Epilogue

"So you wanna hang out tonight?" Alice asks leaning over her desk.
"Alice you know I can't, I've got things to do." I say smirking.
"Ohh right." Alice nods. She knows what I'm talking about.
"Sorry, BJ." She whispered, I roll my eyes. I look at the time and it's time to go home. I grab my coat and phone and I see I've just gotten a text.

I'm here.

I say a quick goodbye to Alice and run down the hall to the stairs. I make it outside and see Bruce leaning on a sleek black car, his eyes lock with mine and I run towards him. Bruce gives me a kiss and we hop into the car speeding down the road.
"Any reports on the whereabouts of the Joker?" I ask.
Bruce pulls out a file from the back seat and hands it to me. "These are his most recent acts and kills."
"Oh god.." I say looking off the file, I smirk as I see something isn't there anymore.
"Oh finally they took BJ off the list of workers." I say smiling to myself.
"You should see it on Batman's file." Bruce says looking at me while one hand on the wheel. I smile and him and close the file.

We arrived at Wayne manor and we are greeted by Alfred.
"Good day Miss James, how was work?" He asks taking my coat. I told Alfred a thousand to call me Chrissy, but I beat he only does it to annoy me.
"Oh the same old Alfred. Is the training room ready?" I ask smiling as Bruce walks off with the Jokers file.
"Like always Miss James." Alfred leads me to the training room down in the Bat Cave. When we get there I see that Bruce is sitting at a table going over the file and planing tonight out. I change into my training outfit and take my shoes off. I throw a few punches at air to practice, but find myself looking at Bruce.
"Hey lover boy!" I yell from across the cave, my voice echoing through out the cave.
Bruce turns around with a pen in hand.
"How about a few rounds of fair play?" I ask putting boxing tape around my fists.
Bruce looks at me and shakes his head no, and turns back to his work.
"What's wrong? Afraid a girls gonna be you up?" I say in a baby voice. I've never trained with Bruce in the three months I've lived in Wayne manor. He's always working on a way to get the Joker. Of course some days I help out but I'm always training myself better.
Bruce turns around slowly as a smirk plays on his face.
"Oh your on."

SLAM!!! Bruce falls to the ground for the sixth time in the past 30 minutes. Bruce wanted to play fair so I am. I've definitely improved from the last three months. Bruce, now sweaty, with no shirt, probably regrets playing fair.
I laugh as he looks up at me from the ground. Bruce looks angry as I put my hands on my hips and smirk down at him.
"Beat by a women." He says in a low whisper and falls onto his back.
"I've gotten better from my villainous days." I say helping Bruce up.
"I've noticed." Bruce says rolling his eyes.
"Don't worry," I grab my water and Bruce gets a shirt. "I'll go easy on you next time." Bruce laughs and rolls his eyes.

The next morning I wake up and head downstairs and see Bruce, wearing black pants, and a grey shirt, with his blue housecoat over it.
"Hey look at this." I say pointing to the morning paper. Bruce walks over with a piece of toast in hand and some other papers.
"Didn't you see that at work?" Bruce asks and I shake my head. His face goes pale and he puts his toast down.
"This wasn't this weeks draft." I say feeling my blood boil.
"The front paper was supposed to be about Batman and Blue Jay helping rid the crime in the city. I saw that copy! This is messed up." I say slamming the paper down onto the table. I storm pass Alfred and he nods a good morning. I grab my phone and dial Alice's number, I listen as it rings.
"Hello?" Alice says, sleepily.
"Did you see this mornings paper?" I ask walking back to the table.
"Yeah I let you proof read the front page." I can hear her moving in bed.
"Yes I know, but did you see the paper now?" I ask growing angry, Bruce and Alfred share a glance.
"Hold on I'll check." She says as I hear a door open and close. "Oh my god..." Alice gasps.
"I know, how did this happen?" I ask looking and Bruce.
"I don't know, oh god. Did Bruce see it?" Alice asked.
"Yes, listen I'll talk to you later okay?"
"Okay, please be careful." Alice hangs up. I slam my phone on the table and run my hand through my hair.
"I thought this was all over." I say in a whisper. Bruce pulls me in a hug and nods for Alfred to leave the room.
"I don't know what to do." Tears build up in my eyes and Bruce holds my face with his hands. "It was terrifying. I don't want this again." I say as Bruce shakes his head.
"It won't, I promised nothing bad would happen to you now didn't I?" Bruce asks, I nod and he nods too, pulling in for a kiss. We pull away and he leads me away from the paper on the table. The paper with Blue Jay with Joker style makeup on it and DIE written all over the picture.

I let the breeze run through my hair in a tight ponytail. I close my eyes and feel at peace at night. I look up and see the stars are out and smile to myself. I hear heavy footsteps behind me and I see a shadow from the lights of the night.
"Where are we going tonight?" I ask not turning around. I hear no answer and nod my head. "As usual, I get it." I smile and jump off the building and glide down to the Narrows. I jump into an alley way when I hear some thugs from the Jokers working. I throw a smoke bomb and I hear the men cough and try and wave the smoke away. I jump onto one of them and flip him on his back and I jump up and kick the other in the chest. I look around and start to climb up the alleyway again. I see a black figure stand next to me.
"I did the usual." I say waving my hand turning to him.
"Good, now let's go to the docks." Batman says in his sandpaper voice.
"On it." I say running to the edge of the building and jumping with my arms spread wide. My wings pop out and I glide to the docks to scout the area before Batman gets there. Hoping this would all go away.
