chapter 20 - Apotheosis

From 5.14 "The Sword and the Spirit", in the hospital hallway, Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Tara, Natalie, Angel and Liam were talking.

Natalie: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

"It's called the Beast," Natalie told them.

"The Beast of Gevaudan," Tara told them.

From 5.18 "Maid of Gevaudan", in flashback in the bar, Sebastian sat with Marie-Jeanne in the bar, smiling smugly, sadistically.

Adriana: (voice over from 5.13 Codominance) "So the Dread Doctors resurrected a killer who was so bad that he had to literally be erased from history."

From 5.18 "Maid of Gevaudan", in flashback to the cottage, Sebastian let his eyes glow white. The woman screamed.

Ari: (voice over from 5.13 Codominance) "A killer that became a Werewolf."

From 5.18 "Maid of Gevaudan", in flashback, Marie-Jeanne slid along the ground, picking up the spear that was hidden in the snow, quickly turning around to face Sebastian, screaming. Momentum carried the Beast onto the spear, which protruded out of his back.

Gerard: (voice over from 5.18 Maid of Gevaudan) "Marie-Jeanne. Faced the Beast armed with nothing more than a steel-tipped pike."

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the dark laboratory, The Dread Doctors pushed Mason to the floor in their lair. Mason propped himself up next to a bubbling tank of green substance with a body inside.

Cory: (voice over from 5.19 The Beast of Beacon Hills) "They took him, and I couldn't do anything."

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the loft, the pack was meeting.

"We can find him," Tara told them.

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the Chimeras' lair, Theo pushed Josh against the stairs, pinning him there, stabbing him in the stomach with his claws, making electrical power surround him, letting his eyes glow gold as he started to take Josh's pain, life and power.

Deucalion: (voice over from 5.19 The Beast of Beacon Hills) "The only ones you can take power from without killing them due to their unique ability to give supernatural creatures power of their own are Arielle and Adriana Martin. That is how I knew how to take their power."

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the loft, Tara and Corinne were fighting, trapped in the loft with Malia by the Mountain Ash.

Tara: (voice over from 5.19 The Beast of Beacon Hills) "Give me your best shot. Because neither of us are going anywhere."

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the dark laboratory, Scott, Ari, Natalie, Liam, Adriana, Theo and Mason were confronted by the Dread Doctors.

"True evil only comes by corrupting something truly good," the Surgeon told them.

"Not something," Scott told them.

Ari looked at Mason. "Someone."

"Mason!" Liam told him.

Mason breathed heavily, his voice demonic, the smoke completely enveloping him. "That's not... my name."

The smoke swirling around him transformed Mason into the Beast. The Beast growled.

From 5.19 "The Beast of Beacon Hills", in the woods, Jordan, on fire, and Angel, with her wings, were fighting the Beast. Scott, Ari, Natalie, Adriana, Liam, Chris and Gerard were watching.

The Beast transformed into Sebastian instead of transforming back into Mason.

"Who the hell was that?" Natalie asked.

"Sebastian Valet," Angel answered.

Angel took a running start, jumping up to start flying away in the direction that the Beast and Jordan had taken off in.

Same Night - Day One

Night - On the Road

Angel and Jordan were still chasing the Beast, in full Valkyrie and Hellhound mode down the road.

Jordan was on fire.

Angel had her wings and talons grown, eyes glowing dark fiery gold, landing on the concrete of the street. Her landings were only a little bit better. She looked over her shoulder toward where the Argents were driving their car toward us.

Jordan ran down the street.

Angel flew up into the sky a little bit over Jordan's head, chasing the Beast.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Chris' Car

Chris was driving.

Gerard was in the passenger seat, holding the Surgeon's cane.

"You knew, didn't you?" Chris asked.

"I wasn't certain, but I suspected," Gerard answered. "Although, it makes sense that Marie-Jeanne's pike would be reforged into something that could appear as innocuous as a cane."

"But will it kill him?" Chris asked.

Gerard slid the cane into the hammer-like sheath. "You're damn right it will."

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Deaton and Stiles walked into the backroom of the clinic.

Stiles was showing him the file that Macey had shown him, Stacie and Lydia in the previous chapter, about Mason and his twin.

"Vanishing twin syndrome," Deaton told him.

"This is part of your expertise, right?" Stiles asked.

"Not particularly, no," Deaton answered.

Scott, Ari, Natalie, Adriana and Liam dragged the Surgeon into the clinic toward Deaton and Stiles.

"He's still alive," Scott told them

Stiles and Deaton looked at them in shock.

Operating Theater

Theo was badly injured from the run in with the Beast.

Tracy helped Theo back to the operating theater, helping him sit down, looking at his wounds. "This looks bad, Theo."

"I'll be fine," Theo told her.

Tracy laid a hand on his cheek, kissing him slowly and softly, then more deeply than before, turning to straddle his lap, kissing his neck. Theo groaned and grunted in pain.

"Maybe we need to stop," Tracy told him. "Or figure out another plan. Just take a couple more days and think about it."

"Days?" Theo repeated. "You want to wait days?"

"You're hurt," Tracy told him. "You need time to heal. And I'm not like the others. I can't take your pain."

"I know," Theo told her. "And that's okay. Because you can do something else for me. You can give me your power."

Theo stabbed his claws into Tracy's back, making her scream in pain.

Tracy groaned in pain, making her canines grow, struggling, but couldn't get free. "Theo..." She stabbed her claws into Theo's shoulder in an attempt to paralyze him, but while Theo was taking her pain and her power, he was also taking the Kanima venom, meaning it didn't work on him anymore. "Theo, stop."

Tracy slowly leaned back as she finally died, returning to normal. Theo laid her body on the floor.

Deucalion walked closer with his cane, without his glasses. "And then there were none."

¤•¤°¤•¤

There was a black wolf with red eyes.

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke. Tyler Posey.

Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.

Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.

A Dread Doctor's face appeared.

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing red. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was half-breed purple.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.

Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.

Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.

Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.

Natalie and Liam kissed slowly and softly.

Liam looked to the right. He was completely shifted. He returned to normal, looking straight forward, letting his eyes glow gold. Dylan Sprayberry.

On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.

The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.

Ari stared ahead, letting her eyes glow purple. The purple faded from her eyes, turning into red.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

On the Road

A near-naked body with his head bashed in laid in the road.

Sebastian had killed him to get his clothes and his car, sitting in the car. The device was unfamiliar to him. He closed his eyes, managing to access Mason's memories, seeing him through the review mirror, "remembering" how to drive. He put the car into gear, starting to drive away.

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Malia and Tara were still trapped in the loft with Corinne, the Desert Wolf, who wanted to kill both of them.

"You put up a good fight, Tara," Corinne told her.

"I can keep it up all night," Tara told her.

Corinne smirked. "Oh, come on, Tara. You know you can't."

  ¤•¤°¤•¤

Upstairs Hallway

Malia was still upstairs in the hallway because Tara told her to stay upstairs for her protection. She started to dial Stiles' number on her phone.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Living Room

Tara and Corinne could hear Malia tapping keys on her phone from downstairs.

"Who are you calling, Malia?" Corinne asked. "Is it Stiles, your boyfriend? Tell him to come. Bring all your friends, if you want. Go ahead, Malia. You tell me how many people I'm going to have to kill tonight."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Upstairs Hallway

Malia turned off her phone worriedly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Living Room

Corinne walked around the table Tara was taking cover from to try and shoot her. Tara rolled out of the way, standing, rolling over the table closer to Corinne to kick her in the stomach, pushing her against the spiral staircase railing behind her.

"It figures that my uncle Peter would be psychotic enough to sleep with someone as psychotic as you," Tara told her. Corinne smirked in amusement, using the gun to push Tara off of her, walking closer. Tara tried to punch her twice. Corinne caught either of her arms. Tara kneed her in the stomach, punching her in the face. Corinne tried to shoot her. Tara ducked behind the wall behind her to make her miss. "Almost, Corinne. But not quite. You'll get another chance. But you better make sure it's a headshot."

