing posters line the walls of almost every building. I look at all the posters and I notice a pattern. Every person that has gone missing is female. On top of that they are between the ages of 18 and 30. I take a poster that's looks to have been put up recently. A woman by the name of Taina Pereira has gone missing a couple days ago. Age 20. Her last known location isn't to far from where I am. I walk through the busy streets and get to my next location. There is a small corner store on the street. I guess I should start there. I walk in the store and see a middle aged woman working the cash register.

(Y/n): " Excuse me ma'am do you speak English?" I really need to work on my social skills a little bit.

Woman: "Yes I do. How can I help you." She says in a Brazilian accent.

(Y/n): "I came here to ask a couple of questions about this woman". I show her the poster "I was wondering if you had happen to seen her a few days ago?"

Woman: "Ah yes I saw her alright, she stole some stuff and ran off."

(Y/n): "Do you know where she could have gone?"

Woman: "I have no idea all I know is that she sped off in a white van. The van had no windows and had no license plate. I figured she was just a petty theif."

(Y/n): "Do you know which direction the van went?"

Woman: "The van seemed to have been parked on the corner of the street. When it drove off it turned left."

(Y/n): "Thank you for the information ma'am."

Woman: "No problem, have a good day."

(Y/n): "You too. Bye."

I walk to the corner of the street where the woman said the van was parked. I search the area for clues. I look on the ground of the street and notice tire marks. They seem to curve to the left just like the woman said. I also notice a bottle of soda on the ground. The outline of a puddle stains the side walk. Who would waste a nearly full beverage. I continue looking and notice a very small amount of blood on the ground. So small that no one would notice if they pass by. In the very small amount of blood I notice something else. A chipped finger nail. I search my bag and pull out a cotton swab and collect a small amount of the blood along with the finger nail. I make sure to put the samples in a small plastic container and store it in my bag. I got to get these samples back to the hut. I have some equipment there that will help me find out who's DNA this is.

You set off back to the hut in the rainforest to figure out what exactly happened.

Time Skip 1 Hour

I finally made it back to the hut. Now time to figure out what happened.

You walk into the hut and take out the blood and finger nail samples. You run the finger nail sample through your DNA analyzer first. The test results come back. The finger nail belongs to Taina Pereira. You then run the blood sample through. After a couple of minutes the test results come back. The blood belongs to a man named Gabriel Carvalho. You run the name through a database and find his criminal record. Charged with assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft auto, and possession of cocaine.

You start to put the pieces together in your head. After Taina stole from the store she flead down the street only to be pulled into that mysterious van. Which explains the spilled drink. Taina tries to escape. She scratches the kidnapper (Gabriel), chipping her nail and making him bleed in the process. After the successful kidnapping the van then speeds off which explains the tire marks on the street.

You look to see if Gabriel has any owned properties. He owns a small 3 story building on the outskirts of the city. If he's responsible for these disappearings then that's where all the missing women are.

(Y/n): "looks like I will get this done sooner than expected."

You look at the sky and see that night has come. You walk to the batwing and open a compartment that holds your suit. You put your suit on and hop into the cockpit of the batwing.

(Y/n): "Time for the bat to make his return."
