It was around 10pm

I had calmed down a bit from earlier and I was watching youtube on the tv in the living room with Ranboo

"Hey, Jax?" I ask and look over at him

"Yeah, what's up?" He responds, turning his attention away from the screen

"Thanks for earlier, I know that I can be really emotional and stuff.."

"No problem! It's perfectly fine, I'm so sorry that happened to your dad. And it's fine to be emotional, you feel how you feel and you can't change that"

I smile at his reassuring words "You're a really good friend" (AN: Damn, they just kinda friend zoned him doe-)

"Of course, Willow"

Not long after we hear footsteps entering the living room 

"Hey Willow, how are you doing?" Niki asks sweetly

"I'm alright, feeling a bit better. Clay said that dad is gonna be alright so that's good" I say as I pause the video playing

"That's good" She gives me a hug from behind the couch

"We're gonna go to the store to get the supplies for tomorrow, would you two like to come?" Wilbur asks

That's when I look behind me and see that everyone but Phil and Techno were going

"You seem to already have a lot of people" I laugh

"I'm fine with staying home" Ranboo says

"Same here"

"Alright, see you guys later. Text us if you need anything" And with that they all left

*Time skip brought to you by dare I hit the whip and nae nae for a moment*

Days remaining of the meetup: 3    D:

"I wanna dooooo somethinggggg" I whine

"Well it's almost midnight, what can we do?" Ranboo asks

"I don't know, lemme look something up"

Things to do at midnight with your best friend  I searched

1. Stargazing

2. Build a fort

3. Cook something 

4. Karaoke

"Hmmm, karaoke?" I suggest

"Do you think Phil and Techno would mind?"

"Ehhhh, it's fineeeee" I get off the sofa, Ranboo following me and we go into my room and put a karaoke video in the tv

"What song first?" I ask

He snickers "Sweater Weather?"

"Hell yeah" I search Sweater Weather and the first few beats begin

We didn't have microphones, or a karaoke machine at that. We just used hairbrushes and it felt real enough.

I tried not to show my real singing voice much, kinda like Quackity, but for some reason I really wanted to today so I gave it all I had

Jaxon's voice with mine just sounded so perfect together. It was really weird. I felt like my voice was better whenever it was mixed with his instead of being alone. I suppose that's our friendship anyways, we both like being with each other than without.

"Cause it's to cold, it's too co-old, cold for a sweater~" We finish the song together

"Dude, you're voice is literally so amazing" I say

"Mine? Have you heard your's??" He questions

I shake my head and slightly roll my eyes with a smile at the compliment "Genderman doesn't fail to amaze us everyday"

"I stole the gender, stole the style, and now I'm stealing the voice" He says as he types in a new song 

"What are you gonna do next, steal my heart?" I joke

"I just might" He looks over at me and winks

Mans is really using his volleyball flirting

"Not if I do it first" I wink back with a smirk, my confidence is peaking

We just stare for a bit, both smirking

The beginning of the song Dance, Baby! By boy pablo begins and I look over at the screen. I was excited to sing this song, it was bop 

"DANCE WITH ME BABY, DAAAANCE WITH ME BABY" We sing very loudly

This was a feel good song, and one that was perfect to do the nae nae too

"FOR MEEEEEE" We end the song off and laugh a bit

"I have a song, I have a song" I do grabby hands for the remote "Gimmie gimmie"

"You are a literal child" He says, giving me the remote

"A child that you're canonically platonically married to"

He sighs "I guess you're right"

Looking Out for You by Joy Again plays and I bop up and down in excitement and look at Ranboo who also seemed excited

"I guess I should startttttttttt, lookin out for youuuuu, like I always dooooo~" We sing and point at each other 

More and more songs sang

Tongue Gied, Sunkissed, Honeypie, Out of My Leauge, we even sang Taunt and One Day which were songs that were from a band Wilbur is in

I gasp "We should do Everybody Talks!"

