Song: Impossible Year- Panic! At the Disco

Sorry for the late short update, but merry Christmas eve, to those that celebrate it! :)

Percy stared at the two boys, his mouth tugged down in concern.

He noticed the red under Tobio's eyes. It struck him, suddenly, that he'd never seen Tobio cry, not in 20 years.

He didn't know what to say.

Fortunately— or unfortunately— Kageyama began for him. He started up out of the swing, long limbs unfolding as he stood there awkwardly, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else. He glanced back at Hinata. Then, his tired eyes settled on his brother.

"Hey, Percy."

Percy started forward. Something in his brain stopped him after a few steps when he looked at his brother.

"Mom told me everything, Tobio." He felt his heart break at the sight of his brother on the verge of tears.

"Oh?" Kageyama's voice was quiet.

Percy crossed the last remaining gap and consumed Tobio with a hug so hard it must have cracked bones. When he spoke, he brought his hands to Tobio's face and made him look at him.

"Tobio. There's nothing wrong with you. You're a little slow, a little socially awkward, but being gay is— that's nothing to be ashamed of, you hear?"

That got the smallest laugh out of Tobio- a twinkling sound that seemed to fill the park with sunshine.

But then his face turned ashy.

"...Are they—still angry?"

"I.... Yeah. But I'm not going to let them say anything, Tobio, when I see them again, I'll make sure to tell them to grow up. I'll talk with them, okay?" He brought his brother back in for a hug. "They can't stay angry forever."

Percy glanced up at Hinata, standing awkwardly behind the swing. He'd been silent the whole time.

Thank you, Percy mouthed. This kid would be good for Tobio, Percy knew it.

Hinata's eyes, however, were fixed on something behind Percy.

"Mom?"

The four sat on the roundabout, shivering at the late night air.

They'd spent the past ten minutes reassuring Tobio that everything would be okay. The parents had split up half an hour ago to look for Hinata and Kageyama; and even if they were still angry, Tobio's parents were worried about his safety.

Percy thought about texting them their location. He figured it would be better if Tobio had some time, and his parents had some time, to figure things out a little bit more.

Hinata huddled up closer to his boyfriend, who seemed to be unaffected by the cold, his body a satisfying heater. "We haven't been to gardening club in a while, have we?"

Tobio shrugged slightly. "Guess not."

"I bet the Pres is gonna flip when we get back." He chuckled. "Oh, did you hear that Daichi asked him out? Finally."

Tobio rested his head on Shouyou's, making a humming noise at the back of his throat.

"Sugat texted me before dinner saying that he'd nearly killed all his carrot plants because I wasn't there to take care of them." He giggled. "It's nice to feel needed, I guess."

Kageyama appreciated Hinata's attempts to rid his mind of the past hour's events. He still felt like shit, but at least he felt like shit surrounded by people who cared about him.

Maybe, just maybe, that made things suck a little less.

Percy and Yuna's mom had branched off on their own conversation at the other end of the roundabout. As it turns out, they had a lot in common for being twenty something years apart. Kageyama and Hinata continued their small back and forth of Shouyou saying something and Tobio making a noise in his throat.

All conversations, however, came to an abrupt halt when Tobio spotted his parents at the park entrance.
