I walked into the forest, hoping to find Nick there, to be honest. And there he was sitting in our usual spot.

"Hey, Nick!" I said smiling at him.

"Oh hi." He replied. "Is it weird that I expected you to come here?" He giggled and I did the same.

"To be honest, not at all. I expected you to be here too." I laughed and blushed a bit.

"So how did the song thing go?" I asked him and sat on the grass.

"Good, good." He replied while he threw a rock into the pond. "We will continue recording the song tomorrow."

"Cool." I said. "It is called Anywhere For You, right?" I asked and he looked at me with his ocean blue eyes.

"Yeah." He nodded. "Do you want me to sing a bit?"

"I'd love to hear you sing it." I smiled and blushed again, hoping that Nick wouldn't notice that.

So Nick started singing to me and I felt so happy. He was so talented. I was glad to have him as a best friend, even if I felt something more towards him. As he was singing my stomach filled up with probably billions of butterflies.

"How was it?" He asked when he finished singing. Nick looked as if he was nervous, about doing something wrong.

"It was great!" I laughed at his scared face. "Honestly," I said in a more serious voice. "it was amazing, Nick. You have talent for this."

"Thanks." He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Can you sing?" He asked one of a sudden. I looked at him confused.

"Eh..." I cringed. "I don't know-"

"Please, Karla." He smirked. "I wanna hear you sing. You're an actress, you should know how to do that."

"Of course I know how to sing." I said a bit annoyed. "It's just that I haven't practiced in a while."

"That isn't a problem." He said as if it wasn't a big deal. "Just try."

I didn't want to sing now, especially in front of Nick. The last time I sang something was when I was about 8. I used to be in a chorus with Brian and Kevin back in Kentucky when I was so little. They chose the singing career, but I preferred acting. I quit the chorus and went to an acting school.

"Nick, you know that the last time I sang professionally I was about 8, maybe 7 or even 6?"

"Has anybody ever told you that you are so stubborn?" He sighed and giggled.

"I've heard that..." I mumbled.

"Are you gonna sing?"

"I'll try." I said and took a deep breath. I decided to sing a small part of 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper. I closed my eyes and started singing.

"You're not that bad at singing." Said Nick when I finished. "Actually it is pretty good for someone who didn't practice in a while."

"Thank you." I smirked feeling kind of proud of myself.

Me and Nick stayed there for a bit more and then decided to leave. I enjoyed every second of being with him, maybe because he is my best friend, maybe because I have a crush on him or maybe both.

Hey! I'm so sorry for not updating yesterday. I was in a water park all day and didn't have time to write anything. ;( I went swimming with sea lions tho haha. They are the cutest! I loved them! Anyways sorry if I won't update regularly. I am on holiday and I don't have a lot of time to write. Thanks for understanding :)
