A Fight on Both Ends

"I like a women who reads." Says a voice behind me, I turn around with the paper in my hand, that has red ink on it and see Bruce leaning in the doorway. I sigh as my heart stops beating so fast and smile at him.
"Something to keep in mind." I say glancing around the big library. Bruce starts to walk towards me and looks at the paper in my hand.
"I see you've been reading the paper. Sorry about the red ink." He says pointing to the paper in my hand by my hip. I lift it up an look at the ink again.
"It's fine." I say looking at him then back at the paper.
"So I'm guessing your on the train of finding out these masked villains and heroes?" I ask giving him the paper. He nods his head and looks at the picture.
"Yeah I guess so. She needs to be stopped. She's a threat to everyone in Gotham." Bruce says putting his hand through his un-greased hair. I feel angry boil in me.
"Why? I mean your just a billionaire! What could you do? Call all of your snobby friends to throw golf balls at her?" I ask raising my voice. Bruce looks at me in surprise.
"I'm only saying that she's thrown this whole city into even more trouble and-"
"Oh save it! You haven't even meet her, no one has! You don't know her reasoning!" I say stomping away from him,
"Chrissy Wait!" He yells after me as I stormed away, I found my way out of the manor, but Bruce was still on my tail. Once I was in the garden he pulled on my arm, I squirmed in his grasp as he held my arms.
"Chrissy listen to me!" He says, I lift up my leg and kick him in the stomach and he lets me go as he coughs, stumbling to the ground. I grin as I remember doing that to the mighty Batman, it's hard to kick him, and it was hard to kick Bruce. I storm away from Bruce and start to walk alone as the sun was bright in the sky.

The night came and I had to chat with the Joker. I went back to the warehouse and stood under the light like always.
"We must stop meeting here." I say as I hear him walk closer. "It's not safe to always stay in one spot."
"I'm sure you have experience with that?" He asks stepping in the light, showing his clown painted face.
"Doesn't everyone?" I ask glancing around the dark room.
"So you ready to talk about Batman?" He asks smiling. I nod my head in response, not really sure what I'm getting myself into.

"So," the Joker starts as he has told me everything. "Every time I go out on one of my sprees you..." He points to me as I have to finish what the sentence is.
"I have to join you and protect you." I say nodding my head.
"And when Bats shows up you..."
"Do everything in my power to kill Batman." I say
"Exactly! Good girl!" He says patting my head.
"Now what do I get in return when he's dead?" I ask folding my arms. The Joker points his finger at me.
"An easier job, and a big pay of any amount you wish for." He says starting to circle me. I nod my head but look at him again.
"And what happens if I don't go through and don't kill him?"
"You have three chances, once the third is up then I will find out who you are, make sure Batman knows, so he and I can make your life a living hell. I will make sure of it." He says towering over me. "Now than." He says going back to his odd self. "Let's get to work."

2:38 am, on the roof tops in the heart of Gotham. The only people around are the drunks, police and the Joker and his men walking down the street shooting guns. Getting his favourite enemy's attention, Batman. He was in the middle of the street yelling his name and shooting a gun every few seconds. I was ducked down hidden away on a roof, watching over the ledge. I hear a loud noise, like a motorcycle. I look down the road and see a big dark motorcycle with a big dark figure sitting on top of it. Batman. I look back at Joker who is now alone in the middle of the road. Batman is still zooming down the street as I keep looking and waiting for the Joker to move. But he doesn't. He keeps yelling at Batman for him to hit him. I feel like the world is in slow motion. I see the Joker in the middle of the road standing, with his arms open wide like he wants Batman and his motorcycle to hug him. Batman on the other hand, is still going full speed at the Joker, willingly accepting his hug. I jump off the building and land right in front of the Joker and slash his front tire, making the bike fly up with Batman on it. I watch as the bike lands with a lifeless Batman next to it. I look back at the Joker who motions me to go towards him. I look back at the black dressed man on the ground and start to walk closer, with both swords in my hands. I stand above him and kick his side as he groans.
"The great Batman, he can't even take a slashed tire." I say as I put him on his back. I stand up straight and point my sword, inches away from his face. "Y'know, you should really watch the speed limits." I say as he stands up, holding his side.
"What are you doing with the Joker?"
"Here we go, 20 questions." I say rolling my eyes.
"What are you doing with him?"
"What are you, my over protective boyfriend?" I say getting mad. So is he. He growls at me as I nod my head. "I got hired by him! I need some money. And my only way to get money is from you." I say stabbing my sword into his shoulder. He yells in pain and pulls my sword out and swings a punch at me, but missing.
"Ow, that gotta hurt." I say jumping behind him. I smack my sword against his legs, making him fall again.
"Wow Batman, weak on your knees?" I ask bending down a little. I stab my sword into the same shoulder, but deeper.
"Get up you lazy Bat!" I yell kicking his side. He stays on the ground as I grow angry. I look around the empty road and see that the Joker in gone. I groan and kick him again.
"GET UP!" I scream. I guess he got annoyed because he grabbed my feet and pulled me down to the ground. Smacking my head against the ground and seeing the world go blurry. In the midst of my blurry vision, I see the tall black figure stumble off into the dark.
