chapter 10 - Status Asthmaticus

Outfits in the external link

From 5.08 "Ouroboros", in the hospital hallway, Stacie was sitting at the side of the room, holding her student ID card with her picture and her real name stated above it.

Saoirse (Sear-sha) Stilinski.

Stacie crushed the card, letting it fall into the trash, looking away.

Ari: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

From 5.05 "A Novel Approach", outside Eichen House, Two of the Dread Doctors were restraining Ari, clamping their robotic hands around either of arms, making her groan in pain.

Doctor 2 and Doctor 3 pushed Ari to her knees in front of them, restraining her by her arms.

Doctor 2 pulled Ari's head to the side to expose her neck.

Doctor 1 injected a liquid into Ari's neck, making her gasp in pain.

Mason: (voice over from 5.09 Lies of Omission) "The Doctors did something to her, and she's been getting worse ever since."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the lab, Theo was arguing with the Dread Doctors.

"That's why you want to kill Adriana?" Theo asked. "She remembers everything, and she'll know too much."

"Adriana Martin is a danger," Dread Doctor 1 told him.

"No, no, no," Theo told them worriedly, trying to talk them out of killing Adriana frantically. "Not to me. Just tell me what to do. I don't care what I have to do. Just don't kill Adriana."

From 5.06 "Required Reading", in the weight room, Theo was working out at the butterfly press.

Adriana grabbed either side of the butterfly press, holding them together to make him stop, hard enough to hurt his arms. "If I find out you're lying to me, I'm going to make you regret it."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the school hallway, Adriana ran around a corner, stopping when she saw Dread Doctor 2 standing behind a girl outside. She only froze because she was seeing more and more memories.

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in flashback to a lab, Young Adriana was on an exam table, unable to move or speak.

The Dread Doctors stood over her, working over her, experimenting on her.

Young Adriana screamed.

Adriana: (voice over from 5.09 Lies of Omission) "The wolves aren't the ones that took me. The Dread Doctors did."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the school hallway, Adriana and Malia were talking.

"What about Theo?" Malia asked.

Adriana was in shock, breathing heavily, overwhelmed. "He either forgot, like I did..."

"Or he knew all along," Malia finished. "He's with them."

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the club, Hayden, Angel, Chayton, Natalie and Liam stood together.

The electronics started to malfunction all around them.

Natalie looked around worriedly. "Oh, my God. They're here."

Angel made sure that Liam and Natalie got Chayton clear, turning back for Hayden.

Dread Doctor 2 was injecting Hayden.

Hayden screamed. Her eyes turned completely silver, filling themselves with mercury.

Angel ran closer. "No!"

From 5.09 "Lies of Omission", in the clinic, Hayden was lying on the table.

Chayton, Liam, Natalie, Theo and Tara stood around her.

Scott and Ari walked in.

"She's getting worse," Liam told them. "I think she's dying."

Chayton looked at Scott and Ari. "You said that you'd do everything you could to save me and Hayden." Hayden moaned in pain. "You gotta give her the bite."

Hayden breathed heavily, trying to hold on.

Scott looked as if he was thinking about everything at once, making his decision. "No."

Same Night - Same Scene

Day One

Night - Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Hayden was lying on the table.

Chayton, Liam, Natalie, Theo and Tara stood around her.

Scott and Ari stood by the door.

Chayton looked at Scott in confusion. "What do you mean, no?" He looked at Ari. "I know that you can give someone the bite. If Scott can't, then you can, Ari."

"Chayton, look at her," Tara told him. "She's too weak. It will kill her. We don't even know what the mercury's doing to her. We don't even know if it is actually mercury. The bite either kills you or turns you, and right now, Hayden is too weak to turn."

"You said that it might work, Tara," Liam told her.

"That was on the way here," Tara told them. "You know, when she was still conscious enough to answer a few questions."

"This can't be the only way to save her life," Ari told them.

"It saved Liam and Natalie's," Chayton told them.

"That was different," Ari told him. "Liam was hanging off of a ledge. Natalie had lost a lot of blood, but Derek was still able to turn her because she wasn't that close to death."

"I was pretty close, but, yeah, not as bad as Hayden," Natalie told them.

"We promised Angel we'd do everything we could to save both of you, Chayton," Scott told him. "Which is why we're not going to do something we think is going to kill Hayden." He started to gasp for breath. "There has to be..." He tried to catch his breath, breathing heavily. "There has to be..."

"Scott," Theo told him, tossing Scott an inhaler.

Scott caught it, breathing heavily, taking a puff, calming himself down.

"There's another way to save her," Liam told them.

Hayden was breathing heavily in pain.

"Guys, I don't know what the statistics are for surviving a Werewolf bite, but she's definitely not surviving this," Theo told them. "We need to do something."

Chayton was breathing heavily, turning away.

"Chayton?" Natalie asked. "Chayton, are you okay?"

"I need some air, Natalie," Chayton told her.

"It's not a good idea for you to be alone right now, not with the Dread Doctors after you," Tara told him.

"I'll be fine, Tara," Chayton told her, walking out, leaving.

The others watched him go in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Chayton walked out into the pouring rain, breathing heavily. He was starting to lose control. His nails turned into talons. His eyes glowed green. His back started to snap and crack, making him groan in pain. Wings grew from his back, sprouting out. His teeth were like fangs. His skin started to turn black like a falcon's feathers. He looked more animal than human. He growled, starting to fly away.

On the Road - Stiles' Jeep

(Song:) Titanium - Madilyn Bailey

Stiles was driving.

Stacie was in the passenger seat, taking a deep, shaky breath, knowing that she didn't want to dive into this, but also knowing that she had to set things right. "What did Theo say to you? What did he tell you?"

Stiles hesitated, shaking his head, looking at the knife in Stacie's hand. "Theo had that knife in his car. He showed it to me, Scott and Ari. He told us about your hurt shoulder, the one you said that you hurt during practice. He told us that was Donovan. He told us that he went after you at the library."

Stacie hesitated, nodding. "Yeah."

"He said that you shot Donovan with your crossbow and made him fall," Stiles told her. "And then you started to stab him in the chest with that knife over and over. Said that you made his chest concave."

Stacie looked disconcerted, looking away, tears in her eyes. "No, no, no. No, that's not--that's not what happened." She looked at him. "Stiles, that's not what happened. You have to believe me."

The car started to smoke, breaking down. The smoke blew into the car, making them both cough uncontrollably.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Stiles' Jeep pulled over to the side of the road.

Stacie and Stiles got out of the car, breathing heavily, trying to catch their breath.

Stiles took out the catch box, walking over to the hood of the car, opening it, starting to fix it.

Stacie stood nearby, but she didn't want to get too close.

The rain made the smoke die down instantly.

"Stacie, tell me what really happened," Stiles told her.

Stacie took a deep breath, trying to keep her emotions in check, but they were raging all over the place. "He came at me. I tried to fight him off, but..." She had tears in her eyes. "All I kept thinking was that... I can't let him kill me, and I can't let him kill you, and I can't let him kill Dad. He tried to stab me with this knife, and I turned it on him, dragging it down. He was so angry. He picked me up and threw me into this scaffolding so far up from the floor that if I fell, I was going to break a leg. I caught onto this pin, and it--it--it slipped, and then these support beams, they slid off of the top. When I looked back, one of them had gone right through him." Stiles looked at Stacie in shock, the look that she knew he was going to give her when he found out. Stacie started to cry. "I didn't--I didn't know what to do. I dialed 911, but when the Deputy got there, the body was gone. Even the blood. Everything was just... it was gone, and I didn't... I didn't know what to do. So, I didn't do anything. I'm sorry, Stiles. I didn't know what else to do. So, I didn't... I didn't do anything." Stiles stepped closer. Stacie started to cry even harder. "Stiles, please... please, you have to believe me."

