Jules and I made our way inside, my anxiety rising a bit as I started to feel overwhelmed by the people that crowded the place. I breathed in deeply, trying to calm myself as I looked around the place, Jules dragging me along behind her with our arms linked.

"Whassup, Marina?" I smile, shrugging to Rue as I looked over to Lexi. Her smiling friendly at me as she stood slightly beside Rue.

"Y'all ready for this?" We all shared a look, nodding before heading to the counter. Going through the process of paying, telling our shoes size and then proceeding to get our roller skates.

I've never gone roller skating before.

    Lexi and I walked beside each other, the other two having already gotten their skates and left us behind. Lexi sat beside them, me across from Lexi to tie our shoes. They were totally into each other, into whatever it was they were talking about.. and I think Lexi felt a little left out, looking back at them. Rue looked over, smiling excitedly. At least I'm not the only one a little jealous of losing my best friend. I frowned looking over at Jules, her totally engaged with Rue. Lexi and I shared a look, smiling to ourselves, almost feeling each other's pain.

"Come on." I held an arm out for her, going to pull her along to the floor with me, the other two heading just before us.

"Let's have some fun." I grinned, suddenly full of energy and excitement.

   Luckily while we were on the rink Jules and Rue were more including, all of us moving around and rotating. One moment I'd end up between Lexi and Rue, and then Jules and Rue the next. Of course, Lexi and Jules had to help me, both of them putting an arm around me as I tried to get the hang of it, learning to keep balancing. Kinda easy, the dealing with people part.. a little less easy. But soon enough I was able to block them out.. and have fun.

   At the peak of the night, I was high on my own adrenaline and exhilaration. We were having more fun than I think any of us had anticipated on having. Holding hands and doing weird ass dances. Jules ended up falling on her ass, me following as I slipped back while laughing, causing us to laugh more.

   Rue helped Jules up, Jules grabbing onto her waist as Lexi grabbed onto Jules, helping me up with a hand. I grabbed onto Lexi, the four of us skating like that for a while before mixing it up.

   I laughed, throwing an arm over Lexi, me and her doing a side-to-side dance as Jules danced backwards in front of us.

"We need to hang out more!" I looked over to Lexi, smiling brightly to her. I grabbed her hand, throwing it up in the air as I cheered out, dancing some more.

"One more time, okay? One more time!" I turned back, smiling as Rue took off, going around the rink yet again, despite saying that twice already. I leaned forward, going back to untying the skates.

"Rue seems really good." I nod, Lexi pointing out Rue's good behavior lately

"Yeah, she does." I looked over from Lexi, looking to my sister on the other side of me for a split second. Her looking over at Rue with a big smile. I smile sadly to myself, looking down as I took off the wheeled boots, grabbing my real shoes.

"It's 'cause of you, you know." I stopped tying after a few seconds, realizing how quiet my sister had gotten. I looked over to her, her face seeming to be struggling to maintain her smile.

"Um, I'm gonna go to the bathroom."

"Jules?" She sent me a quick smile.

"I gotta pee." She whispers. I force a small smile, Lexi getting my attention.

"I'm glad you came tonight. I was afraid I'd be the third wheel." I laughed out some, nodding my head.

"I feel that. Every time hanging out with them, I think they forget I'm there. They didn't seem to bad tonight though, I'm surprised." We laugh nodding, Rue finally makes her way to us.

"Say, Lexi.. mind if I sleep over tonight?" She looks up, smiling from tying her shoes.

"I wouldn't mind at all." I smiled brightly, Rue making ehr way over.

"Where's Jules?" I stood up, having finishing tying mine now.

"Bathroom." I shrugged. I wonder why she got so quiet after Lexi said that.. there's been other times too, like at school. She hasn't said anything happened though.. I wonder If Rue knows anything I don't..
