VI. Endless Love

Eliza walked into the Batcave behind her father. She sat down next to Alfred and they both waited for Bruce to explain what the meeting was about. "White Portuguese is not a man it's a ship." Bruce informed after researching his latest topic. "Master Wayne since the age of seven you have been to the art of deception as most people but you've never been too good at lying to me. The White Portuguese isn't carrying a dirty bomb what is it carrying?" Alfred asked.

"It's a weapon, a rock, a mineral, capable of weakening Kryptonian cells the first sample big enough to mean something turned up in the Indian ocean three months ago. It is now aboard the White Portuguese being delivered to Lex Luthor who I am going to steal it from." Bruce stated. "To keep it out of Luthor's hands? To destroy it?" Alfred asked. "Oh that's not what he has in mind." Eliza said and the two men both looked at her. "She's right." Bruce said.

"You're going to go to war." Alfred reminded Bruce. "That son of a bitch brought the war to us two years ago. Jesus Alfred count the dead, thousands of people. What's next millions? My daughter dead? He has the power to wipe out the entire human race and if we believe there is even a one percent chance that he is our enemy we have to take it as an absolute certainty. We have to destroy him." Bruce stated.

"You can't do that!" Eliza shouted. "Oh yeah watch me. Did you forget he almost killed you?" Bruce asked. "I'm sure he didn't mean it!" Eliza replied. "Until the day you receive an apology letter from him saying he's sorry then I'll believe you." Bruce said. "But he is not our enemy." Alfred replied. "Not today. Twenty years in Gotham now Alfred we've seen what promises are worth. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?" Bruce asked before leaving the Batcave.

Eliza shook her head and slumped in her chair. "He is never going to change." Eliza said shaking her head. "I know Miss Wayne but believe it or not sometimes change is a bad thing." Alfred replied. "On him I doubt it. I'm going to Metropolis for a bit Alfred. Dad is stressing me out." Eliza said. "Be careful miss. We wouldn't want you falling into the wrong hands again." Alfred said. "Don't worry Alfred I won't plus just track me I have my phone." Eliza replied and Alfred nodded.

(That's how you pronounce her name.)
Eliza walked out of the house and hopped into her black Ferrari. It was a lengthy car ride but she managed as she listened to music along the way. She walked into the park and stood in an area where she was alone by a fountain. There was people around her but she decided to do what she loved either way. She started dancing and the people around her stood by some steps and watched her.

People of all ages fell in love with her dancing, young mothers and fathers, little kids and old people. Eliza waltz across the floor, jumping, spinning, balancing on her toes and holding it like a pro. Extending her arms, directing her gaze just along her fingers. Doing controlled moves in a beautiful way only ballerinas like her could master. (A/N: Watch the video to know what I'm talking about. Skip to 0:40)

Even though she was in her regular clothes people knew right away she was a ballerina. People and a couple of paparazzi took pictures of her as she danced gracefully across the floor. Clark was also there at that precis time and he couldn't keep his eyes off Eliza. The way she moved and dance captured his attention in a way in which he couldn't describe. Every spin and leap made him keep his eyes on her. When she was finished many people clapped energetically for her especially Clark.

Eliza smiled and curtsied to the people that had been watching her. "That was really amazing." A man said as he clapped. Eliza turned around and saw the familiar blue eyes, dark curly hair and muscular body. It was Clark. "Thank you so much Clark." Eliza said smiling. "You're welcome. Umm you're a ballerina aren't you?" Clark asked. "Yeah but not for a living." Eliza said. "Well the way you danced out there was really beautiful." Clark said. "Thank you." Eliza said once again.

"What brings you to Metropolis as well as the dancing?" Clark asked as he and Eliza sat down by a fountain. "I just need to get my mind off of things. My dad has been stressing me out so far today." Eliza said letting the cool breeze of the air relax her. "The Bruce Wayne I see." Clark said. "Yeah what stresses him out also happens to stress me out too." Eliza replied. "Kind of weird huh." She continued.

"Not at all I understand. If you ever want to come to Metropolis give me a call I'll be there for you." Clark smiled while writing his phone number on a paper and giving it to Eliza. "Thank you Clark I'll make sure I do." She smiled as she grabbed the paper and put in the pocket of her coat. "Your girlfriend Lois wouldn't mind would she?" Eliza questioned. "Oh no Lois and I aren't together. We're just friends. We did go out but it didn't work out. I've moved on from her." Clark explained.

"Oh okay." Eliza said. "Want to go get something to eat? I heard a new restaurant just opened up by the corner." Clark offered. "Sure I'd love to." Eliza smiled. After they walked a couple of blocks they went inside of the restaurant and talked. "So one question." Clark asked. "Sure name it." Eliza said taking a sip of her iced tea. "How did Batman save you? From who? I know you mentioned it at Lex Luthor's party." Clark said.

Eliza looked down and bit her lip. "It's alright Eliza you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I was just curious." Clark reassured. "No Clark we're friends now and I trust you. It's just hard to talk about." Eliza said as her voice cracked. "It's okay. I'm here. You can tell me." Clark said holding Eliza's hand and their eyes locked. "It was four years ago when I was 16. I was at home and it was all over the news that the Joker had escaped Arkham Asylum." Eliza started out.