Stiles pulled Stacie into his arms, holding her comfortingly, protectively, sympathetically. "I believe you, Stacie. Hey, I believe you. It's okay. I believe you. Stacie, it's okay."

Stacie wrapped her arms around him, crying. "No, it's not. It's not okay. I'm sorry. Stiles, I'm so sorry."

Stacie continued to cry in Stiles' arms in the pouring rain in front of the Jeep with the headlights shining over them while her brother continued to hold her.

Sheriff's Station

Angel was sitting outside of Sheriff's office on the bench, listening to the Dispatch radio.

A Deputy was sitting at the desk. "Unit 7, can you 10-9? I didn't quite get that."

Unit 7: (on radio) "10-4, Dispatch. I'm southbound on Fryman following suspicious individual loping in the middle of the road."

"Unit 7, clarify loping," the Deputy told him.

Unit 7: (on radio) "Uh... running on all fours. Suspect is possibly a large animal."

Valerie: (on radio) "Unit 5 to Dispatch, I'm turning the corner on Lincoln. Suspect no longer loping, but running. 10-4."

"Unit 5, clarify running," the Deputy told her.

Valerie: (on radio) "Two legs. Moving fast."

"Copy," the Deputy told her. "What's your speed?"

Valerie: (on radio) "45 to 50."

"10-4, Unit 5," the Deputy told her. "Back off and maintain eyes. Dispatch to all units, be on the lookout for suspicious bipedal animal."

Unit 8: (on radio) "Unit 8 to Dispatch, advice coming up on Taft. Animal is back on all fours and... Holy!"

There was the sound of tires screeching.

Angel slowly stood suspiciously.

Sheriff spoke into the radio. "Unit 8, it's Stilinski. Report."

Unit 8: (on radio) "Sheriff. Suspect just flew over my car."

"Flew?" Sheriff repeated. "Clarify, please."

Unit 8: (on radio) "Severed wings on the animal's back."

Angel sighed worriedly, running her hands through her hair, knowing Chayton was losing it, not knowing what to do.

Valerie: (on radio) "Dispatch, I have eyes on the suspect. Corner of Union, heading north towards Beacon Hills High School. Confirm, back on all fours."

"Uh, 10-4," the Deputy told her. "Can you give its 20?"

Valerie: (on radio) "In my rear view mirror. Flying right toward me. Advise suspect is... Oh, my God!"

"Clarke, back off," Sheriff told her.

There was a loud crash.

Angel ran toward the door.

"All available units to Beacon Hills High School," the Deputy told them. "Proceed with caution."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Sheriff ran through the dark hallways. "Clarke!"

Valerie ran closer. "I'm here! Sheriff, my car, it's wrecked. I'm sorry, it's probably totaled. I ran half a mile trying to follow the thing."

"Oh, forget about the car," Sheriff told her. "Insurance will cover it."

"Yeah, well, I wonder how much insurance this school has," Valerie told him.

Angel ran into another hallway, coming to a stop when she saw the Beacon Hills High School sign had been thrown through the ceiling into the hallway, broken in half, walking closer, looking up through the broken roof to see the nearly full moon in the sky.

¤•¤°¤•¤

There was a black wolf with red eyes.

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke. Tyler Posey.

Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.

Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.

A Dread Doctor's face appeared.

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was half-breed purple.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.

Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.

Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.

Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.

Natalie and Liam kissed slowly and softly.

Liam looked to the right. He was completely shifted. He returned to normal, looking straight forward, letting his eyes glow gold. Dylan Sprayberry.

On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.

The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

Day Two

Morning - Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Macey was here, helping Scott, Tara, Ari, Natalie, Liam and Theo take care of Hayden.

Hayden was lying on the exam table.

Macey carried IV bags toward the table, hooking them up to Hayden.

"What's that?" Liam asked.

"It's called chelation therapy," Macey answered. "It removes heavy metals from the blood. But, the problem is, is that can injure the kidneys, and Hayden only has one to begin with, so..."

Macey started to inject Hayden with the needle.

Hayden moaned in pain, starting to stir awake.

Ari was looking at Scott irritably for him not believing Stacie the night before.

Theo knew why the tension between them. "Hey, guys. Remember, we're here to save a life. Not kill each other."

"It's the full moon," Scott told them. "We can feel it even during the day."

"And it's a supermoon," Natalie told them.

"What, is that supposed to make you guys, like, super strong?" Macey asked. "Super aggressive?"

Tara sighed, nodding. "Both." She looked at Ari significantly. "And some of us are feeling it a lot more than others."

Ari looked away in annoyance. "Shut up, Tara." Natalie looked at Ari in concern, opening her mouth to speak, but Ari cut her off. "Don't start, Natalie."

The others looked at Ari in confusion and concern, while Theo seemed to be realizing what the Dread Doctors did to her and why she was acting this way.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office

Sheriff was looking out of his window in the office, sighing heavily, rubbing his hands over his head. He walked toward his desk, examining a notebook with pictures labeled "Known Chimeras", with pictures of Tracy, Donovan, Lucas, Josh, Chayton, Hayden, Cory and Beth.

Melissa walked in. "Hey."

Sheriff looked at her in surprise. "Hi."

"Surprised to see me?" Melissa asked.

"After what happened the last time we saw each other, yeah," Sheriff answered.

Melissa sighed. "I'm sorry. I know you're just doing your job. But doing your job and not learning how to bend before someone breaks can get you, me, and our children and their friends hurt or in trouble."

Sheriff nodded in agreement, understanding. "Or worse. And it could happen to others. I get it. And you're right. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry for slapping you," Melissa told him.

Sheriff smiled a small smile. "Did you come here just so that both of us could apologize?"

"Actually, no," Melissa answered, taking out an envelope. "Maintenance found this in the hospital trash a few weeks ago."

Sheriff took the envelope, opening it, taking out Stacie's library key card, looking at it in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Main Room

Angel was sitting on the bench outside the office.

Lydia walked closer. "Hey." Angel looked up somberly. Lydia sat next to her. "What's wrong?"

"You mean other than my uncle locking himself up so he doesn't hurt anybody?" Angel asked. "Chayton is MIA and out of control, and I don't know how to help either of them."

Lydia sighed, looking at her sympathetically. "You can't help everyone, Angel."

"But that's just it, Lydia," Angel told her. "I don't know if I can help anybody. I'm not like you guys. I don't know what to do."

"You know, I used to think that I couldn't do what they can, either," Lydia told her. "But enough's happened, and enough time's gone by that I know I can now."

"So, what you're saying is, that if something bad keeps happening to me, and more opportunity comes by where I can stop something bad happening, then I'll get used to this?" Angel asked. "Thanks."

Angel sighed, looking away.

"Angel," Lydia told her. "It's gonna be okay."

"You don't know that," Angel told her.

"You're right," Lydia told her. "I don't, but the only person who can make it okay and that has the power to, is you."

Angel sighed, exhaling shakily. "Come on. Tell me what's going on out there. I need to know. Just take my mind off everything."

Lydia hesitated. "You're not gonna like it. At all."

"I don't like this," Angel replied. "At all."

"Angel, it's only gonna make it worse," Lydia told her.

"Lydia, please," Angel told her.

Lydia hesitated, nodding. "Okay. Hayden's still alive, but they don't know how to save her." Angel took a deep breath, looking down. "Wait. What about Chayton?"

"He caused a lot of damage last night, and I spent the entire night trying to track him, but I have no idea where he is," Angel told her. "I don't know if he's a failure or a success, or if he's dead or alive. And I'm too freaked to think."

"Then calm down," Lydia told her. "We'll find Chayton. And I'll talk to Parrish. Okay?"

Angel sighed, looking up, nodding, but didn't know what else to do.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Waiting Room

(Song:) Everything's Not Gone - Vancouver Sleep Clinic

Scott and Tara were sitting out in the main room together, both of them tired after no sleep the night before.

