The elevator chimed after an awkward ride down with everyone stuffed in. The door slid back and everyone was quick to rush out, albeit quietly.

"It's magnificent." Reginald looked around in awe while going down the steps.

"You guys should've stayed here." Ben glanced around, speaking to Diego and Lila, "This place is way nicer."

"Lila and I barely got out alive last time. Remember?"

"Yeah, but I'm here this time, and the numbers are in our favor."

"Well, whatever it was," Lila began to inform the group, "It was strong, fast, and super pissed."

"Alright, so, whatever you do," Diego pointed at the receptionist desk, "Do not ring this bell. Unless you wanna lose a finger or a tentacle."

Sloane reached to ring it, "I'll take my chances—"

"Don't!"

"Get out of my way."

Lila sighed, not backing down, "To take this thing out, we need to be in the right state of mind."

"State of mind?" She scoffed, her voice breaking while trying not to cry, "Do you mean, am I angry? Yes, I am angry. I wanna kill whatever it is that hurt Luther."

"Luther isn't the only one that's gone." Viktor reminded her as Five tried walking off to the revolving doors, "We lost Klaus too. I'm angry, okay? We all are. We have to be smart about this."

"Don't even try it, Five." Diego called out to him, "Doors won't let you out."

"So, what, we're stuck here?" Allison sighed.

"This place is a test and a trap and a means of salvation, all at once." Reginald told them.

Viktor ignored him for the most part, nodding to the sign written in Japanese, "Does anyone know what that sign says?"

"Yeah, it says "Do not ring the bell"." Diego paused, "That's what that means."

"Okay, we get it, Diego." Y/n nodded, arms crossed over her chest, "Bell bad. What do we do? Does anybody know?"

"Reggie?" Allison called out to him as he was stood in the middle of the lobby, flipping through the pages of his notebook.

"I'm hungry." Lila announced after he didn't answer, "Does anyone fancy an unagi roll?"

"How can you possibly eat at a time like this?" Ben inquired as she walked by."

"I don't know." She scoffed while turning to face him, "How can you be a dick at a time like this?"

"Hey," Diego broke it up, "Back off, all right? She's eating for—"

"Strength." Lila interrupted, "In these trying times. Diego, can you come with me for a second?" She pulled him off to the sushi bar without giving him time to answer.

The group split off from there, wandering off to different parts of the lobby and not going much farther. Y/n and Five took a seat in some chairs and he sighed, raking a hand through his hair.

"It's like the only man said. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and three times isn't gonna happen 'cause I'm not a gibbering idiot."

"I mean... we can't be sure he killed Klaus or Luther... right?" Y/n questioned, leaning her head in her hand.

"You serious? This is his modus operandi. We've seen this before." He glanced over to Reginald, "Have you forgotten how we all came together in the first place?"

"His funeral." She sighed.

"Exactly. He pulled this on you rubes before, and he's doing it again now."

"Come on, Five."

"No, no, no. He lost the vote to come through the tunnel, yet here we are."

Y/n paused, "Are you even sure he could kill Luther? You saw his body."

"Darling, I think he could kill Luther, Klaus, and the rest of us without breaking a moral sweat." He continued, "And what's worse, I think Allison is involved."

"Allison's been a whole other level of asshole lately, but..." She looked back to Allison, watching as she cleaned the blood from Sloanes hands, "No way. She was with Sloane in the tunnel."

"I'm not talking about Klaus."

"Luther?" Y/n shook her head, "No, she couldn't— She would never do that."

"She's been unraveling since we got to this timeline."

"Yeah, she lost Claire and her husband."

"And she killed Harlan."

There was pause before either of them spoke. "Look, even if you're right, darling, I can't imagine they're just gonna come clean if we confront them."

He sighed, "I agree."

What felt like hours passed as Reginald kept walking around, as if he was searching for something around the lobby. He was constantly flipping through the pages in his book as well. He called for everyone to gather around as he stood centered in the lobby, notebook open to a specific page.

"Now that we've had a chance to catch our breath, the real work can begin."

"Ah, the myth of the seven bells, hm?" Five hummed while walking over with Y/n, sarcasm clearly laced in his tone.

"Exactly. Somebody's been paying attention." He praised.

"Okay, so we find the bells, then what?" Diego interrupted.

"No, no, no. The bells are just a metaphor for this." He held the page up for everyone to observe.

Y/n clicked her tongue, arms crossed, "The sigil."

