Upon reaching the hospital, Dong Hua was immediately rushed into the Emergency Room.

Feng Jiu helplessly stood outside the room and waited for the doctor to update her on Dong Hua's situation.

After 10 minutes, the doctor came out of the room and informed Feng Jiu that Dong Hua needed Emergency Surgery to stop his bleeding. He also needed a blood transfusion due to the massive loss of blood.

The doctor told Feng Jiu to contact Dong Hua's next of kin to come to the hospital immediately, to sign a consent form for the surgery before they could operate on him. But Feng Jiu didn't know who to contact at this point.

Due to the dire situation, she quickly signed the papers, claiming to be Dong Hua's girlfriend, so that they could immediately proceed with the surgery.

Feng Jiu sat outside the operating theatre and waited for Dong Hua to come out from his surgery safely. She was shaking with fear and couldn't think straight. All she could do now was to pray for Dong Hua's safety.

After a long 2 hours wait, the surgeon finally walked out of the operating theatre. The worried Feng Jiu immediately stood up and ran towards the surgeon, anxiously asking about Dong Hua.

The surgeon then took off his surgical mask and said, "The operation was very successful, and the patient is out of danger now. The bleeding had stopped, and it will take some time before the patient wakes up. But the patient also suffered a concussion. At this point, we are not sure how bad the side effects would be. We will keep him under observation and assess him again once he is awake. We will be transferring the patient to his ward now, so please proceed to the registration counter to settle the paperwork for his admission."

Feng Jiu was feeling relieved after hearing what the surgeon said. And without further ado, she hurried down to the registration counter to process the paperwork for Dong Hua.

After she was done with the registration, she went to get herself a cup of tea and tried to calm herself down.

As it was past midnight, Feng Jiu decided that she didn't want to disturb her friends at this timing, and she will inform them about it tomorrow.

She was utterly exhausted, but she didn't want to leave Dong Hua alone in the hospital by himself. Fortunately, she only lived 10 mins away from the hospital.

Feng Jiu then took a cab home and packed some daily necessities for herself and Dong Hua. She took a quick shower, got a new change of clothes, and quickly headed back to the hospital to accompany Dong Hua.

Feng Jiu sat beside Dong Hua's bed and gently wiped his hands with a damp cloth. She noticed that Dong Hua's hands felt so cold.

Feng Jiu then placed her hands over Dong Hua's hands, rubbing it to warm his hands up.

She stared at the unconscious Dong Hua and tried to process her thoughts. She thought to herself that yesterday they were still strangers and now she's here holding on to his hands.

"Is this all real..? Dong Hua got injured because of me, and he's lying here in front of me now".

Feng Jiu found it hard to believe everything that was going on. With so much on her mind, Feng Jiu started to feel more and more sleepy. She eventually fell asleep in her chair.

When Feng Jiu woke again, the sun was shining on her face, and she could hear birds singing softly outside the window.

"Hmm... How long did I sleep for?" Feng Jiu rubbed her eyes and yawned. She slowly sat up and stretched, as her body was stiff from sleeping in an awkward position all night.

She quickly checked on Dong Hua, and it seems like he hasn't awakened yet. Then she got up, took her necessities bag, and went into the washroom to wash up.

Dong Hua's finger started twitching, and it appears that Dong Hua has finally awoken. He slowly opened his eyes and tried to sit up in bed, but he couldn't do so because he was in a lot of pain.

Dong Hua squinted his eyes, and he noticed that everything looks blurry. He rubbed his eyes a few times, trying to see better, but he still couldn't see clearly.

He started to panic and felt breathless. He was freaking out badly now, and he started yelling for help.

"Where am I?! Is anyone here?! Can anyone help me? I can't see anything!"

Upon hearing Dong Hua's voice, Feng Jiu dashed out of the washroom. She saw Dong Hua panicking, and trying to get out of his bed. She immediately ran over and gave him a big hug.

"Don't be scared, Dong Hua. Don't worry; I'm here for you." Feng Jiu gently patted Dong Hua's back while trying to calm him down.

Then she pressed the emergency bell to alert the nurses. The nurse came running into the room and immediately left to call for the doctor after seeing Dong Hua awake.

"Where is this place, and why am I here?!"

"Dong Hua, you're in the hospital now. Calm down, you'll make your injuries worse if you don't calm down! Don't worry, the doctor will be here soon." Feng Jiu continued to reassure Dong Hua while trying to calm him down.

Dong Hua touched his head and said, "Who is Dong Hua...? I can't remember anything! I can't remember why we ended up here!"

Feng Jiu was shocked that Dong Hua couldn't remember anything. She knew Dong Hua suffered from a concussion, but she didn't think that the side effects would be this severe.

Dong Hua then held on to his head in pain as he tried harder to remember everything. But he couldn't remember a single thing, and it was giving him a massive headache.

At this moment, the doctor came in to check on Dong Hua and told Feng Jiu to wait outside.

Feng Jiu anxiously waited outside for him. She quickly called her friends to tell them everything that had just happened. Cha Cha, Cheng Yu, and Lian Song then rushed down to the hospital. At the same time, she called her manager and applied for a leave of absence until further notice.