Corinne smirked. "Oh, I'll make sure."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Upstairs Hallway

Malia was getting too worried about Tara, stepping closer to the stairs, making the floorboards creak beneath her. "Tara?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Living Room

Tara and Corinne heard the floorboards upstairs creaking.

"Coming down, Malia?" Corinne asked.

"Malia, don't move," Tara told her. Upstairs, Malia pressed her back against the wall, wanting to listen to Tara but also wanting to help her fight Corinne. "If you come down here, I can't protect you."

"That's right, Tara," Corinne told her, trying to shoot Tara again. Tara ducked out of the way. "But who's going to save you, Tara?"

Corinne walked closer to the wall Tara was behind to try to shoot her again. Tara caught her arm, twisting it behind her back, making her face away from her toward the wall of windows. Corinne headbutted Tara to make her let go, turning to face her, trying to shoot her again. Tara pushed the gun away, making it fire at the ceiling light above them, making the light shatter, and sparks and glass rain down around them. Tara punched Corinne in the face twice, kicking her back onto the table, making her flip over it. Corinne landed on her feet on the other side, instantly turning to face Tara to try to shoot her. Tara ducked to the floor so the shot missed, looking up, letting her eyes glow blue, growling, running closer, stepping over the table to jump at Corinne, tackling her to the floor, making both of them roll over the floor, and making her lose her gun in the process. Tara and Corinne both rolled into crouching positions, facing each other, letting their eyes glow blue. Tara ran toward Corinne to push her back away from the gun.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

The Surgeon was on the exam table. Scott, Stiles, Ari, Natalie, Adriana, Liam and Deaton were standing around him.

Natalie looked at Deaton. "Can you keep him alive?"

"I'm not sure he technically is alive," Deaton told them.

"Screw keeping him alive," Adriana told them. "How do we get him to talk? Personally, I don't think we utilize torture nearly enough." Ari gave Adriana a look. Adriana shrugged. "What? These creeps made me into a torture lab rat. You would think that they're used to torture by now."

"Adriana, remember what we said about fighting the dark side that's trying to take over you now that the balance between us is broken?" Ari asked.

Adriana sighed, nodding, taking a deep breath, exhaling to calm herself down.

Stiles patted Adriana on the shoulder. "Good girl, Adriana."

Adriana gave Stiles a look. "Seriously?"

Natalie chuckled, looking at Stiles. "I wouldn't piss Adriana off right now."

"Natalie, I can defend myself," Adriana told her. "But thank you, Nattie."

Natalie nodded. "You're welcome, Adri."

They heard Sebastian's voice. "Come."

"Did you hear that?" Scott asked.

They heard Sebastian's voice. "Come to me. Come to me."

The Surgeon sat up on the exam table, beginning to emit a loud frequency that shook the building.

Everyone had to cover their ears in pain.

The Surgeon stood, walking toward the door.

Natalie ran closer.

"Natalie, wait!" Liam told her.

The Surgeon repulsed Natalie's attack by an electromagnetic wave from its hand. He walked out, using a similar pulse to close the doors behind him.

It magnetized portions of the building, causing the metal table and other implements to fly toward the exit.

A power cable broke, electrifying the magnetized barricade of metal, blocking them from giving chase.

Adriana, Ari, Scott, Liam and Natalie started to move the barricade to get out.

"Stop," Deaton told them. "It's electrified."

They could hear Sebastian and The Surgeon outside.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

The Surgeon fell to his knees.

Sebastian approached the Surgeon, removing his mask, revealing a mostly unrecognizable skeleton underneath. He looked horrified by the side of him. "Marcel... if this is what immortality looks like, I think you might have been misled."

"For you," Marcel told him. "All for you."

"What did you do with it, Marcel?" Sebastian asked. "Where is the pike?"

"The Argents," Marcel answered. "The Argents."

Marcel collapsed to the ground, dead.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Inside - Backroom

Scott, Ari, Adriana, Natalie and Liam had been listening to Sebastian and Marcel about the pike and the Argents.

Ari realized, looking at the others. "The cane."

"But they took it," Natalie told them. "They took the cane."

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

On the Road

Jordan was kneeling on the ground in the street. Angel stood next to him, drawing her wings back into her back.

Chris and Gerard stopped their car behind them, getting out.

"We lost him," Jordan told them.

"Sebastian's going to know we have the pike," Chris told them. "And if he doesn't, he's going to figure it out soon enough."

Angel looked at them from over her shoulder. "Then what do we do?"

"We stop chasing him," Gerard answered. "And make him come to us."

Gerard looked at the pike/cane in his hands, smirking.

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Tara threw Corinne onto the table, making her roll off to the floor.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Upstairs Hallway

Malia was getting closer to the stairs, trying to help Tara.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Living Room

Tara and Corinne could hear Malia getting closer to the stairs from upstairs.

"Malia, come on down," Corinne told her.

"Don't listen to her!" Tara told her.

"I'm not gonna stop, Tara," Corinne told her. "I'm taking back what Malia stole from me."

"I didn't steal anything," Malia told her.

"But you did," Corinne told her. "And I don't care if you were a willing participant or not." She looked at Tara. "Your mother, Tara, Talia Hale, she spent nine months trying to convince me of the miracle of childbirth. You know what it really felt like? A parasite. Your mother said it was a gift. That the coyote passes down part of her power to her daughter. She called it beautiful. I call it theft."

"Well, my mother was a lot smarter than you are," Tara told her. "And a lot less psychotic."

Corinne became less amused and more angry, trying to shoot Tara. Tara ducked.

They heard the stairs creaking as Malia made a move to come downstairs.

Corinne turned to shoot her gun at the stairs. Tara ran closer to push Corinne away from the stairs so that she didn't shoot Malia, pushing Corinne into the wall, punching her in the face twice, turning around, throwing her over the table to the floor, growling. Corinne groaned in pain, starting to stand. Tara jumped up onto the table, jumping off the table toward Corinne to punch her in the head with extra strength, making her fall to the floor, landing in a crouch next to her. Corinne drew another gun, trying to shoot Tara with both of the guns in both of her hands repeatedly. Tara rolled over the floor away from her to avoid being shot, but got hit with bullets in the side and stomach, groaning in pain, holding her hands over the wounds, seeing that the bullets were laced with wolfsbane, and were smoking from the wounds.

Malia heard Tara groan in pain, worried. "Tara?"

Corinne grabbed Tara by the shoulders, slamming her against the wall. Tara punched Corinne in the face to make her let go, gripping her throat with one hand, walking toward her to push her away, turning to throw her through the loft into a beam, making her fall to the floor nearby the steps to the loft. Corinne tried to shoot Tara again. Tara took cover behind the table, holding her wounds, breathing heavily. Corinne leaped over the table toward Tara. Tara kicked Corinne back over the table, making her roll to the floor.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Scott, Stiles, Ari, Natalie, Adriana, Liam and Deaton were still talking around the table.

Scott was looking through the file that Stiles had gotten from Macey. "Maybe there's something in here. Something about how he was a genetic Chimera."

"Mason had a vanishing twin," Stiles told them.

"Now we've got a vanishing Mason," Natalie told them.

"What does that have to do with him turning into a 250-year-old French guy?" Liam asked. "How does that even happen?"

"Hold on," Deaton told them. "Scott might have something. Mason's twin wasn't entirely gone. That's what made him a genetic Chimera."

Ari realized. "The DNA was still there."

"Metaphorically speaking, the DNA of Mason could still be inside Sebastian as well," Deaton told them.

"How?" Adriana asked.

"Life is energy," Deaton told them. "Energy doesn't just disappear. The Dread Doctors may have found a way to break the rules of the supernatural world, but there are some rules that simply won't break."

"So Mason can't just be gone?" Natalie asked.

