"It is all right now, Charlotte-Mae" Sara assured "it is over now"

". . . How do you know my name?" She asked, turning to look at them

The two siblings looked at her, knowing why she looked so familiar,

". . . I believe you know, Charlotte-Mae" Sara said softly

Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Jack got back into the cab, starting the engine and driving off once more.

The drive was silent, the curly haired brunette playing with the ends of her hair, something she would do when she wasn't playing her violin,

"How you guys holding up?" Jack asked, his eyes never leaving the road

"We're fine" Sara replied

"Me too" Charlotte-Mae added

"I'm sorry I dragged you into this" He looked at the brunette, "all of you"

"There is no need to apologize, Jack Bruno" Sara said "you are not always the one who is to blame"

"But the urgency of our trip has not decreased" Seth said

"Look, don't worry. I'll get you two where you need to go" Jack said, "you've earned it"

It was almost dark, the cab driving up a mountain,

"We're here Jack Bruno" Sara spoke up

Charlotte-Mae looked up from the book in her hands, looking out the window and seeing nothing but an old shack up ahead,

"Here?" She asked, confusion laced in her voice

"There's nothing here" Jack said

They drove up a little more and Jack pulled up in front of the shack,

"Somebody's expecting you right?" He asked

"It doesn't look like anyone's home" Charlotte-Mae added, closing her book and putting it in her backpack with all of her other stuff,

"Don't worry Charlotte-Mae and Jack Bruno" Sara said as she unbuckled her seatbelt "we will soon be reunited with relatives"

"Okay, 720 dollars and 50 cents" Jack said "but, after everything that went down today, how about I knock off 25% and - "

"Here you go" Seth said, pushing a whole handful of the money into Jack's hand and getting out of the cab after Sara

"Okay then" He muttered

Charlotte-Mae looked out after them, her eyebrows furrowing slightly as she felt a small pull,

"500% tip" Jack said, causing her to look at him "that's reasonable"

She shook her head slightly, unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out of the car, Jack letting out a small sigh through his nose before following,

"Hey!" Jack called, "you guys over payed! . . . By a lot!"

He closed his cab door but then looked down at the damage,

"Unbelievable" He sighed

Suddenly there was a crash, like glass breaking, making Charlotte-Mae take a small step back. Slowly, Jack came around the cab and stood next to her, both of them beginning to walk forward,

"Everything okay in there?" He yelled out, only earning silence "stay here, Mae"

Charlotte-Mae simply rolled her eyes in response, following behind him, wanting to see if they were okay. There was a sense of familiarity to them, as if she had known them somehow, but she couldn't figure out where. Something was missing, a blank page, like part of her was erased. Jack and Charlotte-Mae stepped onto the porch, where shattered glass was spread out, causing her to look at the window, seeing that it had been broken from the inside. She walked up to the door, grasping the handle and slowly opening it, which gained Jack's attention,

"Mae!" Jack whispered

"Come on!" She whispered

Jack grabbed her hand just in case anything jumped out at them so they could make a quick getaway if they needed to. They walked around beside the door, looking at the shattered window and torn up blinds, a light fixture was swinging on the ceiling, other lamps on the floor, some of them shattered. Jack grabbed a broken table leg, Charlotte-Mae light on her feet, not stepping on anything or bumping into anything, like she wasn't there. But she felt as if someone was watching her, causing her to look around, a gasp emitting from her as another hand grabbed her arm. She turned around, only to find electric blue eyes staring back at her, crouching behind a couch, pulling her and Jack down behind the couch as well.

"Seth!" She whispered, "you scared the - "

"Shh" he hushed "you must be quiet"

"Charlotte-Mae, Jack Bruno, you should not have jeopardized your lives by following us" Sara whispered as Seth began playing with his device again

"What sort of trouble are you guys in?" Jack asked

"I suggest you return back to your vehicle" Seth said, ignoring his question "your transportation services are no longer required"

"Seth, he's just trying to help!" Sara whispered to her brother

"We don't need his help. Someone has already been here looking for it" Seth said, "they said we can't trust anyone. Only us"

"You can trust us" Charlotte-Mae said, not even wondering or caring what he meant

Seth looked back at her, locking eyes, the electric blue seemed to hypnotize her, just as her deep gray seemed to entrance him,

"But you will get hurt" Seth said, concern laced in his voice "possibly killed if you help us"

"We appreciate your wanting to help us Charlotte-Mae" Sara added "but my brother is right. We can involve you no further" Seth's device beeping

"Got it!" He informed

"Let's go" Sara replied and got up, Seth close behind

"Wait, just tell us what's . ." Jack trailed off as Sara and Seth went into the next room

Charlotte-Mae got up after them, pulling Jack along with her,

"Hurry up Sara" Seth said

They had stopped in the kitchen and Seth opened the fridge, placing his device next to it, Charlotte-Mae watching as it beeped for a second,

"What is that?" Jack asked

Before the siblings could answer, the inside of the fridge opened up to reveal a secret passageway, Seth and Sara looking at each other before going inside, Charlotte-Mae quickly following behind, Jack hesitating,

"Don't go in the pimped out fridge Jack" He said to himself, causing her to roll her eyes

"Don't be a wuss" she replied, shaking her head slightly

They walked down a set of stairs and into a small basement, Seth put his device on the brick wall next to a black and heavy looking door, it beeped just like it did with the fridge and the door slowly opened. Seth and Sara both went inside, Charlotte-Mae and Jack following. They slowly followed them down a dark stone tunnel and emerged into an entire forest.