"You know we're going to need help with them," Tara told him. "Liam and Natalie have always had control issues, because of his IED, her anger issues and claustrophobia. The supermoon's gonna be harder on them than any full moon."

"They'll be all right," Scott told her. "Honestly, I'm kind of more worried about Ari. She's been getting worse ever since the Doctors got her. And she's emotional about last night. About Stiles and Stacie. And I know she's mad at me."

Tara sighed. "All those emotions mixed with the supermoon... tonight isn't going to be good."

Scott sighed. "I know."

"We need help," Tara told him. "And I don't mean restraints or chains. I mean, Malia, Adriana, Stiles, Stacie, Lydia, Angel... You need your pack, Scott."

"I'm not so sure I have one anymore, Tara," Scott told her.

Tara sighed, taking his hand. "It's bad now. But trust me. We've all been through worse. And we've gotten through that before. We can get through this."

Scott looked at her.

Tara nodded, looking away.

"Tara?" Scott asked. Tara looked at him. "Thank you."

"For what?" Tara asked.

"For everything," Scott answered.

Tara smiled a small, tired smile, looking at his hand in hers.

Their fingers linked, closing in on each other.

Scott held his arm around Tara. Tara leaned her head against his shoulder.

Sheriff's Station - Cells

Lydia and Jordan were sitting on either side of the bars, on the floor.

"Go home, Lydia," Jordan told her. "Stilinski isn't telling anyone where he put the bodies, and I'm pretty sure I'm not psychic."

Lydia sighed. "But you're drawn to death. Just like me."

They looked at each other through the bars.

"Does that make me a kind of Banshee?" Jordan asked.

"I find bodies," Lydia told him.

"I find Chimeras," Jordan told her.

Lydia nodded. "Dead Chimeras."

"So, we're both harbingers of death?" Jordan asked. "I should probably add that to my resume."

Lydia chuckled. "It's on my college applications."

"Doesn't that make Angel one, too?" Jordan asked.

Lydia was confused. "I don't know."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Liam and Natalie were standing at the windows, looking outside.

Macey was working over Hayden.

Ari stood on the other side of the table as her.

Macey looked at Ari. "Where's Adriana?"

"I don't know," Ari told her. "I haven't been able to get ahold of her since yesterday."

"Ari, are you okay?" Macey asked.

"Yeah, I will be, when no one ever asks me that again," Ari told her.

Macey was confused and concerned.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Main Room

Scott and Tara had fallen asleep together in the chairs they had been sitting in.

Theo stood nearby, watching them, smirking, walking out, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

On the Road

Adriana had parked her car next to the broken down Jeep, Stiles, Stacie and Malia.

They watched the Jeep being towed away, looking at each other sadly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Adriana's Car

Adriana was in the driver's seat.

Malia was in the passenger seat.

Stacie and Stiles were in the backseat.

"Can they fix it?" Stacie asked.

"There's not enough duct tape in the world to fix that thing," Stiles told them.

"I don't care, Stiles," Stacie told him. "We've had that thing forever. It was Mom's, and she wanted you to have it. And I'm not about to lose it, even if it means helping repair it using something other than duct tape. Whatever it takes."

"Can we talk about what we just told you, please?" Adriana asked.

"About the Dread Doctors being the ones that took you instead of the wolves and Theo being with them this entire time?" Stiles asked. "Yeah, sure, Adriana, let's talk about how they used you to get to us."

"This isn't Adriana's fault, Stiles," Malia told him.

"I know it's not," Stiles told them. "It's everybody's fault, because we didn't see this coming. Even though I told you something like this was going to happen."

"What do you want me to say, Stiles?" Adriana asked. "I screwed up. Yes. I let myself get used. Yes. I put everyone in danger from ghosts from my past that I didn't even know I had. Yes. But we can do something about this. Where are Scott and Ari now? Or Tara and Natalie or anybody?"

"I don't know, but they're not answering their phones," Stacie told them.

"Yeah, I know that, Stacie," Adriana told her. "I've been trying to call them since yesterday."

"We need to talk to the Sheriff," Malia told them. "Maybe he'll know what to do."

Adriana nodded. "At least I know where he is."

Adriana drove toward the station.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Station - Cells

Lydia was sitting outside of the cell.

Jordan was sitting on his bed inside the cell. "Does it help knowing? Knowing what you are?"

"It doesn't scare me as much," Lydia told him. "That I know. Do I scare you?"

"Once," Jordan answered.

Lydia looked at him in surprise. "Really?"

Jordan stood, walking closer to the bars.

Lydia stood to face him.

"It was the night that I found that Werewolf, the one with the talons," Jordan told her. Lydia nodded. "I thought I was going to die that night."

"How come?" Lydia asked.

"Because I saw you," Jordan answered. "I saw the Banshee. But I guess it was just a dream or a hallucination."

"What was I doing?" Lydia asked.

"Trying to keep me alive," Jordan answered.

"Well, sorry, but the Banshee was mostly trying to stay out of the rain," Lydia told him. They smiled small smiles. "That was the night of the storm, remember?"

Jordan nodded. "The night of Angel's 18th birthday." Lydia frowned in confusion, hearing the sounds of growling and fighting. "Lydia? What is it?"

"I need to go," Lydia told him. "I'll be back. I promise. Just don't go anywhere." Jordan gave her a seriously? look. Lydia tilted her head. "You know what I mean."

Lydia walked out, leaving.

Jordan watched her go in confusion.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Macey was working over Hayden.

Scott, Tara, Liam, Natalie and Ari stood around them.

"It's not working, is it?" Liam asked.

"She should be showing signs of improvement," Macey told them. Hayden took Macey's hand weakly. "Hayden?"

Hayden gasped quietly for breath. "Call Val. My sister, Valerie."

"She's a Deputy," Natalie told them.

"I think I might know where she is," Ari told them. "Theo just texted me about the high school. He said there's cops everywhere. Might be another Chimera."

"Um, my sister," Hayden told them. "I don't want to die without my sister."

"I'll get her," Ari told them, turning toward the door.

"Wait," Scott told her. Ari stopped. "What are you going to tell her?"

"If I have to, I'll tell her everything," Ari answered.

Scott nodded.

Ari walked out, leaving.

Macey looked at the others. "She's not okay, is she?"

Tara shook her head. "No, she's not. We don't know what's wrong with her, but she's been acting like this ever since the Dread Doctors got a hold of her."

"Do you know how to help her?" Macey asked.

"No, we don't," Natalie answered sadly in regret. "I'm sorry, Macey."

Hayden moaned in pain turning slightly, barely able to move.

Tara took Hayden's hand, taking her pain. Black veins trailed from her arm to Tara's.

Hayden slowly relaxed, no longer in pain for the time being.

Angel and Jordan's House - Living Room

Angel was going through the house to look for something, anything. She found the old recordings of her mother's books, recorded in her mother's voice, going through them. She found two of the cases had a double infinity symbol on the binding, taking them out. She saw that there were a post-it on them from Jordan.

These just came in the mail, the books that you ordered by your mom. I hope they help

--Jordan

Angel found the recording player, putting the first book recording into the player, sitting down, hitting play, sighing when she heard her mother's voice, nostalgic, overwhelmed and confused.

Amelia: (on recording) "'Woden's Hunt', also known as 'The Wild Ride' or 'The Wild Hunt'. A myth of devilish riders in the sky accompanied by black dogs spectral beasts whose eyes glowed with fire. A Bearer of Death and Guardian of the Supernatural, the black dog is also known by its more common name... 'The Hellhound'."

Angel was processing, not knowing what to make of that, leaning closer, listening intently.

Amelia: (on recording) "The Nordic variation sees the gods on boars riding alongside wolves. They visit battlefields to find warriors who didn't die a clean death in battle. The Valkyries appear to take them to hunt where hey ride eternal next to the hounds and wolves."

Angel sat back unable to blink, taking that in. She took the book recording out, putting the second one in, hitting play.

