Not So Smart Phone

Nobody's POV

"Hey guys, check it out. We just got our first paychecks from Tech Town." Chase says as he and Bree walk into the lab.

"Nice! What are you going to spend it on? A video game? New kicks? A birthday gift for a sibling who wants a video game and new kicks?" Leo asks walking up to them.

"Nope. I'm gonna open a savings account." Chase says with a smirk.

"I want to like you, but you make it so hard." Bree sighs walking up to Mia.

"Yeah and you wonder why I call Adam the cool brother." Mia chuckles.

"The job also comes with perks." Chase says holding up the new ePhone.

"The new ePhone 7?! Those aren't even out yet! How'd you get one?" Leo gasps.

"Well, Leo, as a rising star of the Tech Town empire-" Chase says.

"We all got one." Bree says holding up her own phone.

"And did you get your little sister one?" Mia asks with a smile.

"I just got you a new tablet, don't push it." Bree says before walking out of the room.

"So is that a maybe?!" Mia shouts running after her sister.

"People are already lined up for the big release Friday. You should've seen the crazy looks in their eyes when I walked by with this thing." Chase chuckles as Leo looks at the phone, a crazy look in his eyes.

"Yup that's the look." He mutters.

"This version's got a new auto-centering feature to help you take better selfies." Leo says grabbing the phone and taking a selfie, only for it to come out horribly.

"Yeah, I don't photograph well." He mutters as Chase gives him a strange look.

"Point that bad boy over here. You're gonna want to record this perfection." Adam says as he stands there, an orange bowling ball in his hand.

"I'm Adam Davenport, and this is 'Bionic Bowling'." Adam says into the camera before getting into a throwing stance.

"Adam is six-foot-two, a rare combination of incredible strength and not much else." Leo says as he circles Adam with the camera.

Adam uses his super strength to throw the bowling ball right over his head, knocking down all the pins in front of him.

"Whoo!" He shouts hi-fiving Leo.

"I'm Chase Davenport, and this is 'Molecular Kinesis Bowling.'" Chase says into a the camera, the bowling ball in his hands.

"A native of Mission Creek, Chase's hobbies include being a tattle-tale and creping out girls." Leo says, making Chase glare at him.

Chase puts the bowling ball on the floor and uses his Molecularkinesis to push it, missing the two pins at the side.

"Oh! Oh, the dreaded 7/10 split! Devastating! Just devastating!" Leo shouts pointing the camera at the pins.

Chase smirks as he uses his Molecularkinesis to knock the other two pins over, making Adam look confused as usual.

"You were saying?" Chase asks smirking at the camera.

"Oh, it's on!" Adam shouts.

"I'm still Adam Davenport, and this is 'Blastwave Bowling.'" Adam says into the camera.

Instead of using the bowling ball he uses his blast wave on Chase and sends him flying into the pins, knocking them all over.

"And we have a loser!" Leo shouts pointing the camera in Chase's face, making Chase glare at him.

"All right, huddle up, team. Tomorrow's our biggest day of the year. For us techies, this is our World Series. And I'm your starting quarterback." Scott explains as his staff stand around him.

"Scott, I've studied all the specs. Ready to assist any customer who needs help." Chase says.

"Great, cause we're gonna have more people in this store than ever before. Any questions?" Scott asks looking at the other staff members.

"Can we not do the sale?" Caitlin sighs.

"Caitlin, remember what I said? Think before you speak and then don't speak." Scott says before walking off.

"Hey, are you ok?" Chase asks walking up to Caitlin, who is nervously twitching just across the room.

"I'm fine. Just not a big fan of crowds. We had this big three for one sale back when I worked at the Pretzel Hut. It was a madhouse and the customers wouldn't leave me alone! They all wanted the last cinnamon pretzel. So I did what any sane person would do and I ate it! Then I sprayed them all with hot butter and ran!" Caitlin gasps, making Chase give her a strange look.

"Anyway, I'm gonna go get a pretzel." She says before walking out of the store, just as Donald walks inside.

"Mr Davenport, what are you doing here? We're not allowed visitors at work." Chase asks as Donald walks over to him.

"I'm not a visitor, I'm a celebrity. And this celebrity needs a favour. Tomorrow is my anniversary and all Tasha wants is that stupid e-Phone! Even though I could make something better with the junk from the trash." Donald explains pointing to the e-Phone stand.

