Kenma found his hands toying with one another as he waited in the cramped, freezing cold room.

This wasn't what he'd been expecting when he heard the words science club. He'd figured there'd be more... Exploding vials. Instead, the room was empty except for a half ring of chairs surrounding an ancient TV that looked like it was on its last legs of life and a whiteboard at the front of the room with incomprehensible chicken scratch written in green marker.

Kenma was looking to major in art, just like Hinata-- he wasn't a big science guy. Unless animals counted. He liked learning about those. But other than that, he'd never really particularly excelled in sciences. This Kuroo guy had better be something special, or else Kenma had no reason to be here....

A voice from behind him nearly made him jump to the ceiling.

"Haven't seen you around here. Are you a new member?"

When his heart calmed down enough to breathe regularly again, Kozume turned around and came face to face-- or rather, face to chest-- with a rather bedheaded boy.

He was tall and seemed to be pretty muscular, even under the shape-hiding T-shirt. When Kenma noticed the boy's sweatpants-- or rather, the print in the sweatpants-- he began sweating at the effort to keep his eyes level.

It was only when Kozume looked at the boy's expectant face that he remember to answer. "K-Kenma Kozume. My friend...Hinata sent me here."

Suddenly, a grin was spreading across the boy's face. "So Shortstack sent you, eh? Love that kid, love 'im." Kenma had to stop himself from verbally agreeing. "Well...

Name's Kuroo Tetsurou. Absolute pleasure to meet you, Kenma."
