|Chapter 23: the feels|

"You have stolen my heart, oh, yeah Never let it go, oh, oh, no Never let it go, oh, oh, oh Lightning straight to my heart, oh, yeah I got all the feels for sure Yeah, I got all the feels for ya, oh" The feels by Twice

I don't know how to write couples, sorry. There's also a bit of talk about slut-shaming (idk how I got there)

This time Jaeyun woke up when the sun was out, and Jay's arm absent from her waist. She mumbled his name, eyes still closed. She still heard him answer, or at least his voice.

"Hello engenes" he said, jokingly in a low voice.

At first Jaeyun panicked, but even in her half-asleep state she realized he was speaking to his phone.

His phone.

She never opened her eyes so fast, turning around and meeting Jay's back at her. He was on his phone, but it was just a call, or at least what Jaeyun could tell without her glasses and dazed brain.

"Yeah, I just woke up" he spoke with groggy voice, falling silent again, just hearing whatever the person on the line was saying.

Jaeyun slowly slid towards him and grabbed his bicep. She heard his low intake of breath, not wanting to reveal much of what he was doing.

"Good morning" she whispered in his ear, low enough for him to hear and for the phone to not catch.

He only nodded in response "What?" he said towards the phone, immediately chuckling nervously as Jaeyun wrapped herself around him "sorry, I'm still really sleepy" he said. She heard the person agree and then say goodbye. He turned moved on the bed, wrapping his arm around her shoulders "good morning"

She chuckled "who were you talking to?"

"Jungwon" he answered, rubbing his face "he was doing a live and some engenes asked for me, apparently" he explained. Jaeyun hummed in response, nuzzling herself into his chest "did you sleep well?"

"Yep" she answered "so good, I wanna go back" she joked and chuckled.

Jay rubbed her arm "I wasn't planning on going out either"

Jaeyun looked up, not at his eyes, but the uncovered skin on his neck. The purple marks, made by her, were still visible on his skin. She lightly traced them with the tip of her finger "Good"

He chuckled at the tickles "that was all you"

She looked at him with a smile "I know" she said, leaning forward to lightly kiss one of the marks "you left some too"

He grabbed her waist, pulling her onto his lap "I know" he pecked her lips, brushing off some strands of her hair. He looked down at the same purple marks adorning her neck, tracing them with tickling sensations on Jaeyun's skin, making her giggle "we'll have to find a way to cover them"

"I can just wear a scarf" Jaeyun teased.

"We can't both appear wearing scarfs after being away for a couple of days" he said, holding her face by her jawline "we never thought of this" he added.

"Of hiding? I think about it all the time" Jaeyun said, a jokingly tone audible on her voice, even when she meant it "I've already seen tutorial of how to cover up hickies, we'll be fine"

Jay chuckled "really?" he said, adjusting his position in the bed and resting his back against the headboard.

"Yeah" Jaeyun admitted shyly "my early teenage years were... curious" she chuckled "and, well... they teach you that when you're a trainee"

"What?" Jay asked, confused.

"You never had that?" Jaeyun asked back, confused as well "I mean, we have makeup artists, but sometimes they would make us take classes von how to apply makeup ourselves" she explained "once or twice they taught us how to cover up hickies"

"Why?"

"You know why" Jaeyun said, like it was obvious, but Jay's confused look on his face and narrowed eyes forced her to explain "whenever a relationship leaks, it doesn't matter how famous either group is, the girl always gets called a whore" she said.

Jay looked at her, silent, which annoyed her a little.

Jaeyun lifted herself of Jay's lap, sitting next to him and fixing the bed covers on top of her legs "even now, V and Jennie sunbaenim's relationship is only a rumour, but these supposed 'feminists' are calling her a whore" Jaeyun explained "V's definitely getting some hate too, but hers is different" she shrugged "when you're a female trainee it's like they train you for that too"

Jay nodded along as she spoke, but Jaeyun realized he didn't really know how to answer to this new information. She rubbed her face, embarrassed of what she said and trying to rub sleep off her before getting a coffee.

