20; clues?

the bright early morning arrived. heeseungs eyes began to flutter open due to the sun shining through the bedroom window. he yawned and stretched debating wether he should sleep for another five minutes or not.

heeseung picked up his phone checking the time. his eyes widened noticing that he woke up a little later than usual. he slowly sat up while rubbing his eyes.

"jina," he spoke up, "why didn't you wake-" heeseung paused seeing the empty bed, "me..up..." he finished quietly as he looked around the girls room in confusion.

he stood up and scanned the girls once more but he didn't see her anywhere around. heeseung opened the door and heard noises coming from downstairs. he made his way down and entered the kitchen and there he saw jinas aunt cooking.

"oh! heeseung! you guys need to hurry! go wake up jina for me please!" she said in a rush trying to not mess up with her cooking.

heeseungs eyebrow raised as he looked around the kitchen and there was no sign of her, "uh...when i woke up she wasn't in the room.."

aunt luna turned back to heeseung, "she's probably showering then, can you just go and like knock on the bathroom door or something and tell her i said to hurry!"

heeseung nodded as he made his way back up the stairs and knocked on the door of jinas bathroom, "hey jina, your aunt says to hurry..."

silence. there was no response. not even a short "okay" or "mhm".

"j-jina...say something...i don't want to enter the bathroom and you know...accidentally catch you like...you know?" spoke up heeseung as he knocked.

the boy looked down and covered his eyes, "jina! im covering my eyes!" he said as he slowly opened the bathroom door, "jina...your aunt says to hurry.."

silence.

heeseung uncovered his eyes which widened. her bathroom was dark, no items or clothes were on her counter, the shower wasn't running, and it was just empty.

he began to hyperventilate, "j-jina!" he exclaimed as he raced around the house, "jin! this isn't funny!"

heeseungs breathing quickened as he opened every door of the house and not finding  jina anywhere. the panicking boy quickly zoomed down the stairs and into the kitchen, "L-LUNA!"

aunt luna quickly turned to heeseung, "h-heeseung? are you okay?" she questioned in pure worry.

"i-i..I CANT FIND JINA!" he exclaimed as his eyes began to water.

aunt luna's heart dropped listening to those words slip out of heeseung.

"wh-what? h-heeseung! what did you say?"

"i cant find jina!"

in a full quiet classroom niki was dozing off not finishing a quiz that was going to be due any minute. an annoyed bahiyyih stared down her friend from across the room.

the girl quickly finished up her quiz and handed it to the teacher, "thank you.." said the teacher as she collected the girls paper.

bahiyyih nodded and sent the teacher a sweet smile. she turned and began walking down to her desk when she "accidentally" bumped into nikis desk causing him to flinch and awaken.

niki sent bahiyyih an annoyed look, "finish your test" she whispered aggressively as she made her way back to her desk.

niki rolled his eyes and grabbed his pencil filling in the multiple choice bubbles randomly with out a care.

bahiyyih laid her head down and took out her phone. she let out a long sigh feeling worried. she didn't see jina or heeseung today. she was hoping that things were okay after what had happened.

word spread quickly about jake going missing. today the school was full of security guards, policemen, and k-9's. bahiyyih hated how professor minhyuk wasn't taking these matters seriously.

she hated how unprofessional he's handling this. a kid is missing her he's still having classes being held? it didn't sit right with bahiyyih. ever since the night at the library and the discoveries she made, she hasn't been the same and hasn't felt the same about her school.

niki quickly got up from his seat and handed his test over to the teacher. the boy sat back down onto his seat and laid his head down sleeping away. bahiyyih grew concerned since she's never seen niki this tired.

i mean, he does get pretty drowsy in class but she's never seen him this tired. she turned her phone back on and messaged niki; "why are you so tired? did you not sleep last night?"

niki stayed laying down not budging. the girl clicked her tongue and laid her head down.

all of the sudden from outside the classroom the sound of the doors at the front entrance of the school slamming against the walls echoed through out the school.

"MA'AM CALM DOWN!" exclaimed a voice with other voices.

"DONT TELL ME TO FUCKING CALM DOWN!" exclaimed a woman.

bahiyyihs eyes lit up recognizing the voice. students stood up peaking outside the door. niki woke up confused. he eyed bahiyyih and she just shrugged her shoulders.

the two friends squeezed their way between the crowd of students and got a good view of the scene. niki and bahiyyihs eyes widened seeing a distressed aunt luna and a scared heeseung.