"Somewhere in Sebastian, he has to still exist in some form," Deaton told them. "A spark of energy, a flicker of memory."

"Hang on," Stiles told them. "You said Mason said something right before he turned."

"He said, 'That's not my name'," Liam told them.

"He finally remembered his name," Scott told them.

"Damnatio Memoriae," Ari told them. "That's what they wanted. They wanted Sebastian to remember his name."

"Ari, you know the myth of what happens when you call a Werewolf by its given name?" Deaton asked.

Ari nodded. "It turns back to human."

"What does that mean?" Liam asked. "Someone can just walk up to the Beast, yell Mason's name, and turn him back?"

"Not someone," Ari answered. "Lydia."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Station

Stacie was still in the Sheriff's station.

Sebastian was talking to Valerie.

"Who did you say you were looking for?" Valerie asked.

"The man's name is Argent," Sebastian told her.

Stacie walked closer. "Did you say Argent?" Sebastian walked toward Stacie. Stacie's phone was going off. "Sorry. My brother likes to leave incredibly long and incredibly confusing messages. Maybe I should just turn the damn thing..." Stacie looked at her phone, reading messages from Stiles updating her on what was happening, realizing who the man in front of her was. She put her phone down, walking around the desk to stand next to her bag on the other side, reaching inside her bag, looking at Sebastian. "So...  my dad's not here, and he's the Sheriff. He had to go see a nurse about a kid. But he'll be back real soon. You're looking for one of the Argents?"

Sebastian closed his eyes, using Mason's memories to tell him who Stacie was, remembering her name. "Stacie." Stacie looked at him in confusion, guarded. Sebastian opened his eyes. "Your name is Stacie Stilinski."

"You know who I am," Stacie told him.

"Just like you know who am I, Stacie," Sebastian told her. Stacie tilted her head. "That means you know what I'm capable of."

"I've got some experience," Stacie told him.

"Your weapons may be more sophisticated than the arrows and the bullets of my time, but they still won't kill me, Stacie," Sebastian told her.

Stacie took out her gun, cocking it, hiding it behind the table and having it aimed at Sebastian so Valerie wouldn't see. "I'm pretty sure a nine millimeter Beretta will do more damage than an 18th century musket."

Sebastian smirked in amusement. "Are you certain? I can walk out of this place with my hands clean. Or, I can walk out with them drenched in blood. Your choice, Stacie."

Stacie slowly put the gun down.

Valerie saw, standing. "Stacie?"

"Clarke, don't," Stacie told her.

Valerie held her hand ready on her gun, looking at Sebastian. "Stop where you are."

Sebastian's eyes glowed white. His fangs set in.

Valerie was in shock.

Stacie looked at Valerie worriedly. "Let him go." Valerie drew her gun, aiming at Sebastian. Sebastian lunged for Valerie, growling. "No!"

Valerie started firing at Sebastian. Sebastian lunged toward her.

Stacie picked up her gun, firing at Sebastian, spinning to kick him in the head, making him back away from Valerie. Sebastian slashed toward Stacie. Stacie ducked, kicking him in the leg, firing more bullets into him. Sebastian slashed into Stacie's wrist, gripping her throat, picking her up, throwing her into the wall, making her fall.

Hayden and Lydia walked in.

Lydia saw what was happening, worried. "Stacie!"

Sebastian lunged at Lydia, growling, stabbing her in the throat with his claws.

Stacie stood, picking up one of her knives from her bag, stabbing Sebastian in the back, making him let go of Lydia before he could slash her throat completely open.

Sebastian growled in pain, turning to slash into Stacie's arm and side, making her groan in agony.

Lydia screamed in pain and anger, using her voice as a weapon and throwing Sebastian away from Stacie into the wall, making him fall. She fell to her knees, holding her throat as blood spilled from her wound over her hands. (slow motion)

Stacie looked at her worriedly. "Lydia!"

Sebastian stood, lunging at Hayden, raising his arm to slash into her, growling.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Emergency Room

Stacie helped Lydia into the emergency room of the hospital. "Melissa! Macey!"

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Corinne was getting closer to the table while Tara was trying to catch her breath and heal from the wolfsbane-laced wounds.

Malia jumped down the stairs before Corinne could get to Tara, kicking her away from her. She growled, letting her eyes glow blue, trying to slash into Corinne repeatedly. Corinne ducked each time, spinning behind Malia, kicking her in the leg, making her fall to the floor, trying to shoot her. Malia spun out of the way, kicking Corinne in the stomach, making her fall back into the table, standing, growling, running toward Corinne, grabbing her, spinning her around. Corinne grabbed Malia by the arms, throwing her onto the steps of the loft, making her roll off the steps to the floor, trying to shoot her.

Tara stood, grabbing both of Corinne's arms so that she couldn't shoot Malia with either of the guns in her hands, flipping her to the floor, making her drop both guns, kicking both of them away from her. Tara slashed into Corinne, making her turn away. Corinne spun toward Malia, slashing into her side, pushing her away. Malia spun to face Corinne, running closer, slashing into Corinne's leg. Tara spun to kick Corinne in the head, slashing into her chest. Malia slashed and kicked into the back of Corinne's legs, making her fall to her knees. Tara spun around in the opposite direction, kicking Corinne in the face, making her fall to the floor. Corinne stood, slashing toward Tara. Tara ducked, trying to kick her. Corinne caught Tara by the leg, gripping her throat, growling, pushing her against the wall, stabbing her claws into Tara's wolfsbane-laced wound, making her groan in pain, letting her fall to the floor. Malia attacked Corinne from behind, slashing into her back. Corinne slashed toward her. Malia ducked, trying to kick Corinne in the head. Corinne ducked, grabbing Malia, lifting her up, throwing her onto the floor next to Tara.

Tara gave Malia a look. "I told you to stay upstairs."

Malia sighed. "Yeah, well, it sounded like you needed the help."

Tara and Malia exchanged a look, sighing, pushing themselves up from the floor to continue the fight against Corinne together.

Operating Theater

Sebastian forced Hayden to take him to the operating theater.

Hayden was kneeling next to Tracy's body, and, using her hand, closed the dead girl's eyes.

Sebastian was angry because he couldn't find the pike, flipping over a table. "Where is it?"

"I brought you here like you wanted," Hayden told him. "How about letting me go now?"

Sebastian became distracted when he saw the fresco/painting on the wall.

Hayden noticed Tracy's claws, remembering the large syringe of Kanima venom, picking it up from the table, walking toward Sebastian.

Sebastian gestured to the fresco. "These demons, on the left. What are they?"

"They're called the Hellhound and the Valkyrie," Hayden answered.

Sebastian used Mason's memories to remember their names. "Angel Fain. Jordan Parrish. And the Argents will try to put the pike in their hands."

Hayden tried to stab Sebastian with the syringe of Kanima venom. Sebastian was too fast, catching Hayden's wrist, stabbing Hayden brutally in her stomach with his claws, making her scream in pain, throwing her down to the floor. He was about to go in for the kill when he heard one of the Argents' sonic emitters beginning to pulse somewhere in the town. He left Hayden bleeding on the floor to go investigate.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Theo and Deucalion climbed down into the tunnels. They could hear the emitters.

"I know that sound," Deucalion told him.

"It's the Argents, isn't it?" Theo asked.

Deucalion nodded. "Drawing the Beast to them. Corralling it. You'll need to be back at full capacity if you're going to help me obtain Adriana Martin's eyes. I might be stronger than most wolves, but she can certainly take care of herself. Are you at full capacity?"

Theo criticized Deucalion for a moment, finding an electrical breaker box on the wall next to him, smirking. "Let's find out." He opened the box, grabbing the wires, siphoning the electricity into his body with the power he had stolen from Josh, aiming a bolt at Deucalion's cane, making the electricity flicker through the cane and electrocute Deucalion, making him fall to the floor, walking closer, smirking smugly in amusement. "Looks like it worked."

