Rosemary is a kakapo and a former resident of the Badlands. Her feathers are moss green mottled with yellow and black above, and similar but more yellow below. Her bill is grey and her legs and feet are grey with pale soles. Her eyes are purple. 

Rosemary is an adorable parrot and a sweet and kind nature. She is also timid and shy when talking to strangers. Due to her inability to fly, she is often made fun of by Mel and other creatures. However, she gains the ability to fly when Aasira gives her a levitating crystal. She also has a spiritual side to her and loves all things relating to the unknown.

Mel is well liked and respected by her teammates.

She and Ono seem to like each other.

Mel's name comes from the spice.

She is the only kakapo in the series.