"Correct, Number Eight." He clapped the book shut, "The sigil is the key to the seven bells. Once we find this symbol, we're one step closer to resetting the universe."

"What do we do when we find it?"

Reginald turned to Sloane, "I don't know."

"Excuse me?" Viktor scoffed, "We're here because you said you had a plan."

"I do, up to a point."

Lila snickered, "Great. So we'll just stay in the hotel forever, staring at the walls and eating bad sushi."

"Told you guys," Y/n shrugged, "Off his pills."

"Finding the sigil is our only way out of here and the best chance we have of resetting the universe." Allison interjected.

"Funny how you and Dad are on the same page again." Five chimed in, glaring at Allison the same way she was glaring at him.

"Okay," Viktor sighed, "Uh, where do we start?"

"We'll split into groups." Reginald directed them, "I will go with Allison and Sloane, Ben and Five with Viktor and Eight."

"No, we want Allison." Viktor shook his head.

"Ben for Allison." Five agreed, tacking on, "We've trained together, so it makes more sense if we take Allison."

"Yeah. No, thanks." She scoffed.

"Why not?" Y/n questioned, earning a few beats of tense silence.

"Splendid idea." Reginald spoke, "Allison, you go with the Umbrellas. Sparrows, stick together. Everyone take a different floor. We must find that sigil."

"What about us?" Diego held an arm out as e referred to him and Lila.

"You're a duo." Reginald waved a dismissive hand, "No one wants to listen to your endless bickering. Now, spread out, leave no stone unturned and meet back here in 30 minutes."

Allison was the first to open a hotel room, Viktor right behind her as Five and Y/n trailed behind a bit.

"Someone went through a lot of trouble to hide this thing." Allison sighed while going to check by the windows.

"How big is it supposed to be?" Viktor inquired.

"You know, dear old Reg didn't say."

"Really?" Five hummed, "Hm. That's surprising. I figured you'd know more about his plan."

"Sorry," Allison looked back with a short glare at the pair, Y/n rushing to check inside a lampshade, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"I saw you and him in the White Buffalo Suite during the wedding."

"I don't know if now's the right time—" Viktor attempted.

"You know, I heard that you blacked out last night."

"I did," He confirmed, "And it took me a while to remember what I saw, but I do remember, Allison. You and Dad made some kind of deal." He walked a bit closer to her, "What did you agree to?"

"A deal?" She questioned as if it were absurd, "With Dad? Please tell me you're joking."

"He's not." Y/n sighed, and she scoffed.

"Answer the question."

"You're out of your mind." She hissed.

"You and Dad made a deal, and now Luther is dead."

"Okay." She snickered, "Luther was killed by whatever the hell that thing is."

"And Klaus?"

"He didn't make it into the tunnel."

"Bullshit." Y/n muttered, leaning against the wall while watching the scene play out.

"You know, your deal is costing people their lives."

"Do you really think that I made a deal with Dad to kill Luther and Klaus?" She looked around the room, taking their silence as a response. "I'm done. I'll meet you in the lobby."

She knocked his shoulder on her way out, and Viktor went after her. Five sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Family scavenger hunts, am I right?" Y/n joked as he walked by, and he shook his head at her.

They left the hotel room, looking down to the left where Allison and Viktor had gone, seeing a dead end. There was nothing but a potted plant sitting at the end.

"Viktor? Allison?" He tried.

"What, they got sucked into the plant?" Y/n came up behind him, hitting the leaves of the plant.

"Okay." He sighed loudly.

They both spun around to the right end of the hall that they had glanced at before seeing the abrupt dead end, noting that it had also morphed to the end of a hallway. Five tried tugging on the paintings hung up, but it was no use.

"All right, so now the fun starts." He muttered, going back in the hotel room with Y/n.

The pair rounded a few more corners after getting switched to a few different hotel levels. They caught Ben and Sloane mid-argument.

"I can't believe I'm actually saying this." Five sighed, checking behind him, "I'm actually glad to see you guys."

"What's wrong?" Sloane questioned, her voice slightly shaky.

"The hotel is changing." Y/n retorted, "We've been walking around in circles, but it's like the place is alive and knows we're here."

"We should get back to the lobby." Ben suggested.

"Tried it." Five shrugged, "Whatever direction we chose, we ended up in the same spot."

"Or maybe you two have no sense of direction."

"Okay, lead the way, Magellan."

Ben scoffed, walking past the two and heading for the lobby.
