Persephone is a female African wild dog and one of Varian's assistants. She has light tan fur with a dark brown face and ears, white inner ears and underbelly, and red eyes. She wears a white shirt with a gray flannel shirt, blue jeans, and red shoes with white stripes. She uses a grappling hook and an arm band that disperses smoke.

Unlike her namesake, Persephone is an unlucky in love gal. She is not seductive but no  She longs for mate for life and has a crush on every male member of her team. She likes working with machinery rather than magic or alchemy. 

Persephone has a crush on everyone of her male teammates with Ranger having a crush on her back. 

She is on good terms with Rapunzel but doesn't seem to interact with her much.

She, Antigone, Catalina, and Kiera have a close sisterly relationship.

She enjoys playing practical jokes on Eugene and Lance.

She appears to have empathy towards Cassandra, both having neglectful mothers.

Persephone is named after the goddess of love due to her longing for a husband.

She is the second African wild dog to appear in the show.

According to her backstory, Persephone had a neglectful family because she was different from her pack.