"So, if I get her one early it will make her feel special. So go grab me a phone so I don't have to stand in line with those losers all night." He chuckles pointing to all the people standing in the line.

"No way, I could lose my job. You have to go wait in that line." Chase says.

"Seriously?" Donald gasps.

"Now!" Chase orders.

"Fine! Where does the line start?!" Donald groans as Chase leads him to the front of the store.

"See that security guard with the golf cart?" Chase asks pointing a bit further down the line.

"Yeah. Well that's not so bad." Donald says with a shrug.

"Well you might want to stop and asks him for a lift because the line ends about a mile past that." Chase says before walking back into the store.

"Who's limo was blocking up the bus lanes?" Leo asks as he and his sisters walk into the school.

"I don't know, but I've always wanted to ride in one. They look so classy." Bree says with a shrug.

Suddenly, trumpets play and a red carpet is rolled out down the hallway. Perry walks through the door, wearing an ugly robe.

"Morning sewer sacks!" She shouts flashing a grin.

"If that's classy, then the world is going downhill." Mia sighs as Perry walks over.

"Sorry for blocking the bus lane. I can't walk to far in these shoes. Haven't worn heels this high since the pageant tour." Perry explains.

"You were in beauty pageants?" Leo asks.

"Yep, never won though. Apparently it's not a talent to squat lift a 250 pound barbell while rocking a bikini." Perry says.

"Bree, get the Neuroscrambler. I need to erase that from my mind." Mia mutters.

"Here's a fiver Butch. Keep the heater pumping." Perry says handing her driver 5 dollars and winking at him.

"So how did you get a limo?" Bree asks as the driver walks off.

"Daddy Davenport just gave me big chunk of hush money for keeping your bionic secret. I'm wearing your college funds kids!" Perry chuckles pulling out a large chain with the letter P on it.

"I wasn't going anyway." Mia mumbles, making Leo and Bree give her a strange look.

"Gather round Pus Pockets! Since I have come into some recent moola, I decided to start giving back...to myself. I hereby announce I am retiring as Principal, effective at the end of the week." Perry explains as the students gather around her.

"Yes! I've dreamed this day would come! Oh it's time people! Mia, are you ready?!" Leo shouts turning to his sister.

"I was ready the moment I joined this school! Let's do this!" Mia shouts pulling out her phone and switching on a song.

The two of them start a dance routine, which has obviously been choreographed, and they dance around the students. For their finale, Mia jumps onto the bench and backflips off it, landing just in front of Perry as she and Leo do a pose.

"Are you two done? Cause I gotta wash that off." Perry groans before walking over to the bench, pulling off the top and revealing a hot tub!

"You bought the school a hot tub?" Bree gasps.

"No, I bought it for me. And I'm taking it with me when I go. Much like the vending machine." Perry says as the rest of the students walk off.

She jumps up onto the bench and takes off her robe, revealing an ugly red and white stripy swimsuit.

"Ahh, take that undiagnosed skin condition." She sighs as she gets into the hot tub, making Bree, Mia and Leo give her a strange look.

"Is there anyway I can unsee that?!" Mia groans.

"Excuse me." Donald mutters as he pokes the guy in front of him as he stands in the line.

The guy turns towards him with a disgruntled look, making Donald back up slightly.

"Yes, it's me. Donald Davenport. Look I really need a phone, wife's anniversary you know. Anyway, is there any way-?" Donald says before the guy turns back around again.

"Alight hang in there guys, only 15 hours left!" Scott shouts walking over.

"Also, if anyone needs to use the restroom you should've thought about that before you camped out for a phone." He adds before walking off.

"Ooh, hot tub's empty. You better take your phone out of your pants, I'm about to throw you in." Adam chuckles as he and Chase walk up to the hot tub at school.

"My phone, it's gone!" Chase gasps as he shakes out his pockets.

"Perfect, let's do this." Adam says grabbing Chase's shoulders, ready to throw him in.

"Stop! It has our Bionic Bowling on it! If someone sees it, our secret will be exposed!" Chase shouts shoving Adam off him.

"I must have left it back at the store, come on." He mutters before running out, Adam following close behind.

"Leo, I think it's time to dance again." Mia says as she, Leo and Bree stand at the top of the staircase.

"I think so too Mia. Hit it." Leo chuckles as Mia turns the music on.

The two of them dance down the stairs, Bree walking right behind them.

"Wow, I've never seen you guys this happy at school." She chuckles.