Amelia: (on recording) "Valkyries are born of Ravens and Hellhounds. They have immunity that most creatures never dream but all connected elementally. They are women of war and death, but also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty with eyes that glow a fiery gold and have a bird's eye view of everything around them, able to sense when things are good when things are bad, or when things are disastrous."

Angel hit stop, not knowing how to take in all of that. She stood, walking out quickly, leaving.

Sheriff's Station - Cells

Jordan was asleep on his bed, having a dream about himself taking a body to the Nemeton.

Main Room

Stiles, Stacie and Adriana were talking to a Deputy.

"Sheriff left half an hour ago," the Deputy told them. "He said he was on his way back."

"Okay, thanks," Stiles told him. "We'll just wait in his office."

Stiles, Stacie and Adriana walked into the office.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Office

Stiles, Stacie and Adriana were trying to call Scott and Ari again.

"Okay, I get why they're ignoring the two of you, but why are they ignoring me?" Adriana asked.

"I don't think they're ignoring anyone," Stacie told her. "I think something's wrong."

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Macey drew blood from Hayden.

Scott, Tara, Liam and Natalie were still with them.

Gray spots had begun appeared on Hayden's skin.

"It's on her neck, too," Tara told them.

"She's getting worse, isn't she?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah," Macey answered. "Which is why we're taking her to the hospital."

"How's that going to help?" Liam asked.

"We're in an animal clinic, and I need equipment designed for humans," Macey told them. "I said that we're going to take her to the hospital. I didn't say we're going through the front door."

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Lydia walked into the library, looking around in confusion, being drawn in by her Banshee powers. She looked forward in a daze, gazing off.

She could hear groaning and growling and fighting.

She could hear Scott's voice. "I can't let you kill me."

Lydia continued to listen to the sounds of fighting and roars.

Theo appeared behind her. "You know what's coming." Lydia gasped, turning to face him. "Don't you?"

"Someone's going to die here," Lydia told him.

Theo smirked. "You're right. But I can't let you tell anyone."

"Why?" Lydia asked.

"Because I want you, Lydia," Theo answered. "I want all of you. And believe it or not, this also has to do with protecting Adriana, even if it means hurting everyone else."

Lydia looked at him in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Theo smirked. "Don't worry. I'll give you some time to think about it."

Theo backhand punched Lydia in the face hard enough to make her fall unconscious, looking down at her unconscious form.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Natalie ran through the hallway up to Melissa. "Melissa, Melissa!"

"What is it, Natalie?" Melissa asked.

"Scott, Tara, Liam and Macey are bringing in Hayden, and we need your help to keep her alive," Natalie answered.

"All right," Melissa told her. "I'll help you. Where are they?"

"They're sneaking Hayden in," Natalie answered. "Can you find them a room?"

"Absolutely," Melissa answered. "I'll be right back."

Natalie nodded.

She heard a voice, confused. "Natalie."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Operating Room

Natalie walked in, seeing Theo, looking at him in confusion. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you," Theo answered.

"To me?" Natalie repeated. "How did you even know I was here?"

"Scott said that you were moving Hayden to the hospital," Theo told her. "But Hayden's still a Chimera, and so is Chayton, and there's one more we haven't found yet. They're still dangerous. They need help. They need you. I need you to see this."

Theo led Natalie to the closet of the operating room, opening the door.

Natalie saw that Chayton was laying unconscious on the floor, walking into the closet worriedly, kneeling next to him, looking up at Theo. "What happened to him?"

"He's still alive," Theo told her. "He's lucky that I'm the one that found him and not the Dread Doctors."

"What did you do to him?" Natalie asked.

"What I had to do to calm him down," Theo answered.

Natalie looked around, seeing a line of Mountain Ash circling the entire edge of the closet, turning around.

Theo closed the circle of Mountain Ash at the doorway.

Natalie stood, looking at Theo in confusion, angry. "What the hell?"

Theo took out a miniature cellphone jammer from his pocket. "Did you know that I've had this on me since last night? It's why no one could reach Scott, Ari, Liam or Tara... or you, Natalie. I have one more." He put the jammer on the table outside the closet. "This one stays here so you can't call for help."

"What the hell is this?" Natalie asked.

"I know about your problem with confined spaces, Natalie," Theo told her. "About what your father used to do to you and your brother. And I know that if you're trapped in small spaces, you lose control. And if you lose control on the supermoon, if you lose control tonight, you're not gonna be able to get it back. I'll give you some time to think about that."

Theo closed the door of the closet, smirking.

Natalie ran closer angrily, trying to get the door open, but it was locked from the other side, and she couldn't break it down because of the Mountain Ash. She was frantic and worried, knowing that she couldn't be stuck in here for long without losing control because of the supermoon. "No! No! Let me out! Let me out!"

Theo smirked, walking away.

Sheriff's Station

Angel walked into the station, trying to tell Jordan that she had figured it out.

The alarm was going off. Lights were flashing.

Deputies were bustling around.

Stiles, Stacie and Adriana walked out of Sheriff's office.

"Hey, what's going on?" a man asked. "Did somebody pull the fire alarm?"

Angel stood next to Stiles, Stacie and Adriana, looking around in confusion.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Cells

Jordan stood at the bars of the cell. His eyes were glowing with fire. He grabbed the bars with both hands, letting them both glow red hot. He pulled and pulled at the bars, bending them apart.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Ari walked into the school, seeing the piece of broken Beacon Hills High School sign in the middle of the school hallway. She got a text from Lydia.

Meet me in the library.

Ari walked away down the hallway.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Sheriff's Station

Jordan walked into the main room of the station, in a complete daze, unaware of what was going on.

Deputies drew their guns, aiming at Jordan.

"What the hell?" a Deputy asked.

Stiles, Stacie, Angel and Adriana stood in front of the Deputies, raising their arms toward them to stop them.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Stacie told them.

"Don't shoot!" Angel told them. "Don't shoot."

"Get back," Stiles told them.

"Get out of his way," Adriana told them.

They made the Deputies back out of Jordan's away.

Jordan walked out, leaving.

Stiles, Stacie, Angel and Adriana exchanged a look, following Jordan.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Ari walked in, but she didn't see anyone, not even Lydia. She walked in further, looking around, calling Lydia's phone.

Lydia's phone started to ring.

Ari walked in further, seeing the phone in the bookshelf, walking closer, hanging up. She looked around, seeing a line of Mountain Ash circling the entire library. She backed away out of the shelves, turning around.

Theo was right in front of her.

"Theo?" Ari asked. "What the hell is going on?"

"You're going to do me a favor, and you're not going to have a choice in the matter," Theo told her.

"What are you talking about?" Ari asked.

"Someone's going to die here," Theo told her. "And you have to make sure that it's not going to be you."

"What?" Ari asked.

Theo pulled out a tranq gun, shooting Ari in the stomach, making her groan in pain.

Ari felt the tranq moving quickly through her body, already making her weak. She pulled the tranq out, starting to breathe heavily, falling to her knees.

"Sorry, Ari," Theo told her. "But don't worry. That's not going to kill you. Yet. But when you wake up, your guard is going to be down and you won't be able to control yourself on the supermoon. Which means you're going to do everything you can to kill anything you can get your hands on."

Theo took out another tranq, injecting it into Ari's neck.

Ari gasped in pain. The irises of her eyes glowed purple for a brief moment. She fell unconscious.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Elevator

Scott, Macey, Tara and Liam took Hayden up the elevator in a wheelchair.

Hayden was still barely staying awake, moaning in pain.

Black blood started to backwash into the intravenous bag.

"What's happening?" Scott asked.

"I'm not sure," Macey told them. "But it's definitely not good."

Hayden looked up weakly. "My sister."

"Ari's out looking for her right now," Tara told her. "She's going to bring her here as soon as she can, all right?"