Deucalion groaned in pain, propping himself up against the wall. "You know, Theo, someday, your willingness to stab anyone and everyone in the back might turn out to be your downfall."

Theo chuckled sarcastically, walking away.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Lydia's Hospital Room

Macey had done surgery to close the wound in Lydia's neck, standing in the hospital room with her. She took her hand in her own. "Hey. You all right?"

Lydia could barely speak. "Did... did they find something? A solution?"

"Yeah," Macey answered. "It was you. It was you, Lydia."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Sebastian was walking through the tunnels, finding the sonic emitters on the walls, corralling him toward Angel, Jordan, Chris and Gerard, though he still had quite a ways to go before he got to them.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Elsewhere

Angel was looking at her phone. Jordan was standing with them.

Chris walked toward them with a shotgun.

"Lydia's been hurt," Angel told them. "Badly."

They  heard distant growling.

"It doesn't change anything," Chris told them.

"What if she's dying?" Angel asked.

"Angel, if we don't stop Sebastian, she will die," Chris told her. "He's not just coming for the pike. He's coming for anything that stands in his way. Right now, that's all of us."

They heard growling and pounding in the distance.

Chris put down his shotgun.

"What are you doing?" Jordan asked.

"I'm going to save your lives," Chris told them.

"I'm not sure I'm getting the strategy here," Jordan told him.

"You're the strategy," Chris told them. "You're the ones in the fresco. Put there as a reminder that the Beast isn't unstoppable. Whoever painted it, they didn't see a guy with a gun facing down the Beast. They saw the two of you. They saw a Hellhound and a Valkyrie."

They heard the Beast growling in the distance.

Jordan and Angel turned to face the direction it came from.

Jordan let himself burst into flame, letting his eyes glow the color of the fire that surrounded him.

Angel let her wings and talons grow, letting her eyes glow a deep, dark, fiery gold.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

In slow motion, Ari and Adriana walked down the hallway toward Stiles, Stacie, Scott, Natalie and Liam.

"Is she okay?" Stacie asked.

"She's gonna be fine," Adriana answered. "But she can't really talk."

"It's over, isn't it?" Liam asked. He looked hopeless, giving up. "There's nothing we can do to save him."

They didn't answer, looking at Liam regretfully, sympathetically.

Ari took out her phone. "Scott, I need you to listen to this."

Scott nodded, following Ari down the hallway. Ari played the two voicemails that Kira left for her in the previous chapter.

Kira: (voicemail) "Hey, it's me. Oh, God, I wish you just picked up. I hate leaving messages. I always ramble. I always say stupid things, and when I finally get to the super important thing that I'm supposed to say, the voicemail cuts me off, and--Me again. I have to leave. But I'm coming back to help. I promise. Because you and Scott are right, Ari. If anyone's going to save Mason, it's you. It's us."

Scott and Ari exchanged a look.

Ari walked toward Stiles, Stacie, Adriana, Natalie and Liam. "Let's go."

"Why?" Natalie asked.

"Because I've got an idea," Ari answered.

Scott smiled a small smile. "And because this isn't over."

Lydia's Hospital Room

Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari, Natalie, Adriana, Liam and Macey were all in Lydia's hospital room.

Adriana, Ari and Macey were standing around Lydia's hospital bed. Adriana and Ari helped Lydia sit up. Lydia groaned lightly in pain.

Natalie and Stacie were standing at the foot of the bed.

Scott, Stiles and Liam were standing by the door.

Macey pulled out a syringe. "Lydia, this is gonna have to be just between us, since I could get fired for it."

"It's a cortisone shot," Ari told her. "It's gonna bring the inflammation down."

Lydia nodded. Macey took the cap off of the syringe. Lydia held out her arm.

"Not there," Macey told her, lightly pulling the bandage over her neck back away from her wound.

"Oh, yeah, okay, I'm gonna need to leave," Stiles told them.

"You're not going anywhere," Stacie told him. "Hold her hand."

"Okay, fine, Stacie," Stiles told her, walking closer, taking Lydia's hand in his. "Stacie, I'm not leaving, but I still might faint."

Macey took a deep breath. "Okay. Here we go." She readied the shot. Liam fainted, falling to the floor. Natalie walked over to Liam to help him up. "Okay, Lydia, this is going to hurt like a bitch."

"You know, Macey, I'm just now starting to see where Ari and Adriana get their humor from," Natalie told her.

Adriana and Ari gave Natalie a look. Natalie smiled, obviously trying to make them feel better, which was somewhat working.

Macey put the needle into Lydia's neck. "That was sweet, Natalie. And we all needed a little light around here. So, thank you, Natalie, for the distraction. Natalie, you up for more distractions Because she's gonna need it."

Lydia moaned in pain, holding Stiles' hand tighter.

Macey injected the shot into Lydia's neck.

Lydia gasped in pain.

Hallway

Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Natalie and Liam were leading Ari, Lydia and Adriana toward the door to leave the hospital. Ari and Adriana were helping Lydia walk along, because the amount of painkillers she was on was making her slightly loopy and dizzy.

"Okay, Stacie and I'll get to Tara and Malia," Stiles told them. "Text me when you find Parrish and Angel."

"Hold on," Ari told them, handing Stacie a jar wrapped in brown paper.

"What is this?" Stacie asked.

"Something I've been working on for a while," Ari answered. "Just make sure Tara and Malia get it."

"Is it Plan B?" Stiles asked.

"It was Plan A," Ari told them.

"Plan A never works," Stiles told her. Scott, Stacie and Ari gave him a look. "Unless the Plan A is coming from Ari, which almost always work, which is why Plan A should stand for 'Plan Ari'."

"Just go, Stacie," Natalie told her.

Stacie nodded. "Okay, Natalie. Natalie, you got it."

"Stacie, I'm coming with you," Stiles told her.

Stiles and Stacie turned around, running down the hallway.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Deaton heard a noise from the front of the clinic, walking out to investigate. "Hayden?"

Hayden was standing there, holding her badly delivered wounds from the Beast. "They said that you can help us when we get hurt. Well, I think I'm pretty hurt."

Hayden started to fall. Deaton caught her as she fell to prepare to move her into the backroom so he could help her.

Tunnels

The Beast pushed Jordan against the wall.

Angel flew up to the ceiling to kick the Beast in the back, slashing her talons into his head, making him roar in pain and let go of Jordan.

The Beast turned to face Angel.

Chris was down the tunnel, firing shotgun round after shotgun round into the Beast until he ran out of ammo. He reached into his jacket with both hands, pulling out two guns, starting to fire at the Beast.

The Beast ran toward him.

Gerard pulled Chris out of his way.

Angel flew after the Beast, ramming into his back, making him fall against the wall.

Chris looked at Gerard. "He's not slowing down."

"Oh, he will," Gerard told him. "They all will."

Jordan was still on fire, jumping toward the Beast, slashing into him.

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Tara was badly wounded from the wolfsbane bullets in her stomach and side. Malia and Corinne landed on the floor.

Malia was also now shot, badly wounded as well from the wolfsbane.

Stiles and Stacie ran into the loft.

Malia and Corinne, still on the floor, and Tara, still standing and holding her wounds, all looked at Stiles and Stacie.

Stiles saw the fight, coming to a stop. "Oh, damn."

Corinne rolled over the floor to grab both of her guns, landing in a crouching position, trying to shoot Stiles and Stacie. Stacie ran toward Stiles, grabbing him and spinning them both behind the wall so that they wouldn't get shot. Stacie kicked the gun out of Corinne's hand, making it fall to the floor, spinning to backhand punch her in the face. Corinne grabbed Stacie by her shoulders, turning to push her against the wall. Stacie kneed Corinne in the gut, headbutting her in the head, punching her in the face, making her let go. Corinne slashed toward Stacie. Before Corinne could slash into Stacie, Tara jumped up onto the table, jumping at Corinne to tackle her through the glass coffee table in front of the couch, making the glass table shatter beneath them, and both of them land on glass.