"I know. With Perry leaving, this baby bird is ready to fly!" Leo shouts as he pretends to have wings.

"And I'm just glad I won't be called Sparky or Baby Davenport anymore." Mia adds. just as Perry rides into the room on a carriage.

"Listen up! I am happy to announce after an exhausting 22 minute search, I have found your new Principal!" Perry shouts as she gets off the carriage and points at the door.

"Hey oh!" Trent shouts walking through the door, dressed in a ridiculous looking uniform.

"He's back!" Mia shouts.

"Ahh! Trent!" Leo screams as he walks over.

"That's right Dooley and Dooley's little sister, here are your schedules." Trent says handing them each a piece of paper.

"Dooley, your first class is theatre where you'll perform a one man show of Annie for the entire school." He says putting a red wig on her head.

"I can't wait to see that." Mia chuckles.

"Oh and Dooley's little sister, your first class is gym." Trent says turning to Mia.

"That's not so bad." Mia says with a shrug.

"Where you'll be the tackling dummy for the football team." Trent adds.

"Wait what?!" Mia shouts.

"Chase, it's not even your shift and your here. I'm impressed." Scott says as Chase and Adam run into the store.

"I'm not here to work actually. I think I left my phone on the prodigy bar." Chase says.

"You mean are packaging area?" Scott asks pointing to the prodigy bar, which is stacked up with packed e-Phones.

"Someone must've packed my phone with the others! We have to find it!" Chase gasps as Scott walks over to the prodigy bar.

"What,we? I'm just here to watch you freak out." Adam chuckles.

"Alright, it's game time!" Scott shouts.

"Scott, can you delay opening for a minute so I can find my phone?" Chase asks walking over to him.

"Uh, let me run it up the corporate ladder. Tick, tick, tick, tick no!" Scott says.

"Release the herd!" He shouts, signalling the other workers to let the crowd in.

They all run in and shove Chase out of the way, each of them desperately trying to grab a phone.

"Ha ha, yes! Now this is the show I bought tickets too!" Adam chuckles.

"She started it!" Caitlin shouts as Scott carries her into the store, an annoyed look on his face.

"Caitlin, guard the phones and don't let anyone touch them!" Scott orders putting her down and walking off.

"Man, we're never gonna be able to find my phone with her on guard." Chase sighs as he and Adam watch from across the store.

"Nope. But hey, look on the bright side." Adam says.

"What's the bright side?" Chase asks.

"I don't know, I'm just trying to be a more positive person." Adam says with a shrug.

"Alright, I've got some good news and I've got some bad news! The bad news is, I'm instituting a school uniform policy!" Trent shouts walking into the hall, his words making all of the students groan.

"The good news is, only Dooley has to wear it. Come out Sweet Prince!" Trent chuckles turning towards the door.

Leo walks into the hall, wearing something that looks like it belongs in the 18th century, making all the students including Bree laugh.

"What are you laughing at? This is your new uniform." Trent says holding out a pink t-shirt with a picture of Leo's face on it, the words 'I'm related to him' written along the bottom.

"Why are you dragging me into this!? What did I do?!" Bree gasps.

"A: Your related to him and B: I don't really know." Trent chuckles putting the t-shirt on Bree's head and walking off.

"He can not be Principal! He is worse than she is!" Bree shouts walking up to Leo.

"I agree. On a side note, where's Mia?" Leo asks.

"I thought she'd be with you." Bree says, just as one of the football players walk up to them.

"Well hello!" Bree chuckles smiling up at him.

"I believe this is yours." He says dumping Mia on the ground and walking off.

"Mia, are you ok?!" Bree gasps leaning down beside her sister.

"Bree, take my hand. There's something I have to tell you." Mia mutters grabbing onto Bree's hand.

"Of course, what is it?" Bree asks.

"Just remember that-remember that-." Mia stammers.

"Mia!" Bree cries.

"Just remember that you should've got me the new e-Phone." Mia gasps, making Bree glare at her and jump up.

"She's fine!" Bree shouts as Leo helps her up.

"Yeah, although my back is killing me! Those football players got me good!" Mia groans rubbing her back, just as Perry surfaces from the bottom of the hot tub.

"What you doing down there?" Leo asks, not really sure if he wants to know the answer.

"Just checking on my veggie dumplings." Perry replies, holding up a small basket full of dumplings.

