chapter 11 - The Last Chimera

Outfits in the external link

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the school hallway, Adriana was starting to remember more about what really happened the first few years after being taken.

Natalie: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in flashback in the dark laboratory, Young Adriana was on an exam table, unable to move or speak. The Dread Doctors stood over her, working over her, experimenting on her.

Adriana: (voice over from 5.09 Lies of Omission) "The wolves aren't the ones that took me. They aren't the ones that tortured me."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the school hallway, Adriana and Malia were talking.

Adriana was in shock, breathing heavily, overwhelmed. "The Dread Doctors did. I remember now."

"What about Theo?" Malia asked.

Adriana was in shock, breathing heavily, overwhelmed. "He either forgot, like I did..."

"Or he knew all along," Malia finished. "He's with them."

From 5.08 "Ouroboros", in the McCall House, Sheriff and Melissa were looking at the dead body on the kitchen counter with Kira's sword in her chest.

"There's a dead girl," Sheriff told her.

From 5.04 "Condition Terminal", in Sinema, Kira was glowing with Kitsune aura when Angel had to stop her from killing Lucas.

Melissa: (voice over from 5.08 Ouroboros) "You know it wasn't Kira."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in a classroom, Malia was researching the Desert Wolf.

The Desert Wolf: (voice over from 5.08 Ouroboros) "If my daughter's still alive..."

From 5.08 "Ouroboros", in the tunnels outside of Beacon Hills, The Desert Wolf looked at Deaton. "I'm just gonna have to kill her again."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the parking lot, Adriana, Stiles, Stacie and Angel were confronting Theo.

Theo looked at Adriana. "When you were an Alpha, and as far away from Ari as you could be, you were darker than any of us. And Ari was as pure as she could be. But when you're balanced, like you are now, then you're both in the middle. But what happens if someone knocks that off balance?"

"What did you do?" Stacie asked.

"Not what I did," Theo told them. "What the Doctors did. When they got a hold of Ari outside of Eichen all those months ago, they injected her with liquid hecatolite. She hasn't felt the full moon in months, and tonight's the supermoon."

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the school library, Scott was fighting with an out of control Ari under the supermoon, trying to get through to her.

Theo: (voice over from 5.10 Status Asthmaticus) "It's making everything worse. How do you think she's doing right now? Trapped with Scott with no way out for either of them?"

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the parking lot, Theo looked at Adriana. "And I'll give you a choice. Lydia is somewhere, unconscious, in the Doctors' lair. You can go save her. Or you can go save Scott from Ari."

Angel had her back turned to Theo, leaving a message for Mason.

Theo came up behind her, injecting a needle into her neck, drawing blood, the drug on the needle starting to make her weak. "Sorry, Angel. But lore goes that the Valkyrie chooses who lives and who dies in battle."

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the Preserve at the Nemeton, Theo injected Tracy, Josh, Cory, Hayden and Chayton with Angel's blood, bringing them back to life.

Theo: (voice over from 5.10 Status Asthmaticus) "That they can heal others just as easily as they can kill them. But it all starts with blood."

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the hospital operating room, Natalie and Chayton had lost control, fighting, but Tara and Liam had gotten them to stop.

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the school library, Ari pushed Scott to the floor, straddling him, slashing into him repeatedly. Ari fell to the floor next to Scott, no longer shifted, on the brink of dying. Adriana shook her head, running inside toward them. Adriana knelt next to Ari, taking the syringe, raising it above her head, stabbing Ari in the chest with it to inject it into her heart to cure her from the poison that the Dread Doctors filled her with before she could die.

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the basement of the Dread Doctors' old lair, Sheriff was on the ground, bleeding, dying. Stiles and Stacie ran inside toward him, looking at him desperately, kneeling on either side of him.

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the school library, Natalie, Liam, Tara and Mason had joined Adriana and Ari around Scott's body. Tara, Natalie, Liam, Adriana and Ari were roaring, together. Scott gasped to life, letting his eyes glowing red, roaring loudly.

From 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus", in the operating theater, the Dread Doctors were looking at a large painting on the wall. There were three creatures, beasts. One was on fire. One had wings. One was larger than the others, more muscular.

The Dread Doctors spoke together. "Le Bete. [The Beast.] Success."

Flash Forward - Lydia's Vision

Night - Bridge

Lydia was stepping through the water, in Eichen House's patient's clothing.

Valack: (voice over) "Tell me where you are, Lydia. Tell me what you see."

"The bridge," Lydia answered.

Valack: (voice over) "Keep moving. Describe what you find. Tell me what they did."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Reality

Night - Eichen House - Lydia's Cell

Lydia was laying on a bed with a hole drilled into her head.

Valack placed the drill onto the table next to him.

Lydia gasped in pain, breathing heavily.

"Stay focused, Lydia," Valack told her.

"What did you do to me?" Lydia asked.

"I've amplified your abilities," Valack answered. "Something that might just save the lives of your friends. Now focus on the bridge. On Theo. On Adriana, if it helps you focus on Theo. Why did the Dread Doctors have Theo let his sister die?"

"I don't know," Lydia told him.

"You don't see it yet," Valack told her. "Search for it, Lydia. Keep looking."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Lydia's Hallucination

Night - Bridge

Lydia was still in the water by the bridge.

Valack: (voice over) "Why did they let her die? What did they want?"

Theo's sister burst out of the water, scaring Lydia so much she made her scream. There was a hole in her chest that showed her heart was missing.

Lydia: (voice over) "Her heart."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Reality

Night - Eichen House - Lydia's Cell

Lydia was laying on her bed.

Valack was using a cloth to slow the bleeding in her head.

Lydia was breathing heavily in pain and shock. "They wanted her heart."

Valack went through Theo's medical records. "There's no record of a heart condition." He realized. "But a transplant would make Theo a genetic Chimera like the others."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flashback

Night - Dread Doctors' Lair

Young Adriana was in her cell, unable to fully realize what was going on because of the Dread Doctors brainwashing her into thinking that a Werewolf pack had kidnapped her and tortured her.

Valack: (voice over) "The hypothermic conditions would keep the organ viable."

Young Theo was laying on the exam table, also brainwashed not to fully understand what was happening, while the Dread Doctors worked around him, performing surgery to replace his heart with his sister's. Young Adriana was trying to get them to leave him alone desperately, but couldn't do much while she was in the cell, crying because she couldn't help him.

Valack: (voice over) "That's why they had taken your cousin Adriana, the half-Alpha, half-Beta half-breed, to see if they could make more hybrids like Adriana and her sister Arielle."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flash Forward

Night - Eichen House - Lydia's Cell

Lydia was laying on her bed weakly.

Valack was sitting next to her. "Their research on Adriana helped them realize how to make Chimeras. And Theo was the first one they tested this theory with, to see if it would work. And it did. Kidnapping these two innocent children and brainwashing them into the monsters that they would become in the future."

"Adriana is not a monster," Lydia told him weakly in defense.

"Not anymore," Valack told her. "But she was when she was with the Alpha Pack. You and your friends and family helped Adriana to her redemption, but no one's been able to help Theo with his."

"Why do you care?" Lydia asked.