"I love that song! Such a vibe lemme get it"

We pull it up and I excitedly get ready to sing

We even do the little clearing throat thing in the beginning

"I'm a sorry sucker and this happens all the tiiiiime~"

I close my eyes and we scream out the next lyrics

I open my eyes the exact same time Jaxon does and we look at each other and sing

"TOO MUCH CAN BE AN OVERDOSE" we yell

"All this trash talk make me itchinnnnn"

"Oh my, my shit" 

Oh wow he cursed again, that's such a foreign thing to me-

We dance along to the music as the lyrics stop momentarily

We scream the chorus again, keeping eye contact the whole time

We shake our heads to the 2 beats in between

Still dancing

"IT STARTED WITH A WHISPERRRR~" Only Jaxon sings this time

"EVERYBODY TALKS, EVERYBODY TALKS" I say in the background as he says the other lyrics

"AND THAT WAS WHEN I KISSED HERRRRR~" We make eye contact again

I still repeat in the background, maintaining the contact

The song ends and we burst out laughing at our stupid antics. One again, the eye contact returns. We always seem to be looking at each other, don't we? I wonder why

We just stare.

How do we always end up like this?

And why do I like it so much?

His eyes are just so captivating. The color, the shape, it always seems to grab me somehow. And then when he has to push his hair so he can see

Don't even get me started on that. His hair was amazing, even when it was messy. It looks so fluffy, I'd love to just play with it for hours.

Our smiles slowly falter, but remain eye contact

Butterflies.

Those fucking butterflies again.

They always seem to get me, don't they?

I don't even know why. I've gotten them from small contact with someone, but aren't you suppose to get them when you lo- 

No. I don't love him. But do I? I don't know it's just all so confusing. Love is a strong word, like? Maybe?

He breaks the eye contact, but only to look down at my lips. I could tell that's where his eyes where instead of my own.

I do the same. Looking down at his lips. They looked soft, like a pillow, maybe they felt like one too..

We lean in closer and closer

I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but I'm not stopping any of it..

"WE'RE HOME, BITCHES" I hear Tommy yell from downstairs 

We were inches apart. I broke my gaze from his lips back up to his eyes, which were looking at mine again.

"I- um- well" He stutters

"Umm- I- We- I'mgonnagohelpthembringinthegroceries" I blurt out and run out the room

I was blushing, that was certain. And my butterflies? They were as big as birds at this point.

"Hey Willow!" Niki say sweetly

"Heyyyyy, Niki" I say, nervousness obvious in my voice "Can I talk to you? Outside, maybe?"

"Oh, uh sure" She says and we go outside. Thank goodness they had gotten all the groceries and didn't need to go back out here

"What's wron-" She starts before I cut her off in pure panic

"You were right." I say blankly

"Right? About what?" She asks with confusion

"About Jaxon.." 

"OH MY GOSH!" She yells in surprise 

"KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN" I whisper yell

"WHAT HAPPENED? HOW'D YOU FIND OUT?? TELL ME EVERYTHING!!" She says eagerly, this time with her voice lower but still excited

"We were just doing karaoke and then we finished the song. We just kinda stared at each other for a bit and we got close and-" I explain

"DID YOU KISS?!" She yells

"NIKI! VOICE!" I yell back "And no, we were looking at each other's lips, we were like inches away, Niki. We were so close"

"Why didn't you two kiss?" She asks eagerly

"Tommy yelled that y'all were home and kinda broke the trance we were in"

"Oh my gosh, Tommy always ruining everything, I'm gonna murder him"

"No, Niki it's fine" 

We sit in silence for a couple seconds

"Soooo" She breaks the tension "Now that you know you like him, what're you gonna do?"

"Absolutely nothing." I say blankly

"What?? You have to do something!" She says in disbelief

"Like what? Kiss him romantically and then tell him to be my boyfriend?"

"Ask him out in a date, Low! You have like 2 or 3 more days, shoot your shot while you have the chance" She urges me

"I don't know Niki..."

Do I really have the confidence to ask him out...?