"Principal Perry, are you sure you want to quit? I mean, the role of Principal comes with prestige. You are shaping America's youth." Bree says walking over to her.

"I really don't care about the youth. Especially Sparky over here." Perry scoffs pointing to Mia.

"Can we please get rid of her?!" Mia snaps as Leo drags her and Bree across the room.

"Look, this is not gonna work. The only way to persuade someone like that is with bribes and she already has money." Leo says.

"But what if she didn't?" Bree asks.

"Bree weren't you listening? She does! Pay attention!" Mia scoffs.

No! I'm saying what if she didn't. We still have a few hours until her official resignation and if we could get her to spend all her money, she would have to stay." Bree explains.

"I don't know, it seems kinda crazy." Leo says.

"I agree with Leo. I mean, I've done some strange things but this seems weird." Mia adds.

"Leo, look at your outfit." Bree says motioning to his ridiculous clothes.

"I'm in." Leo replies quickly.

"Oh and Mia, do you want to continue being the tackling dummy? Cause I hear Trent's lined you up for it all week." Bree says turning to her sister.

"I'm in too!" Mia shouts.

"Principal Perry, we'd like to take you shopping to celebrate you last day as Principal." Bree says walking back over to her.

"Pass! Rather die!" Perry shouts.

"Come on. With my super speed, I can take you anywhere. Beverly Hills. New York 5th Avenue." Bree says, trying to tempt her into their offer.

"Well, I am an uptown girl. Fine, but before we go can you grab that stray dumpling bobbing around my big toe?" Perry asks.

"Do we have too?!" Mia groans.

"No wait, I've got it. Wanna bite?" Perry says lifting her foot up, the dumpling stuck to the bottom of it.

"You know what's weird, I kinda want a bite." Leo says with a shrug.

"I kinda wanna throw up!" Mia groans clutching her stomach.

"Uh oh, we've got another scuffle in the line. An old rich guy tried to take a cutzie and that's a Tech Town no no. I'm gonna need some muscle." Scott explains looking around the store.

He looks at Chase before turning back to Caitlin.

"Caitlin come with me." He mutters walking out of the store, Caitlin following close behind.

"Ok, he's gone. Now come up with an excuse to look at customers phones." Chase orders walking over to Adam.

"What do I say?" Adam asks.

"I don't know, be creative!" Chase shouts.

"Can I borrow your phone? You see my car just broke down and I need to call a tow truck to pick it up and my wife's making me dinner. She gets really upset when I'm late-." Adam lies as a guy hands him his phone.

"Woah, I'm not done! She's making me lasagne and it's my favourite. Ok now." He adds before grabbing the phone off the guy.

"Hey, where's your uniform Leo?" Bree asks walking over to her siblings, tons of shopping bags in her hands.

"Trent sent it into the tailor, he didn't think it was snug enough." Leo groans.

"Hey, your lucky. He's making me train with the basketball team now as well." Mia sighs.

"That's not that bad." Bree says.

"It is when they use you as a ball! I've seen things Bree! I've seen things!" Mia shouts grabbing her sister by the shoulders.

"Anyway, where's Perry?" Leo asks as Mia lets go of Bree.

"Oh, she wanted to make an entrance." Bree says putting the bags down on the floor.

Trumpets start playing as the door opens, revealing Perry dressed as a queen!

"Greeting peasants! It's fashion time!" She shouts putting on a British accent.

"I don't whether to be scared, or applaud her awesome accent." Mia mutters.

"Man, we can't keep this up! We've got to get to the boxes before the customers get to them!" Chase groans as he and Adam walk towards the phones, only to get blocked by Caitlin.

"Can we just-?" Chase mutters.

"You are messing with the wrong girl on the wrong day!" Caitlin warns, making Chase back away.

"Dude, what are we gonna do?" He asks turning to Adam.

"Don't worry, we're gonna find your phone. No one will ever know, including Mr Davenport." Adam says looking out of the store.

"Hey, look who's here! Hi Mr Davenport!" He chuckles.

Chase screams and runs at the phones, knocking them all right off the table. He gets back up and instantly begins to search through them, desperately searching for his phone.

"Alright, we're almost there. We just have to finish booking this trip to Spain so Perry can run with the bulls." Bree chuckles as she and her siblings read over all of Perry cheques in the hall, which is full of a bunch of random stuff she bought.

"Poor bulls, they don't stand a chance." Leo sighs.

