25; if hes the helper, who's the leader?

jina's pov

my eyes flutter open. i feel extremely cold and alone. i quickly look around and find myself in a dark place. i look down and see that im laying in a pool of water. i sit up and look around.

"hello?" i call out in pure confusion, "heeseung? jake? yoon?" i say but there's no answer. the darkness and the sound of water echoed through out the place and i start to feel unsettled.

i sigh in confusion not remembering what happened. last thing i can just remember is being in the cave with everyone. i can feel worry rise in me. what is going on?

all of the sudden in a distance i can see a red colored light across from me. i squint my eyes to try and get a better look. i slowly get up and walk towards the blinking red light.

i'm getting closer and closer but all of the sudden it disappeared. i look around in confusion my heart drops in an instant. i look farther in the distance and i see a familiar figure.

it can't be. no what is going on? am i dead?

tears begin to fill up my eyes, "d-dad?" i call out hearing my voice crack.

"jina?" calls out the comforting voice that i missed hearing.

my pace quickens and my breathing begins to accelerate. this can't be real. it can't be.

i get closer and closer and all of the sudden i find myself in a tight embrace with a man i never thought that i would see again. tears fill my eyes and sobs start to escape my mouth.

"dad is it really you?" i cry trying to keep myself calm.

i feel his hand caress the top of my head, "y-yes yes...jina it's me.." he said softly as his voice cracked.

"i've missed you so much dad. it's been hell without you. it's been hell." i sob hugging him tighter.

"i'm so sorry my darling. i never wanted this to fall on you and your siblings. never. that's why before i tried not exposing you to family and such." explained dad in a sad tone as he slowly shook his head.

i was about to speak but then interrupted a loud thud from far away caught our attention. i turn and see that dad began to panic.

"listen to me jina you need to snap out of it!" he instructed.

my eyes widen not understanding what's going on. what does he mean that i need to snap out of it.

"wake up! wake up before he gets here! jina! don't loose those stones!"

"d-dad what are you talking about?!" i question in a panic not knowing why all of the sudden my dad is starting to freak out.

"last thing! jina be careful who you trust! it's not just-"

dad disappeared and a sinister giggle echoed through out the place. what is going on? i don't understand what is going on and it's making me lose my mind.

"oh jina...you poor little one. i always forget how much you just...don't know." said a deep voice. at the corner of my eye i see a tall cloaked figure.

my eyes widen and realization hits. this isn't real.

"wh-what do you mean?" i question.

minhyuk came into view, "you are so blinded jina. you, jake, and yoon. you guys can just...really trust anyone huh?" he said as a small scoff escaped his lips.

"look around you," he said as he stepped closer, "think about the people in your everyday life," he said as he slowly pulled out a knife from his sleeve, "it's someone who you'll always-never-expect-it-from."

"yeah! you! i trusted you! i never-"

minhyuk hummed in a sort of frustration as a small chuckle escaped his lips, "i'm just the...helper...in this situation...believe it or not. anyways, thanks for the insight of your location. see you soon. but i am going to need something first..."

his hand lifted up into the air and everything happened in slow motion. i saw his knife getting closer and closer to my chest. my eyes slowly close accepting what was next going to happen.

third person pov...

"JINA!" cried out yoon and everyone who tried reaching the girl who was floating in the air.

her eyes were pearly white with blood coming out of them and her nose. tears fell out of jakes eyes growing frustrated.

yoon got onto jakes shoulders and tried reaching but failed. she looked around and her eyes landed in the water. she took a deep breath and held out both her hands. the water in the cave began to swirl and slowly rise up.

yoon sharply waved her arms towards jina harshly which caused the girl to fall to the ground. jina took a deep breath and her eyes. she slowly sat up and her hand flew to her chest.

"JINA OH MY GOD!" exclaimed yoon as she held her sisters face and observed her.

"h-he's coming...m-minhyuks coming," stuttered jina weakly as she looked around.