"Because the Dread Doctors used your cousin Adriana to advance their research and studies with Chimeras," Valack answered. "Made it possible for them to create them. Theo was a first step in the right direction for the Dread Doctors. Think of who they are. Para scientists who have prolonged their lives and twisted the laws of nature in pursuit of one goal. The creation of the perfect killer, like what they've tried to do with Theo and with Adriana. And now they've done it."

"But they don't know who the success is," Lydia told him. "The last Chimera."

"It doesn't matter," Valack told her. "There's a reason they chose Theo, a reason he failed, a reason they changed their methods, and a reason they finally succeeded. And all of this is made possible because of what they did to learn from Adriana. It all started with Theo and Adriana."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

A guard was standing nearby the gate to Eichen House. He heard metal rattling and radio static from his handheld radio, checking the gate and his radio. He heard a growling behind him, turning around.

Tracy was standing there, partially transformed into her Kanima half, with claws, scales on her skin, and her eyes yellow. She growled, running closer to slash into the guard to paralyze him.

Another guard by the door was checking his radio as it started to static, turning it off. He heard someone approaching, turning around with his stun gun to try to hit the incomer. Josh was there, catching the stun gun in his hand, feeding off the electricity pulsing into him, letting the irises of his eyes glow purple like what Ari's used to be, growling with fangs grown.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Inside - Reception Area

Schrader was standing at the desk, hearing someone walk in. "Visiting hours are well past over."

Tracy and Josh walked in. Cory appeared from hiding by the wall.

"We're not here to visit," Tracy told him.

Schrader looked at them in shock.

Theo walked closer, smirking. "We're here for Lydia Martin."

¤•¤°¤•¤

There was a black wolf with red eyes.

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke. Tyler Posey.

Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.

Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.

A Dread Doctor's face appeared.

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing red. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was half-breed purple.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.

Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.

Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.

Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.

Natalie and Liam kissed slowly and softly.

Liam looked to the right. He was completely shifted. He returned to normal, looking straight forward, letting his eyes glow gold. Dylan Sprayberry.

On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.

The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.

Ari stared ahead, letting her eyes glow purple. The purple faded from her eyes, turning into red to signal that she had become an Alpha.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

Flashback - 5.10 "Status Asthmaticus"

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Angel ran into the hallway, coming to a stop when she saw the Beacon Hills High School sign had been thrown through the ceiling into the hallway, broken in half.

Valack: (voice over) "When did you know for sure? That the Dread Doctors had succeeded?"

Angel walked closer, looking up through the broken roof to see the nearly full moon in the sky.

Lydia: (voice over) "Angel found out that night."

Valack: (voice over) "The night of the supermoon."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flash Forward

Night - Eichen House - Lydia's Cell

Lydia was laying on her bed.

Valack was sitting next to her.

"But Angel didn't really know it yet," Lydia told him. "There was too much going on. The Dread Doctors had made Ari kill Scott and become an Alpha. Tara, Natalie, Adriana and Liam had to save both their lives. Natalie had almost killed Chayton when they both lost control. Kira was still gone. Malia was trying to find the Desert Wolf. Theo had taken Angel's blood to resurrect the Chimeras. I was missing. And Stiles and Stacie's dad was dying."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Now

Night - Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Operating Room

The doctors wheeled Sheriff into the operating room so that Macey could begin surgery to save his life.

"All right, we've got a liver lac and perforated intestine," Macey told them.

"Where's my kids?" Sheriff asked weakly.

"We're taking care of you, Sheriff, but you have to keep your oxygen mask on," Macey told him. She turned to Dr. Geyer, Liam's stepfather. "Contact the blood bank and type and cross match for four units of O neg."

Sheriff was getting even weaker, whispering against his oxygen mask. "Where's Stiles? Where's Stacie?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Waiting Room

Stiles and Stacie were standing at the front desk, talking to the receptionist.

"Stilinski, right?" the receptionist asked. "You said his insurance was with the county? He's a deputy?"

"No," Stacie answered. "He's the Sheriff. He's the county Sheriff. Okay? He's covered. I mean, he should be covered."

Stiles led Stacie away from the desk. "It's okay."

Melissa walked closer. "I'll take care of it." She walked toward them with a clipboard. "I texted Scott and Tara. They're coming as soon as they can. I can call Angel, Malia, or Ari and Adriana, or Natalie and Liam..."

"No, no, no," Stiles told her. "Don't--don't call anyone."

"Is there anyone else we need to notify?" the receptionist asked. "A next of kin?"

"No, it's us," Stiles told her. "It's just us."

McCall House - Scott's Bathroom

(Song:) Lost It All - Jill Andrews

Scott was showering the blood off of him from the fight with Ari, having been left badly bleeding and slashed after being resurrected. Tara was helping him with the wound in his chest, also very dirty from having to stop the fight between Natalie and Chayton in the hospital. She gently cleaned the blood away with the help of the running water around them. Scott winced in pain.

"Sorry," Tara told him.

Scott had been watching Tara the whole time. "I'm fine, Tara."

"No, you're not," Tara told him, looking up at Scott to see he was still looking at her. "What?"

"I screwed up, Tara," Scott told her. "Badly. So bad that I got myself killed and lost my pack. And if it wasn't for you, I would have lost everything."

Tara closed her eyes, shaking her head. "Scott..."

"How do you do it, Tara?" Scott asked. Tara looked at him. "Tara, how does nothing seem to get to you? How do you keep going the way that you do?"

"I got through what I went through the very worst way," Tara told him. "I closed myself off. I became stone cold. I became ice. So numb to who I was and who I cared about that I didn't care about what happened to me or to anyone around me. And I was that way for a long time. That changed when someone showed me that it was worth to feel... everything. Someone that showed me that if you're numb to who you are or what you want, what's the point of living? Don't do like I did, Scott. I wasted so many years of my life being like that. I don't want to see anyone else that way."

Scott nodded in understanding, looking down. He stood closer, inches away, looking at Tara. "I need to fix this, Tara." Tara met his gaze. "And by this..."

"You mean everything," Tara finished.

Scott nodded. "Yeah. I need to fix the pack. Tara, I need to fix me."

"And you will," Tara told him. "And I'll help you. Every step of the way."

Scott nodded barely, gazing off. Tara took his hand in her own, the single touch sending black veins up her hand, feeling the immense pain that he was in. Tara pulled her hand away in surprise for a moment, looking up at him. Scott lowered his gaze. Tara took Scott's hand, small, barely noticeable black veins trailing through her hand. Tara leaned closer to kiss him, black veins trailing through her lips and cheeks, wrapping her arms around his neck gently and comfortingly. They continued to kiss as she continued to take his pain away, with black veins trailing from his cheeks and lips to hers, as the water continued to pour around them.

Natalie's Guest Room

Natalie and Liam were sitting on Natalie's bed, as Liam was bandaging Natalie up from her fight with Chayton.

Natalie was gazing off expressionlessly.

"Natalie, it's okay," Liam told her.

"No, it's not," Natalie told him. "I could've killed Chayton, Liam. I almost did. I almost killed Chayton."

"But you didn't, Natalie," Liam told her.

"Yeah, because you and Tara were there to stop me," Natalie told him.