"Rather them then us." Mia mutters as Perry walks out.

"Uh, we need your credit card for one last purchase." Bree says walking over to her.

"Forget it, I'm done buying stuff. I thought all this junk would make me happy but, it doesn't! I'm outta here!" Perry sighs walking across the room.

"Well, I guess we should get used to Principal Trent. I better go freckle up. I've got two shows later." Leo says putting on the wig.

"I better get ready as well! I've got football practice later!" Mia groans.

"Alright you three. Grab this stuff and toss it in my blimp." Perry orders.

"You know what? No! Do it yourself, Terry!" Bree protests walking over.

"Excuse me?" Perry asks.

"Your not our Principal anymore so you can't tell us what to do." Bree says with a smirk.

"That's right, we don't have to listen to your stupid orders." Mia adds.

"I said grab my stuff fungus pigeons!" Perry snaps, her own words making her gasp.

"Wait! This feeling! It's what missing! None of this junk will make me happy! What really matters in life is treating people poorly for my own amusement!" She gasps.

"And she's back." Mia mutters as Perry walks over.

"And nothing makes me feel better than doing it to you twerps!" Perry adds wrapping her arms around the three of them.

"What a wonderful life lesson." Bree says.

"Guess I'm not leaving after all. It's back to my plan of working till I drop then getting stuffed and mounted over the gym door." Perry sighs walking across the room.

"You know what's weird, I kinda wanna see that." Leo chuckles.

"I kinda want this whole situation to end." Mia adds.

"Man, we've checked every single phone. I can't believe I did this. After all Mr Davenport has done to protect our bionic secret. I blew it." Chase sighs as he and Adam stand at the prodigy bar, all of the phone boxes gone.

"I'm warning you, don't cause any more trouble! I have a very high scream and I'm not afraid to use it!" Scott warns as Donald walks into the store.

"Mr Davenport, can I talk to you?" Chase asks walking over to him.

"Unless you want to give me a free e-Phone, I don't want to hear it." Donald says.

"I think you do. Look, I messed up. I may have-." Chase sighs.

"Go home everyone! The sale is over! We're out of phones!" Caitlin shouts in the middle of the store.

"Wait, what about the display model!?" Donald asks pointing to the phone, which is being used by a lady across the room.

She scrolls through the pictures and they come up on screen, matching the ones from Chase's phone.

"Oh no! No! No! Leo!" Chase shouts.

"Wow, he really doesn't photograph well." Adam chuckles.

"Yeah, I suppose we could sell the display model." Scott says with a shrug.

All of the customers including, Adam, Chase and Donald instantly run at the lady with the phone everyone tackling each other in a desperate attempt to grab the phone.

"Stop it!" Caitlin yells, holding the phone up above her head.

"Look at you people! It's just like the last pretzel expect it's a stupid phone! This is why I hate crowds! Your all loving gadgets when you should be loving each other!" She screams before throwing Chase's phone on the ground and smashing it.

"Caitlin, your fired." Scott says walking up behind her.

"May I ask why?" Caitlin asks.

Scott doesn't answer her, he simply picks her up and carries her out of the store.

"So, what did you want to tell me?!" Donald shouts turning towards Chase and Adam.

"That-if you want to buy something for Tasha you better hurry, cause the mall closes at nine." Chase says, making Donald glare at him.

"So, your not gonna miss this stuff at all?" Bree asks as a bunch of men move Perry things out of the school.

"Nah, just the hot tub. The school board deemed it inappropriate." Perry scoffs.

"How'd Trent take the news?" Leo asks.

"Ah, he was upset until I decided to spring for a new gym teacher uniform." Perry says with a shrug.

"Actually, I have an idea on that." Mia says with a smirk.

"Come on out Trent! Show us your new threads!" Mia chuckles as Trent walks out, wearing a ridiculous neon blue outfit.

"I look ridiculous-ly awesome!" He chuckles hi-fiving Perry.

"And I know just how to thank you." He says turning to Mia.

"Money? That's always greatly appreciated." Mia says.

"No, swimming lessons." Trent says picking Mia tip and walking towards the hot tub.

"No! Stop! Ah!" Mia yells as Trent throws her in, splashing water everywhere.

"Mia, are you ok?" Bree gasps running over with Leo.

"That was awesome!" Mia chuckles throwing her hands in the air, splashing water all over Bree and Leo.

Mia really wanted a hot tub in the lab after that, Donald said no.