"The news reporter, was telling people to lock the doors of their homes and not to go out. I was with my dad on the phone since he was still at work and we were talking about that. He told me to be careful, he thought the Joker might come after me and boy was he right. That's when I heard the door bell ring, dad told me through the phone to not open it, he was driving to the house as fast as he could. I looked at the security camera footage and it was the Joker. I was on the phone with my dad the entire time.

"He told me to go hide, and I did I went under my bed. I was just on time though. I heard the door come crashing to the ground and the Joker's demonic laugh echoed through the entire house. His footsteps came up the stairs into my room. He kept telling me to come out, that I could run but I couldn't hide. I was so quiet but he found me. He pulled me from under the bed and I screamed louder than I ever did before.

"He put my dad on speaker and told him that just like he killed Batman's sidekick Robin he would kill me the same way too. The Joker then knocked me out and I woke up tied up on the ground in his lair. He walked over to me, bent down and said "I'm not going to kill ya. I'm just going to hurt ya really really bad." It was horrible. He beat me up for days, I had broken bones, I lost half of my blood. I felt like giving up."

"The Joker was also about to brand me but Batman saved me before the Joker had the chance to hurt me even more. That is why Batman is my hero." Eliza said wiping away a couple of tears that fell from her face. "I'm sorry I shouldn't even be crying." Eliza apologized. "No it's okay you have all the right to. What that clown did to you is horrible. If I could I would kill him for doing that to you. You didn't deserve it but I'm glad that Batman saved you." Clark said and Eliza smiled.

Clark got up and so did Eliza. Clark hugged Eliza, his arms wrapped around her petite figure and she placed her head on his chest as Clark's chin was on top of Eliza's head. "Thank you Clark." Eliza said. "It's no problem." Clark said smiling. The two wished they could stay in each others arms forever but they knew that Bruce wouldn't approve of them and that was the only thing keeping these two from loving each other.

A call interrupted Eliza and Clark's hug. "Go ahead take it. I'm sure it's important." Clark said and Eliza nodded.

"Hello?" Eliza said into the phone.

"Eliza it's dad I need you to come home something came up." Bruce's voice said through the phone.

"Okay I'm on my way. I'll see you in a bit." Eliza said and she hung up.

"Sorry Clark. My dad just called and something came up." Eliza explained. "No worries I better get going too." Clark said. "Thank you though it was really fun hanging out with you." Eliza said. "It was a pleasure running into you." Clark said and Eliza kissed his cheek. Clark blushed as Eliza opened the door to walk out but she turned her head and winked at him before walking out. Clark looked down at the ground and smiled. He was head over heels for her.

Once Eliza got home she put her coat on a hanger and her purse in her room. She walked into her dad's office/ the Batcave. He was sitting on a chair with the screen on in front of him. "Hey dad I'm back." Eliza said as she walked to her dad from behind, leaned down and rested her chin on his shoulder with her arms around his chest. He was watching a video of him teaching little four year old Eliza how to ride a bike.

"Remember how you didn't want to let go?" Bruce asked as he chuckled. "I do. I kept clinging onto you because I didn't want to fall." Eliza said also laughing. "And then I said..." Bruce started to say but he and Eliza said it at the same time. "In life we will fall but it's only to remind us that we need to pick ourselves up. It may hurt but it's worth it." The two finished saying the sentence together and they smiled at each other.

Eliza's P.O.V

(A/N: Let's try this out. Please comment do you like 3rd person P.O.V or Eliza's P.O.V better?)

"Dad what's wrong are you okay?" I asked. "I just. You're growing up so fast. Soon you'll be 28. You're going to get married, have kids and I just feel like you're going to forget all about your old man. And I'll be alone." Dad said saddened and I noticed right away. It crushed my heart seeing my dad like this. "Yeah I will get married and have kids but dad. You'll always be my number one man. Even when I have a boyfriend or get married you will always be the man in my life."

"You took care of me ever since Alfred found me on the steps of this house. You changed my diapers, you fed me, cared for me, and you taught me everything I know now, you have been the best father I could ever ask for. Even though you are Bruce Wayne and people said you would be a horrible father. You proved them wrong because you never let your work stop you from taking care of me and most importantly from being my father. I love you dad." I said finishing and then hugging him.

"Thank you baby. I love you." Dad said also hugging me and kissing my cheek. "I love you more pops." I said. "You're the best kid I could ever ask for." Dad said. "Thank you dad." I said almost in tears. "And you're the best dad I could ever ask for." I replied and he smiled as I kissed his cheek. "So what came up that you needed to talk to me about?" I asked. "I need to handle a couple of things at work tomorrow and I was wondering if you could come and help me." Dad said.

"Sure dad I'd love to help you." I said smiling. "Thank you pumpkin." Dad said smiling. "Anytime dad." I replied. "Now go sleep we have to be up early tomorrow." Dad said. "Okay goodnight dad." I said hugging him. "Goodnight princess. I'll see you in the morning." Dad said and I nodded. I walked up the stairs and into my room. I changed into my pajamas, turned off the lights and went to sleep.