"jina sweetie are you okay?" questioned aunt luna in a panic as she made her way to her nieces side.

jina nodded as she hugged her aunt tightly. the girl then looked down at the ground. the words of her father and minhyuk rang through her head. to be careful who to trust. which really began to concern her.

she slowly stood up as heeseung darted towards the girl and helping her up. he began to quickly wipe the blood off her face and nose, "j-jina...what's going on?!"

jina's eyes were wide and she just looked blank. everyone surrounded the girl trying to get her out of whatever trance she was in. she slowly turned to heeseung and looked at everyone else.

"i'm just the helper...believe it or not."

those words of minhyuk replayed in her head over and over again. jina didn't know whether to believe that man or not. he's already done so much she doesn't know what to believe.

"guys, we need to hurry! minhyuk is coming and we cannot let him interrupt this important ritual!" exclaimed yoon as she tightly gripped jinas shoulder.

"okay well we're here, now yoon, what do we need to do?" questioned jake in a hurry as he quickly walked towards the emerald stone that was attached to the wall.

"okay okay, so i remember dad telling me how we need to take this life sto-"

"wait!" exclaimed jina making everyone go silent.

she looked at each and everyone's face. yoon, aunt luna, jake, heeseung, bahiyyih, jungwon, niki, and sunoo. jina couldn't help but just stare. minhyuks words replayed over and over in her head.

"jina, wh-what's wrong?" questioned jake in a worried tone.

"he's not the only one." mumbled jina as she looked around, "he's associated with someone." she whispered still looking at each person.

"jin, what are you talking about?" questioned yoon as she slowly made her way to her sister.

jina slowly stepped away and her hand immediately fell onto the pocket of her pants full of the stones. yoon looked down at her sister in concern.

"jina it's either you say what's going on or we continue with this mission." said jake in slight frustration as he began to make his way towards his sisters.

jina was in a trance. no one knew what was going through her head. her body filled up with goosebumps and she felt so unsettled. she felt so uncomfortable knowing that there is a person that cannot be trusted, within the group.

"what's gotten into you jina?!" questioned yoon in frustration as she slightly pushed her shoulder, "snap out of it!"

jake winced, "don't do that," he hissed looking at yoon and then he turned to his younger sister with soft eyes.

"jina, what's going on? we don't have much time. it's either you say something or we continue on. we're all worried." said jake softly as he had both of his hands on his younger sisters shoulders.

he could tell that something wasn't right. as he looked in jinas eyes he could tell that she knows something. but, it's not going to be revealed so easily.

"there's someone in here," spoke up jina in pure fear, "someone in here that we can't trust." she finished in a shaky voice.

everyone eyed each other in worry, fear, and confusion.

"i didn't want to say because this will mess up the mission. no one's gonna know who to trust. i don't even know who to trust." said jina as she broke out of her trance and looked at her concerned brother.

everyone didn't know what to say or do next. jina's words stunned everyone. she eyed jungwon, niki, sunoo, and bahiyyih down. she didn't feel uncomfortable around them. she knew deep down she could trust them.

"there's no way in hell they could do or know such things. they wouldn't have gone through so much if they knew." thought jina to herself.

jina turned to her left and made eye contact with heeseung.

ever since the beginning jina always felt a safe aura from heeseung. he was always so protective, sweet, and was always there for jina when she was at her lowest.

jina just knew deep down that she could trust heeseung. she felt in her gut that heeseung was fine. she slowly shifted closer to heeseung as she turned to her siblings and aunt.

she felt her shoulder brush against heeseungs arm and she then began to feel like she was disassociating.

all of the sounds around her began to muffle out. she met eyes with a frustrated and impatient yoon, a worried and skeptical jake, and her aunt that had concern and terror plastered on her face.

"somethings not right." jina thought to herself.

but, suddenly jina was taken out of her thoughts by feeling the ground under her beginning to slightly shake.

gasps came out out everyone's mouths as they looked around. yoon winced in frustration, "shit! he's here! jina! give me those stones we need to finish this before he can't get to us!" exclaimed yoon as she rushed towards her sister.

"n-no!" argued jina as she held her pocket, "i'm gonna do it!"

"wh-what?! you don't trust me?!" exclaimed yoon in disbelief.