"Natalie, it's not your fault, okay?" Liam asked. "It's Theo, all right? Theo and the Dread Doctors. What they did to Ari, and what they did to you."

"Yeah, but because of our fight, because we were too distracted with having to bring me and Chayton back from losing control, we weren't ready enough to stop the Dread Doctors from killing him," Natalie told him. "And while that guilt is enough, what would've happened if I killed him? What then? I wouldn't be able to come back from killing a friend, Liam."

"I know, Natalie," Liam told her sadly. "Natalie, you're not taking the blame for something that the Dread Doctors and Theo did. No one's gonna blame you for hurting Chayton, Natalie. And you shouldn't blame yourself."

Liam touched Natalie's hand, receiving some of her pain from the fight when she had nearly killed Chayton and Chayton had nearly killed her. They both looked at each other. Liam leaned closer to kiss Natalie comfortingly and sympathetically, soothingly. Natalie deepened the kiss for a moment. They pulled away, leaning their heads together.

Beacon Hills Preserve

Jordan was taking Hayden and Chayton's bodies to the Nemeton, in a complete daze as he usually was when the Hellhound took over.

Angel was trying to follow him, but she was distracted and lost in the woods behind him. She was still emotional, overwhelmed and devastated after having seen Hayden and Chayton dead. She couldn't keep going, breaking down, falling to her knees, yelling in despaired anger.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

Stacie had fallen asleep in the waiting room.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flashback

Day - Cemetery

Stiles and Stacie had been eight years old.

Sheriff and Young Stiles were in suits.

Young Stacie was in a little dress, kneeling at Claudia's grave, crying.

Young Stiles placed a hand on Young Stacie's shoulder. "Stacie."

"Stacie," Sheriff told her. "You got to get up now. You need to get up."

Young Stiles helped Young Stacie stand. "Hey."

Young Stacie started to cry into Young Stiles's shoulder.

Sheriff pulled them closer. "You still got me."

Sheriff pulled Young Stiles and Young Stacie both into his arms.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Now

Night - Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Waiting Room

Stacie felt someone rouse her awake, gasping slightly.

Stiles was next to Stacie. "Stacie. He's okay. Melissa's helping Macey stitch him up right now."

"Okay, I wanna see him," Stacie told him.

"Yeah, I asked if we could see him before I woke you," Stiles told her. "They said that the anesthesia needs to wear off. It's gonna be at least two hours."

"Okay," Stacie told him. "Yeah, but everything's gonna be okay, though? I mean, he's okay?"

Stiles nodded. "They told me he's gonna be fine."

Stacie felt like she was going to cry, sitting back, putting a hand to her head. "Oh, thank God." She accidentally let a few tears fall, wiping them away. "Oh, my God."

"It's okay to be sad, Stacie," Stiles told her. "After everything that you've been going through... alone..."

Stacie shook her head. "No. No, no, no. I don't wanna think about that."

Stiles took a moment to respond, nodding. "Yeah. Okay, Stacie."

Stacie looked at him in confusion. "I--I don't get it. How are you not an emotional mess like me right now?"

"Because I'm mad," Stiles answered. "Stacie, I'm mad at Theo for trying to kill our dad, mad at him and the Dread Doctors for what they did to Natalie, and to Ari, and to Adriana. I'm mad at Scott for walking out on us... out on you, when you needed him the most."

Stacie shook her head, looking down. "Stiles..."

"He should've been there with us, Stacie," Stiles told her. He gazed off into nothing. "He should've been there."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Adriana and Ari were still in the school library.

Ari was looking at her torn clothing from the fight. She was devastated, hating herself, because she had actually killed Scott. She couldn't even bring herself to think about what would have happened if they hadn't been able to bring Scott back from the dead. She still couldn't believe that she had killed him, remembering the fight, remembering the animal instinct that had her wanting to tear him apart when under the influence of the super moon, trying not to cry.

Adriana walked closer, putting a hand on Ari's arm, but didn't say anything, because she knew that no words would be able to help her right then. Ari turned to face her, trying not to cry. Adriana pulled Ari into her arms.

Angel walked in. "Ari? Adriana?" Ari and Adriana pulled away, looking at Angel. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah," Ari told her, wiping the tears away. "Angel, we're fine."

Angel looked at Ari's wounds. "You're bleeding. Theo told us about the fight, and..."

Ari pulled her jacket closed to hide them. "It's not that bad, Angel."

"Angel, what are you doing here?" Adriana asked.

"I need your help," Angel answered.

"With what, Angel?" Adriana asked.

Angel stepped aside to reveal Lydia behind her. "With her."

Lydia was completely catatonic.

Adriana and Ari were in shock, worriedly walking closer.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flashback - Earlier That Night

Beacon Hills Preserve - Nemeton

Angel had eventually found the Nemeton, after Theo had used her blood to resurrect Chayton, Hayden, Cory, Tracy and Josh. She didn't see their bodies, but she saw Lydia in a catatonic state on the ground, running closer to check on her worriedly.

Angel: (voice over) "I found her out in the woods. Her body was freezing. But that wasn't even the worst part."

Angel saw that Lydia's nail was bleeding, and a badge was scratched into the rock next to Lydia.

Angel: (voice over) "It's a badge."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Now

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Library

Angel, Ari and Adriana were still talking nearby the catatonic Lydia.

"A Sheriff's badge," Angel told them.

Ari shook her head. "No, Angel. It's a warning."

They looked at Lydia worriedly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Sheriff's Room

Sheriff was laying in his bed after surgery, but he seemed to be getting worse instead of better.

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Waiting Room

Ari, Adriana and Angel took Lydia to the hospital.

Angel opened the doors, running inside. "Help!" Adriana and Ari followed, carrying Lydia's catatonic body. "We need help."

Paramedics rolled over a stretcher.

Ari and Adriana put Lydia down on the stretcher.

"We got an 18-year-old female, potential hypothermic," Ari told them.

Angel looked at Ari and Adriana.

Ari and Adriana both nodded thankfully for Angel bringing Lydia to them so they could get her help. "Thanks, Angel."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Upstairs Hallway

Scott, Tara, Natalie and Liam stepped off an elevator.

They saw Stiles and Stacie talking to a group of doctors and nurses, including Macey and Melissa.

"What do you mean, you don't know?" Stacie asked. "Two hours ago, he was fine. Now it looks like somebody took a baseball bat to his neck."

"There could've been some minor internal bleeding," a doctor told them.

"Did you say, 'minor internal'?" Stiles asked. "Since when is anything internal minor?"

Tara stopped at the doorway to Sheriff's hospital room, looking inside. Sheriff laid unconscious in his bed, bruised, beaten, with what seemed to be dark patterns in his skin over his neck.

"Macey, somebody needs to tell me what's happening," Stacie told her. "Somebody needs to tell me what's happening to him!"

"We don't know, Stacie," Macey told her sadly.

Stiles saw Scott, Tara, Natalie and Liam, walking through the double doors toward us, grabbing Scott, slamming him against the wall, pushing him to the floor. "Where were you? You trusted him. You believed him. Right, huh? So, where were you?"

Natalie pulled Stiles off of Scott, pulling him away. "Hey, hey, hey."

