Fengjiu leaned back in her chair and gazed out of the window. She smiled softly, comforted by the sight of those beautiful peach blossom trees outside.

"What a beautiful day", she silently thought to herself.

The smile on Feng Jiu's mouth faded as she thought of Dong Hua once again, moving on wasn't as easy as she thought it would be. She had tried keeping herself busy recently but she still can't get Dong Hua out of her mind.

Feng Jiu frowned and reassured herself, "No matter how much it hurts now, I know someday I will move on from Dong Hua. Smile and keep looking forward, everything will be fine."

Absorbed in her own thoughts, she didn't notice Cha Cha walking into the classroom.

"Are you daydreaming again, Feng Jiu?! Wake up now! Professor Su will be here anytime." Cha Cha's loud voice startled Feng Jiu.

"Oh, Cha Cha, you're here! I'm sorry, I didn't see you coming in as I was admiring the beautiful view outside." Feng Jiu said as she snapped out of her thoughts.

She didn't want Cha Cha to know that she was still thinking of Dong Hua as she was feeling embarrassed about it.

"Everyone back to your seats now and quieten down. The class will start soon. Before I start the class, I have something to announce." Professor Su said while walking into the classroom.

Cha Cha excitedly turned to Feng Jiu and said, "Who is that handsome guy beside Professor Su?! I've never seen such a handsome guy on campus before."

Feng Jiu shrugged her shoulders and nonchalantly replied, "I have no idea, I've never seen him before too."

"Before I start the class, I'd like to introduce to everybody, a new transfer student. He will be joining our class from today onwards. I'll let him introduce himself now." Professor Su said.

The handsome young man walked up to the front of the class, smiled brightly and cheerfully said, "My name is Ye Qingti, nice to meet you all! I recently transferred to Qing University and this is my first day on campus, I hope that we will all get along."

Upon seeing Ye Qingti's handsome face up-close, it caused a small commotion among the girls, who were gushing about how handsome he was. Ye Qingti was unsurprisingly the ideal boyfriend to many girls.

Feng Jiu was lost in thoughts so she paid little attention to what was happening in front of the class. All the girls except Feng Jiu were staring at him.

Although Ye Qingti was always popular among girls, he didn't like any of that attention.

Feng Jiu attracted Ye Qingti's attention because of that reason, thus he was adamant in getting to know more about Feng Jiu.

"Alright Class, let's get settled down now! Ye Qingti, go find yourself a seat. The class will be starting now." Professor Su said sternly while trying to calm the class down.

Certainly, Ye Qingti picked the empty seat beside Feng Jiu and sat down.

Cha Cha was excited at the thought of a handsome guy who everyone was interested in, chose to sit beside them.

Cha Cha then turned excitedly to Feng Jiu and nudged her on her shoulders, hinting her to take a look at whoever was sitting beside her but Feng Jiu's mood was foul these days, so she didn't care to reply.

Ye Qingti swiftly turned to Feng Jiu and nervously said, "Hi! What is your name? I am interested in you."

"Huh? What did you just say?!" Feng Jiu shockingly exclaimed. She was dumbfounded at what she just heard.

"I am so sorry! I don't mean it that way, I meant I was interested in being friends with you. I apologize, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable!"

Ye Qingti flustered as he quickly tries to explain himself. Embarrassment crept onto his face as he laughed nervously.

"Haha! It's okay, don't worry about it! I'm Feng Jiu, and she's Cha Cha. It's nice to meet you." Feng Jiu promptly replied.

Feng Jiu then laughed heartily and their awkwardness melted away.

"Since I'm new here and don't know anyone yet, would it be okay for me to join you both for lunch later on? I hate eating alone! I would understand if you both feel uncomfortable with it, I'll find someone else if that's the case." Ye Qingti asked shyly, with an innocent smile on his face.

"Don't worry! We are totally fine with it! Since it's your first day, we could also bring you around the school so you can familiarise yourself with the campus too." Cha Cha then nodded in agreement.

"Thanks! That sounds like a great plan! I look forward to our friendship!" Ye Qingti gasped excitedly.