Tunnels

Scott, Ari, Lydia, Adriana, Natalie and Liam made it to the tunnels. Ari and Adriana were helping Lydia along.

They could hear electricity crackling.

"Do you hear that?" Liam asked.

"I heard that," Lydia told them in a raspy whisper.

"Lydia, save your voice," Scott told her.

Natalie looked at the water on the floor underneath them, hearing more electricity crackling, knowing what it meant. "Lydia, get out of the water!"

Ari and Adriana ran to pull Lydia against the wall, out of the water.

Electricity surged through the water, electrocuting Natalie, Liam and Scott, making them all fall to the ground.

Theo stepped out of the door in the wall next to Ari, slitting her neck with Kanima claws. "Sorry, Ari."

Ari held her neck, feeling venom already passing into her system, trying to remain standing, her body shutting down, making her fall to the floor.

Lydia tried to stop Ari from falling into the electrified water, slipping toward the hole in the floor, starting to fall. "Ari! Ari!" She tried to stay above ground. "Ari! Ari!"

"Lydia!" Ari told her worriedly.

Adriana ran closer, managing to catch Lydia's hand, trying to pull her up to the door to pull her up to the ground.

Theo knelt next to Adriana, slitting both of his clawed hands against her arm and neck to paralyze her. "Don't worry, Adri. It's a few foot drop. She's not gonna get hurt. I just need you out of the way for a few minutes. Might actually keep you safe from getting yourself killed by the Beast. You feel that, Adri? Kanima venom." He pulled Adriana up slightly to hold her in a sitting position from behind her, holding her hands to take power from her, making gold veins pass from her hands to his. Adriana was still struggling to hold onto Lydia while he was doing this. "And while that's paralyzing you, I'm just going to borrow a little bit of your power so I can be strong enough to take the Beast's. Just let it happen. Let it go. Let everything go." Theo smirked, speaking into her ear. "And give it to me."

Adriana struggled to hold onto Lydia's hands, her body shutting down. She slowly started to lose her grip. "No!"

Adriana's hands went completely numb. She couldn't keep holding on.

Lydia fell to the floor inside the room where the door led to. She screamed.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Elsewhere

While still in the fight, Angel, Jordan and the Beast heard Lydia screaming from further in the tunnels.

Jordan and Angel looked in the direction it came from worriedly.

The Beast punched Jordan in the face, making him fall, slashing into Angel's stomach and chest, making her fall to the floor. He returned to Sebastian, walking away through the tunnels.

Jordan was no longer on fire.

Angel looked at the slash marks in her body in pain, breathing heavily.

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Corinne threw Malia into the wall, making her fall, walking closer. She had both her guns raised, shooting both Tara and Malia again, making them groan in agony.

Stacie had her crossbow ready, trying to shoot Corinne with an arrow. Corinne ducked. Stacie ran closer, punching Corinne in the chest, making her back away from Tara and Malia. Corinne slashed toward Stacie. Stacie ducked, kicking her in the chest hard enough to make her back into the other wall on the other side of the living room, making her fall. Corinne flipped up to a standing position, punching Stacie twice in the face, running toward her, jumping into the air, spinning to kick Stacie with both feet, making her fall onto the glass on the floor. Corinne picked up her gun, shooting Stacie in the shoulder before she had a chance to react, making her groan a scream of pain.

Stiles tried to run closer worriedly. "Stacie?"

"Stiles, stay back," Stacie told him.

Stiles stopped worriedly. Corinne turned to try to shoot Stiles. Malia pulled Stiles into hiding. Stacie held her shoulder in pain, glaring up at Corinne.

Tara growled, running toward Corinne, slashing into her, kicking her in the stomach. Corinne slashed her claws into Tara's wounds, digging into the wolfsbane, making her groan in pain. Tara pushed Corinne off of her, against the walls, turning around, pushing her to the floor. Corinne and Malia both stood. Malia tried to punch Corinne. Corinne ducked, trying to punch Malia. Malia ducked. Corinne grabbed Malia from behind to try to restrain her. Malia made them back into the wall, making her let go, grabbing her by the arms, flipping Corinne off of her to the floor, making her roll into the wall. Corinne stood. Malia and Tara stood on either side of Corinne, ready to fight. Corinne tried to punch Tara. Tara ducked, spinning out of the way, grabbing Corinne, pushing her into the stairs by the door, growling. Corinne dug her claws into the wounds she left, pushing Tara back toward Malia, standing, running toward them.

Malia and Tara both ducked, turning to grab Corinne as she started to soar over them, flipping her to the ground, standing over her. (Slow motion)

Tunnels

Angel was sitting on the floor long enough to heal from her badly delivered wounds from the Beast, breathing heavily.

Chayton walked toward Angel worriedly, kneeling next to her. "Angel, are you all right?"

"I'm fine, Chayton," Angel answered. "I'm healing. What are you doing here, Chayton?"

"I came to help," Chayton answered. "I meant what I said. I know that you will be able to defeat the Beast. I know that you can save everyone. But like you said, Angel. You can't do it alone. You need help. You need my help. And I want to. Help." Angel smiled a small smile in relief, sighing. "Come on."

Chayton helped Angel stand.

"The Valkyrie, born of Raven and Hellhound, and the Chimera, half falcon, half Werewolf?" Angel asked. "I think we can do some damage to this thing, Chayton." Chayton chuckled. "Chayton, we have to save Mason."

Chayton nodded. "I know. We'll just buy the others some time so that we can."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Other Tunnel

Scott, Liam and Natalie were recovering from being electrocuted, while Ari and Adriana were recovering from being paralyzed.

Theo was still holding the paralyzed Adriana in his arms, after finishing taking her power, laying her down, kneeling next to her, brushing a bit of hair out of her face. They could see through the hole in the floor down below to Lydia to see that she was standing and pacing.

"See, Adri?" Theo asked. "Told you she wasn't gonna get hurt."

"I'm gonna kill you," Adriana told him angrily.

Theo smirked in amusement, shaking his head. "No, you won't." They heard the Beast growling in the distance. Theo leaned closer to whisper to Adriana. "You hear that? That's the sound of real power."

Theo shifted, standing, walking away down the corridor into the next tunnel.

Sebastian walked toward Theo. "Another arrogant youth. A contender to steal my name? You think you can take it from me?"

"I just want you power," Theo told him, walking closer, stabbing Sebastian in the gut with his claws in an attempt to take his power, but it wasn't working.

Sebastian let his eyes glow white. Theo looked alarmed. Sebastian turned into the Beast as black veins trailed up Theo's face, pushing him to the ground, growling. He heard the sonic emitters again, becoming Sebastian once more, walking off to follow the sound of the emitters.

Deucalion, Adriana, Ari, Scott, Liam and Natalie walked toward Theo.

Deucalion and Adriana exchanged a look, smirking.

Theo realized, looking at Deucalion. "You lied to me." Adriana knelt next to Theo. "You and Adriana..."

"That's right, Theo," Adriana told him. Deucalion smirked, taking off his glasses, revealing cloudy-looking eyes. "The whole time."

Deucalion closed his eyes. He opened them. They were clear.

Theo glared at him. "It would've never worked."

"It could have worked," Deucalion told him. "With Belasko's talons."

"Or if you were a half-breed with the power to give and take power at will," Adriana told him. "Theo, I told you if anything else happened to Lydia because of you, I would do this."

Theo looked at Adriana in confusion. Adriana looked at Theo expressionlessly, taking his head in her hands, twisting quickly, breaking his neck, but not killing him.

Underground Room

Lydia was unharmed, searching through the dark of the underground room she was in, finding a door, trying to open it, but it was locked. She couldn't get it open.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Tunnels

Theo was still laying on the ground, temporarily paralyzed from the broken neck. Adriana was still kneeling next to him, looking at Theo in amusement, smirking smugly. Deucalion, Scott, Ari, Natalie and Liam stood behind her.