Tara and Liam kept Stiles and Scott separated, though Scott obviously wasn't trying to fight.

"Where the hell were you?" Stiles asked incredulously.

"Stop it," Tara told him, turning around, pushing Stiles against the wall, keeping him there with a hand to his chest. "Stiles!"

Stiles held up his hands in defeat. "Okay, Tara, all right. Tara, all right."

Stacie, Melissa and Macey walked closer worriedly.

Liam looked at Stacie and Stiles. "Your dad's not the only one who got hurt."

Stiles saw that Scott and Natalie were bleeding under their shirts. "Oh, you and Natalie will heal."

Scott and Natalie used their jackets to cover their bleeding wounds.

"We're not talking about us," Natalie told them.

Stacie and Stiles looked at them in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Lydia's Hospital Room

Nicole Martin was in the hospital room with Lydia.

Adriana and Ari walked toward her.

Nicole was stroking her hair. "Everything's gonna be all right, Lydia. We're going to get you the best medical care. The best doctors. The best everything." Lydia slowly turned her head toward Adriana and Ari, who both walked closer. Nicole stood. "Ari, Adriana, what the hell happened to her?"

"Just wait," Adriana told her. "I think I know who did this. I just need to check the back of her neck. All right?"

"Aunt Nicole, you know we would never do anything to hurt her," Ari told her.

Nicole turned away, tears in her eyes.

Adriana slowly walked toward Lydia, barely moving her head to the side to check the back of her neck.

There were bleeding claw marks there.

Adriana put a hand over her mouth, trying not to cry, doing everything she could not to trace the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist, which she did to calm herself down from pretty much everything, or when she made a promise, or when she was punishing herself.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Waiting Room

Natalie, Liam and Angel were talking.

"I'm telling you, I was at the Nemeton," Angel told them. "It was after Uncle Jordan left, and I don't know how I got there, but I did. That's where I found Lydia. And Chayton and Hayden's bodies were not there."

"Angel, are you sure?" Natalie asked.

"Yes, Natalie," Angel answered.

"Angel, we saw Chayton die in front of us," Liam told her. "And Hayden. And you, you watched Parrish carry them out of the hospital. They're... they're gone."

Angel shook her head.

"Look, Angel, we get it," Natalie told her. "You lost a friend and a boyfriend in the same night. We can't blame you if..."

"If what?" Angel asked. "If I'm in denial? I'm not in denial, Natalie. I know what I didn't see, and I didn't see their bodies at the Nemeton."

Liam looked around to make sure that no one was listening. "All right, shh, shh."

Natalie put a hand on Angel's shoulder to calm her down. "Angel, come on. Let's go. Let's go."

"No, Natalie," Angel told her. "Look, let's just ask around the hospital to see if anyone brought anymore bodies in, okay? To prove that Chayton and Hayden are not dead. Listen, Theo stole my blood and left me unconscious in a parking lot, and there's gotta be a reason why. And we have to figure it out. Please."

Natalie and Liam exchanged a look, reluctantly nodding in agreement.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Morgue

Macey, Adriana and Ari were talking around a table in the morgue.

"It could be a side-effect of shock," Macey told them.

"She's catatonic," Adriana told them. "Theo was digging his way through her mind. It could be because of the Dread Doctors, or something else."

"Adri, why would he do that?" Macey asked. "What is he looking for?"

"The same thing he's always looking for," Ari answered. "An advantage."

"Adri, what did they gain by trying to kill Stilinski?" Macey asked. "Or making Natalie and Chayton lose control and try to kill each other?"

"It left only me to go try to save Ari and Scott," Adriana answered. "Theo and the Dread Doctors wanted to make sure that I would be too late to stop what happened. So, they attacked Sheriff, made Natalie and Chayton lose control, leaving Tara and Liam to stop them from killing each other, and left Hayden to die to distract all of us."

"We need to find Theo," Ari told them. "To see if this is because of him or the Dread Doctors."

"Isn't that a little dangerous?" Macey asked. "Especially since he and the ones he's working for got you to kill one of your best friends and nearly got you killed in the process?"

"Yeah, but he said he didn't want Sheriff to die," Adriana told them.

"Adri, you believe him?" Ari asked.

"He told Stiles and Stacie where to find him," Adriana told them. She looked at Ari. "He told me where to find you and Scott. So, maybe he also knows how to save Sheriff."

"What do you want to do, Adri?" Ari asked. "Talk to him?"

"If it saves Lydia and Sheriff, then yeah," Adriana answered.

"Adri, I'll come with you," Ari told her.

"I just need to talk to him," Adriana told her, walking toward the door. "Not fight him. And he's not gonna talk to me if you're there."

"He's gonna need proof that Scott's dead," Ari told her. Adriana turned to face her. Ari let her eyes glow red. "I have that proof."

Macey knew about this, but she didn't really let the news set in until she saw Ari eyes.

Ari looked at Macey sadly, letting the glow fade.

"Do you even know how to find him, Adri?" Macey asked.

"We don't have to find him," Adriana told them. "He'll come to me."

Day Two

Morning - Beacon Hills Preserve

Adriana and Ari were out in the Preserve, by their tree with the carving, looking at the carving. They looked at each other. They heard a rustling in the woods behind them, turning to look behind them.

Theo walked toward the twins, smirking.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Nicole was talking to the doctor from Eichen House, Dr. Fenris.

"She'll be well taken care of, Mrs. Martin," Fenris told her. "It's a very different place now. She'll be safe there."

"She'll be safe?" Nicole asked softly.

Fenris nodded.

Macey walked out of the hospital elevator, seeing Nicole talking to Fenris, confused.

Fenris knew who Macey was, the mother of Ari and Adriana, knowing that she would try to stop this, trying to hurry this along, looking at Nicole. "Just two signatures, Mrs. Martin."

Nicole started to sign.

Macey walked closer. "Nicole?"

"Promise I'll look after her personal," Fenris told her.

Macey reached them. "Nicole?"

"She'll be safe there," Fenris told her, taking the form, walking away, leaving.

Macey turned to her former sister-in-law. "Nicole? Nicole, who was that? What were you signing?"

Nicole nodded to herself as if trying to convince herself. "She'll be safe there."

"What do you mean?" Macey asked. "What did you do?"

Nicole looked at Macey coldly. "I did what I had to."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Preserve - Ari and Adriana's Tree

Ari, Adriana and Theo were still in the woods by the tree.

Theo smirked. "Guess we're all telling the truth now."

"I killed Scott," Ari told him. "Because of you. You and the Dread Doctors."

Ari let her eyes glow red, letting them fade.

Theo seemed indifferent. "It's a different color. It looks good on you, though."

Adriana was trying to control her anger, obviously hurt and betrayed. "Are you going to let the Sheriff die?"

"If I wanted him to die, I wouldn't have told Stiles and Stacie where they could find him," Theo told them.

"Then why are they saying his body is shutting down?" Adriana asked. "That some toxin's poisoning him, and they don't know how to stop it?"

Theo tried to keep his expression clear. "I'm not the bad guy here. I'm just a realist. I'm a survivor." He looked at Adriana. "Just like you, Adri."

