With the comeback schedule out already, and some of the concept pictures out too, the next step was to film the music videos, that's why filming that day started early in the morning.

Jaeyun was drinking some hot coffee while sitting on a chair as her make-up artist reapplied some of her make-up. She wasn't cold, considering they were inside a set, but a female staff member had covered her legs with a blanket anyways.

She didn't really understand what the music video was going to be about, all she knew about their storyline was the few things their manager told them for interviews. The five of them were a group of friends in high school and one day decide to go to a party some other students were hosting, but after that party neither of them remembers what happened, and even though they try to remember, they just can't. The theories Jaeyun had read were enough to write five books, probably more even.

She knew forevers were catching up on the fact that their storyline might be connected, or at least on the same universe as Enhypen's storyline, and for what she could see from the very few scenes they had already filmed, it was definitely connected.

Just as her make-up artist was finishing up, Nara walked towards her with a camera in her hands.

"What are we doing today eonni?" she asked, a smile visible from the back of the camera.

Jaeyun smiled while looking at her, she always did this when they filmed music videos.

"Today we are filming the music video for "Junction" with Enhypen" Jaeyun explained, thanking her make-up artist before getting up from the chair and looking down a bit to the camera Nara was holding "Enhypen got here after us and they're changing right now, I think" she scrunched her nose at the camera with a small smile "we had to be here first to film some stuff by ourselves" she added.

"What are you the most excited for forever to see in the video?" Nara asked, continuing the interview.

Jaeyun pretended to think for a second.

"The amazing choreography" she counted one with her hand "our group's visuals" she counted two and looked behind her, getting closer to the camera while covering one side of her mouth "enhypen's visuals" she winked, making Nara laugh "and the song, obviously"

Nara showed her thumbs up and stopped recording.

"That was great eonni" she said with a smile on her face, checking how the recording looked like on the camera.

"Anyways, I need to go to the restroom" Jaeyun said, palming Nara's shoulder "I'll be back in a bit"

She was happy that her outfit wasn't too hard to get off, it was a school uniform after all.

While washing her hands, she heard some people talking outside, but didn't think much of it until she was about to open the door to go back to the set.

"Are you fucking serious?" Raon's voice said, she sounded angry, annoyed even "it was only a stupid picture"

"So you're telling me that wasn't for me?" Heeseung replied, he sounded angry too.

"Why would it be for you?" Raon whispered-yelled back.

Before anyone could say anything else, the voice of a staff member interrupted them, letting them know they had to go back to the set.

Jaeyun waited a couple of more seconds before she got out of the bathroom and headed back to the set too, not wanting to upset any staff members.

They had to film a few more scenes with their school outfits before they changed to their dance outfits. This time she was wearing a black and red skirt with a white dress shirt, a black vest and a black jacket, the tie she had around her neck had some red lines to match her skirt. Her pink hair was styled with the upper half tied at the back of her head and some shiny strips of (plastic? She didn't know) clasped on her hair as decoration.

She was barely able to wave to Jay before they started filming the choreography.

Luckily, the filming for that day wrapped up before she could realize how much time had passed and as she took her jacket off to cool down her body, her eyes caught the exact moment where Jay started rolling his shoulder and massaging it a little bit, his face trying to hide a painful expression.

"Oh my god there's ramen" Jaeyun said, running towards the small instant ramen station on the break room. It was currently day two of filming and they were finally having a break to have lunch.

She heard someone else squeal from joy and turned around to see Jake walking towards where she was standing too.

As they made conversation and laughed together while their ramens were cooking, Jay watched them from afar, again not knowing why his blood was boiling and his fists were clenching to the sight. He clicked his tongue, annoyed with himself and turned his head to the other side to stop looking at them.

His tongue clicking didn't go unnoticed by Jaeyun, that after grabbing her now finished ramen went to sit down next to him.

"Are you upset because of the choreography thing?" she whispered at him, making sure no one else could hear them.

He turned his head at her, his eyes wide for a moment "what?"

"I noticed, yesterday" she said, pointing behind her like if she could point to the day before "I don't think anybody else did, it's fine" she quickly added "Is your shoulder okay? I could see you were struggling with that one step"

His eyebrows raised "Oh right, right" he said and touched his shoulder for a moment "I'm fine, it just has been hurting a little bit lately" he explained "I need to practice some more for the comeback show, that's all"

"I can help you" she offered without thinking "if you want to"

Of course I want to, Jay thought, but he only smiled at her

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"100%" she smiled back, finally taking a bite to her ramen and humming when she felt how delicious it was.

Jay smiled while looking at her.

"So... what were you guys talking about?" he asked after a little bit, trying to be casual about it.

"What?" Jaeyun asked, confused.

"You and Jake"

"Aah"

"What were you talking about?" he asked again.

"Oh, I was telling him about a little ramen tip I saw on a tv show, apparently he watched it too so we talked about it" she answered, grabbing some more noodles with her chopsticks and eating them.

Jay hummed in response "what's the name of the show?"