Theo looked at Adriana in surprise, complaining. "You broke my neck."

Adriana patted Theo on the chest twice sarcastically. "I keep my promises." She gave him a sarcastic look, using his words against him. "Might actually keep you safe from getting yourself killed by the Beast." She stood. "And good luck with that, Theo."

Deucalion looked at Ari and Adriana. "There's an access grate that leads to the sublevel. I think we can get to your cousin there."

Ari and Adriana nodded.

"What about Mason?" Liam asked.

"We can still save your friend," Deucalion answered.

"Let's go," Scott told them.

Scott, Ari, Adriana, Liam, Natalie and Deucalion started to walk away.

Deucalion was shot in the back, falling against the wall. "This just isn't my day."

Deucalion slid down the wall to the floor, groaning in pain.

Gerard and Chris walked toward them.

Gerard had his gun raised, obviously the one to have shot Deucalion. "This is a surprising alliance, Adriana. You're working with Deucalion again? After everything that the two of you have done to each other? How long have you been planning this clever little double cross?"

"About as long as Ari and I have been planning this one," Chris answered, tossing the cane to Ari. Ari caught it easily in one hand. "Which is proof that you don't want to tangle with Ari or Adriana, because the twins are more clever and stronger than most. True forces to be reckoned with."

Gerard looked at Chris in confusion. "What are you doing?"

"I knew when I brought you back, it would never be about saving lives," Chris told him. "Only about immortalizing your own." Gerard and Chris aimed their guns at each other. Chris never looked away from Gerard, but spoke to Ari. "Ari, go. Ari, go, now!"

Scott, Ari, Adriana, Liam and Natalie walked around the corner of the tunnel. They could hear a gunshot from the tunnel behind them.

¤•¤°¤•¤

The Loft - Living Room

Stiles was helping Stacie with the gunshot wound in her shoulder.

Corinne grabbed both of her guns from the floor, taking advantage of the fact that Malia and Tara were getting weaker from the wolfsbane, shooting both of them again twice, standing, walking closer. "It's not the full moon, Malia. But you know what? It's close enough."

"Stop," Malia told her.

Corinne shot Tara and Malia both again, making them back away.

Malia and Tara took cover from behind the overturned table so that Corinne couldn't shoot them, and so that she couldn't see them.

Stiles crawled closer. "Tara."

Tara looked at Stiles. Stiles threw the brown paper bag-wrapped jar that Ari had given to him and Stacie to Tara.

Tara ripped the paper bag off, revealing the jar of Belasko's claws, all ten of them. She opened the jar to pull five of the claws on, tossing Malia the jar. Malia pulled the other five claws on her claws.

Corinne walked around the table toward Tara and Malia, snapping out her claws, letting her eyes glow blue, stabbing Malia in the stomach with her claws in her wolfsbane-laced wounds. "I want my power back."

Malia dropped the glass jar, stabbing Corinne in the stomach with Belasko's talons. "I want my family back."

Tara stood behind Corinne, stabbing her in the back with Belasko's talons. Both Tara's eyes and Malia's eyes glowed blue more intensely as they took Corinne's power from her, while the blue glow faded from Corinne's eyes. They took the claws out of her after they took her power, letting her go.

Corinne knew now that she didn't stand a chance, turning to run. Stacie was standing in front of Corinne now, punching her in the face, hitting her in the head with the butt of her own gun, making her fall unconscious.

Stacie held her shoulder where Corinne had shot her, and her wrist, stomach and side where Sebastian had slashed into her at the station, groaning in pain, looking at Tara and Malia, who were holding their own wounds in pain, all three of them breathing heavily. "Told you not to underestimate me."

Tara and Malia smirked in amusement.

Stacie chuckled.

Tara and Malia looked at each other in relief, breathing heavily, managing small smiles though still wounded. They embraced, pulling away.

Stacie was lightheaded from the amount of blood she had lost that night, starting to feel faint, nearly collapsing.

Stiles caught Stacie, holding her standing. He looked between Stacie, Tara and Malia. "We should get you guys to Melissa, Macey and Deaton."

Stacie, Tara and Malia nodded in agreement.

Tunnels

Scott, Ari, Natalie, Liam and Adriana continued to run through the tunnels.

Liam looked at the cane/sword in Natalie's hand. "Natalie, I'll do it."

"Liam..." Natalie trailed off.

"It should be me, Natalie," Liam told her. "If you get me close enough, I'll do it."

Liam reached for the cane in Natalie's hand.

Natalie pulled it out of his reach. She turned to Liam reassuringly. "We're not killing your best friend."

"Natalie..." Liam trailed off.

They ran toward Angel and Chayton.

"Angel, Chayton, got the pike," Scott told them. "Sword/cane."

Natalie handed the sword/cane to Angel.

Sebastian walked toward them. "When did youths become so confident?"

"Oh, dude, you have not seen confident," Angel told him.

Sebastian looked at the cane/sword. "That belongs to me. It's a family heirloom. I'd like it back, please."

"It's all yours," Ari told him. "Just give us Mason."

"Unfortunately, I would not know where to begin," Sebastian told them. "And while I've benefited from his memories, I don't have much use for an alter ego."

Scott, Ari, Adriana, Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton looked at each other.

Scott, Ari and Adriana nodded to Natalie, Liam, Angel and Chayton. They nodded in understanding in return. They looked at Sebastian, shifting. Scott and Ari's eyes glowed red. Adriana's eyes glowed completely purple. Natalie and Liam's eyes glowed gold. Angel's eyes glowed dark, fiery gold. Chayton's eyes glowed a dark green color. Angel and Chayton also made their wings and talons grow.

Chayton looked at Sebastian. "All right."

"Come and get it," Natalie told him.

Sebastian's eyes started to glow completely white with a blue undertone.

Underground Room

Lydia was struggling with the locked door.

Kira's sword pierced the wood.

Lydia backed away from the door.

Kira sliced open the door, kicking it down. She looked at Lydia, smiling. "Sorry I'm late."

Tunnels

Liam was thrown to the floor.

The Beast pushed Angel back into the wall.

Chayton flew closer, slashing into the Beast. The Beast punched him in the chest hard enough to throw him back into the other wall on the other side of the tunnel, making him fall.

Scott and Natalie ran closer, slashing and punching into the Beast twice, their feet sloshing through the water on the floor.

Chayton and Angel both stood, looking at each other, nodding, flying closer to the Beast.

Adriana and Ari were next to each other on the floor, looking at each other, nodding. They looked at the Beast, growling, each of them holding one hand together, slamming all four onto the ground with all the strength they had put together, creating a shockwave that threw Scott, Natalie and Liam into the wall, making them fall, threw Chayton and Angel out of the air, making them fall, and threw the Beast into the other wall on the other side of the tunnel, making him fall. (slow motion)

The Beast was able to stand, gripping Scott's neck, picking him up.

Angel, Adriana and Ari were forced to stop their next attack with Scott's life literally in his hands.

The Beast transformed into Sebastian. He looked at them in confusion. "You're strong. There's no doubt in that. But none of you fight with a killer instinct. Let me show you how to go for the throat."

Liam ran closer with the cane/sword, taking the pike out.

Natalie stood in Liam's way of Sebastian and Scott. "Liam, wait. We can still save Mason."

"Who's going to save Scott?" Liam asked.

"What kind of Werewolves are you?" Sebastian asked.

Liam tried to run past Natalie toward Sebastian.

Natalie held Liam back. "No!"

Natalie twisted the pike out of Liam's grasp, turning around, aiming the pike at Sebastian.

Scott was on his knees.

Sebastian still gripped his throat, his claws growing, piercing the back of Scott's neck. He began to see memories of Allison Argent while he was in Scott's mind.