"I'm not like that anymore," Adriana told him.

"You always will be, Adri," Theo told her. "The two of you know a lot of things about a lot of stuff, but you don't know what's coming. I know what the Dread Doctors created. And I know what Parrish and Angel are."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Angel, Natalie and Liam were talking to Dr. Geyer.

"No, there have not been any other bodies brought in tonight, thank God," Dr. Geyer told them.

"No one named Hayden, or Chayton, or Cory?" Natalie asked.

Dr. Geyer shook his head. "Liam, take Natalie and Angel home. It's 6:00 in the morning."

"Dad, you're sure there have been no other dead bodies?" Liam asked.

"All of you," Dr. Geyer told them. "Home. Now."

Dr. Geyer walked away.

Angel sighed, thinking.

"We're not going home, are we, Angel?" Natalie asked.

"No, Natalie," Angel answered.

"Well, we all know where the bodies are," Liam told them. "And if we want to find out what's going on with the Dread Doctors and the Chimeras, we're going to have to find the Nemeton."

"Okay," Angel told them. "Let's find the Nemeton."

Angel turned around, walking away.

Liam sighed, looking at Natalie. "I need to learn to shut up."

Natalie managed a small chuckle.

Liam and Natalie followed Angel.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Preserve - Ari and Adriana's Tree

Ari, Adriana and Theo were still talking at the tree.

"Angel figured out what she and Parrish are last night, but the Dread Doctors knew from the beginning," Theo told them. "And you might not know what I'm talking about now, but you will eventually. Angel was essentially to a plan to form a new pack."

"So you're giving up on trying to jack ours?" Adriana asked bitterly. "Good. Because no one would follow you after what you did to Natalie, Chayton, Scott and Ari. And Lydia, since you drove her out of her mind."

"After you made Adriana choose between saving Lydia from you and saving me and Scott," Ari told him. "Adriana trusted you. Because you were the only one there for Adriana for years while in captivity, and you betrayed her."

"You won't believe me when I say this, but I'm actually protecting Adriana," Theo told her. Adriana and Ari frowned in confusion. "If Angel and Parrish are gonna have to fight what's coming, then things around here are gonna get a lot worse."

"I don't care," Adriana told him.

"You should," Theo told them. "Because if Stilinski does survive, he's not gonna be Sheriff of anything much longer."

Theo turned around, walking away, leaving Adriana and Ari alone.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Outside

Adriana and Ari walked up to the hospital, talking to Macey.

"Did you get anything from him?" Macey asked.

"No," Ari answered. "I mean, from what I could tell, he was calm the entire time."

"What about his heart?" Macey asked.

"I heard it jump, but only once, and only for a second," Adriana answered. "But that doesn't mean he was lying. Not really. The rest of the time, it was steady."

"When did it jump?" Macey asked. "What were you talking about?"

"It was when I said that Sheriff was poisoned," Adriana answered.

"And you think that could be something?" Ari asked.

Adriana nodded. "A jump could mean surprise."

"So why would he be surprised that Sheriff's still dying?" Ari asked.

Macey looked at Adriana. "Oh, wait. Theo never said that he was the one who attacked Stilinski, did he?"

"No," Adriana answered.

"Then this means it was probably something else," Macey told them.

Ari exhaled shakily. "Another Chimera."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Inside - Sheriff's Hospital Room

Sheriff was still dying, getting weaker as the veins on his neck continued to spread. He could barely whisper the word. "Chimera."

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hospital Parking Lot

Stiles and Stacie were getting into the Jeep to look for the Chimera that had attacked their dad so they could figure out the way to save them. Stiles was in the driver's seat. Stacie was in the passenger seat.

Scott and Tara were outside, trying to get into the backseat.

Stiles locked the doors.

"Stiles," Scott told him. "Stacie."

Stiles ignored him, looking at Tara. "Tara, we can do the rest ourselves."

"You don't even know where to start," Scott told them. "All that we know is that it's another Chimera. Do you even know where you're headed?"

"Come on, guys," Tara told them. "Let our help. We can find the clues that you can't."

Stiles didn't listen, putting the car into drive, about to leave.

Tara stepped in front of the car, to stop him.

Stiles stopped the car, sighing.

"You can't do this alone," Scott told them. "Okay? You need me and Tara. You need all of us. I can get more help. I can text Natalie and Liam and Angel."

"They're looking for Chimera bodies," Stacie told them.

"Then we can text Ari and Adriana," Tara told them.

"Who are dealing with their cousin going catatonic because the only friend that Adriana had while in captivity betrayed her, and tried to have both Ari and Scott killed, and had Ari lose control enough to kill your boyfriend and become an Alpha, Tara," Stiles told her. "Even if it was because of brainwashing."

"Okay, then at least let us help," Tara told them.

Stacie looked at Scott, hurt. "You believed him."

Scott looked ashamed. "You trusted him, too, Stacie. Theo got to all of us."

Stacie looked down, shaking her head. "You don't even know the real story."

"I don't need to, Stace," Scott told her. "All that matters right now is your dad."

"Come on, guys," Tara told them. "We survived an Alpha Pack, a Dark Druid, Nogitsune, Oni, professional assassins. We can survive Dread Doctors and Chimeras, too."

Stacie realized something. "We're not looking for a missing Chimera. We're looking for a missing teenager."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Angel, Natalie and Liam walked up to the police tape covering the doorway to the school, ducking under it to get inside.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Library

Angel, Natalie and Liam walked through the still-trashed library.

Natalie held up a book, showing them. "You see these? This is the one. These are ley lines. They're mapped according to telluric currents."

"Stiles said that he and Lydia were looking at the intersections," Liam told them. Liam and Natalie both traced their fingers along the ley lines toward the intersection of all the ley lines, right over the Beacon Hills Preserve. "Probably this one."

"But they never found it," Natalie told them. "They kept going out there to look, but they said the Nemeton has to want to be found. It's a supernatural tree that has to want to be found in order for you to see it, right?"

"Yeah," Angel answered. "I found it before, so I just need help finding it again."

Natalie gestured to the map. "We should just make a copy..."

Angel tore the map out of the book, walking away. Natalie and Liam were stunned by the way that she had done it, exchanging a look, closing the map book, following Angel.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Outside

Lydia was being wheeled into the back of an ambulance truck.

Adriana and Ari walked toward Macey and Nicole in confusion.

"Mom, what's going on?" Ari asked.

"Your Aunt Nicole is placing Lydia in Eichen House," Macey answered.

Adriana and Ari looked at Nicole in shock.

"What?" Ari asked. "No."

"I have to," Nicole told them, climbing into the back of the ambulance truck, sitting next to Lydia.

Fenris was setting up to leave.

"We're gonna get her out of there," Adriana told her. "Even if we have to break through the walls."

Fenris closed the back of the ambulance, looking at Adriana and Ari knowingly. "Good luck with that, girls."

Ari and Adriana glared at him.

Fenris walked toward the front of the ambulance, getting inside.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Ambulance

Valack and Schrader were sitting inside the ambulance.

Valack was looking through the rear view mirror to see Ari and Adriana's reflections, obviously knowing exactly who they were.

