Once Childe went to his s/o apartment, he was surprised to see that you weren't in the house. He thought of you just going off somewhere again but when you didn't answer your phone, Childe got extremely worried but tried to shrug it off since your phone might've been off or something. He decided to ask one of your friends if they knew where you have been but they didn't have any clue either. After a week, it was clear that you were missing and many people were looking for you.

Childe was increasingly worried when you disappeared, everyday, the feeling of insecurity and nausea crept up on him. He felt like he could vomit at that point. Once he heard that you were found dead in a river. He broke down. He was done with this.  After that incident, your murderer was still on the loose and with the final straw, caused Childe to go into a blank state. He blamed himself for not protecting you. He wanted to see your family and grieve you with them but he couldn't gather the courage to face them. It was like didn't have the motivation to do so. He instead stayed in his room and just slept through the whole day and just ate whatever his family sent him. He couldn't suppress the truth of your death and pretended that you were still there. His family got sick of his way of living and decided they needed to help him send him to therapy, Childe started getting well and he slowly came to terms with your death and accepted the fact that you were now in a better place and that you probably didn't want him to be in that state. He did his best to become the better him.

It was a surprise that you were able to disappear from the Yaksha, at first Xiao thought that you might've gone back to your hometown without telling him. But after a few weeks he decided to ask your close ones if they knew where you have gone off to.

Xiao scavenged the land, through night and day just to find you, at first he was confused on why he was caring this much..He still couldn't understand human emotions..but he didn't want to focus on figuring that out. Instead he wanted to focus on seeing you once more.

Xiao (he found you)

Once Xiao found out about you, he immediately got mad at your captor. He felt like brutally murdering your captor but decided to not waste his time and getting his hand's dirty. He figured that it was the better option because if the captor was killed, well that would be it. So he handed the criminal over to the police to go under trial. Xiao started to keep an eye on you more because who knows that you, careless as can be, might disappear again.
