A child's laughter filled the air as little feet ran through the field, her curly brown hair bouncing with every step she took while her dress flowed in the wind. Another child chased after her, a smile on his lips, only to grow when he caught her in her arms, listening to the sound of her laughter as he spun around. She suddenly slipped from his embrace, the wind carrying her a few feet away before she started running again,

"Sara!" She called out "come play!"

The wind suddenly pushed Sara lightly, causing her to laugh as she began to run as well,

"You won't catch us Seth!" Sara teased

"Yes, I will!" Seth replied "you better run faster Azalea!"

Laughter filled the air, bright smiles on their faces as they ran without a care in the world. But eventually, the three children collapsed in the grass, feeling the softness brush against their skin, looking up at the bright clouds above them,

"Our friendship will never fade" Sara suddenly spoke up

"Promise?" Azalea asked, looking at her

"Promise" she confirmed

A hand hesitantly laced with hers, causing Azalea to turn her head, seeing Seth looking up at the sky with flushed cheeks, a soft smile forming on her lips as she lightly squeezed his hand in return, looking up at the sky once more. Azalea reached out, grasping Sara's hand in her own, the three of them laying there in the grass as flowers began to grow around their frames, knowing in their heart that no one could ever separate them.

A gasp emitted from Charlotte-Mae as she sat up, some of her curly locks falling in front of her face as she grasped the seat. She flinched slightly as a hand was placed on her shoulder, looking over at Sara, who was relieved to know that she was okay, watching as her breathing calmed down, leaning back against the seat.

"You guys alright?" Jack asked from the wheel, earning a nod from Charlotte-Mae

"We are all right Jack Bruno" Sara replied "a little shaken, but not injured"

Suddenly, a small groan was heard, causing Charlotte-Mae to look at Seth, seeing that he was holding his head, Jack looked back at him through the rear view mirror,

"Hey, how are you holding up Seth?" Charlotte-Mae asked, placing her hand on his shoulder

"No need to worry, Charlotte-Mae" Sara assured "my brother's system has the ability -"

"I'm fine" Seth interrupted his sister and turned to Jack, "it is important we gain much distance from this location"

"Well, I'm happy you're feeling better" Jack said, "because you're gonna need your strength when you explain to me, just what happened back there!"

"Jack!" Charlotte-Mae scolded

Neither Seth nor Sara said anything in answer to Jack, causing him to stop the cab,

"Okay here's the deal. The car doesn't move until your mouths do" He said firmly to the siblings, "so start talking"

Charlotte-Mae looked at Seth, curious as to what he was going to say, not knowing that her hand was rubbing her arm,

"The information you are seeking is not within your grasp of understanding" Seth answered

"We are dealing with issues outside the realm of . . your world" Sara continued

"Hey, I'm a cab driver, okay?" Jack replied, turning around to look at them "I've had plenty of worldly experiences . . ." looking through the back window behind them

"Jack?" Charlotte-Mae asked, before looking behind the cab along with Seth and Sara, seeing the light of a something flying was coming toward them "oh no"

"Sara we have to go!" Seth cried, turning back around

Sara whipped her hand out and sped the car forward, just like she did when they were on the highway.

"What is it?" Jack cried

"The Siphon?" Charlotte-Mae whispered to the siblings

Sara looked at Seth, who looked at Charlotte-Mae, then nodded once, the brunette turning back, looking at the light following them.

"Don't worry" Seth whispered "I won't let him hurt you"

Charlotte-Mae looked at Seth, his bright blue eyes connecting with her deep gray, a sense of safety suddenly flowing through her at the protectiveness he held in his eyes, giving him a small nod. Suddenly, the ground began exploding like it did at the shack, causing Jack to didge and weave around them.

"Hang on!" He yelled

Jack turned off the road, breaking through branches of trees, the cab sliding down a hill.

"Hold on!" Jack cried again, turning the wheel, left, right, then left again in an attempt to keep the cab straight

Charlotte-Mae looked out the front window and saw a fence coming up, and it was coming up quickly, Jack didn't do anything, he couldn't see it. Seth and Sara were still looking back at the UFO behind them, so it was up to Charlotte-Mae. She leaned forward in between the front seats, her hands grasping the steering wheel, jerking it to the right, causing Jack to let out a yell of surprise as the cab sharply turned, nearly missing the fence. Thankfully. Charlotte-Mae slid back into her seat, leaning into it and taking deep breaths as Jack turned off the headlights and drove into a dark tunnel. They stopped and sat there, the sound of heavy breathing was the only thing that was heard. Seth turned to Sara, talking across Charlotte-Mae,

"We can't let him destroy it or her, Sara" Seth said softly, sending chills down Charlotte-Mae's spine

Sara looked at her brother confused, taking out the object they had gotten out of the shack, but then seemed to realize something, then nodded,

"Who is 'he'?" Jack asked, "and this time I need real answers"

The brunette looked at both siblings, silently telling them to just tell him the truth. Sara seemed to know exactly what she was thinking and obliged,

"It's a Siphon" She said

"A what?" Jack asked

"He's an assassin trained to pursue his target until his mission is completed" Seth continued

"And his mission is . . .?" Jack asked, trailing off again as lights began to shine on the ground in front of the tunnel, searching for something

"Us" Sara said