"Sorry" she said "I didn't want to bring the mood down"

"No, no, it's okay" Jay quickly replied "I just... I never had to think about it, that's all" he explained, grabbing the side of her face to make her look at him "but we'll be alright, I swear"

Jaeyun smiled softly, holding his hand "I know"

They looked at each other's eyes for a moment in silence, and Jaeyun just wished she could tell him to not promise something he couldn't accomplish, but he was right.

We'll be alright.

"Coffee?"

"Brush your teeth first"

[***]

The next day, Jaeyun's birthday, she decided to spend it with her sister, just like they'd planned. They went out to different types of cafes and photobooths, just enjoying their lost time.

Their last stop was the Hybe museum, which Jaeyun had already seen a couple of times, during the opening and some other visits Evermore did during schedules, but Nari insisted she wanted to go.

"I wanna see the BTS part" Nari said as she dragged her sister to the entrance.

"Then why am I the one paying for it?" Jaeyun complained as she followed "It's my birthday"

"You're the rich one here"

Jaeyun only rolled her eyes, adjusting her mask and looking around the place. There were probably another five people walking around, so she just made sure to stay near her sister as she 'awed' over whatever Jungkook outfit she was looking at.

She managed to glance a bit around the Enhypen part, admiring the outfits she envied back in trainee days, before her sister dragged her towards the Tomorrow x Together part. They 'awed' at some more suits and awards before they decided to leave.

As they got out and looked at the sky again, Jaeyun looked at her watch "we have some time for a quick dinner if you want" she spoke to Nari "after that I gotta go back to the building"

Her sister adjusted her bag on her shoulder "sure" she said, looking around "do you know any good places around here?"

"C'mon" Jaeyun said "I know a place nearby" she locked her sister's arm and started walking, telling Nari how Yua and her use to go to this place all the time during trainee days. Running away from some screaming manager just because they craved whatever 'bad' food they wanted. Even if they got punished, they always had each other.

In moments like this, Jaeyun missed those times. As a trainee, you only wish to debut, but debuting only came with new worries.

"So," Nari started, grabbing her chopsticks from one of the drawers under the table and passing them between her hands "you and Jay"

Jaeyun stopped herself mid food-grab, eyes open wide "seriously?" she complained, switching to Spanish as she looked around.

Her sister rolled her eyes "fine" she said, switching too "no one was looking at us, by the way" she quickly added before taking a bite of her noodles. Jaeyun rolled her eyes too, but didn't say anything "we didn't get to talk much about him before" Nari said "how long have you been together?"

Jaeyun stayed quiet, trying to remember the number "about... two months? I don't know" she shrugged "I haven't been counting"

Nari coughed "how much?"

"...Two months"

"Two!" Her sister yelled, making Jaeyun slap her arm and look around.

"Don't yell" Jaeyun reproached "and yes, it's been only two months, I think" she added, taking another bite of her food "is there a problem with that?"

"You introduced me to him now" Nari said "I always thought you would wait like, I don't know, five months or something"

"It was unexpected for me to!" Jaeyun shot back "we were literally on our first date when you texted"

If Nari hadn't spit out her drink before, she looked like she could now "First date!" she whispered-yelled.

"Save it"

"First! Date!" Nari slammed her hand, as soft as she could, twice on the table, putting emphasis on each word.

Jaeyun leaned back on her chair, pinching the bridge of her nose at her sister's reaction.

"What took you so long?" the oldest asked.

"You try dating while being an idol" Jaeyun said while adjusting her posture.

Her sister stayed quiet, forcing Jaeyun focus on her food out of embarrassment. She knew what her sister was thinking, it what she'd been thinking since the first time Jay and her kissed.

Is it worthy?

Jaeyun was scared that the first answer that came to her mind, screaming like bells from a church, was yes.

It is.

I'm not gonna lie, I think Jaeyun was supposed to wear glasses (definitely not like me) and I just forgot.

Also my job has been a mess lately and I've had little to no time to write, again so sorry for the wait (also a guy broke my heart, but that's an issue for another day).

Have you guys seen Barbie btw??? I went with my mom and my sister and I really loved it! Such a fun movie. No one asked but, all of the Evermore girls would go to watch it together and MAYBE Jaeyun would watch it again with Jay before watching Oppenheimer together.

Anyways, hope you liked the (rather short) chapter!!! See you next update!!!

(this was kinda proof read, any grammatical mistakes are for me to torture myself at night)
