You told him that it would be a short trip and that you'll come back safely. He finally let go and just wait for you to get back into his arms like always.

Once you left, he felt tired—he's usually emotionless but this was different. His body didn't feel the same, his heart was empty and he couldn't think properly, his thoughts were just about you.