"I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT EVER SINCE MY FAMILY CAME TO THIS SCHOOL THINGS STARTED GETTING OUT OF HAND!" exclaimed aunt luna pushing professor minhyuk.

two police men separated the two. professor minhyuk who had confusion and worry plastered all over his face slowly backed away from the woman, "b-but what's going on?! i mean, i have a whole team searching for jake right now!"

"NO! CAUSE MY JINA IS NOW MISSING! JINA IS MISSING! FIRST YOON, THEN JAKE, AND NOW JINA!?"

everyone's eyes widened as began began to whisper and gossip already. bahiyyih and niki both eyed each other. the girls eyes began to water as she began to shake her head, "no...no that can't be true.."

"hiyyih.."

bahiyyih got out of the crowd of students and ran towards aunt luna, "tell me it's not true!" cried bahiyyih as she looked at heeseung and aunt luna.

tears fell out of aunt lunas eyed as she looked at jinas best friend, "sweetie..sh-she wasn't home this morning.."

"EVERYONE! GET BACK TO YOUR CLASSES!" exclaimed security as they walked their way towards the crowds of students pushing them back into their class rooms.

"miss huening, and mister nishimura, please go back to your classroom." ordered professor minhyuk.

"NO! our best friend is missing!" exclaimed niki with pure anger.

"ever since the incident with yoon all you've done was just nothing! now that jina is missing AND jake who is till missing by the way...what are you gonna do huh? sit in your office waiting for something? you should be helping! you didn't even do much for your own son." said bahiyyih with an irritated tone.

the silence in the air was tense. everyone's eyes were wide not expecting such words from bahiyyih.

"you know what, bahiyyih is right...and i'm sorry but i will be pulling her, niki, jungwon, and sunoo out of their classes for today...it's something jina would want!" hissed aunt luna.

professor minhyuk let out a small shaky breath as he made his way into his office and called the teachers of sunoo and jungwon.

"ma'am if you are suspicious about the school grounds we can search. we'd just need a search-"

"go ahead and search the school...you'll find nothing." said professor minhyuk as he closed the door to his office as he eyed down aunt luna and heeseung.

police men began to go seperate ways through out the school.

aunt luna wiped away her tears and gathered bahiyyih, niki, and heeseung, "im so sorry guys...im so sorry.." she sobbed.

the three kids pulled the broken woman into a hug. they all could feel her pain. they knew how much she loved her nieces and nephew. they were the only family that she had.

aunt luna felt like she failed as an aunt. she felt like the whole world was finally caving in on her. loosing yoon, jake, and jina was the end of the line for her.

jungwon and sunoo walked down stairs into the entrance of the school with confusion on their faces, "what's going on?" questioned jungwon.

"j-jina is missing.." said heeseung.

jungwon and sunoos hearts sank. they felt like their lungs were crushed bearing the news of their best friend going missing.

they all made their way out of the school and entered a van, "you guys are staying at my house, i'll be here at the school."

"w-wait what? no...luna...you cant stay...you're part of her family...what if something bad happens to you?" questioned bahiyyih feeling her panic rising up again.

"i need to stay here and make sure that my kids are here...something is wrong...and i feel like it leads up to this school...so i need to stay."

the kids nodded as they entered a school van that would transfer them to the house. they all eyed down their school that they couldn't feel safe in anymore. so much unexplainable things happened, they don't even know if they should call fallen angel academy their second home anymore.

as the kids drove farther and farther away from the school all they could just think about was jina and her siblings. they couldn't believe that jina was now missing and all they could hope was that she was okay.

heeseung had a sickening feeling in his stomach. he knew something wasn't right obviously. he just couldn't understand how jina disappeared without a trace.

heeseung wanted to stay at the school to search for clues or anything that could be related to the sims disappearance, but he knew he had to stay together with his friends.

aunt luna sat in the office of professor minhyuk's with a detective, "when was the last time you saw jina?"

"last night. i picked her up here from the school and brought her home. i told you already." replied luna in annoyance as she began to take out a cigarette.

"sorry luna but...i don't want any smoking in my office." interrupted minhyuk. luna rolled her eyes and cursed under her breath as she put away the cigarette.

"okay well...right now, school is being dismissed so children are going home. once everyone is gone, we will start investigating further through out the school." explained a detective.

luna nodded and stood up, "i will also be searching on my own. i cannot sit and wait."