Hayden groaned in pain, turning slightly.

Tara took Hayden's hand, taking her pain again.

"Natalie's been gone a while," Liam told them. "She went to get Melissa."

Macey looked at Scott. "I need you to go find Ari and see what's taking her so long."

Scott nodded.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Operation Room - Closet

Natalie and Chayton were in the closet.

Chayton was still unconscious on the floor.

Natalie was still trapped by the Mountain Ash, leaning back against the wall, closing her eyes, trying everything she could to keep control, because if she didn't, she was going to attack Chayton and try to kill him. She was flashing back to all of the times that her father had locked her in the freezer, or when she had been in the vault with Boyd and Cora, or trapped in the elevator with Derek and Jennifer. She was doing everything she could to hold on.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Scott walked in. He found Ari's unconscious body on the floor, running closer worriedly, kneeling next to her. "Ari? Ari!" He couldn't wake her up. He heard something behind him, turning around. Theo closed the circle of Mountain Ash surrounding the library at the doorway. Scott looked at him in shock. "That's not possible."

"You're right," Theo told him. "A Werewolf shouldn't even be able to touch Mountain Ash."

"You're a Chimera," Scott realized.

"I'm the first Chimera," Theo answered. "It's the coyote part you don't notice. It's why, other than Adriana, Malia trusted me first, even though she probably didn't know it. The Dread Doctors came close to realizing their dream with me. But we can't all be perfect. We can't all be True Alphas." Scott stood, running toward the doorway, trying to get out, but the barrier pushed him down to the floor, making him groan in pain. "Damn. I felt that." Theo walked toward a cellphone jammer, turning it on. "No calls, Scott. No Stiles or Stacie, no Tara, no Malia or Angel, no Adriana or Natalie, no Liam or Lydia. You're just going to have to wait here for what happens next."

"What do you mean?" Scott asked angrily. "What's next?"

Theo smirked. "The supermoon. Ari there is going to lose control when she wakes up. And when she does, she's going to kill you."

Scott looked confused and shocked, turning to look at Ari's unconscious body on the floor.

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Surgery Room

Macey, Melissa, Tara and Liam took Hayden into an empty surgery room to help her, lying her on the exam table.

"Shouldn't we be talking to one of the doctors?" Liam asked.

"Liam, I am a doctor," Macey told him. "The only doctor that knows about any of this and the only one that can treat her without exposing all of you, including our children, and creating chaos."

Tara sighed. "Is she dying?"

"Tara, with the amount of mercury in her body right now, she shouldn't even be alive," Macey told her.

They looked at Hayden worriedly.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Library

Ari was still unconscious on the floor.

Scott was pushing against the Mountain Ash barrier, making it glow blue and burn into his skin, groaning in pain. He couldn't cross, backing away, chastising himself. "Come on. You've done this before. You can do it again."

Scott looked at Ari worriedly, noticing that she was starting to stir. He took out the inhaler given to him by Theo the night before, shaking it, taking a hit, putting it into his pocket, taking another run at the barrier. He was repelled halfway across the room. He picked himself up, seeing a storage room, getting an idea, running inside to see that there was a ladder that led to the roof, beginning to climb.

Ari was waken from all the noise, rolling onto her side. She was bathed in the light from the supermoon, completely drawn into it, losing control. She started to shift entirely. The irises of her eyes glowed purple. Her teeth turned to canines and her nails turned to claws. Her nose indented slightly like normal wolves on the full moon. Hair grew on her cheeks. She lost control completely, standing.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Operation Room (Closet)

Natalie had spent all this time trying not to lose control, hanging onto the memory of the vault and Boyd because he had been her anchor when they had been trapped then, and he would be the only thing that could stop her from losing control like this, but he was gone, and her already sketchy control issues were being torn down by claustrophobia and the supermoon. She was trying to use memories of Liam to stay anchored to control, but she finally couldn't take it anymore, screaming in anger and exertion to try to stop herself from turning, but it was too late. She was already lost to the moon, shifting completely. Her eyes started to glow gold. Her teeth turned into canines. Her nails turned into claws. Her nose was indented slightly. Hair grew on her cheeks.

Chayton was woken by her screaming, standing. His control was lost as well due being half-Werewolf and the supermoon.

Natalie turned to face him, growling.

Chayton kicked the door down. He was able to pass the Mountain Ash because he was a Chimera, breaking the seal locking Natalie in the closet.

Natalie glared at Chayton, growling, stalking out of the closet toward him.

Chayton's eyes glowed green. His nails were talons. His teeth were fangs. He growled like a wolf but screeched like a falcon at the same time.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Rooftop

Scott ran out onto the roof, finding that the Mountain Ash barrier extended at least as high as he could reach, still blocking his exit. He hit against the barrier repeatedly in anger. He was struck by another bout of asthma, taking out his inhaler to take a puff, but it didn't seem to help. He yelled in frustration, crushing the inhaler in his hands.

A puff of purple gas curled up from his hand.

Scott looked at the inhaler in realization. "Wolfsbane."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Flashback

Night Before - Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Theo tossed the inhaler to Scott.

Scott caught it.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Now

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Rooftop

Scott realized that he had been weakening himself each time he used the wolfsbane-laced inhaler Theo had given him.

Ari walked out of the school onto the rooftop, completely shifted, growling at Scott monstrously.

Scott turned to face her. "Ari. I know what Theo and the Doctors did to you. But you need to fight it. Okay? I need you to fight it. Ari, you haven't felt the full moon in months. And now it's a supermoon, and it's feeding your anger, and it's making you more aggressive."

Ari roared in uncontrollable anger.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Surgery Room

Macey, Melissa, Liam and Tara stood around Hayden at the table.

The heart monitor was going down, lowering with Hayden's heartbeat.

Melissa took Hayden's hand. "Oh, no, no, no, no."

Tara hung up her phone, looking at them worriedly.

"Tara?" Liam asked. "What's wrong?"

"No one is answering their phones," Tara answered. "I don't know what's going on, but I know something bad is going on out there."

"There is something bad going on right here, Tara," Melissa told her. "Because she's dying, and we don't know what else to do."

They looked at Hayden worriedly.

They suddenly heard growling from further in the hospital, looking toward the door.

"Tara, what was that?" Macey asked.

Liam realized now why she wasn't there with them. "Natalie."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Rooftop

Ari grabbed Scott, pulling at him, kicking him in the stomach, pushing him against the Mountain Ash barrier, making it glow and making it hurt him. Scott pushed Ari off of him, walking closer. Ari tried to punch him twice. Scott caught either of her arms. Ari kneed him in the stomach, trying to punch him.

Scott ducked, twisting her arm behind her back, making Ari face away from him toward the moon. "Hey, Ari, stop. I need you to stop. Please. I don't want to hurt you, but I can't let you hurt me."

Ari was too lost in the transformation, looking at the supermoon ahead of her, growling, headbutting Scott to make him let her go, turning to face him, punching him in the face twice, kicking him back onto the higher part of the roof next to the window leading into the library, growling, running closer, stepping up next to him, slamming him against the roof twice. Scott pushed Ari off of him onto the roof next to him, standing. Ari stood, growling, running toward him, tackling him through the window, making it shatter, and making them both fall to the floor inside the library.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Operation Room

Natalie and Chayton were both shifted, lost to the moon, fighting. Chayton slashed toward her. Natalie caught his arms, growling, turning to push Chayton into the wall. Chayton slashed into her arms, making her let go, flipping Natalie to the floor. Natalie rolled into a crouching position, facing Chayton, growling, standing, running closer, using her arm as a clothesline to make him flip back through the air and fall to the floor, turning to face him, lifting him up. Chayton slashed into her, turning to push Natalie into the wall on one side of the room, spinning to throw her into the other wall, making her fall. Natalie stood. Chayton ran toward her. Natalie kicked him back into the wall behind him, making him fall. Chayton stood, pushing Natalie into the wall, turning around, throwing her to the floor.