Schrader looked from Lydia in the back to Valack. "She's a pretty little thing, isn't she?"

"That pretty little thing could shatter your skull with her voice if someone decided to teach her how," Valack told him.

Schrader started to drive them away.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Adriana, Ari and Macey watched the ambulance with Lydia and Nicole drive away and leave.

"Mom, where's Tara, Stacie, Scott and Stiles?" Adriana asked.

"They left to find the Chimera that attacked Sheriff," Macey answered.

Adriana turned to Ari. "We need to help them. So that Sheriff doesn't die."

Ari nodded barely in agreement.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Station

Stiles, Scott, Stacie and Tara went to the sheriff's station to see who was a missing teenager to find the missing chimera, looking at a board with pictures, papers and yarn to connect the dots.

"There was a call a few hours ago about a sophomore from Beacon High who never came home last night," Stiles told them.

"What's his name?" Scott asked.

Stacie put the kid's picture on the board. "Noah Patrick."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Scott, Tara, Stiles and Stacie were standing at Noah's locker.

Scott broke the locker combination off of Noah's locker, opening it. "Now we can catch his scent."

Tara pulled out two shirts from inside, closing the locker, hearing someone approach behind them, tossing the second shirt toward them.

Malia caught the shirt.

Stiles looked at Tara. "You called her?"

"We need all the help that we can get, and she's my cousin, so of course I called her," Tara told them. "We should be calling everyone."

Stacie looked at Stiles, nodding.

Stiles looked away, sighing.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Noah was running as fast as he could, terrified. He took hiding behind a wall, breathing heavily, looking around as he heard the electronic cackling that signaled that the Dread Doctors were after him. He saw their shadows on the wall behind him, breathing heavily in terror.

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Preserve

Angel, Natalie and Liam were walking along, looking for the Nemeton.

Liam looked at Angel. "What the hell is a Valkyrie?"

"According to my mother, they are women of war and death, but also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals," Angel answered. "Daughters of royalty with eyes that glow a fiery gold. That's where I get my elemental immunity and the sense of feeling."

Liam nodded. "That is awesome. Must feel good to finally know what you are, Angel."

Angel sighed. "Yeah. I guess."

Natalie looked around. "This is it. There should be a clearing here."

"Maybe the clearing doesn't want to be found, either," Liam told them.

They all sighed.

Natalie was still thinking about last night, gazing off. "I almost killed Chayton. I couldn't stop."

"No one would have been able to stop, after what Theo did to you," Angel told her. "You can't take the blame. I mean, there was, like 800 extenuating circumstances. Natalie, you're a Werewolf with claustrophobia that was locked in a closet on a supermoon. You lose control when you're locked up even if it's not a full moon. You can't be blamed for losing control when it's a supermoon. And you can't let yourself..."

Natalie was starting to get an idea.

"What?" Liam asked. "Natalie, what?"

"The Nemeton's a beacon for supernatural creatures, right?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah," Liam answered.

"So, what if it takes a supernatural creature to find it?" Natalie asked.

"We are supernatural creatures, and we can't find anything," Liam told her.

"But we've been looking with our human eyes," Natalie told them, letting her eyes glow gold to prove her point. Liam and Angel nodded in agreement. Liam let his eyes glow gold. Angel let her eyes glow a deep, fiery gold. They continued to walk until they found the Nemeton behind a bunch of trees up ahead. They stopped walking in surprise. "Oh, my God."

Liam smiled. "Wow."

Natalie and Liam looked at each other, letting the gold fade from their eyes, both managing small smiles.

Angel let the glow fade from her eyes, running up to the Nemeton.

Natalie and Liam followed.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Warehouse

Scott, Tara and Malia followed Noah's scent to a warehouse, walking down the way toward the tunnels. Stiles and Stacie were following them.

Tara and Malia were talking.

Tara looked from Stiles to Malia.

"He didn't want you to call me, did he, Tara?" Malia asked.

"No," Tara answered. "Is it that bad?"

"We kind of broke up, I guess," Malia told her.

"Yeah, Ari, Stacie, Scott and Stiles kind of broke up, too," Tara told her. She looked at Malia. "Hey, you can tell me what's going on with you. I mean, besides Stiles. You can talk to me."

"Tara, I said I'd help find this kind, and I'm doing it to save Stiles and Stacie's dad," Malia told her. "Don't ask me to talk."

"Well, I'm not asking," Tara told her. "I'm offering. Malia, I used to be a lot like you. And in a lot of ways, I still am. And I didn't have anyone that would be there for me like that. That's why I got so bad. I'm just saying, it's okay if you want to. So that you don't get so bad."

Malia looked at Tara, nodding. "I know. Thank you, Tara."

Tara stopped walking when she smelled the scent change direction, looking toward an open grate in the wall, walking toward it, crawling through it to get to a tunnel on the other side.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Malia, Scott, Stacie and Stiles followed Tara into the tunnels.

"I got it," Tara told them. "I got his scent."

They walked down the tunnel.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Melissa and Macey were in the hallway with Dr. Geyer.

"Macey, Melissa, that man in there is dying, and I don't know how to save him," Dr. Geyer told them. "I went to Harvard Med. I have degrees lining the wall of my office. And I don't have the slightest clue what's going on here. If you know something about this that I don't..."

"Us?" Melissa asked.

"Yes, you," Dr. Geyer answered. "Nothing seems to faze you. And not to sound accusatory, but it's like you know something."

"Knowing something is different from understanding it," Melissa told him. "Yeah, we could tell you things, really bizarre things. But right now, we can't tell you anything that is gonna save his life."

"Then what are we supposed to do?" Dr. Geyer asked.

"Keep him alive," Macey answered. "For as long as we can."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Night - Beacon Hills Preserve - Nemeton

Natalie, Liam and Angel were looking around at the Nemeton, at the bodies.

"There's only four here," Natalie told them.

"That means five Chimeras are missing," Liam told them.

"I only care about two," Angel told them. "My friend Hayden and the guy that I like Chayton. They're alive. They have to be."

"So are Cory and Josh and Tracy," Natalie told them.

"Okay," Liam told them. "Angel, you were right."

"Either way, Angel, we got to tell someone about this," Natalie told her. "We get the cops down here and figure out who's dead and who's alive, and who's... whatever."

"Sounds good, Natalie," Liam told them.

A very bright light turned on behind them.

Natalie, Liam and Angel turned around to see two cop cars with their brights on.

Two cops walked toward them.

"You three, stay right where you are," Cop 1 told them.

Chayton was standing in front of the cars. "That's it. That's where we found the bodies. Four of them."

Natalie, Liam and Angel looked at Chayton in shock.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Ari and Adriana were looking through the tunnels.

"How did you know to come here?" Ari asked.

"Stacie shot me a text," Adriana answered. Ari slowly stopped walking, the full realization of the situation that they were in setting in. Ari started to breathe heavily. Adriana stopped, turning to face her in confusion. "Ari?"

Ari tried to stop from becoming emotional, but after everything that was going on in that moment, she felt like she was going to break. "I killed him, Adriana." Adriana looked at Ari in concern, shaking her head. "I killed Scott."

"Ari, it's not your fault," Adriana told her.

