Part 9

"Look like you just walked out of hell," Yasmine says as she bumps her shoulder into mine. I just continue walking not having enough energy to bitch fight with her today. Luckily I only have one hour left before I can finally go home and maybe look for another apartment.

"Ari, you're just in time." Mister Holin says as I enter his classroom. "So everyone last time we ended on-" his voice fades away as I stare at the outside. No one is out only some grown-ups who walk their dogs or are taking a run.

A woman in a white shirt with a black hoodie over it, AirPods in her ears and her dark curls in a tight up-do.

A man probably working on a gig with 4 dogs on a leash as he almost gets dragged by them.

A boy with a dark hoodie, blue jeans and an umbrella that covers his eyes. He lifts the umbrella and I see Felix staring at me with a small smirk on his face as he gives me a small wink. "Miss Vorendol please focus." Mister Holin warns me as I turn to face him but my thoughts keep thinking about Felix, wondering if he's still staring at me.

Class' over and I quickly grab my stuff as I need to get back as soon as possible since it could start raining again.

"Hey Ari, didn't know you were going to this school." He says keeping on the same smirk he had before. "Leave me alone, please." I walk away but get grabbed by him the moment I set my first step. "There is still something I need to tell you." I struggle again and now there is no sign of Hoseok since he's probably home. He lifts me over his shoulder and drags me with him and somehow there is no one on the street I can shout for help too. So I give up but still struggle.

I give up he's been walking the same direction for I don't know how long and since he apparently doesn't get tired, I do. "How long has it been?" I ask still on his shoulder. "15 minutes." I sigh just wanting to be home and hoping that somebody noticed my disappearance, but that's highly unlikely since it's only been 15 minutes. "Where are we going?" "You'll know." He says dryly.

How long has it been 30 minutes are we there yet yes just a few met steps as he says that I turn to look behind me to see a big abandoned house almost like a villa only very old and some bricks have a crack while there are also a lot of green growing on the walls making it more beautiful than it is but also making it more ancient.

He puts me down and drags me inside before I can get even sort out my thoughts.

The inside looks very different from the outside as though it's had a whole shiny makeover. "What is this?" "My home, but also the home of others." "Like an orphanage?" "Yes and no." He says without caring to explain. "I do have something to confess." I nod while half-listening and half thinking of a way to get out of here. "That note in your locker I wrote it." Wait, what? "Why? what? How?" I say confused AF since I don't know him how did he know my locker and why did he write that message in the first place? "Calm down, breathe slowly." He says while he mimics what I should do I mimic him. "Okay good." "Sorry, that happens something." "I'm sure you have a lot of questions." He says trying talk slow and steady. "Well start," I say waiting for answers. "I can't give them to you now." Okay, he's irritating me. I turn to walk away being done with this shit, but he grabs me before again I can really walk away. "What?" I snap, "just look around, maybe after I'll tell you. I and a lot of other people live here for all outlive." I want to look around and know what's going on, but something tells me that, that's something I need to leave alone and die in the dark.

"Okay," I say knowing I'll probably regret it if I don't do it. "Okay, then I'll let you explore." "All alone?" "Sorry, did you want me to go with you?" "That's not what I meant." He nods and then again walks away, great. All by myself, don't wanna be all by myself anymore. That song is gonna stay stuck in my head the whole day long. "Hey, Ari!" I hear a familiar voice say. "Jin?" I say seeing the handsome man looking down at me as I'm just so freaking small. "What are you doing here?" "You don't wanna know and I don't wanna tell." He nods a little confused. "Do you live here?" "Yes, why." "Why do you live here?" "Well it's home and my friends and family are here. Well friends that are family to me... I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you sad." "It's okay, but how long have you lived here?" "Almost my whole life. Any more questions detective?" "Yes, what truth is being held from me?" He instantly falls silent. "Is that something you can't or won't answer?" He again is silent. "Jin hyung!" Another boy calls him.

"Yunki?" "Ari, why are you here?" "Long story short Felix." He smiles showing off a gummy smile. I nod and then leave feeling awkward. I look around the other rooms as there empty or filled with beds. "Next move." I hear someone say in another room with the door slightly opened. "We need to attack." "How? There are too many and I've heard they're are here on the surface." "Felix any ideas?" Now they've piqued my interest. "We need to follow them to find out where they live." "Do you already know who it is?" "I know one, but he'll probably lead us to the rest. The problem is he already knows who I am." "Who?" "Hoseok," dead silence is heard and the door suddenly opens. "Ari," Felix says in a deep frightening voice. "Listen," he says his eyes captivating mine while he holds my wrist. "Listen to my voice and forget the whole conversation you just heard."

Fuck, fuck, what do I do? Is this supposed to work? His eyes turn black, not normal black, but a deep never-ending depth. His eyes turn back and I shake my head knowing what I saw, but also not believing it. "Felix?" I ask questioning his identity Is he who he says he is? What is he? Could I make a run for it? If I don't who knows he'll make me stay or he'll hold me captive. "Ari? listen I can clearly see you remember clearly they did something to you. Don't trust Hoseok, believe me, he's dangerous. I know you must be afraid of me now, but I'm not the bad guy." I feel his grip loosen and I make a run for it running through the big hallway seeing the doors like a light at the end of a tunnel. Almost there without noticing I bump into someone's chest. Not saying anything I go past him, but I keep running. "Ari," his voice says making my lookup. "Hoseok?" I grab his hand as he also needs to keep running if we both want to make it out. "come on." He follows me.

"Ari stop no one is following us and we've run for like 10 minutes." He stops me and I think again of what Felix said, but it doesn't stop me from hugging Hoseok. "I saw his eyes," I say knowing it's sounding weird as he wouldn't know what I mean by it. "They were black."
