A week and a half passed. Dong Hua and Feng Jiu did everything a couple would do.

Whenever Feng Jiu had an off day, she would go on a date with Dong Hua. They went for a picnic, watched a movie together, and they would often go around hunting for good food.

They lived every single day in happiness, and everything seems to be so perfect.

They were out having lunch at a nice cafe and enjoying their date. Dong Hua also needed to visit the hospital later on, for his Bi-weekly check-up.

"I don't ever want this to end." Feng Jiu said.

"I promise you, Jiu-er. Even if someday we somehow managed to lose each other, I'll search every corner of the world just to find you."

Dong Hua smiled at Feng Jiu while tightly holding on to her hands.

"We should leave for the hospital now before it gets too late!" Feng Jiu said.

"Aww, I wanted to spend more alone time with you, Jiu-er!" Dong Hua pouted, as he was unwilling to leave.

"It's okay! We can continue our date after your check-up!"

Feng Jiu then dragged Dong Hua out of the cafe after paying the bill.

On the way to the hospital, someone appeared to be following them again.

They arrived at the hospital, and Dong Hua went for his checkup. The doctor said that his eyes were fully recovered, and it seems like he was recovering well. Then they were told to return two weeks later for his next check-up.

"Sit here and wait for me to come back, Dong Hua. I'll go settle your bills, and I'll be back shortly!"

A strange man walked up to Dong Hua after Feng Jiu left.

"Are you Dong Hua?" The strange man asked.

"Yes, and do you know me?" Dong Hua casually replied.

Feng Jiu returned when the strange man was about to do something to Dong Hua. He immediately ran away upon seeing her.

"Who is that, Dong Hua?"

"I don't know, Jiu-er. He knows my name, though."

"Hmm... that's weird. We should quickly head home now! I'm getting tired, can we continue the date again, on another day?"

Feng Jiu suddenly had a bad feeling about it. She wanted to head home immediately, before informing Lian Song and Si Ming about it.

"Sure, Jiu-er! We should quickly head home to rest if you're feeling tired!" Dong Hua then held on to Feng Jiu's hand, and they left the hospital.

Once they stepped out of the hospital, they noticed a familiar face across the street. It turns out to be Ye Qingti, and he was doing a parcel delivery nearby.

"Qingti! Qingti!" Feng Jiu yelled out to him, from across the street.

Ye qingti turned around and waved at them. The jealous Dong Hua then gave a half-smile and waved back. Then he held on to Feng Jiu's hand tightly.

Ye qingti noticed Dong Hua holding on to Feng Jiu's hand, and he felt a little upset.

Feng Jiu then signaled for Ye Qingti to wait for them, as they cross the road to meet up with him. Then the traffic light turned green and they started crossing the road.

Suddenly, a car ran through the red light, and drove full speed towards Dong Hua and Feng Jiu.

It appeared that the driver was the same man from early on, and he was the stalker that had been following Dong Hua and Feng Jiu.

"Watch out, Feng Jiu!"

Ye Qingti screamed at the top of his lungs and sprinted towards them.

He pushed them out of the way, protecting them from getting hit by the car. Then the driver quickly drove off after hitting them.

Dong Hua rolled across the road, hit his head hard on the road curb, and passed out. Ye Qingti lay motionlessly on the road, with blood gushing out from everywhere.

Feng Jiu struggled to get up, while she noticed that she was bleeding from her arms due to abrasion, and her right leg was in tremendous pain. Then she slowly limped towards both of them, checking to see if they were okay.

"Help! Please, someone, help us!" Feng Jiu cried loudly. The onlooking passersby quickly ran into the hospital and called for help. Another passerby called for the police.

Then Feng Jiu fainted from the shock. All three of them were rushed into the A&E department. It was unclear how severe their injuries were, at this point.

"Ouch... why does my body feel so stiff? It hurts everywhere!" Feng Jiu woke up slowly and noticed that her right leg was in a cast.

After she regained her senses, she immediately pressed the emergency button to call for the nurses. She was extremely worried and needed to know how Dong Hua and Ye Qingti were doing.

The doctor came in shortly to check up on Feng Jiu.

"You suffered a minor fracture on your right leg. For it to heal faster, you'll have to stay in bed for the next few days and try not to walk. The injuries on your arms will heal in a few days, and it won't leave a scar." The doctor explained to Feng Jiu.

"Doctor, do you know what happened to the two people who were also in the same accident as me?!" Feng Jiu anxiously replied.

"Well. One of them had a minor head injury from knocking his head. Although everything else seems fine, he is still unconscious. But the other one wasn't as lucky. He fell into a coma. His injuries were quite severe, and we are guessing that it would take a long time before he could even wake up. You can visit them later in the ICU ward."

Feng Jiu broke out into tears when the doctor left, and tears flowed down endlessly from her eyes. She didn't know how to react to this news.

Then she got the nurse to bring her a wheelchair so that she could go to the ICU ward. She needed to see Dong Hua and Ye Qingti badly, even though the doctor told her to stay in bed.

Feng Jiu arrived at the ICU and found out that Dong Hua was unconscious, and Ye Qingti was in a coma.

She visited Ye Qingti first and started crying upon seeing him.

"Why are you so stupid, Qingti?! Why did you save me? The person lying there should be me. I'm so sorry, Qingti! I promise I'll wait for you to wake up from your coma. Please, just wake up. I'll do anything that you ask of me if you wake up!"

Feng Jiu couldn't stop crying, and it was making her feel light-headed.

Then she left the ward and went to visit Dong Hua. Dong Hua was out of danger, but he was still unconscious.

Feng Jiu held on to his hand and said, "Please, wake up soon, Dong Hua. Qingti is in a coma now, so nothing must happen to you too! We promised to go on another date together, so you need to wake up soon!"

Feng Jiu held on to Dong Hua and cried non-stop. She was exhausted from all the crying, and she fell asleep.

"Miss, please wake up. It's past visiting hours, and we will be transferring the patient to a normal ward now. Head back to your ward to rest, and you can visit again tomorrow." The nurse woke Feng Jiu up.

"I'm sorry, I'll head back to my ward now." Feng Jiu apologized to the nurse.

She gently caressed Dong Hua's face and looked at him again before leaving.

"I will visit you again tomorrow, Dong Hua."

Then Feng Jiu left the ICU, and slowly pushed herself back to her own ward, in a wheelchair.

She quickly texted everyone to tell them what happened and told them to come to the hospital tomorrow.

Then Feng Jiu passed out on her bed in exhaustion.

You sacrificed your own life to save me, Ye Qingti.
And now, I owe you my life.