"but miss-"

"NO!" she exclaimed with outrage, "these children lost their parents, they've been through enough already. i brought them here for a better life. and looks whats happening...they're missing. probably scared for their lives right now. i just want them to have...a normal life. so i am going to start my own finding. you guys never started with yoon, neither jake, and now that jina is missing finally you guys are doing something?..IM TIRED OF WAITING!"

luna stormed out of the office heavily breathing as her vision became blurry. anger and sadness took over her mind. she felt like a horrible person, a horrible aunt.

she promised to keep the kids safe, she promised to keep the kids happy.

and she felt like she failed at that.

once the school was clear luna looked through jina's school schedule and decided to visit each and every classroom. luna made her way to the astrology classroom since it was closer to where she was.

she opened the door and was greeted with the empty classroom. luna scanned through the desks and there she noticed a spot on the corner that had butterfly carvings on the desk. she made her way towards the desk and sat down on it.

she let out a shaky breath as she looked under the cubby and saw crumbled up pieces of papers. she took them out and her eyes began to water seeing that there were papers with nasty messages.

tears fell out of her eyes reading the messages of people calling jina a "monster" or "troubled child" and so much more. aunt luna hated that she never knew about this. she never knew that jina was being bullied and she had wished that she should've just told her.

luna crumbled up the papers and threw them away in the nearest trash can. she made her way out of the classroom with tears still falling out of her eyes still holding onto a piece of paper. she wiped her tears unfolding the paper she was holding which was a drawing from heeseung.

luna opened up the crumbled paper once again and saw the beautiful drawing of butterflies. she appreciated heeseung for always being there for jina.

all of the sudden a cool rush of wind glided across lunas face. she decided to follow the coldness not knowing where it was coming from. luna suddenly stopped in her tracks as she faced a dark and lonely hallway.

she looked up and noticed that she was facing the 'butterfly hall' . luna began to slowly walk towards the hall. her breathing echoed and chills went down her spine. she had a safe...but unsettling feeling about this area. it wasn't the same.

the rest of the school was warm and bright. but this hall seemed abandoned, dark, and lonely.

all of the sudden she turned towards a door that caught her attention. she looked up and there she saw classroom J4.

"guys...this waiting isn't helping..." spoke up bahiyyih as she stared at the fire place slowly burning.

the whole living room was silent. no one said a word. each kid side eyed each other not knowing what to say. bahiyyihs eyes began to water thinking about jina and where she could be.

"i..im sure she's okay..." mumbled jungwon as he fiddled with the zipper of his sweater.

heeseung couldn't help but shut his eyes as he laid on the couch. his forearm covered his eyes and he just laid there silently. he didn't know how to process his emotions during this process.

heeseung didn't feel like crying. he didn't know how to feel. he felt so lost. he never realized how important jina was to him. knowing that she was missing left a pit in his stomach. nothing felt right or real to him anymore.

luna analyzed the cold classroom surrounding her. it was empty, dark, and quiet. she looked around not understanding why this classroom was so different than others.

all of the sudden she started to feel cold and drowsy. hee eyes began to flutter and everything began to become blurry. she felt as if the floor was shaking but she couldn't tell.

luna felt like she was in a dream like state. what ever what was going on with her felt so unreal. all of the sudden she saw a dark figure. this figure was tall and it looked like a male. he was dressed formally and was slowly walking towards her.

luna felt like she couldn't move and all she could hear herself say was, "what's going on? who are you?" she said as she tried focusing her vision by squinting her eyes.

suddenly the mans face became clear and luna couldn't believe her eyes. it was her nephew, jin, "OFFICE!" he screamed loudly as tears were falling out of his eyes.

luna gasped and felt like the force that was holding her still exited out of her body causing her to fall to the ground and in an instant she was knocked out cold.

"guys...i feel like we should go to the school...somethings going on there." spoke up sunoo as he eyed jungwon, niki, and bahiyyih. the four sat in a circle looking outside the window while heeseung was in a deep sleep on the couch.

it was already getting dark outside and they haven't gotten any call from luna or the school.

"maybe we-"

suddenly the four turned towards heeseung who began mumbling under his breath. he looked like he was having a nightmare. they all got up and made their way towards the boy who was sweating and heavily breathing.

"w..where?..." mumbled heeseung.

niki tried shaking heeseung awake, "hey! heeseung! wake up!"

heeseung kept mumbling words under his breath as he began to look even more distressed each second.

"wake him up!" exclaimed bahiyyih in a panic.

"IM TRYING!" exclaimed niki as he kept shaking heeseung.

