"Thank you" Sara said, looking at them "all of you. Seth and I understand that you don't have to go forward with us and yet you choose to"

"You're welcome" Jack replied with a smile

"And don't worry" Alex continued, "we're gonna get you home, I promise" 

Seth and Charlotte-Mae looked at one another, Jack still didn't know that she was originally from their planet, but they knew he would find out soon,

"I'm going to grab my stuff" Alex said to Jack, "let's meet upstairs in the convention, at my booth, then we get your cab" she began to walk off when Jack stopped her

"Uh, Alex, uh, listen" He hesitated, "I can't let you come with us" 

"What?" Alex immediately asked

"If half of what Harlan says is true, it's way too dangerous" he explained "they got in my cab. They're my problem"

"Um, no" she disagreed "I have spent my entire life preparing for this moment. And now, when I have two - "

"Three" Charlotte-Mae whispered to herself

" . . actual aliens in need of my help, you want me to walk away?" Alex continued

Jack said nothing and Seth, Sara and Charlotte-Mae simply stood and looked on

"It's not gonna happen" she continued "man up, soldier. I'm in. Just lay low till we meet up" 

"Sure. Great. Lay low. Easy. How hard could it be?" Jack said as Alex walked away again

Jack watched her go and Charlotte-Mae looked at Sara, smirking, knowing that she knew what the brunette was thinking,

"She thinks you're very handsome" She said to Jack who looked between her and in Alex's direction

"Really?" He asked

"And smarter than you think you are" Sara continued

"So, she was thinking about me, huh?" Jack asked, Charlotte-Mae not bothering to hide her snicker

"At least as much as you were thinking about her" Sara told Jack

"Hm" Jack said in an impressed way, "so, she didn't happen to mention in her thoughts that I was, uh-" Jack began but was cut off in some guy in an alien suit

"It's showtime everybody!" He exclaimed "Space Expo Number Nine. It's upstairs. Come on" 

"Should we go upstairs now?" Seth asked Jack who was still standing, looking in the direction where Alex walked away

"Yeah, lets go upstairs" He said, obviously not paying attention to what Seth or he, himself was saying.

The siblings walked off with the people in costumes, Seth's hand slipping from Charlotte-Mae, but Jack stayed a little longer and she turned just in time to see Seth and Sara disappear in the crowd,

"Jack" Charlotte-Mae said

"Hey, do you think she was thinking about-" Jack continued

"Jack!" Charlotte-Mae exclaimed and he snapped to attention

"Seth? Sara?" He called and looked her

"Don't look at me, this is on you" she replied "you told them to go upstairs"

"Oh, no. Seth! Sara!" Jack called out again.

Without warning, two big guys, bigger than Jack, came out of nowhere and grabbed them both.

"Let me go!" Charlotte-Mae yelled as a big bald guy grabbed hold of her

"Tried to warn you Jack" The bigger black guy said to him

"Mr. Wolfe doesn't take rejection well" the other added

"And who is this pretty little lady?" The bald guy said, looking at Charlotte-Mae while keeping a tight grip on her arms as he moved her hair away from her face

"Let go of me!" Charlotte-Mae seethed

"Don't touch her" Jack said low and dangerously

He tried to get out of the black man's grip, but the bald man tightened his grip on her arms, causing a wince to emit from her, knowing there was going to be a bruise because the only thing that separated their skin was the thin fabric of her cardigan. Charlotte-Mae could feel his hot breath, struggling against his his hold, but stopped when his hand grasped her hair, pulling it slightly.

Somewhere else in the Casino, surrounded by lots of people in space costumes, Seth stopped in his tracks, his eyebrows furrowing slightly as he felt a slight sting in both of his arms, causing his right hand to move to his upper left arm, feeling as if another hand was had grabbed his arm just as he felt a feathered touch in his hair. But there was nothing. No one else was touching him or even close enough to touch him. His eyes widening slightly,

"Seth?" Sara asked, looking at him

". . . It's Mae" Seth said, looking at her ". . she's in trouble. Someone's hurting her"

"She's your One" Sara said, her eyes widening

"This is so not a good time" Jack said but he was punched in the gut by the black guy and let out a grunt

"Jack!" Charlotte-Mae called out

"You're out of time, Jack" The bald man said to him.

Suddenly, two guys in Stormtroopers costumes walked up to Jack,

"Well, well, well" one of them said "if it isn't the Rebel Alliance cab driver scum"  pointing his fake gun at him

"Not such a tough guy out of you ship, are you, womp rat?" The second asked, "you're in our house now" 

Charlotte-Mae lowered her head slightly, her hands slowly clenching info fists as she suddenly jerked our of the man's hold just as Jack released himself from the black guys arms, grabbing the fake guns and hit first the black guy, but stopped as he was about to hit the second, seeing that he was already knocked out on the floor, Charlotte-Mae cracking her neck slightly as she looked down at him, throwing one more kick to his rib area.

"Did not know who he was messing with" Charlotte-Mae said, then looking at Charlotte-Mae "can we go now?"

"Are you okay?" He asked, earning a small nod from her

"Yeah, I'm fine" She replied

Jack gave her a nod in return, throwing the fake gun back to the Stormtrooper, grasping Charlotte-Mae's hand as they started running through the Space Expo.