The memories of Allison included when Allison and Stacie had saved the pack from the Alphas in the warehouse (3.05 Frayed), when Allison was aiming her bow and arrow at a tree with Lydia and Stacie (3.13 Anchors), when Allison was cuddling with Scott in his car (2.06), when Allison smiled at Scott on the bus (3.05 Frayed), when Scott wiped the eyelash away from Allison's cheek (1.01 Wolf Moon), and when Allison died in Scott's arms (3.23 Insatiable).

Sebastian looked pained and confused, mistaking Allison for his sister. "Marie-Jeanne?"

Sebastian pulled his claws out of the back of Scott's neck.

Ari and Adriana ran toward Sebastian, jumping up into the air, spinning to kick him with both feet, making him back away from Scott and fall into the wall.

Natalie and Liam ran to Scott's side, helping him stand.

Lydia, Jordan and Kira ran toward them.

Lydia looked at Sebastian. "Mason."

Nothing happened.

"I think you're gonna need to try it a little louder," Natalie told her.

"Scream," Ari told her.

"Lydia, scream," Adriana told her.

Sebastian walked toward Jordan, Lydia and Kira, transforming into the Beast.

Lydia took a deep breath, Banshee screaming his name. "Mason!"

Still shifted, Angel growled like a roar of a Hellhound and a screeching caw like a Raven. Combined with Lydia's scream, it sent sound waves toward the Beast. (slow motion)

The giant form turned into smoke.

Angel spread her wings, flying up, surrounding her wings around the smoke so it couldn't escape.

Mason stumbled out of the smoke, falling to the ground.

Cory became visible against the wall, walking forward to catch Mason, pulling him to the side to pull him out of danger.

Natalie, Liam, Lydia and Kira smiled in shock.

Chayton, Angel, Ari and Adriana exchanged a relieved look.

Mason and Cory looked at each other in shock, breathless.

The now mostly formless smoke Beast careened down the tunnel.

Jordan ran closer, completely on fire, catching the smoke.

Angel turned to the others. "Chayton!"

Chayton took the cane/pike from Natalie, stepping away from the others to throw the pike toward Angel.

Angel caught the pike, spinning around to throw the pike into the formless Beast in Jordan's hands.

The Beast roared in agony. It slowly started to dissipate into nothing.

Jordan let the fire around him fade into nothing.

Angel let herself land on the floor, drawing the wings into her back and letting herself return to normal.

They all looked at each other, breathing heavily, knowing that we had defeated the Beast and saved Mason together, smiling in shock.

"Is everyone okay?" Scott asked.

Theo walked toward them with lightning flaring around his body. "Not everyone."

Theo started to shoot Angel with a bolt of energy, using it to siphon off some power from Angel. Electricity flickered around Angel, making her breathe heavily as the lightning siphoned off some of her power, but didn't hurt her.

Jordan was angry, flaring up with fire, roaring. "Angel."

Chayton took the pike from Angel's hands, holding it in front of Angel to shield her, but the amount of electricity blasting from Theo shot it out of his hands.

Kira drew her sword. "The Skinwalkers have a message for you, Theo. Your sister wants to see you."

Kira stabbed her sword into the floor with such force that it made the floor crack and crumble around them.

Theo's sister crawled up from the hole.

Theo looked terrified, enough to the point where he had to stop shooting Angel with electricity.

Angel was overwhelmed by the feeling of it, exhausted from the fight, feeling faint. Chayton stood next to Angel, holding her standing.

Theo's sister glared up at him, grabbing him by his ankle, starting to drag Theo down into the hole.

Theo held onto the floor for dear life. "Adri, help me! No! No! Adri! Help me, Adri! No! Adri! Help me!"

Adriana looked disconcerted and disturbed by having to watch this, not knowing what to do or how to feel. Almost as if like instinct, she took a step closer, but whether she was going to help him or not, it was too late.

Theo was dragged away into the hole by his sister.

The hole magically sealed up behind them.

Everyone was looking at Adriana sympathetically because of everything that she had gone through with the return of Theo and the Dread Doctors, and the conflict inside her from both the balance being broken and because of her relationship with Theo. Adriana was so upset that she couldn't help but trace her double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist, as if that could have stopped what just happened.

Lydia and Ari walked closer to stand on either side of Adriana to comfort her, knowing that she felt awful because of everything that had happened, and knowing that some of that was coming from this moment.

Adriana looked as if she didn't want to feel anything so that she didn't have to feel conflicted about what had just happened. She looked at Lydia and Ari, clearly trying to stop tears from forming in her eyes, if not from sadness, then from anger and betrayal.

Argent Bunker

Gerard and Chris were both in the bunker, mostly unharmed.

Chris was bandaging up the gunshot wound he had delivered to Gerard's arm. They both glared at each other.

Chris walked away, smirking a little bit.

Street

Adriana and Deucalion were speaking in the street.

"You knew, didn't you?" Adriana asked, turning to face him. "You knew the truth about my past. About the Dread Doctors. About Theo. You knew about everything."

"I'm the one who gave you the bite when you believed otherwise," Deucalion told her. "Of course I knew."

"Did you know Theo was still alive?" Adriana asked. "You showed me how to give in to the darkness before because I wanted the pain to go away, what I was going through when I thought Theo was dead. You told me to avenge him, by giving in to the deepest and darkest parts of myself." She showed him the tattoo on her wrist. "You and Kali gave me this tattoo because you wanted it to be a reminder, motivation for me to get vengeance for him, even though I had different reasons for wanting it. But did you know that Theo was still alive?" Deucalion didn't answer, but that was answer enough. Adriana sighed, unsurprised. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Would you have believed me?" Deucalion asked. Adriana didn't answer, because she knew that she wouldn't have. "You needed to learn of your past on your own, Adriana. You needed to remember for yourself."

Adriana turned to leave, hesitating, turning back. "Thank you." Deucalion looked at Adriana. "For helping. You really did turn the tides in our favor. Which is something I never thought I would say."

Deucalion smirked. "You and me both." Adriana turned to go. "Adriana." Adriana stopped, turning back. "You wanted to know if anything Theo told you was true. He didn't want me to hurt you. He electrocuted me with the belief that I was going to take your eyes. He told you the truth about the Dread Doctors wanting to kill you and giving him the ultimatum whether to let them kill you or to hurt everyone else as a form of distraction to break the bond, so the darkness would distract you from remembering everything the Dread Doctors didn't want you to remember. In his mind, he was trying to protect you. To save you, even if he had to hurt everyone else. He told you the truth when he said that it was the only other way. Whatever his downfalls... the one good thing is that he really did care about you. Wanted to protect you above all else, even if he had to do harm to do so. It's obvious it is more than just caring. Being corrupted beyond belief didn't change that."

Adriana took this in seriously, nodding thankfully to Deucalion for his part, though she was still confused and conflicted about how to feel about Theo and what happened to him, walking away, leaving.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Melissa, Deaton and Macey had taken care of Stacie, Tara, Malia and Hayden. They were all fine for the most part now. Lydia was also here so that Macey could properly help her deal with the wound in her neck.

Chayton, Angel, Liam, Natalie, Scott, Stiles, Adriana and Ari were with them.

"Hayden, I've managed to stabilize the injury," Deaton told her. "But considering you're a Chimera, I don't know how, or if, you'll heal."

"We can still take you to the hospital," Melissa told her.

Hayden shook her head. "I've already died there once."

"It's your choice," Scott told her.

"I know," Hayden told them.

Hayden looked at Angel. Angel smiled reassuringly, nodding.

They knew that Hayden wanted to turn into a real Werewolf so that she would have a guaranteed recovery.

Chayton, Angel, Liam, Malia and Hayden looked at Adriana, Scott and Ari, wondering which one was going to turn Hayden.

Natalie, Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Tara exchanged a look, looking at Ari. Ari looked at them in surprise, realizing that they wanted her to do it. She looked at Lydia, Adriana and Macey. Lydia, Adriana and Macey all smiled small smiles, nodding.

Melissa and Deaton smiled at this.

Ari transformed so that she could give Hayden the bite, to turn her, and save her, creating her first official Werewolf and Beta.

