From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", on the road, Ari's bike drove down the road. The Jeep followed.

Scott: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "Just thinking."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the woods, Liam had had his hands clenched into fists the entire time. He opened them to reveal they were bloodstained and healing from clawing into himself.

Tara: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "About what?"

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the loft, Scott and Tara were sitting inside the loft in the dark, looking out of the wall of windows to watch the storm, on the floor, leaning against the wall.

Scott had his arm around her shoulders. "Senior year."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the school hallway, Malia, Lydia, Stiles, Scott, Ari, Stacie, Adriana, Kira and Angel walked down the wide staircase, with Scott and Ari leading the way.

Scott: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "I've been thinking about..."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the hospital hallway, Liam and Natalie smiled small smiles. Liam pulled her closer to kiss her slowly and sweetly at first. It started to build more and more.

Scott: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "The last few months."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", outside the loft building, in the pouring rain, Scott pulled Tara into a kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck. They continued to kiss passionately in the pouring rain.

Scott: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night)"Things have been good."

A man was lying on the ground, mortally wounded, torn into and nearly dead, covered in his own blood, reaching a hand toward the three Martins.

Tara: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "Or really bad."

From 5.05 "A Novel Approach", outside the high school, Stacie was outside, waiting, dressed in running clothes, hot, sweaty and tired. She sighed tiredly, tilting her head back, closing her eyes, feeling the cool breeze against her skin for a moment.

A teenage boy walked up silently behind Stacie. He raised his hand, which seemed to have a lamprey mouth in the skin. He latched his hand onto Stacie's shoulder from behind.

Stacie opened her eyes, seeming to be in anguishing and excruciating pain, screaming as if she was dying. 

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in a hallway of Eichen House, Lydia walked down the corridor emotionlessly.

Valack: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "Tell me, Lydia. It started just after you began senior year."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the Jeep, Liam and Natalie were still in the backseat.

Liam put an ear bud into his ear.

Natalie turned to look behind them.

Valack: (voice over from 5.01 Creatures of the Night) "What happened?"

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the tunnels of the school in the pouring rain, Ari and Adriana jumped into the air to get enough strength to punch a creature in the chest at the same time, the movement enough to send sonic waves through the air and send the creature flying into the stone wall behind him, breaking it on impact.

A teenage boy walked closer. He looked at Adriana. "Hey, Adri. It's been a long time."

Adriana looked at him in shock. "Oh, my God. Theo." She looked very nervous, really expressionlessly. "What do you want?"

Theo looked over all of them. "I want to know if I can be part of your pack."

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", outside the school, Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari, Adriana and Theo were talking.

"Everybody knows that lone wolves, they don't make it on their own," Theo told them.

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in a lab, three nearly robotic figures walked toward the creature that Ari and Adriana had been fighting.

Deaton: (voice over from 5.02 Parasomnia) "I'm starting to wonder if the rules..."

From 5.05 "A Novel Approach", in Eichen House, Stiles, Stacie and Lydia were hiding behind a wall.

Deaton: (voice over from 5.02 Parasomina) "Of our supernatural world..."

Angel was carrying Kira. Kira was flickering and pulsing with blue current and electricity.

Deaton: (voice over from 5.02 Parasomnia) "Aren't as rigid as I once thought."

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", in the clinic, Scott, Tara, Natalie and Deaton were talking.

"Or maybe someone's trying to change those rules," Tara told them.

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", in a hallucination, a girl was standing at her locker, seeing a looming shadow.

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in a basement of a house, the creature gripped Jordan by his throat, lifting him off the floor.

From 5.03 "Dream Catchers", in the warehouse district, the girl attacked a prison transport van.

From 5.05 "A Novel Approach", in the school library, Stacie looked at the boy attacking her angrily, throwing a knife toward him, impaling him in the shoulder.

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", on the roof of a house, there were several dead birds.

From 5.06 "Required Reading", in the school weight room, Theo was shirtless, sitting down at a butterfly press machine starting to work out. 

Adriana tried not to look at him.

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", in the woods at the tree, Theo and Adriana were talking.

"You've changed, Adri," Theo told her.

Adriana was trying not to let him see how affected by all of this she really was. "So have you."

On the outer edge of the treeline, Stiles, Natalie and Liam were watching.

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", in the woods, Adriana sighed in exasperation, turning to face Ari. "What do you want from me?"

"I just want the truth," Ari answered calmly, gently.

From 5.10 "Status Asthaticus", in the hospital hallway, Natalie was shifted, letting her eyes glow gold, lowering her hands to her sides, claws growing. She roared in uncontrollable anger.

Scott: (voice over from 5.08 Ourboros) "Something's changed."

From 5.06 "Required Reading", in the pool room, Angel was drowning, slowly sinking to the bottom of the pool. She opened her eyes. They were glowing a fiery gold.

Scott: (voice over from 5.08 Ourboros) "Between my friends and me."

From 5.14 "The Sword and the Spirit", (flashforward), in a cave, Malia was cowering in a corner, looking terrified.

A shadow loomed over her.

Scott: (voice over from 5.08 Ouroboros) "I think it's because of me."

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the road in the pouring rain, Stacie was crying in regretful devastation.

Stiles pulled Stacie into his arms, holding her comfortingly, protectively, sympathetically.

Stacie slowly returned the embrace, crying harder.

Scott: (voice over from 5.08 Ouroboros) "And I don't know how to fix it."

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in Eichen House, Lydia's room, Lydia instantly sat up, screaming a loud, Banshee scream that was powerful enough to make the lights shatter and sparks fall, leaving the room in darkness.

From 5.01 "Creatures of the Night", in the tunnels of the school, Kira took off her belt, snapping it into a sword, swinging it around.

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the school library, Tara let her eyes glow blue, raising her arms over her head, slamming her hands against someone's chest, looking toward the ceiling, roaring loudly in angry, devastated denial.

From 5.02 "Parasomnia", in the woods, Ari and Adriana were sitting on Adriana's car's hood. Adriana was crying.

Ari looked at Adriana sympathetically, sadly, pained by her twin's pain, wrapping an arm around her.

Natalie and Liam let their eyes glow gold.

Scott shifted, letting his eyes glow red.

Lydia was angry and worried, screaming a Banshee scream.

Valack sat next to her. "What happened to your friends?"

A robotic figure crawled along the lockers.

Ari was shifted, letting the irises of her eyes glow purple, growling uncontrollably.