Coyote Den

Malia was in the cave where she had lived for so long as a coyote. She picked up her sister's doll from the floor. She remembered the crash that killed her adoptive mother and sister and that her biological mother was the one that killed them.

Braedan walked in. "I thought I would find you in here."

Malia looked at her in confusion, stunned to see her. "Braedan."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Impound Lot

Jordan walked into the impound lot, walking toward a van. He was shirtless, covered in soot.

Stiles, Stacie, Adriana and Angel were following him, keeping their distance, watching him.

Jordan opened the back of a van, opening a cooler in the back to reveal Cory's body. He closed the cooler and the van doors, getting into the van, driving away, leaving.

Stiles, Stacie, Adriana and Angel exchanged a confused look.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Woods

Braedan and Malia walked out of the coyote den into the woods.

"I don't know what's going on around here, but I'm guessing things are bad again," Braedan told her.

"Very," Malia answered.

"Then this is going to sound worse," Braedan told her. "'Cause your plan to kill your mother..."

"She knows," Malia realized.

"Yeah," Braedan answered. "And she's coming. The Desert Wolf knows you're alive. And she's coming back to Beacon Hills."

Malia sighed.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Impound Lot

Stacie, Stiles, Adriana and Angel were trying to call their friends, but no one was picking up.

Theo pulled up in his truck, pulling over, getting out, walking closer.

They glared at him.

"I see you're all caught up on Adriana's memories," Theo told them.

"You lied," Adriana told him. She walked toward Theo angrily. "You lied about everything." She pushed Theo in the chest forcefully angrily, making him back away. "I remember everything."

"I'm betting not everything," Theo told her. "The Doctors told me that you would start to remember by the supermoon. You'll remember everything in time, but not by the end of the night."

"This is why you tried to talk me out of reading the book," Adriana told him. "So I wouldn't remember."

"They didn't want you to remember because they knew that you would put a little stint in their plans," Theo told her. "Why do you think that they sent that guy after you and Ari the night of Senior Scribe? Or the guy in Sinema? Why do you think they've tried to kill you repeatedly since then, Adriana?"

Adriana looked at him in angered, betrayed hurt. "You knew everything through everything."

Theo shook his head. "Not everything. Just enough."

"Why the hell isn't anyone answering their phones?" Stiles asked angrily.

"Lydia's passed out somewhere, Natalie and Chayton are fighting at the hospital, Liam and Tara are at Hayden's dying beside, and Scott and Ari are fighting for their lives," Theo answered.

They looked at Theo angrily in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" Stacie asked.

Theo smirked. "Looks like it's just the four of us in this, Stacie."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Ari threw Scott head first into a table, growling, turning around, pushing him into the wall, punching him twice, turning around, throwing him over a table to the floor, growling. Scott groaned in pain, starting to stand. Ari jumped onto the table, grabbing a chair on the table, jumping down to break it over Scott's head with extra strength, making the chair fall into splinters and Scott fall to the floor. She grabbed him by his shoulders, slamming his head against the floor twice, wrapping an arm around his throat, strangling him. Scott stood, backing them into a table behind them, elbowing Ari to make her let go, turning to face her, trying to hold her off. Ari grabbed him, throwing him over another table, making him fall to the floor on the other side nearby the steps. She leaped over the table toward him. Scott kicked Ari back over the table, making her roll to the floor.

Scott stood. "Don't do this, Ari." Ari pushed herself up, growling. "I can't let you kill me."

Scott breathed heavily, turning to face the wall of windows behind him to look outside toward the supermoon. He gave in only enough to let himself transform, but not enough to let himself lose control, turning to face Ari.

Ari stood, roaring.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Impound Lot

Theo was circling around Stiles, Stacie, Adriana and Angel. "I never lied about why I came to Beacon Hills. I'm here for a pack. I came for the Werecoyote, the one whose first instinct is to kill." Malia. "I came for the Banshee, the girl surrounded by death." Lydia. "I came for the dark Kitsune." Kira. "The hard to control bitten Beta." Liam. "The Beta with anger issues." Natalie. "The born Beta from a long line of Werewolves." Tara. "I came for Void!Stiles and Void!Stacie, the anchor who decided not to be a victim anymore. I came for the half-breeds, the Werewolves stronger than Alphas." Ari and Adriana. "I came for the Valkyrie the woman of war." Angel. "That's the pack I want. Unfortunately, it doesn't include Scott." Theo looked at Angel, chuckling. "But you... you didn't know what you were until just recently, did you? You don't seem very surprised when I say the word, 'Valkyrie'. You must've found out just today." Angel didn't answer, glaring. "The Valkyrie named Angel." Theo chuckled at the irony. "Personality wise aside, you couldn't have a name more contradicting. The Valkyrie is born of Raven and Hellhound. Just like your uncle. You have no idea what either of you are capable of. You have no idea the kind of power that you both have."

"You knew," Angel told him angrily. "This whole time, you knew what I was."

Theo nodded. He looked at Adriana. "You may not believe me, Adri, but I'm not just doing all of this for a pack. I'm doing this for you, too." Adriana didn't believe him, glaring angrily. "Adriana, when you were an Alpha, and as far away from Ari as you could be, you were darker than any of us. And Ari was as pure as she could be, even though she may have had a dark side and you had a light side when you were around each other, which was more than not because the Alpha Pack used you to spy on her for a year before you officially came back to Beacon Hills. But when you're balanced, like you are now, then you're both in the middle. But what happens if someone knocks that off balance?"

"What did you do?" Stacie asked.

"Not what I did, Stacie," Theo told her. "What the Doctors did. When they got a hold of Ari outside of Eichen all those months ago, they injected her with liquid hecatolite." Adriana looked at him in shock. Stacie and Stiles took a deep breath. Angel looked at them in confusion. Theo looked at Angel. "You might not know what that is, Angel, but they do. That's what the Alpha Pack used to make sure that Boyd, Cora and Natalie didn't transform while they were in the vault. Wasn't it, Adri? Stacie, why don't you tell Angel what happened to Natalie and the other two after that?"

"Natalie, Boyd and Cora didn't feel the full moon in months," Stacie told her. "It made them more vicious, more out of control. It kept them from shifting for three full moons, diminishing their tolerance to it. They were stronger, more savage, more bloodthirsty."

"And that's what the Doctors injected Ari with," Theo told them. "And I gave her the cure to get the hecatolite out of her system this afternoon. She hasn't felt the full moon in months, and tonight's the supermoon. It's making everything worse. How do you think she's doing right now? Trapped with Scott with no way out for either of them?" Stiles, Stacie, Adriana and Angel looked at Theo in horrified anger. Adriana was barely controlling her anger, clenching her fists. Theo listened to the sound of Adriana's rising heartbeat, smirking, all too amused. "Your heartbeat is rising, Adri. And it's not because you're afraid. And even though you're overwhelmingly angry, you have been trying to keep yourself from tracing the tattoo that represents you and me, because of what you just found out. You've been out of the Alpha Pack for almost a year, Adriana, and you've long since gained your redemption, but you've still got more blood on your hands than any of us."

Adriana glared at him furiously. "I'm about to get more."

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Operation Room

Natalie tried to slash into Chayton repeatedly. Chayton ducked each time, spinning behind Natalie, kicking her in the leg, making her fall to the floor. Natalie kicked him in the stomach, making him fall back into the wall standing, growling, running toward him, grabbing him, spinning him around. Chayton grabbed Natalie by her arms, throwing her to the floor. Natalie landed on her stomach, looking toward him, growling, standing, grabbing a chair, roaring, swinging it toward him. Chayton flew over the chair to make her miss, landing soundly on his feet on the floor next to her. Natalie lowered her hands to her sides, roaring in uncontrollable anger. Chayton stood, screeching a growl.

Tara ran inside, pushing Chayton away from Natalie, into the wall.

