[Y/n POV]

Bruce: "Alright son, today is the first day of your very intense training. Not only will you be challenged physically, but you will be challenged mentally. Do you think you can handle this."

(Y/n): "Don't worry dad I think I can manage. What are we going to do first."

Bruce: "First you must become one with your fears. In order to do this you must face your fear directly."

(Y/n) knew what was about to happen. He had a face of worry, but he was going to push through one way or another. Bruce could tell that his son was concerned. But he saw something else in his son's eyes. Determination.

Bruce and (Y/n) grab some gear to go in the unexplored parts of the bat cave. As they both walk through the dark caves with nothing but a large glow stick. At least that's what it looked like to (Y/n). Bruce taps on (Y/n)'s shoulder then hands him the light. They walk towards what looks like a small cavern. Not even Bruce knew this was here. What he did know for sure is that there are certain creatures lurking in the darkness.

Bruce: "Go ahead son I'm right behind you."

(Y/n) walks forward only to the swarmed by a storm of bats. (Y/n) gets down to the floor terrified until he feels his dad's hand on his shoulder.

Bruce: "Remember son be one with your fears."

(Y/n) then nods. He then slowly stands in the storm of bats. (Y/n) opens his arms closes his eyes and become a one with the storm. Bruce smiles at the sight. He smiles because he sees what he was when he first became the Bat.

Time Skip 1 Week

It is 5 in the morning when Bruce wakes up to the sound of an alarm clock waking him up. Bruce gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom to get ready for the day. He walks out of the bathroom and heads straight to (Y/n)'s room to get him started on today's training session. He knocks on the door then walks into the room.

Bruce: "(Y/n) get up it's time for your trai-"

Bruce looks to the bed to see no one in it. He walks out of the room and into the hall. Alfred walks by and notices Bruce.

Alfred: "If you are looking for master (Y/n) he is in the cave. It seems he wanted to begin his training early. He's already been up for an hour."

Bruce makes his way to the cave. When he enters the cave he sees (Y/n) already taking strikes at a punching bag. (Y/n) sees his dad and stops what he's doing.

(Y/n): "Hay dad. I couldn't sleep so I wanted to get an early start on training today."

Bruce: smiles "It's fine. So are you ready for today's lesson."

(Y/n): nods

Bruce: Alright today you get to mess around with some gadgets."

Time Skip 5 Years

(Y/n) is now 17 and has nearly perfected his combat. He has become familiar with every gadget, and has become on with his fears. But he needs a few more lessons and he will be ready to wear the cowl. Bruce and (Y/n) are in the cave. (Y/n) looks eager to start todays lesson.

(Y/n): "So what's today's lesson dad. More hand to hand, detective work? Oh oh can I we mess around with the explosive gel again."

Bruce: "Haha. No we not going to do any of that. Today you gets to play with this."

Bruce gestures towards the batwing. (Y/n) was excited. He's been waiting so long to drive the vehicles.

Bruce: "Are you ready."

(Y/n): "I'm more than ready dad."

Bruce: "Alright hop in."

(Y/n) and Bruce hop in the cockpit of the batwing. (Y/n) takes the front seat while Bruce takes the back seat.

Bruce: "In order to take off first you turn on hover mode, then turn off the landing gear."

(Y/n) does exactly what his dad says. Once they are ready Bruce tells (Y/n) to take off. Soon the are flying above the clouds. Just to make sure no one sees them. This feels almost natural to (Y/n). His hands on the wheel and gliding through the air.

Bruce: "He's almost ready I can feel it". "Alright let's head home your mom will kill us if we are out for to long."

(Y/n): "Haha. Ok dad."

They make it back to the cave. Only to be met with a angry Selina. Bruce and (Y/n) can feel her cold stare.

(Y/n): "Um. Hi mom hehe."

Selina: "You two were gone for nearly five hours. You both are lucky that this was training. Now come on Alfred is already preparing dinner."

Selina, Bruce, and (Y/n) walk to the lift and get ready for dinner.

Time Skip 5 Years

He's finally done it. (Y/n) has mastered his hand to hand combat, become one with his fears, knows what every single one of his gadgets does, and knows how to drive every vehicle.

Bruce: "(Y/n) you have mastered every technique and you have prepared for every situation. And also did so faster than I expected. It's finally Tim that I gave you this."

Bruce presses a button on the bat computer. Then all of a sudden something starts to elevate from the ground. (Y/n) couldn't believe what he was seeing. His very own bat suit.

Bruce: "Son are you ready for your first mission."

(Y/n): "Yes. Yes I'm."

Bruce sits down and starts typing on the bat computer.

Bruce: "Your first mission is in Brazil."

(Y/n): "Shouldn't I be in the city instead of out of the country."

Bruce: "This is to test you son. If you can stop this then you will have proved that you truly are Batman. I need you to go to São Paulo, Brazil. There has been a wave of kidnappings. This is a sign human trafficking. I've seen it before. So, do you think you can handle it son."

(Y/n): "Don't worry dad. I sure I can manage."

Bruce: "Alright then, you leave tomorrow to start. I know you will good son."

Bruce leaves the cave leaving (Y/n) to stare at the bat suit. He looks directly at it and sees his reflection on the glass his face aligning perfectly with the mask.

(Y/n): "They will know fear."
