The lights kept getting closer and the four of them held their breath, however, Charlotte-Mae's was getting quicker and shallower, Jack's hand slowly inched towards the keys in the ignition, the lights shined just in front of the cab and sat there for what felt like forever. The air was tense and the only sound was Charlotte-Mae's quick and shallow breathing, the siblings noticing her panicked breaths, Seth's hand find hers, lacing their fingers together, giving her hand a soft squeeze, suddenly the light vanished. Everyone let out a sigh of relief. Jack immediately turned round to Charlotte-Mae, concern in his eyes,

"Mae?" He asked softly

". . . This is just raising my anxiety" she replied, raising a hand for emphasis

Seth tightened his grip on her hand, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. She dropped her hand into let lap, letting out a slow breath through her lips as she lowered her head slightly. Jack turned around in his seat, cautiously started the car, slowly rolling out of the tunnel, Seth reaching out, moving her curly brown locks away from Charlotte-Mae's face, causing her to look at him. He didn't let go of her hand, looking at her intently, assuring her that everything was going to be okay, making sure she knew that he would protect her as best as he could. As if she were the most valuable person in the world to him.

"Are you sure you are all right?" He asked

"I'm fine" Charlotte-Mae said, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze

The cab continued cruising over the narrow tracks, driving to where the tracks ran over the top of a cliff,

"Is there a safer route Jack Bruno?" Sara asked, nervousness and fear in her voice

"Not unless you know how to fly" Jack replied back

Charlotte-Mae looked out the window into the fog, she could have sworn she saw something move, but didn't say anything as not to alert the siblings but she knew Jack saw it too. Suddenly, the UFO rose from the fog and fired, hitting the back of the cab and sending them into the the side of the bridge. Sara, Seth and Charlotte-Mae screamed as they were tossed and turned around in the cab.

"Jack go!" Charlotte-Mae screamed

Jack stepped on it, speeding over the train tracks as more explosions sounded extremely close to them. Luckily the metal of the bridge deflected most of them, but one explosion got too close and she was flung to the side, right into Seth who, thankfully, had quick reflexes and caught her. Seth held onto her tightly, noticing it that she didn't have a seatbelt on,

"Hold on to me!" He commanded

She gave him a small nod, holding onto his jacket as as she looked out the window. The bridge ended, the cab speeding off down the tracks again, into another tunnel. Charlotte-Mae knew the Siphon wouldn't give up, watching as it followed them through the tunnel,

"Jack!" Charlotte-Mae cried, letting him know they weren't alone

It's blue lights illuminated the entire tunnel and car, the sides of it created sparks on the walls as it was not big enough to completely fit, one of it's guns breaking off because of it.

"Alright, hold it together!" Jack told the teens

Suddenly a loud horn sounded from in front of them.

A train horn.

"Oh, come on!" Jack cried.

"Faster! Faster!" Seth screamed, his grip on Charlotte-Mae tightening

Jack stepped on the pedal,

"It won't go any faster!" He yelled

"Sara!" Charlotte-Mae screamed

Sara whipped out her hand again, watching as the speedometer needle sank and the cab go faster. The end of the tunnel was coming up fast, the needle sank lower still, the cab going faster and faster, the trains brakes squealing, all of them bracing for impact, Charlotte-Mae gripping Seth's jacket in her fists,

"Hold on!" Jack yelled

Just as they were about to hit the train, Jack jerked the wheel to the right and slid off the tracks and onto the dirt. Behind them, the UFO exploded onto the train, causing them to duck, Seth grabbing Charlotte-Mae, she grabbed onto Sara, watching as fire surrounded the cab, the brunette looking at it, transfixed by it. Sara watched as she slowly lifted her hand, palm facing the window slowly rotating it, watching at the fire rotated away from the cab, looking back at Charlotte-Mae, a deep red ring forming around the inner part of her iris.

"Watch out!" Jack bellowed,

The wind picked up, Jack not noticing, one of the train's carriages flipping and soaring over the top of them, just barely missing them.

Narrowly escaping, Jack swerved the cab onto a dirt road and slowed down till they were back at a reasonable speed, Charlotte-Mae's eyes turning back to their original stone gray, slowly releasing Seth and letting go of Sara, who moved back to her seat, Seth's hand never leaving hers. The cab was silent.

"What the hell is happening?" Charlotte-Mae asked no one is particular

"Hey, it's gonna be alright, Mae" Jack assured "we're gonna find a safe place and we're gonna get some rest. Hopefully that thing is gone."

Charlotte-Mae let out a small sigh through her nose, running a hand through her hair, feeling Sara's eyes on her the entire time, watching every move she made. She slowly removed her hand from Seth's, who looked at her,

"I'm going to check if there was any damage to the engine" Jack said before getting out

"I need some air" Charlotte-Mae added

She leaned forward, climbing in between the two front seats, and opening the passenger door, climbing out of the cab and feeling the cold night air, causing a soft sigh to emit from her nose as she closed her eyes, leaning back against the closed door, folding her arms over her stomach. On her own, she had grown used to cold nights, and she had grown to love them because of the comfort they provided.