Liam ran closer. "Natalie! Natalie, stop. Natalie!"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Impound Lot

Theo turned away from Stiles, Stacie, Adriana and Angel. "Stiles, Stacie, I spoke to your dad."

"Did you hurt him?" Stacie asked.

Theo smirked. "I'll tell you where he is." He turned to face Adriana. "And I'll give you a choice. Lydia is somewhere, unconscious, in the Doctors' lair. You can go save her. Or you can go save Scott from Ari. Oh, and should I mention... that the cure to the hecatolite is also a poison for Werewolves? If she doesn't get the cure for the cure, she'll die if she kills Scott or not." Adriana looked at him furiously in betrayal, punching him in the face in rage. Theo laughed, pointing at Adriana. "There she is! That's the Alpha Adriana. The one that didn't put up with anything. The one that did what she wanted. How long have you been holding her back, Adri? It felt good to let her out, didn't it?" Adriana kicked Theo in the stomach, making him double over, grabbing his arm, flipping him to the ground, putting his arm in a leg lock. She had angry, devastated, betrayed tears in her eyes. A needle fell to the round out of reach. Theo looked at Adriana. "You hate me now, but you'll get it eventually. This is the hard part. 'Cause you can't save Scott and Ari and help Lydia."

Adriana tightened the hold she had on his arm, hard enough to break it, making Theo groan in pain. "Where are they?" Angel picked up the needle. Adriana repeated the question in a demanding yell. "Where are they?" Adriana let Theo go, pushing him away, standing, trying not to cry. Theo stood. "Don't make me choose. If you make me choose, I swear to God, I will make you regret this moment."

"I don't doubt it, Adriana," Theo told her. "It won't be that hard to do, because I'm already feeling regret. They're in the school library. You've still got time, Adri. You've still got time."

Adriana looked at Stiles, Stacie and Angel, angry and desperate, torn on what to do.

Angel handed the needle to Adriana. "Go. Adriana, go."

Adriana looked between them, turning around, running away as fast as she could.

Theo watched her go, smirking.

Stacie punched Theo in the face, grabbing him by his jacket. "Tell us where our father is now."

"He's in the basement of the house where the Chimeras were," Theo answered. "Where Parrish was almost killed by Belasko. I hope you two are as fast as Adri is, Stacie."

Stacie pushed Theo against his truck angrily.

Stacie and Stiles looked at Angel. "Angel?"

Angel nodded. "Go." Stacie and Stiles ran away, leaving. Angel glared at Theo angrily, pulling out her phone, making a call. "Mason, get to the school. You'll have to do something for Scott, Ari and Adriana that they can't do themselves."

Theo came up behind her, injecting a needle into her neck, drawing blood, the drug on the needle starting to make her weak. "Sorry, Angel. But lore goes that the Valkyrie chooses who lives and who dies in battle. That they can heal others just as easily as they can kill them. But it all starts with blood."

Whatever drug was on the needle made Angel weak until she fell unconscious.

Theo looked at her blood in the needle, smirking, turning around, walking away, leaving Angel unconscious on the ground.

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Scott jumped up onto a table, flipping into the air toward the balcony, landing there to stay away from Ari.

Ari glared at him, breathing heavily, growling quietly, stalking toward the stairs.

"They're using you, Ari," Scott told her. "They want you to be an Alpha. If you're an Alpha, then the balance between you and Adriana is broken, and one of you will go evil while one of you go completely good. And they want me dead. That's why they want you to kill me. Listen to me, please." Ari walked closer to him. Scott roared to try to bring her out of it, but he was weaker from the wolfsbane. "Ari!"

It didn't have any effect.

Ari growled, running toward Scott, slashing toward him. Scott ducked. Ari kicked him in the stomach. Scott kicked Ari in the side, trying to punch her. Ari ducked, running toward him, grabbing him, pushing him against the shelves, turning around, pushing him into the balcony railing. Scott stood, trying to punch her. Ari ducked. Scott grabbed Ari from behind to try to restrain her. Ari made them back into the shelves, making him let go, grabbing him by his arms, flipping him down the stairs, making him roll into the wall. Ari growled, jumping down all of the stairs in one leap, trying to punch Scott. Scott stood, spinning out of the way. Ari ran toward him, tackling him to the floor. Scott made them roll down the steps. Ari stood, grabbing him, pushing him into the stairs, growling. Scott stood, running toward her. Ari ducked, making him flip over her to the table behind her, making the table break.

Hayden was lying on the table.

Macey and Melissa stood with her.

The heart monitor slowed to a stop.

Macey and Melissa looked at each other somberly.

Hayden died. A single tear of mercury slid down her cheek.

Operation Room

Liam and Tara were struggling to keep Chayton and Natalie apart and under control.

"Natalie, stop," Liam told her. "Please, Natalie. Natalie? Natalie!"

Liam and Tara looked at each other, nodding, taking deep breaths, roaring loudly to get through to Chayton and Natalie. "Natalie! Chayton!"

Chayton and Natalie finally stopped fighting. They returned to normal, looking confused and in shock.

"Tara?" Chayton asked. "Tara, what's happening?"

Natalie was breathing heavily. "Liam? Tara? What did we do, Tara?"

Liam pulled Natalie into his arms. "It's okay, Natalie. We're okay."

Chayton shook his head. "No. No, it's not. I can't believe..." He looked at Natalie in regret. "Natalie, I'm so sorry."

"Me, too," Natalie told him.

"I can't be here," Chayton told them. "I shouldn't be."

Chayton walked out, leaving.

Tara followed him. "Chayton, wait."

Hallway

Tara walked out into the hallway.

Dread Doctor 1 had appeared in front of Chayton, driving his cane into Chayton's heart.

Tara was horrified and in shock. "No!"

Tara ran closer.

Dread Doctor 1 took the cane from Chayton's chest, letting him fall, fading in and out of focus, disappearing.

Tara ran to Chayton's side, kneeling next to him.

Natalie and Liam ran out of the operation room to see what had happened, looking at Chayton's body in shock.

Tara looked at them in regret.

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Adriana ran into the school with needle of the cure, running through the hallways toward where she heard fighting in the library. (Slow motion)

Library

Ari pushed Scott to the floor, straddling him, slashing into him repeatedly.

Adriana tried to run inside. "Ari!" She ran into the Mountain Ash barrier, which threw her back down the hallway, into the wall at the end of the hall, making her fall to the floor. "Ari!" Ari was still slashing into Scott. Adriana looked up toward the library. "Ari!"

Ari only stopped when she looked sick, gasping for breath, the poison setting in.

Adriana stood, looking around desperately.

Mason ran up to her, looking at them in confusion. "Adriana, what's going on?"

"Break the seal," Adriana told him. "Break the seal, now!" Mason broke the seal of Mountain Ash. Ari fell to the floor next to Scott, no longer shifted, on the brink of dying. Adriana shook her head, running inside toward them. "Ari! No!" She knelt next to Ari, taking the syringe, raising it above her head, stabbing Ari in the chest with it to inject it into her heart, making her gasp raggedly. "Ari." Ari was still unconscious. Adriana looked from Ari to Scott desperately. "No. No, no, no. Scott!" She knelt between them, taking either of their hands, giving both of them power. Gold veins spread from either of her hands into each of theirs. "You do not get to die on me. Do you understand me? Both of you need to wake up. Wake up. Please."

Mason walked closer, in absolute shock.

Adriana gave power until she felt like she was going to pass out, having to stop, breathing heavily.

(Song:) Ghosts - Banners

Ari and Scott didn't move.

Mason was in shock, not knowing what to do.

Adriana looked at them in denial, starting to cry, still giving them power.

Stiles and Stacie ran inside toward him, looking at him desperately, kneeling on either side of him. (Slow motion)

Stacie took Sheriff's bloodstained hand in hers. "Dad!"

