Date Night Ruined

I lunged at Batman as he turned and let me fall into the air. I turn and throw a shock ball at him. He groans and falls to his knees. "By now I had hoped you had become strong enough to handle these, but I guess I was wrong." I say kicking him in the chest as he falls back I step on his hands. "Remember this?" I ask as he grabbed my foot and pulls me down with him. I fall next to him but he grabbed me hands and pushed me across the floor and hit the wall. I groan and get up, "out of all the nights, you ruined date night." I say kicking him and throwing punches. He grabbed my hands and bent them back, I scream in pain as I feel my bones crack. I kick him and he does nothing. I pry my arms away from him and grab a nearby chair, quickly, before he can hit my again I smashed the chair over his head. He falls to the ground in pain, I smirk down at him. My victory is short lived because he grabs my legs, making my head hit off the ground as my vision blurred. I hear the Joker laugh. "Well see, I told you! He's a threat!" He says as he disappeared out the window with some new henchmen. Batman then sat me up and tied me to a chair and led all the people out of the restaurant. After the noise was gone an it was only me and him, he started to question me again.

"Why do you do this?" He asks. "I already told you." I say trying to open my eyes as my head starts to hurt. "No, you have a motive, people always have a motive." He says standing in front of me, I glance up at him as I see him eyes, it's a mix of brown, green, and blue. Kind of like Bruce's. "I don't need one." I say growing angry. "Everyone has one." Batman states again. I look up t him again, I squint my eyes at him and title my head. "Who are you, really?" I question as he stares at me. "You've done a lot for this town, and gotten nothing in return. A question I should ask you is... What's your motive?" I ask as we don't break eye contact. "I don't have one." He says saying what I had said. I smirk and say, "everyone has one." My attention goes to the window which is broken but the lights still go through. But they are not the city lights, blue and red flash from down the road and police cars are heard from down the road. I look at Batman as he starts to go to the window to leave, "Hey!!! You can't just leave me!" I say yelling at him. He looks over his shoulder and jumps out the window. I screamed his name once or twice and decided that it was time to get out of these ropes. I smack my hip against the chair and a shock ball falls into my hands. I flick it at the ropes and it burns on impact, leaving burns on my wrists. I sprint to the window as I hear cops yell. "Stop right there!" I hear them yell behind me. I turn and look at them. "State your name! Now!" Another yells. "Blue Jay." I say and fall out the window into the night.

I make my way back to the warehouse where I first meet the joker. Blood drips from my nose and my lip got split open too, my hands are in a lot of pain, and I think I bruised a rib. I stand under the light in the warehouse as the Joker walks into view. "So, come back for a chat?" He asks smirking. I let out a deep breath, "You've got a deal."

The next morning I found myself wondering about Bruce. I never saw him after I ran off to change into Blue Jay. I sat on the roof of my apartment building warping my wounds from the night before. I finished warping my wrist as I heard a noise down below. I stand up from the chair I brought up, and lean over the edge. A bright red car caught my eye as I smiled. I rolled my eyes as I saw the man in his brown leather jacket and sun glasses. Being eight floors up, I could tell it was him. I walked back to my chair and sat down, but after a few minutes I heard the steel door open and close behind me.
"Looking for me?" I ask not turning around. I hear his heavy footsteps grow closer as he laughs. He takes a seat next to me on an old steal box. I look over at him as he's looking out over the city, I find myself smiling as I watch his eyes light up. He looks at me and smiles back. "I'm sorry about last night." He says putting his sunglasses on the top of his head. "It wasn't your fault, things happen." I say looking at the sky. "Out of all the nights." I say smiling again. Bruce stiffs a laugh.

For some reason I feel an odd feeling around him. Like I've been around him more than I've known. "Where did you go? I was looking for you and I didn't see you." He asked as I focus on my wrist. "I was looking for you, but things got crazy when Batman and Blue Jay came around." I say looking back at him. "Hmm, yeah it was crazy. But she's got guts." Bruce says as I smile. "Yeah she does, and he's pretty slick, in a cool mysterious way." I say looking at him once more, he's lost in thought. "I wonder who she is." Bruce says in a low whisper. I look away from him and wonder. Should I tell him? Would he leave me.
"Bruce." I say started to shake.
"Yeah?" He turns to me.
"I... Um..." I start to panic and shake my head. "We should do something again." I say giving a weak smile. He lights up, "I agree. How about now?" He asks as I laugh and accept his offer.