"where's jina!?" exclaimed heeseung as he stood in the hallway of the house.

suddenly the door that led to the basement/storage room opened slowly.

"follow the cherry blossom..."

suddenly heeseung woke up gasping for air. he felt like he was suffocating in the terrifying dream he had.

"HEESEUNG WHAT THE FUCK!" exclaimed niki in anger but in relief as he hugged him.

"are you okay?!" exclaimed jungwon as his worried eyes scanned heeseungs confused face.

"guys...i think...i think i found a way to find jina." said heeseung as he looked around the house.

"w-what? what do you mean?" questioned sunoo as he raised an eyebrow.

"i don't know...i-i had a dream about her father...a-and i think he was trying to tell me something.." explained heeseung as he got up and grabbed his jacket and beanie.

"wait what?! heeseung that sounds-"

"crazy? yeah i know...but guys...i feel like this is something serious...i rarely get dreams like this so i know it's something. come with me if you want to or not, but i'm finding jina and the others." said heeseung as he put his beanie on and walked down into the hall.

"BUT heeseung this explanation isn't helping...what do you know?" questioned sunoo as he followed, "what more did you see?"

heeseung let out a sigh. he looked down the hall and eyed the door where he was led to in his dream.

"i was here. at the house. it was really dark and cold. i felt so scared and i saw a dark shadow figure. but suddenly that door," said heeseung as he pointed, "opened and there i saw jinas dad. he told me to follow the cherry blossom." he explained.

each kid eyed each other believing heeseungs words. they knew that heeseung rarely got dreams and they knew that this would be urgent. but they all agreed that they were tired of waiting. the principal and police werent taking any sort of action.

they felt like it was their time to do something now.

"what are we waiting for?" questioned niki as he grabbed his jacket, "let's go find the sims." he finished.

the group gathered extra clothing and weapons that could be used, just in case.

"you sure about this heeseung?" questioned jungwon as they stared at the basement door.

heeseung let out a sigh and nodded. he opened the door and they all looked down the dark stairway. sunoo gulped and niki turned on his flashlight.

heeseung took a deep breath in and began to walk down the stairs. jungwon followed behind as well as the others.

they all made it downstairs turning on their flashlights. they began to look around and they all found themselves surrounded by all kinds of antiques and paintings. everything was full of dust and cobwebs.

bahiyyih looked around noticing many paintings of landscapes or portraits.

"spread out...remember...if you see anything related to a cherry blossom...let me know." spoke up heeseung as he observed the crowded basement.

everyone nodded and made their separate ways to look for any clues.

bahiyyih and niki walked deep down into the darkness of the basement. it began getting colder and colder. they stood close trying to not loose each other.

"i haven't seen anything relating to a cherry blossom." mumbled niki as he looked around.

"we need to look closer," said bahiyyih, "maybe we need to..."

the girl flashed her flashlight on a cupboard that was tall. she stayed staring as niki eyed her down raising an eyebrow, "i guess this is the end.." he said as he tried signaling that he wanted to walk back.

"wait." said bahiyyih as she held nikis arm, "look...don't you see? this cupboard is blocking something."

niki looked up and saw what looked like a huge gold frame behind the cupboard.

"help me move this thing a little." asked bahiyyih as she moved to one side. niki nodded making his way to the other side.

"alright on three...one, two, three."

the two began to move the heavy cupboard slightly forwards just so they could see what was hiding behind. once there was an open space, bahiyyih pointed her flashlight at the small gap and her eyes widened.

"woah..." said niki.

"GUYS! I THINK WE FOUND SOMETHING!" exclaimed bahiyyih catching the attention of the others.

heeseung, jungwon, and sunoo began to make their way towards niki and bahiyyih who were far back into the basement.

"of course something would be found over there.." said jungwon in an uncomfortable voice.

"what is it bahiyyih?" questioned heeseung as he looked at the large cupboard.

"help us move this cupboard away, i think this might mean something." she said.

the three other boys went on different sides of the cupboard. they all began to push it away farther and farther until it revealed a very large painting.

"oh my god.." mumbled heeseung under his breath.

his eyes wandered on the giant painting of a cherry blossom.

"look...there's a handle down here." said sunoo as he grabbed it.

"pull it." said jungwon.

sunoo let out a shaky breath and pulled the metal handle that was on the frame of the large painting. there was a clicking sound and all of the sudden the painting began to slowly swing open like a door.

everyone's eyes widened as a gush of wind dashed across their faces. their eyes widened seeing a dark tunnel.

"holy shit.." wheezed niki.
