Mrs Lee pulled Sooyoung in a comforting hug and patted her head, letting her cry out the overwhelmingly sad emotions. The lady - being a mother herself - understood the pain the girl was going through even without knowing a single thing about her loss. 

"Its okay darling. Let it all out. We are there for you."

Mrs Lee comforted the girl while Suhyeok and Min-jae looked around for any zombies. They couldn't let their guard down due to grief and die a slow and painful death in the hands of zombies.

After sometime, Sooyoung had finally calmed down and the sun had started setting. They decided to move into the forest and find a place to rest for the night before continuing their journey to the safe camp.

"Mrs Lee, I think it would be good if one of us can look for some food after we find a safe place for the night."

"Don't worry about that. I have enough food for all of us with me. Just focus on finding a cabin or cottage for us to stay."

Mrs Lee said to Hyunjin who squealed in happiness at the thought of home made food. He increased his pace and looked around carefully.

"Min-jae your boy seems dedicated to fill his stomach."

Mi-jin nudged Min-jae who blushed but pushed her away a little too harshly making her hit Dae-su. The poor boy lost his footing due to the uneven surface and fell in the pile of dry leaves with a painful ankle.

"Oh my gosh ! I am so sorry. Are you fine ? Wait let me help you."

Mi-jin rambled and glared at Min-jae signalling him to help her pull the boy on his uninjured foot. The senior gulped and quickly nodded his head before heading towards Dae-su to help him.

"Wait ! Let me check his ankle first."

Sooyoung said and walked towards the bear boy sitting in the pile of dry leaves. She softly removed his shoe and sock. She touched the swollen ankle then held his foot in a loose grip. She looked at Dae-su before turning to Hari.

"Unnie stuff his mouth with something. We don't want unwanted attention, do we ?"

Hari nodded and walked over to Sooyoung's bag. She looked into it and found a roll of bandages and a clean handkerchief.

"Is this handkerchief fine ?"

"Yes it is clean. I had kept it for severe wounds. You can use it."

Hari stuffed the handkerchief in Dae-su's mouth and held his head in place. Sooyoung signalled Dae-su that she was going to start.

"I will move your ankle now. Nod then you feel pain, alright ?"

Dae-su nodded his head and closed his eyes shut. Sooyoung started moving his foot making Dae-su let out a muffled scream and nod his head agressively. The girl nodded her head and stood up from her crouching position.

"Don't worry its just twisted. You will get well soon if you don't move it too much. For now I will wrap it tightly with a bandage to support your ankle."

Sooyoung, Mrs Lee, Cheongsan and Wujin stayed with Dae-su while the others went to look. Sooyoung tied up Dae-su's ankle and help him stand up along with Wujin.

"I think they found a safe place."

Mrs Lee said when she saw Hyunjin running to his direction happily.

"Auntie we found a hut nearby ! Lets go ! I am so hungry."

Mrs Lee just chuckled and followed Hyunjin along with the four students. After walking for about 5 minutes, they could figure out a hut like structure in the dark.

Hyunjin opened the door of the cottage and let them inside the old place. Sooyoung and Wujin made Dae-su sit on an old bed in the hut and walked out of the room to the living area.

"We cannot switch on the lights until and unless we cover the windows."

Hyo-ryung pointed out worriedly and looked at Onjo and Namra for help.

"Lets cover the windows with the curtains I have in my bag."

Sooyoung said and pulled out a set of neatly folded curtains. The covered the windows with 3 curtains and left 5 to protect themselves from cold.

"I think this should be good enough."

They then went into the room where they had put Dae-su. Mrs Lee settled down and took off her bag. She then took out 3 buckets of chicken and 2 boxes of rice and kimchi.

"Oh my god !"

Both Hyunjin and Dae-su squealed at the sight of the food.

"Fill yourselves up, children."

The students enjoyed the food in the light of a torch while gossiping with each other and Mrs Lee.

"By the way, mom ?"

"Hmm"

"Why do you have so much food with you ?"

"I was going to deliver these food items but the zombie thing happened in between. I was rushed into the safe camp by some military men."

"And may I ask how did you reach here ?"

"Onjo's father was coming to save her so I insisted on accompanying him. He told me to get the food too since he knew that you all would be hungry."

"He is an angel."

Hari said while sitting between Min-jae and Wujin. The others agreed while devouring the delicious chicken within no time.

"We don't want to let our guard down. So lets take turns to patrol while staying inbthe house. If we detect anything, everyone will be informed and we will quietly leave the place immediately."

"Thats a good idea Namra."

"So...who volunteers to do the duty ?"

After 15 minutes of fighting the duty turns were decided.

1st round : Min-jae
2nd round : Sooyoung
3rd round : Cheongsan
4th round : Hyunjin
5th round : Suhyeok
6th round : Namra

"Each round will be of 1.5 hours. We will leave for the safe camp at 6 in the morning. Is that fine with everyone ?"

Hari asked earning nods from everyone.

"Okay then lets sleep and Min-jae stay alert."

Min-jae nodded while the others tried to get some sleep which was not very difficult since they were tired after all the running they had to do.

...

Something different that came in my mind. I just hope that this does not take a boring turn. Anyways let me know you thoughts about this chapter.