Ari had tears in her eyes, trying not to cry. "Everything that's happening is my fault. You didn't save Lydia because you chose to save Scott from me, and I still killed him. I--I can feel it, Adriana. I can feel it changing inside of me. I'm changing."

"I know," Adriana told her, holding Ari's arms in her hands. "What you're feeling, it's because the balance is shifting again. Which means one of is going to be really good, or one of is going to be really bad. But only if we let that happen. It doesn't have to be like that, Ari. We can stop it from being like that."

"How?" Ari asked.

"By doing what we do best," Adriana answered. "By fighting it."

Ari turned away from Adriana, crying emotionally. "I'm a killer. I--I killed him. I'm the one who's going to be really bad. This is who I am now."

Adriana had tears in her eyes, shaking her head. "It doesn't work like that. You know the saying. One good twin. One evil twin. You've always been the better one out of the two of us. And you're more pure than I have ever been, or ever will be. Besides, you just spent the last few months being the darker one out of the two of us because of the Dread Doctors giving you hecatolite so you couldn't feel the full moon for months. You've been so dark lately, but that's not you. That's only you if someone messes with your life. I was like that... because of so many other reasons. I think we both know that now the hecatolite is out of your system, that you'll go back to being the pure, lightheaded twin, I'm the one that's going to be the one going dark again."

Ari shook her head. "No. You hated that life, and you said that you would rather die than go back to that. I can't let you go through that, but I can't go through that, either. You should've just let me die, Adriana."

"No, hey, don't talk like that," Adriana told her. She turned Ari to face her, holding her shoulders sympathetically, looking at her in regret, pained by her pain. "Okay, you had hecatolite in your system, and you know what that means. It made you immune to the full moon for months, diminishing your tolerance to it. And then Theo gave you the cure for it on the supermoon, and that's what made it all the more worse." Adriana let her eyes glow completely purple. "Show me your eyes. Ari, show me your eyes." Ari let her eyes glow red. "Just because you have these now does not mean that you're a killer. It means you're a leader. And you've always been a leader. You just didn't know it." Adriana used Ari's words to her from when we had been in the woods after Theo came back and they had been crying together after the argument about her past and her future. (5.02 Parasomnia) "What you were, what you did, what they made you do... that's not who you are. This? This is who you are."

They let the glow fade from their eyes, both of them crying silently. Adriana pulled Ari into her arms, holding her twin sister sympathetically, comfortingly, protectively. Ari continued to cry in horrified guilt, loathing herself.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Other Tunnel

Scott, Tara, Stiles, Stacie and Malia were still looking.

Malia found blood on a nearby pipe. "This is Noah's. He was here."

"I think he's close," Tara told them.

Scott looked around the tunnels. "Guys? We've been down tunnels like this before." He looked at Malia and Tara. "When we were looking for Chayton and Hayden."

"Okay, so what?" Stiles asked.

"Maybe, it means we're closer than we think," Scott answered. "But there's something else down here. Something that we haven't found yet."

"Yeah, nothing that helps our dad," Stacie told them. "Look, we can't just be standing around here waiting for something to--"

Noah appeared, lunging toward Stiles, picking him up, throwing him into the wall, making him fall. He lunged toward Malia. Malia grabbed him, turning around, throwing him into the wall, making him fall to the ground.

Noah flipped up into a standing position. Tara caught his wrist, using it to flip him to the ground, face first, twisting his arm behind his back, kneeling to put a knee to his back to keep him pinned down. Noah struggled immensely. Scott helped Tara hold him down.

Stacie ran to Stiles. "Stiles. Stiles." She took his hand, helping him stand. "You okay?"

Stiles nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Let me go, please," Noah told them. "Please. They're coming."

They heard the cackling and buzzing that came when the Dread Doctors were nearby.

Stacie and Stiles turned to look behind them toward Scott, Malia and Tara worriedly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Scott and Tara let Noah go. Noah started to run away.

Stacie stopped Noah before he was about to flee, pushing him against the wall, with her arm across his throat to keep him there. "You're not going anywhere."

"I don't remember," Noah told them.

"You don't remember anything?" Stiles asked skeptically.

"No," Noah answered. "Not when it happens. Not when I change."

"You clawed our dad half to death, okay?" Stiles asked. "And now it's poisoning him. You're gonna start remembering every detail right now."

"Tara, I hear them," Malia told her.

"Tara, I do, too," Scott told her.

"We gotta get him out of here," Tara told them. "We gotta get to the hospital and figure out a way to save Stilinski. Let's go."

They started to run.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Other Tunnel

Ari and Adriana heard the Dread Doctors getting closer. They were getting ready to run, when the electrical gate next to them slammed shut in front of them, making them back away.

"Adriana, we're not gonna be able to stop them," Ari told her.

"But we can slow them down long enough for them to get that kid out of here and save Sheriff's life," Adriana told her. The Dread Doctors walked around the corner of the tunnel down the corridor, walking toward them. Adriana looked at Ari, taking her hand. "We're gonna be okay."

"Adri, we're gonna die down here," Ari told her.

"Okay, I am really starting to miss positive Ari already," Adriana told her.

Chris Argent arrived behind Ari and Adriana. "Get down!" He raised an automatic gun toward the Dread Doctors. Adriana and Ari ducked out of the way. Chris fired toward the Dread Doctors. Doctor 2 raised a hand, using a magnetic force field to render the bullet slow, letting it drop to the floor before it could hit them. The more Chris fired, the less fast that they could use the forcefield, slowing them down. "Run!"

Adriana and Ari stood, running for the tunnel leading to the exit, but wouldn't leave without Chris. Chris was still firing at the Doctors, backing away toward the twins. All of them ran out of the tunnels, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Other Tunnel

Scott, Tara, Malia, Stiles, Stacie and Noah were running down the tunnel toward a gate.

Noah's arms were starting to grow bones from beneath his skin like a Berserker. His eyes were glowing gold.

Tara pushed Noah against the wall. "No, you are not losing control right now."

Stiles and Stacie were looking at the bones from Noah's arms in realization.

Scott broke down the gate in front of them so they could leave. "Come on. Let's go."

They all ran out of the tunnel.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Macey was on the phone with Stacie.

"Listen, Macey, the Chimera, Noah, he's part Berserker, with bones that jut out of his arms," Stacie told her. "Part of the bones have been broken off of his arms. You have to open my dad up."

Macey realized. "He's being poisoned by bone marrow. Don't worry, Stacie. Stacie, I'll get it done."

Macey hung up, walking off quickly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Theo and Hayden were walking along the tunnels, looking for Noah.

"He was here," Hayden told him.

"What else can you tell me?" Theo asked.

"Why don't you tell me how I know that?" Hayden replied.

"Noah's part Berserker," Theo told her. "You're part jaguar. You'll be drawn to each other."

They stopped walking.

"Is that why I'm here with you?" Hayden asked.

"I saved your life," Theo told her. Hayden sensed something, looking away. "What?"

"I think he's dying," Hayden answered. "That means they're going to find him."

