"I'm so confused." Diego murmured while running a hand over his face.

"Did we fuck up that bad?" Y/n inquired while sitting on the pool table after Five had explained the grandfather paradox to them.

"Well, someone killed our mothers, so we shouldn't exist." Viktor shrugged, "But clearly, we do exist, and the universe can't handle it, which is a problem."

"Big problem." Five corrected, taking a sip of coffee as Stanley kicked at the air.

"Stanley!" Diego shouted, "Now is not the time to be doing karate, okay?"

"Mom said I need to practice!" He shouted back, holding a pool stick.

"Yeah, well, she's not wrong." Diego tossed a knife, "You're very bad."

"Well, I saved your pathetic ass."

"Okay, hold on." Allison interrupted, "Five, so we caused a paradox. What does that mean?"

"It's hard to say." He shrugged, "It's all been theoretical until now, but things have started to disappear."

"What things?"

"Uh, lobsters and a shit ton of cows." Y/n answered while tossing a pool ball back and forth.

"But I have a feeling this is just the beginning." Five sighed.

"A feeling?" Allison repeated, "Aren't you retired?"

"I want nothing more." He smiled sarcastically at her.

"You know, you can't drag us through hell because you have an itch only an apocalypse can scratch, and then expect us to deal with the fallout." She lectured, "You're not the boss."

"Fine," He sighed, "I'm the messenger, and I'm telling you something terrible is coming."

"Then let's go attack the Sparrows, get the briefcase, and go home."

"This is our home, Allison. Accept it."

There was a short moment of silence packed with tension until glass shattered as Stanley knocked something over.

"That's it!" Diego stood up, "I'm telling your mom."

"Ooh!"

"Wait, where's Lila?" Five inquired.

"Shower. I told her she could stay with us." Stan shrugged.

"Wait. When did Lila get back?" Viktor inquired as Five grabbed something and went off.

"Where are you going?" Diego called after him.

"To talk to somebody who only has half her head up her ass."

"Don't leave, Five. Don't leave!" Klaus called after him.

"No, I'm leaving, Klaus." He sighed as he walked off.

Y/n shrugged, "I mean, he has a pretty good track record with this stuff. I feel like we should listen to him."

"Sure." Klaus nodded, "Hey, quick question. Do none of you heartless bastards care about our murdered moms?"

"Klaus, the only one that we knew plugged into a wall."

"Yeah? Well, this is my real mother." He pointed. "And she's called Rachel. I have her eyes. See? We need to find out who did this! This is the thing! The main thing!"

"Is that all you want?" Diego inquired.

"Yeah."

"It's obviously Dad, all right? He knew where we were born. He hated us in '63. Boom. Murders."

"You think Dad is capable of killing innocent people?"

"Absolutely." Viktor nodded.

"It's murder city, buddy." Y/n agreed.

"Yeah, I guess so."

"Little late for a meeting, pal." Diego called as Luther walked, a tote bag and drink in hand.

"I was being held captive. By the Sparrows."

"What?" Allison questioned.

"Wait. Did none of you notice?"

They all shared awkward and unknowing glances with each other.

"We're happy you're home safe and sound."

"Yeah, oh my god."

"Stop lying." Allison scoffed.

"Okay. Nice." Luther nodded while approaching them, sarcasm dripping from his words.

"Did they hurt you?" Allison inquired.

"Who? The Sparrows?" He set the tote bag on the pool table, "God, no. Not at all. Excellent hosts. Really charming, actually. Oh, and you should see their gym. Outstanding! I really think we got these guys all wrong."

Allison held up a soundtrack from the bag, "Says the guy they kidnapped."

Diego whistled to get their attention, "What did they want?"

"Oh, Marcus. He's missing. They want him back. Unharmed."

"We don't have him." Viktor shrugged.

"Well, damn. I was hoping we'd solve that one quickly and then move on to problem number two; disappearing people."

Everyone whipped their heads to Stan as the pool stick he was carrying knocked into a vase, the glass shattering on the floor as he gasped.

"Uh, it was... it was the wind."

"Who's the kid?" Luther inquired.

Y/n sighed, waving a dismissive hand while hopping off the pool table, "I'm going to bed."

Y/n sat in the little library as Diego carried an empty crate, pausing upon seeing her reading a book from one of the shelves.

"Oh, Y/n." He glanced around before approaching her.