Stiles was overwhelmed, on the verge of breaking. "Stacie... Stacie. I'm so sorry, Stacie."

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Morgue

Hayden and Chayton's bodies were lying on two tables next to each other.

Angel was standing next to them, crying, waiting for her uncle. She heard his approach, turning around.

Jordan was standing there in a trance, his eyes glowing with fire.

Angel turned toward Hayden and Chayton, slowly, barely backing away.

Jordan walked closer, taking Hayden and Chayton's bodies, hauling them over his shoulders, turning around, walking out of the room, leaving.

Angel hesitated for a long moment, crying, starting to follow.

Beacon Hills High School - Library

Ari and Scott were still unconscious.

Adriana kneeling next to them.

Mason was standing nearby.

Natalie, Liam and Tara ran inside. (slow motion)

Natalie hadn't seen yet. "Scott! Ari!" Natalie and Liam stopped in shock. Natalie was disconcerted, devastated. "Oh, my God."

Tara knelt on the other side of Scott. She looked at Adriana in denial, trying to keep herself together. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no."

(Song Ends)

Ari gasped awake.

Adriana crawled closer to her in relief, holding an arm around her. "Ari."

Ari breathed heavily, trying to catch her breath and her memory of what had happened.

Tara was relieved about Ari, but was too consumed in denial and worry and devastation about Scott to do anything else, giving him chest compressions.

"What..." Mason trailed off. "What are you doing? What are you doing?"

"Bringing him back," Tara answered.

"Tara, his--his heart," Mason told her. "He--he hasn't had a pulse in over 15 minutes. Tara, you can't bring someone back that--"

"He's not someone," Tara told them. "He's Scott. And he's an Alpha. And he's too strong to die like this!" Ari looked at the blood staining her hands, horrified, in shock. She started to cry. Tara looked at Adriana and Ari. "Give him power. Give him power! Please."

"Tara..." Adriana trailed off. "I already tried that, Tara."

"Try again, Adriana," Tara told her. "Adriana, try again!"

Ari took Scott's hand, giving him power, crying. "I can't let him die, Adri. I--I--I can't kill him. I--I--I can't. Adri, help me. Adri, we have to bring him back."

Ari and Adriana both held either of Scott's hands, giving him power.

Natalie started to cry, turning away into Liam's arms.

Liam held Natalie in his arms, looking shocked and horrified, in denial. "Natalie..."

Tara was breathing heavily in denial, devastation, trying to keep a control over her emotions, angry, refusing to accept that this was the end. "Come on. Open your eyes and look at me, okay? Come on. Breathe, Scott. Breathe."

"Tara, it's--" Mason started.

"Shut up!" Tara told him. "He's too strong to die like this." She breathed for Scott. Ari and Adriana continued to give him power. Natalie slowly walked toward Tara to stand behind her. "Come on. You can do this. You're an Alpha. Come on, Scott."

Natalie took a deep breath of realization. "Roar." They looked at her. "Come on. If anyone is going to bring him back to life, it is the people that are in this room right now. Roar."

Tara let her eyes start to glow blue, raising her arms over her head, slamming her hands against Scott's chest, looking toward the ceiling, roaring loudly in angry, devastated denial.

Liam and Natalie let their eyes glow gold. They looked toward the ceiling, roaring.

Ari let the irises her eyes glow purple. The purple faded away into red.

Adriana let her eyes glow completely purple.

Ari and Adriana looked toward the ceiling, roaring.

They were still roaring, together.

Scott gasped to life, letting his eyes glowing red, roaring loudly.

Mason backed away in surprise.

Scott continued to roar, letting his head fall back into Tara's lap.

Tara sighed in relief, looking up, able to breathe again, holding Scott close, tilting her head against his.

Scott let himself return to normal, looking up at Tara in relieved confusion.

Scott and Tara closed their eyes, breathing heavily.

Dark Laboratory

Lydia was just waking up, groaning in pain, holding her head.

Theo walked toward her. "I'm sorry about all of this, Lydia. The Dread Doctors either want me to kill you to make sure that Adriana loses herself to the darkness inside of her once Ari because an Alpha, or to put you someplace that they can't get to you so that Adri still loses control. Killing you is something that I don't wanna do, because of Adriana. But if I have to hurt others to keep her alive, that's what I'm gonna do, even if Adri hates me for it."

Lydia sat up. "No, no, don't!"

Theo stabbed his claws into the back of Lydia's neck, making her groan in pain. "What do you think, Lydia? Am I doing it right?" He was searching her mind for the Nemeton. "Yes, I see it. I can see it."

Theo took his claws out of her neck.

Preserve

Angel followed Jordan into the Preserve toward the Nemeton, looking around at all the Chimera bodies.

Jordan placed down Hayden and Chayton next to Tracy, Lucas, Cory, Donovan, Joshua and Beth, letting them on the rings of the Nemeton, sitting down next to them. He was set on fire. The fire spread around him and around the Nemeton, around all of the bodies.

Angel watched in devastation, crying.

McCall House - Scott's Room

Scott laid on his bed, leaning against the wall, lost, confused and defeated.

Tara sat next to him, having his hand in hers, trying to deal with how she had acted, how she had felt, when she had seen him like that, like it had been entirely out of her control. And she didn't feel bad or ashamed about it in the least.

"I lost, Tara," Scott told her.

Tara sighed, looking up. "Every leader suffers loss. Sometimes more than you think is bearable. My mom, Talia. Laura. Derek. They were all Alphas, and they all failed in one way or another and they all lost more than I can put into words. There is no right way to being an Alpha, Scott. Everyone has their own ways, and most of the time..."

"They fail?" Scott finished. Tara looked up. "It's different this time, because I lost everyone. Except you, Tara, I lost everyone."

"You'll get them back," Tara told him. "You have to."

"Why would they come back?" Scott asked.

"Because you're their leader," Tara answered. "And even when a leader thinks they have nothing left to give, there's still one thing. Hope. Give them hope."

Scott nodded.

Tara smiled a small smile, lying down next to Scott, leaning her head on his chest.

Scott held her closer. "Tara... You were scared. That I was gone for good."

"I was terrified," Tara told him. "Some say that love makes you weak. That's what I always thought. But I found that it actually makes you stronger." She looked up at Scott. "And that's what we need to do. Make all of us stronger. I'm gonna help you. I'm with you. For better... or for worse."

Scott nodded, starting to fall asleep.

Preserve

Theo dragged Lydia through the woods toward the Nemeton. "Come on, Lydia. Come on." He let go of her arm. Lydia fell to the ground, left in a catatonic state. Theo walked toward the Nemeton and the bodies of the dead Chimeras. "Watch this, Lydia." He took out the needle containing Angel's blood, injecting some of it into Tracy's neck. "You think you lost your mind? Well, watch this."

Tracy was brought back, gasping to life.

Theo injected some of Angel's blood into Cory's neck.

Cory was brought back, gasping to life.

Theo injected some of Angel's blood into Josh's neck.

Josh was brought back, gasping to life.

Theo injected some of Angel's blood into Hayden's neck.

Hayden was brought back, gasping to life.

Theo injected the rest of Angel's blood into Chayton's neck.

Chayton was brought back, gasping to life.

The newly revived Chimeras all stood, looking around in confusion.

"What... what's happening?" Hayden asked.

Tracy looked at Theo. "Who are you?"

"I'm your Alpha," Theo told them. "And all of you... all of you belong to me."

Theo turned around, walking away.

Tracy, Cory, Josh, Hayden and Chayton slowly followed Theo.

Operating Theater

Dread Doctor 1 used his cane to hammer into the wall.

Dread Doctors 2 and 3 helped him tear down the wall.

There was a large painting on the wall. There were three creatures, beasts. One was on fire. One had wings. One was larger than the others, more muscular.

The Dread Doctors spoke together. "La Bete. Le Bete. Le Bete. [The Beast.] Success."