"Brooklyn 99"

"Oh yeah" Jay said, setting down his now empty drink "I've heard Jake mention it, I haven't watched it though"

Jaeyun almost spat her own food

"YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT?"

It wasn't the first time Jaeyun stayed at the dance practice room until late, but it was the first time she stayed with someone else, and that someone was Jay.

She looked at him dance the chorus of the song while leaning against the mirror, leaving enough space so he could look at himself too. Funny enough, they were both wearing grey jackets and grey sweatpants. Her own jacket was a few sizes larger, and because she hadn't zipped it all the way up, one of her shoulders was uncovered and showed the black tank top she had underneath.

She stopped the music with the controller.

"How's your shoulder?" she asked, nodding her head towards him.

Jay shrugged his shoulders and started rolling the left one "it's fine"

"Does it still hurt?"

"A little"

Jaeyun sighed as she walked up to him "are you sure you don't want to go to the doctor?" her tone became softer as she spoke.

"I'm fine" he grabbed her shoulder and gave it a little squeeze "I think I just slept in a weird position last night, that's all" he walked away from her towards his bag, grabbing a water bottle and sitting down.

"You want me to massage you?" she asked him.

"You?"

"You have a problem with that?" Jaeyun asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Jay lifted his hands in sign of defeat "not at all"

She smiled "didn't think so"

As he turned around, she sat behind him and grabbed his shoulders, slowly rubbing them. If she was honest, she didn't know anything about giving massages, she didn't even know why she offered it to him, but there she was, giving him a massage.

"Ouch, ah!" he suddenly exclaimed.

"Stop complaining!" Jaeyun smacked his back.

"It hurts!"

"Fine! I'll stop!" she lifted her hands in defeat too "You can rest for a bit and then we'll practice more" Jaeyun said, grabbing her own bag and standing up to search for a hair tie. I should've left it on my wrist, she thought as she rummaged through her bag.

"Oh c'mon" Jay complained from the floor, now resting against the wall "we've been practicing for hours" he said

"And we should practice for a bit more, just one more hour" Jaeyun said while looking at him.

"Thirty more minutes" he begged.

"No"

"Please" he grabbed her hand and pouted, making her laugh.

"God you're so annoying sometimes" she said, sitting down next to him.

"You know what?" he said, lifting his water bottle towards his lips "I think you actually like me"

"Like you?" Jaeyun scoffed "Don't be so full of yourself Park"

"Oh c'mon, admit it" he responded, turning his head around and moving his eyebrows up and down, just to bother her "why would you suddenly want to help me with the choreography?"

"Maybe I just wanted to be nice" Jaeyun answered, resisting the urge to clean the sweat off of his forehead.

"Is that so?" Jay asked "nothing more?" he teased again.

"Oh, for god's sake Park" Jaeyun said, looking away from him "what do you want me to say? That I had an undeniable crush on you for more than 2 years and decided that arguing and competing with you, and later hating you, was the best way to let you know because I don't know how to flirt?" she made quotations signs and then crossed her arms over her chest "just for you to know, I do, in fact, know how to flirt"

"Oh really?" Jay asked her, clearly teasing.

She leaned closer to him, just a little bit "why?" she said, raising an eyebrow on purpose "do you wanna find out?"

That, obviously, took him off guard, but it caught her off guard too, but she wasn't going to let him know that.

He swallowed hard, realizing how close they were to each other in that moment. Looking down at her, she saw how his eyes slipped for a second to glance at her lips. She wasn't going to lie, she did too. His split lip had never looked cuter.

Their faces were so close that she could see the little scar he had on his nose and tried to fight the instinct to raise her hand and touch it. Had she noticed that scar before? He leaned down, just a little bit, but enough for Jaeyun to realize it, leaning towards him too.

Just when they were only centimetres away from each other, someone opened the door to the dance practice room, almost forcing them to step away from each other.

"Hey!" Mari said, Sunoo behind her "oh sorry!" she exclaimed "did we interrupt something?" she asked, a worried tone clearly visible on her voice.

"Wha-? No!" Jaeyun almost screamed, for once not being able to control the pitch of her voice. She coughed as she got up from the floor, getting up so fast that her head started spinning "we... I- I was just helping him with the choreography" she explained. Jaeyun turned her head to look at Jay, quickly regretting it and she pretended like she had to grab something from her bag "Just keep working on that part I told you" She said, sliding the strap of her bag up her shoulder "see you- see you later" she said and exited the room, fully ignoring Mari as she walked out.

Were they about to-? No, no! That didn't happen. He was probably just going to... make a joke or something, right? Her thoughts were raising through her mind as she walked to the studio.

Realizing that I have to name the title tracks made me panic ngl. Also, did you guys like the "almost" surprise?

That convo with Jake and Brooklyn 99 was inspired by the fact that Jake mentioned the show on an interview once (if I can include a screenshot I will)

Fun fact: this post was going to get mentioned on chapter 6 (I think?) but I changed it TWO TIMES to other chapters and ended up writing it on this one (and the beginning of the flirting scene was going to be in chapter 7 too)