Theo sighed in annoyance. "They probably already have."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Noah was hiding in the tunnels, bleeding mercury from his mouth. He heard the electronic clicking that signaled the Doctors coming, gasping slightly, turning to look behind him.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Operating Room

Macey was conducting the surgery for the Sheriff, pulling out the tiny piece of bone that had been broken off inside of him.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Waiting Room

(Song:) The Wreck - Delta Spirit

Adriana, Ari and Chris walked into the hospital.

Ari looked at Chris in confusion. "How did you know?"

Macey walked toward them.

Chris looked at Macey. "Your mother called."

They looked at Macey hopefully.

Macey smiled a small smile, nodding.

They knew that meant that Sheriff was alive and healing, sighing, smiling in relief.

Macey and Chris looked at each other, smiling small smiles. Macey walked closer to embrace him. She pulled away, pulling Adriana and Ari into her arms.

Ari was still completely overwhelmed by everything that had been going on.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Hospital Room

Stiles and Stacie had come to wait for Sheriff to wake up at his bedside. Stacie had fallen asleep by the time that Sheriff woke up.

Stiles gently rubbed Stacie's arm to wake her up to let her know that their father was okay. "Stacie... Stacie, wake up."

Stacie looked at Sheriff, seeing that he looked better but still exhausted and recovering, relieved beyond words.

"It's okay," Sheriff told them. "You still got me."

Stiles stood behind Stacie, putting his hand on her shoulder, and his other on Sheriff's.

Stacie held their hands, sighing, managing a small smile in relief.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Warehouse

Tara found Scott in the warehouse. Scott seemed thoughtful and distant.

"What are you doing here?" Tara asked.

Scott looked toward Tara. "Thinking."

Tara walked closer. "What are you thinking about?"

Scott looked down. "You said that I could fix things between the pack. And that's what I want to do. I can't leave it like this."

Scott absentmindedly rubbed a hand gently over the tattoo on his arm.

Tara stepped closer, putting a hand on his arm. "Then don't. We'll rebuild the pack. Together." She looked at Scott's tattoo of two bands around his arm. "Do you remember the story of Ennis swearing vengeance of the death of his Beta because the Argents killed him?" Scott nodded. "You remember what he did by swearing vengeance?"

"Yeah, he carved a spiral in a metal wall at the distillery," Scott answered.

Tara nodded. "Mm-hmm. Wolves use spirals for vengeance. But they also use their mark as a warning or a promise. Do you promise that we'll get the pack together?"

"Yes," Scott answered. "But the pack doesn't have a symbol."

"A pack's symbol is a mark symbolic to the Alpha," Tara told him. She looked at his tattoo. "I can imagine what it can be." She looked at Scott. "Can you?"

"Tara, I got this tattoo--" Scott started.

"When you still had hope for you and Allison to be together," Tara finished. "And that's why it should be the symbol. Because it also symbolizes Allison. She was part of this pack. A very big part of it. And she still is. Even if she's gone, she's not forgotten. I think that's something we can all agree on."

Tara took Scott's hand with the hand that she had her triskele tattoo, raising them to the metal wall in front of them.

Scott let his claws grow, letting Tara circle his arm so that he could claw two bands into the wall, like his tattoo. He looked at Tara's triskele tattoo on the back of her hand in front of them. "You got that tattoo the same day I got mine."

Tara nodded, letting go, backing away. "Mm-hmm. They were both done by Derek."

Scott nodded. "Derek has a triskele tattoo like that one on his back. It's a symbol of who you and your brother are, and if it wasn't for you and Derek, Ari and I would still be the kid Betas that you took under your wing that didn't know the first thing about any of this. It's because of you and Derek, both big parts of the pack, that we got this far." He looked at Tara, shaking his head. "I can't ignore that, can I, Tara?"

Tara frowned a bit in confusion, tilting her head.

Scott looked at the symbol in front of them. He carved a triskele into the wall, intersecting with the two bands already there perfectly.

Tara had a touched, surprised smirk playing over her lips. Scott back away to stand next to Tara. They both looked at each other, smiling small smiles. They looked at the two bands twined with the triskele.

Tara looked at Scott. "I love you."

Scott smiled. "I love you, too, Tara."

Scott and Tara looked at each other for a long, longing moment, kissing slowly, sweetly at first. Tara wrapped her arms around his neck. Scott wrapped his around her waist. They kissed with less hesitancy, building up passionately. They both pulled away for a moment, leaning their heads close to the other, turning them to look at the symbol on the wall next to them. They smiled small smiles.

Valack: (voice over) "It was more than a symbol."

Flash Forward - 5.15 "Amplification"

Night - Eichen House - Lydia's Cell

Lydia was laying on her bed.

Valack was sitting next to her. "It was a promise to reunite them."

"Yes," Lydia answered.

"But have they done it yet?" Valack asked. "Will they be coming for you?"

They heard a bell buzzing.

"Someone's coming," Lydia told him. "But it's not my pack."

(Song:) Blow Up the Outside World - Alex Clare

Stacie was standing over two unconscious guards.

Josh, Theo and Cory walked down the hallway toward her.

Stacie looked over her shoulder down the hallway. She saw it was the Chimera boys walking closer, turning to face them, sighing in exasperation. "Oh, my God, you've got to be kidding me."

Theo looked at the unconscious guards at Stacie's feet, smirking, walking closer. "Got to say, Stacie, you continue to impress me."

Theo looked up at the ceiling.

Stacie looked up. Tracy was in half-Kanima form, jumping down from the ceiling toward Stacie, tackling her to the floor. Stacie pushed her off of her, standing. Tracy slashed toward Stacie. Stacie ducked. Josh grabbed Stacie from behind. Tracy slashed her claws into Stacie's arms, making her groan in pain. The venom from Tracy's claws started to spread through her system, paralyzing Stacie momentarily.

Stiles ran toward them. "Stacie!"

Tracy grabbed Stiles, pushing him against the wall.

"You don't want to do this, Theo," Stacie told him. "We're not the only ones here."

"But you're the only ones who could get past the Mountain Ash," Theo told them, walking past them toward Lydia's room. "Which means you're on your own."

Theo, Cory and Josh looked into Lydia's cell to see Lydia on the bed.

"She doesn't look good," Josh told them.

"She has a hole in her head," Cory told him. "It's not a good look for anyone."

"I can't believe this is actually a medical establishment," Theo told them. "Pick her up. We're getting her out of here."

"Theo, I swear to God, I will kill you," Stiles told him angrily.

Theo smirked, turning to face them, walking closer. "Oh, come on, Stiles. You know that you can't hurt me."

"What would a pack of Chimeras want with a Banshee?" Stacie asked.

"I don't want a Banshee," Theo told them. "Lydia gets me to Ari and Adriana Martin. Ari and Adriana get me to the Hellhound and the Valkyrie. Jordan Parrish. Angel Fain."

Jordan was transformed, canines grown, his clawed hands gripping the gate separating Angel and Jordan from them, on fire, his eyes glowing, melting the door away, burning through the Mountain Ash, stepping into the hallway toward them. Angel was behind him.

Stacie looked toward them in relief. "Angel."

Angel stepped through the broken doorway, looking at Theo. "You wanted a Hellhound and a Valkyrie? I think you found them."

Angel let her eyes glow a fiery gold, glaring forward.
