yoongi was still stuck in the 'fight or flight' mindset since meeting his one of his past bullies.

since it was the weekend, he sort of isolated himself from his friends. he didn't have the courage to talk to anyone. in fact, he screamed when holly touched his chest the wrong way.

he had a blank face as he made breakfast. he thought the bare minimum he could for himself was eat. his therapist always told him that he should prioritize taking care of himself when he felt like this.

but right now, it was hard. the idea of feeding himself was diffcult to even process right now.

he jumped in his seat when the door slammed open. it was none other than park jimin. yoongi sighed.

"you haven't been answering me, so i had no choice" jimin said, yoongi picked at his pancakes, "want some pancakes?" yoongi softly asked, his voice almost a whisper.

"nah, i'm about to go out to breakfast with seokjin" jimin said, grabbing the fork from yoongi's hand and grabbing a piece of pancake, "open your mouth" jimin said, yoongi did as told and chewed the pancake.

"this is because of what happened with the parent, right?" jimin asked, yoongi nodded, taking a sip from his orange juice, "it's okay, hyung. you're safe, no one can hurt you. right now, you should focus on things that make you happy" jimin said, yoongi nodded like a scolded child.

"you've known me for like 6 years, you can trust me, yoongi. what can i do for you?" jimin asked, yoongi shrugged and just continued eating.

"what if you hanged out with namjoon? i think that would make cheer you up a bit" jimin said, yoongi hummed, "maybe"

"you could maybe get a kiss" jimin teased, "oh yeah because i definitely want physical touch in this situation" yoongi sarcastically said, "it wouldn't hurt! seokjin and i made out in the back of his car on our first date" jimin exclaimed, yoongi just rolled his eyes.

"good for you. holly stepped on my chest the wrong way the other day and i screamed because i was scared" yoongi mumbled, taking a bite from a strawberry.

jimin pouted, "well, promise me you'll do something that makes you happy" the boy said, holding his pinky out to yoongi, "i promise" yoongi said, interlacing his pinky with jimin's.

"okay, i'll get going now. stay safe, hyung!" jimin smiled, "you too, minnie"

the skated around the ring as they talked. mostly it was about standardized testing, it was one of the things they could bond most about as teachers.

"oh c'mon, you won't! let go of the wall" namjoon said, skating ahead of the boy. yoongi did as told, but only ended up falling on his butt.

"ow! my butt is going to be flatter than before!" yoongi whined, namjoon laughed, "do you want help getting up?"

"yes please" yoongi sighed, namjoon took the boy's hand and helped him get up. yoongi sighed and relied on the wall for support.

they enjoyed talking, it seemed like their conversations were endless because there was always something to talk about.

"enough about me, what about you, joon? anything on your mind?" yoongi asked, "not at the moment, right now i'm just thinking of how pretty you are" namjoon casually said, earning a a hit to arm, "you can't say that so casually"

"yes i can" namjoon said, making the small boy laugh. yoongi enjoyed this. he enjoyed how namjoon respected his boundaries and they were still abel to have meaningful conversations.

"also, i wanted to talk to you. i think one of my students has dyslexia" namjoon said, "why's that?" yoongi asked as they skated a bit.

"their hand writing is not that good, especially compared to the one of someone their age. they struggle to keep up in small group, has trouble reading out loud, they confuse similar letters like b and d, and they reread the same line without realizing" namjoon sighed, "it does sound like dyslexia. can you share with me their learners profile and then i can work from there?"

namjoon nodded, smiling at the boy. they were silent, but it was a comfortable silence.

"let me untie your ice skates" namjoon smiled, yoongi turned red and nodded. he let namjoon take the ice skates off to return them.

yoongi put on his own shoes while namjoon returned the shoes. the boy was so nice.

"this was fun" namjoon said, "yes, but i'm out of breath" yoongi said, making the tall boy laugh, "really?" he asked, yoongi nodded.

the ice skating center was huge so they walked together to the exit.

"what should we do next time?" namjoon asked, accidentally brushing his arm against yoongi's back. the small boy squeaked and jumped.

yoongi turned red, "oh gosh, i'm so sorry" namjoon frowned, "no, don't worry about it" he nervously laughed.

"i wouldn't do anything to you, i promise" namjoon mumbled, yoongi frowned seeing how the boy's mood had shifted.

"i know" yoongi said, so he did the unpredictable and pulled the tall boy into a hug. namjoon froze for a bit before melting into the boy's hug.

"thank you for trusting me" namjoon said, yoongi let go and smiled, "thank you for giving me time"

namjoon was wearing a headband. yoongi almost gasped because he never knew someone could pull it off like namjoon did.

"hi joon" yoongi said, namjoon looked up, "oh yoongi! how's your morning?" namjoon asked with a smile. at that moment, yoongi concluded that namjoon was flawless.

yoongi was red, touching his ears as he tried to think of what to say, "oh, my morning has been great" he nervously laughed, "why are you red?" namjoon asked.

"the headband" yoongi spoke, "i know it looks silly! but seokjin recommended it to me after i told him my hair gets in the way—"

"i think it looks great that's why i'm blushing" yoongi mumbled, namjoon smiled, "you're the sweetest"

"do you want me to get you some coffee?" yoongi asked, "yeah, that would be nice" namjoon smiled.

yoongi did that, making sure the coffee he made was the way namjoon liked it.

"thank you, sugar" namjoon said, the smaller boy thought he was dreaming.