Day Two

Morning - Beacon of Beacon Hills

(Song:) Fight Till the End - Jack Savoretti

Angel was standing in the woods, looking over the lights of the town. She heard someone walking closer, turning to see Chayton, smiling. Chayton walked closer, smirking, pulling Angel closer into a slow and passionate kiss, wrapping his arms around her. Angel wrapped her arms around his neck. They continued to kiss for a long moment, pulling away.

Chayton opened his eyes, letting them glow green.

Angel opened her eyes, letting them glow fiery gold. "Chayton, I'll race you."

Chayton chuckled. "You're on, Angel. You could still use a little help on control."

Angel chuckled, pushing Chayton in the chest. They laughed, both letting their wings grow, both of them smiling, kissing for a moment longer. Angel turned to jump off the beacon, flying through the sky. Chayton followed, racing Angel through the sky.

McCall House - Natalie's Room

Natalie and Liam were sitting on Natalie's bed, kissing passionately and endlessly, smiling, finally pulling away, smiling.

"We did it, Liam," Natalie told him. Liam smiled, nodding. "Told you we could."

Liam smiled. "Natalie, what happens if there's a next time?"

"There's always a next time," Natalie told him. "Hopefully we can do it, too."

Natalie and Liam smiled, continuing to kiss passionately.

Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office

Stiles, Stacie and Sheriff were sitting in Sheriff's office, talking.

"You saved their lives," Sheriff told them. "Mason. Tara. Malia. Half the population of Beacon Hills. That's got to feel pretty good."

"It does," Stiles told them.

"It's something I want to feel again," Stacie told them. "Protecting people. Saving people."

Sheriff smiled a small smile. "Welcome to your future career in law enforcement."

Stiles and Stacie looked at each other, smiling.

Beacon Hills High School - Outside

Lydia, Ari and Adriana arrived at school at the same time, looking at the students arriving with them, going back to their everyday lives, smiling small smiles. They linked their arms, walking toward the school. Adriana was lost in thought, and even though the fact that she kept tracing her tattoo over and over again did little to make her less upset about what happened to Theo, it did give her more control for the time being. Lydia and Ari looked at her knowingly.

"It's okay to feel bad about what happened with Theo, Adri," Lydia told her. Adriana looked at them. "You two had history. Simple as that."

Adriana sighed. "Nothing about Theo and me was ever simple. He wanted me to be with him, and he did everything possible to push me away, even when he was protecting me, saving me, or helping me. He was still betraying me, too. Ari, I still can't help but think of that little boy that used to be in that cell next to me. The one that used to tell me that everything was going to be okay. The one that I promised I would get him out of there. The Dread Doctors brainwashed him to hell, and they screwed with my head, too. But he helped me get out. I got away, and even while I did everything exactly the way they wanted me to do, I still broke free of that. Theo went through years more of this, and they turned him into a psychotic, sociopath killer that couldn't be saved. That couldn't be redeemed, because he was too far gone to want to. Ari, a few more years, and that could have been me."

Lydia, Adriana and Ari stopped walking in front of the school.

Lydia and Ari looked at Adriana.

Ari shook her head. "No, Adriana. You could never have turned into someone like that. Adri, that's not who you are."

"Ari, I could have been," Adriana told her. "And Theo was like that because of me. Because I didn't get there fast enough to save him."

"There's nothing that you could have done," Lydia told her. "You said it yourself. You did everything the Doctors wanted you to do. And they didn't want you to save Theo."

Adriana sighed, shaking her head, looking down. "It doesn't make it any easier."

"I know, Adri," Ari told her sadly.

Stacie, Natalie, Malia and Angel walked toward them. They knew what Lydia, Adriana and Ari were talking about, looking at them sadly. They each gave Adriana a well-needed hug to make her feel better. They all managed small smiles.

Stacie and Natalie smiled sadly when they embraced Adriana. "Adri..."

They pulled away.

Adriana took a deep breath. "Stacie, Natalie..." She cleared her throat to make her voice sound more convincing. "Stace, Nattie, I'm fine." Angel looked as if she was about to ask if she was sure when Adriana pointed at her. "Angel, don't even ask if I'm sure." Angel opened her mouth to speak, amused, but Adriana cut her off. "I mean it, Angel."

Angel chuckled. "Okay, Adriana."

"It seems like we're all in desperate need for a subject change," Natalie told them.

"You need a subject change?" Malia asked. "Perfect. We're excellent at subject changes."

Angel nodded in agreement. "Exhibit A: Kira might be going back to the Skinwalkers because she made a deal with them to save us, but she's gonna be back. She still has to graduate."

"That's the thing, though," Stacie told them. "I don't know. When we started this school year, I was so stressed out about everyone ending up in the same place after we graduate. But I don't think it matters. We always seem to find each other again."

The girls all smiled small smiles. Natalie, Ari, Stacie and Adriana linked arms, walking toward the school. Lydia, Malia and Angel linked arms, walking toward the school.

Mason, Cory, Chayton, Stiles and Liam were walking along, seeing the girls together, smiling, exchanging a look as they walked inside.

The Loft - Living Room

Scott and Tara were in the loft, cleaning up the loft after the fight.

"I'm glad you're okay, Tara," Scott told her. "I'm sorry I couldn't be here."

"It's okay," Tara told him. "You were handling the bigger fight. Fighting the Beast and saving Mason? That was huge. They needed both Alphas of the pack."

"Yeah, and you fought the Desert Wolf, saved Malia," Scott told her. "Yeah, we both nearly died, but..."

"But what else is new?" Tara asked.

Scott chuckled. "You took the Desert Wolf's power. You're stronger now. You and Malia both are."

"Not by much, considering we split the power, but yeah," Tara told him. "Stacie helped save us, too."

"You know, we always seem to find each other," Scott told her. "You, me, the pack. Even Allison." Tara looked at him in confusion. "When you suggested that the pack symbol be my tattoo, even though I got it when I still had hope for me and Allison to be together, you told me that was why it should be the symbol. Because Allison was still a big part of the pack. And I wanted the symbol to also be something that symbolized you and Derek because without the two of you, I wouldn't be where I am. So I added the triskele to it. But last night..."

"What?" Tara asked.

Scott sighed. "It was in the tunnels. When Sebastian had his hands around my throat. The guy probably didn't even know what he was doing. His claws got into my neck. He was going to kill me, but then he stopped, and he said a name. Marie-Jeanne."

"He saw your memories," Tara told him.

"He saw Allison," Scott told her.

"They must have looked like each other," Tara told him. "I mean, maybe exactly like each other."

"It gave me a chance to break free, Tara," Scott told her.

"She saved you," Tara told him. "Allison saved your life."

Scott nodded, smiling a small smile. "It felt good to save Mason last night. To do something right... after so long of feeling like we've been doing nothing but failing."

"We may be Werewolves, Scott, but we're still teenagers," Tara told him. "Even me. We're gonna make a few mistakes along the way. But we can still get through them."

"If it wasn't for you, Tara, I don't know how I would've made it through everything," Scott told her.

Tara chuckled, nodding. "Well, I can say this. If it wasn't for you, I would still be that stone cold shell of a girl that didn't let anyone in. I'm living better this way." She walked toward Scott. "'Cause at least now I can feel alive. And I can feel the way I feel about you. And I love you."

"I love you, too, Tara," Scott told her.

Scott and Tara both smiled small smiles. Scott walked closer to take her hand in his, placing the other on her cheek, kissing her slowly and passionately for a long moment. Tara wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him into a deeper and more passionate kiss, as they continued to kiss in front of the wall of windows with sunlight pouring in.

Dark Laboratory

The glass tube that had held the Nazi Werewolf was not empty. The glass was broken, the fluid drained, and wet footprints were leading away from it to the door, leading to believe that the Beacon Hills pack already had a new problem to worry about immediately after getting rid of four. (the Dread Doctors, the Beast, the Desert Wolf, and Theo)
