Prologue

Tears, or rather droplets of water fell from the clouds that roamed through the once clear skies. The clouds almost seemed that they were crying as the battlefield below them would make anyone somber.

There, a soldier with silver, emotionless eyes walked through the wet, depressing landscape as he dismissed the bodies of soldiers that were dead or decomposing. This was a common sight to see in war, so this did not bother him.

He continued walking through the bodies, until he saw something unusual amongst the piles of bodies.

His eyes of silver saw a girl; a young girl that should be about in primary school. She laid amongst the bodies of soldiers as the soldier approached her.

The girl looked at him with only depression in her eyes as it seemed she lost hope just like wet landscape she was in. But her eyes found light in this instance once she looked at him.

He looked at her with pity and sympathy as he only stood and stared at her blankly. She then finally opened her mouth to speak.

"D-Daddy..?"

His cold eyes ceased its look of blankness as he was caught off guard.

The soldier was surprised on how a little girl could possibly refer to him as something so warm like a father figure.
