V. | FIVE

"You should be good to go." Y/n pursed her lips awkwardly after tending to Anne's cut in the bathrooms.

"Go where exactly?"

Y/n paused while throwing the items away, "I'm not keeping you hostage. I think we're keeping Sloane here for a bit, but I don't know. I haven't had the chance to talk with my family."

"Well, why would I go back when I could just stay—"

"No, no, Anne." Eight stopped her, "I ended this. Permanently, okay? Twice, actually. In the 60's and literally a day ago."

"Wow, way to rip off the bandaid." She mumbled.

She sighed, "It's not like that. I just thought I wouldn't really have to see you again."

"But I'm here now." She shrugged, "Where's that boy you told me about in the 60's? Five? He doesn't seem to be around."

Eight laughed awkwardly, a bit taken back, "He's off doing stuff to save the world."

"Sounds like he always is, Y/n. Aren't you tired of running around to clean up his messes?"

"He didn't cause this paradox."

"Isn't he the one that trapped you in the 60's?"

"He saved our lives!"

"Did he?" She didn't let her respond as she walked closer, "Really think, Y/n. You're alive, sure, but are you living your life?"

She placed two fingers on her chest, shoving her back, "I think you should leave."

"I—"

"Just leave." Eight stopped her, "We could've left things civilly, but if you want to be like this, fine, but I'm not gonna feed into your shit."

The redhead scoffed and stormed out from the bathrooms, the door clambering shut behind her. Y/n sighed, running a hand over her face and taking a few deep breaths to leave the bathroom until Luther barged in.

"Sloane?" He glanced around, seeing Y/n leaned against the sink, "Y/n? We've been looking for you—"

He paused as he lifted in the air, Sloane behind him using her abilities on him. He slowly turned in the air to face her as she held onto one of her wounds.

"Sloane... what are you doing?"

"Did you set me up?"

"No, I would never do that."

She paused, keeping him in the air until Y/n shot an icicle past her face. It just barely grazed her nose and startled her enough to drop Luther as Diego came up behind her. He pressed a knife to her throat as Luther caught his breath.

"You good?" Diego inquired, receiving a firm nod from him. "Good, let's go."

"Diego, it's okay. You can let her go now."

"What? Are you kidding me?"

"I said let her go. She's hurt."

"Is she dying?" Y/n questioned.

"No, but—"

"Then she's good."

"Yeah, she's the enemy, as well." Diego added on, pressing the knife to her skin a bit closer.

"If you hurt her, I will bury you." He threatened.

"You gonna bury me too, Luther?" Allison inquired while sneaking up behind Y/n.

"Just... let me talk to her. Okay? Please."

"Trust me," Allison scoffed, "She's gonna talk."

Diego finally let Sloane go, sitting at the edge of a bathtub and tossing a knife in his hand. Y/n sat next to him, watching as Allison stood a few feet away from Sloane.

"I heard a rumor..."

"Allison—"

"You're gonna tell me the truth."

"Let her do her thing, man." Diego shrugged.

Allison paused as her power worked over Sloane, leaning forward a bit, "Where's the briefcase?"

Her breathing picked up, a few tears rolling down her face. It was almost as if she was fighting something off.

"Tell me." Allison pushed, "Where is it?"

Y/n watched with concern as Sloane whimpered as if she were in pain, like she wanted to speak but couldn't.

Allison walked closer, "Where the hell... is it?"

"I don't know!" She yelled.

"Allison!" Luther tried.

"We left it at your house, and it is our only way out of this!" She shouted, her voice echoing, "Where is it?"

Sloane's eyes turned white, more of Allison's power consuming her. Her face shook a little until Luther pulled Allison away and Sloane fell to the ground, gasping for air.

Diego shook his head, putting his knife back, "You better ask yourself which side you're on, bro."

"Would you just get out of here?" He shouted.

"Gonna tell me what to do?" He inquired, getting in Luther's face.

Y/n pulled him back with a scoff, "Don't start fighting," She rolled her eyes, adding on, "Again."

"All of you, just get out!" Allison's voice boomed, and she pointed to Sloane, "She doesn't leave your sight. Do you understand? This isn't over."

It wasn't until the next day when Y/n saw anyone around the hotel as she went down the staircase to grab a snack. She ran into Viktor and Luther, spotting a cut on Viktors face.

"Oh my god, did Harlan do that?" She inquired.

"We just got into a disagreement." He shrugged.

Luther shook his head, "About what?"

"It doesn't matter." He dismissed it as Diego came up behind Luther.

"Just checked the perimeter." He informed them, tossing a knife, "We're good, but we're gonna have to take turns."

Luther gasped, inspecting the cut on the back of Diego's neck, "What happened to you?"

"Was it Harlan?" Y/n questioned.

"What?"

"The Sparrows are right. He shouldn't be here. He's dangerous."

"He's only dangerous because I made him that way." Viktor pointed out, "This is my problem, and I appreciate your concern, but I'm gonna figure it out. I'm gonna fix it."

"What's going on?" Allison inquired after coming down the staircase.

"Oh my god. He got you too?" Y/n questioned after taking notice to Allison busted lip.

Allison dismissed her, turning to Viktor, "You okay?"

"Great. You?"

"Never better."

There was a few beats of silence between the group until a blue anomaly formed above them. It tossed out Five and Lila along with a briefcase. They fell on to the ground, making everyone jump back.

"Where have you been?"

"Facing my mortality, Viktor." He pulled himself up from the ground, "I don't recommend it."

"You had the briefcase?" Allison shouted, "We've been looking for this!"

"Well, look no further. That's the last one on earth. Or was the last one."

Allison picked it up as smoke emitted from it with dying electricity crackling from it. She threw it to the ground and went to sit on the staircase. Y/n walked over, running her hand over the huge dent in the side.

"Yeah, that's toast."

"Shit, all right." Five whispered, crouched down next to her.

"Where did you go?" Y/n asked, keeping her voice hushed.

"The commission." He sighed, "Things aren't looking good for us."

Y/n sighed as well, standing back up along with Five.

"Hey," He called to Luther and Diego, "Quit the chitchat, all right? I'm calling a meeting here. Where's Klaus?"

Diego looked off the staircase, seeing Stan carrying a bunch of cleaning supplies, "I'll be right back."

"Great." Five commented, watching him run off.

"Spit it out, Five." Allison hissed.

"Oh, well, since you asked so nicely, our little paradox brought forth a freaking Kugelblitz."

"What the hell is a Kugelblitz?" Viktor inquired slowly.