"Diego," She showed him the pages she was reading, "You know we're in history books? They refer to us as the Kennedy seven, say we helped plot the presidents death."

"That's... okay." He shook his head, "Uh, 4pm, the Sparrows are coming here."

"What?" She sat up straight, "All of them?"

"Yeah, giant litter box included, why?" He took a seat next to her and set the crate down, "The plan is to get the briefcase back, I think. Possibly toss them around a bit."

Y/n rolled her eyes, "Okay, whatever. 4, right?"

"Yeah, 4pm."

"So, what's the plan?" Y/n inquired while walking up to the table Diego, Luther, Viktor, and Allison were sat at, a drink in hand.

"Yeah, what do we do when the Sparrows get here?"

"Follow our lead." Allison shrugged, gesturing between her and Viktor.

"Nice try. We don't take orders from you." Diego crossed his arms as Luther nodded.

"Oh shit." Luther perked up, "They're early."

The sparrows walked in, geared up in their suits with Christopher behind them. Y/n trailed behind, somewhat hiding behind Diego until he moved out of the way. He shoved her further down, setting her across from Anne.

"Well," Viktor started, "Thanks for coming."

"Oh, yeah, super glad to be here." Jayme retorted, sarcasm dripping from the sentence while she looked them all up and down.

"Where are the rest you?" Bens voice echoed.

"Are you taking attendance?" Diego inquired, twirling a knife between his fingers. "They'll be here."

"Where's the briefcase?" Allison questioned.

"Where's our brother?"

Allison forced a smile, "Maybe we should try this again before I lose my temper."

"Allison—"

"I got this."

Anne mouthed a worth to Y/n and she squinted, "Run?" She whispered softly to the redhead and Anne nodded.

"Hand over the briefcase or no deal." Allison shrugged.

"Yeah, tiny problem." Ben laughed bitterly, "Deals off."

"Molotov this, bitches!" Stanley shouted from behind them, running with a bottle of emptied alcohol, something stuffed in it that he set on fire.

"Stanley!" Diego stopped him, "Not now."

He dropped it and set one of the banners on fire, lighting it up in flames. The smoke alarm went off, anyone in the lobby rushing out of the building.

"Power up!" Ben snapped at the Sparrows as Y/n glanced from the fire to Anne, the red head telling her to run again.

Eight shook her head, shooting ice at the spreading fire and setting it out. She worked to put it all out as Diego dragged Stanley away, tossing him over the bar for protection.

"Now Chris." Ben instructed just as Y/n finished putting the fire out.

The sound of a piercing feedback whined as lasers connected to the top of their heads. It almost burned yet stung at the same time. The feeling spread over Y/n's body and she couldn't really think straight or speak. All she could really do was hold her head as she kneeled on the floor.

"I heard... I heard a rumor..."

"That you're about to die?" Ben finished for Allison as she wailed in pain, holding onto her head. "Kill them." He instructed to the Sparrows as the cube finally stopped.

Anne took one rushed step towards Y/n before backtracking as Ben glared daggers into her soul.

There was an orange energy wave that shot out. Y/n couldn't pinpoint who it was coming from as the energy clouded the imagine of them, but it wasn't Viktor or any of the Sparrows. The wave knocked out Jayme and Alphonso, burning half of their faces and hair off. Fei and Ben had ducked in time and Luther had tackled Sloane to the ground.

The moment the energy wave was gone, Y/n pushed herself up off the floor and scrambled to Anne's side, pulling her into her lap.

"Wake up," She tried while shaking her shoulders, pushing back loose red strands of hair from her face, "Anne, please, just wake up."

Her baby blue eyes slowly blinked open, looking up at Y/n. Everyone else pulled themselves up from the ground a beat later.

"Pull back!" Ben shouted, not even sparing Anne a glance as him and Fei left the building with Christopher.

"Uh, are you okay?" Y/n inquired as Anne slowly sat up with her help.

"I'm fine, yeah."

"Your lips busted." Eight noted, reaching to touch it, but stopping herself, "Um, I can clean it up for you, or have someone else do it."

"It's fine, Y/n." She laughed, holding her head as she sat, "You can do it."

Eight gave her a quick smile, looking over at the person who had sent out the wave of orange energy.

"Oh my god." Viktor breathed as he stood up, "Harlan? Is that you?"