"i don't know who to believe yoon! i was the one who was told to be careful who to trust!" exclaimed jina in anger.

"a-are you saying that you think i'm helping out that evil man?!" exclaimed yoon in pure anger as she stormed towards jina harshly poking her sisters chest causing jina to slowly walk back.

"i didn't say that!" exclaimed jina, "let me just do it! please!"

"yoon just let her-"

jake was interrupted with a loud bang sound and the ground began to shake aggressively causing everyone to stumble.

"jina! just let your sister do it! she'll know what to do!" cried out aunt luna, "we're running out of time here!"

jina quickly got up to her feet and she grabbed yoons wrist, "trust me." she whispered into yoons ear as she dragged her sister towards the wall where the stones had to be placed.

jina grabbed all the stones in her hand while trying to keep her balance up from the intense shaking ground and loud exploding noises coming from outside the waterfall cave.

"how do we do it yoon?" questioned jina trying to keep her calm.

"gold goes on top!" instructed yoon as she tried moving away the bunched up branches and vines covering the wall.

jina quickly grabbed the gold stone and saw a sort of hole that's the perfect size. she hovered the gold stone over the hole and in an instant the gold stone was pulled into place and began glowing.

yoon quickly moved away another piece of debris and there revealed two other holes that were going down clockwise.

"red and after it's lilac." said yoon as she tried supporting her sister that was almost loosing her balance.

the stones connected immediately but jina looked back with worried plastered on her face as she heard the screams of her friends.

there was a large body of water building up like a wall. everyone's eyes widened as they tried finding a way to escape from the cave.

"y-YOON WHATS NEXT?!" exclaimed jina in frustration.

"WHITE AND ORANGE!" exclaimed yoon as she began to run and started gathering everyone.

the two last stones connected and all of them began to glow brightly. jina's eyes were glowing a green color as she felt herself become in a daze staring at the green light.

"JINA!" exclaimed aunt luna as she harshly grabbed her niece breaking the girl out of her trance.

"WE NEED TO GO NOW!"

all of the sudden the walls around them began to break and crumble. jina pushed off her aunt while yoon was finding ways to get the others out of the situation.

their terrified screams filled the cave and a deep demonic giggle echoed throughout the place.

jina didn't understand what to do next. she began to push away the debris and her eyes suddenly widened seeing three more holes. one that was supposed to go over the gold and two more under the white and lilac stone.

she noticed a triangular pattern and her face scrunched in confusion. other stones are missing.

"JINA!" exclaimed heeseungs voice.

jina turned and met eyes with heeseung. she was about to speak but a very loud explosion sound echoed through the cave and all of the sudden everything went black.

jina's pov..

my eyes begin to flutter open. a sharp pain runs through the side of my head along with a warm thick substance tracing down my head.

everything's so blurry, everything hurts, and everything sounds so muffled.

i try getting myself up but i cant. i feel so weak. but then, the sound of muffled voices fill my ears. i squint my eyes and see two dark figures communicating.

i look to my left and see everyone on the ground passed out. i try getting up but my body fills with pain. my whole body is throbbing and i let out a painful wince.

i feel like i can't breathe. what is going on?

i turn and see that more of the walls of the cave have broken down. my eyes scan the wall and immediate panic fills my body. the stones are gone.

"ah..look who's awake." says a muffled voice as a person begins walking towards me.

i squint my eyes once more and see minhyuks face. anger fills my body and i just want to express how much anger and frustration i am feeling at the moment. but i cant.

i try seeing who the second person is but i cant. my visions still too blurry and i feel extremely dizzy.

"so...what's next?" questions a muffled voice.

i try to concentrate but i can't. i then feel my wrists being grasped tightly causing me to wince. my vision is still blurry but i can clearly see minhyuks face. he has a smirk and he turns.

"help me tie the sims to the sacred stone...and find a way to make the friends watch the event." chuckled minhyuk.

"sure thing." says a familiar voice.

my vision starts to become clear and as soon as the second person comes up to me face to face my heart instantly dropped. i felt like throwing up and my chest filled with an unexplainable pain.
