*WARNING: this chapter includes ONE word that may be unsettling for some readers (it isn't necessarily a curse word, because like i said, i don't curse, but it is a sort of harsh word) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

*Jin's Perspective* 4:00 p.m.

I didn't know what I was saying or expecting, but the words just flew out of my mouth without realizing it. I tried to cover it up with a laugh to signal that it was just a joke, but Irene was already frozen from shock.

"NO! Obviously not! Do you actually think I would pretend to be dating YOU? The last time we actually had a conversation before college was in middle school; and that was for what; a science lab!?" Irene shouted, still in a tiny voice, but louder than she had ever spoken.

"Okay, chill down! It was just a joke. Plus, the idea just popped into my mind and it got out of my mouth. Also, obviously we aren't going to be as close to each other as in kindergarten, but we can still figure out a way to seem like we are close friends. You don't have to be so negative about the thought of me and you becoming friends." I said, trying to make a random statement.

"You're right; we aren't going to be as close to each other as kindergarten times, but I do know that this conversation is just the second most toxic thing that has happened on my first day of college." Irene says, shaking her head to look out into the park.

Yet again, something pops out of my mind without realizing it.

"What's the first most toxic thing?" I ask.

"Oh, I don't know, probably seeing that photo that you obviously knew about before." Irene says sarcastically, while grabbing her bag to head out. "I don't have time for this right now. See you tomorrow at physics, bye."

And just like that, she disappears through the gate, and into the dorm building. I lean back onto the bench as I think about what just happened.

A few minutes later, a voice calls out to me from a few inches away.

"Hey, you okay little bro?" it calls out to me.

I turn to see that my older twin siblings are standing right next to the bench. Chungha had debuted as a soloist after being in a temporary girl group, and Yugyeom was in a seven member boy group.

"Yeah," I start. "Just not the way I expected my first day to start as."

I scooch over so that they can sit on the bench as well.

"Oh yeah, how did it start off?" Chungha asks in a laughing tone.

"Well, I have already been seen with this girl in class and I can't figure out a way for others to forget about it." I say.

"It isn't Joy right?" Yugyeom asks while rolling his eyes and looking at Chungha without trying to chuckle at the thought.

"No," I show them the Snapstagram post. "Does this look like Joy?"

"Well then who is it?" Yugyeom asks.

"Wait. Isn't that Irene? I saw her the other day when I came to pick you up at SM Entertainment after you finished training for the day." Chungha interrupts before I can say anything.

"Yeah. We're in the same physics class and we both fell asleep and then this happened." I point to the post again.

"Hold on. Does Joy know about this? You know she can't find out right? Remember when we were hanging out with our cousin once and she thought that you were dating her?" Yugyeom starts off.

"And then Joy spilled our cousins' bubble tea on 'accident' and then embarrassed her in front of the whole shopping mall? Seulgi's still too scared to come back to visit." Chungha finished.

"I don't think she noticed at least. She doesn't follow people she thinks are too lame so she probably didn't see the post unless Nayeon or Jennie shared it with her." I say, not worried.

"Are you sure she didn't see the post?" Chungha asks, kind of worried herself.

"Yeah. For sure." I say.

"Ok then." they agree, but I can tell they aren't fully convinced though.

We then went to KFC for a quick bite and then said our goodbyes.

*Irene's Perspective* 4:15 p.m.

I can't believe he even had the audacity to say such a thing! I mean, yeah it is a big deal, but does he have no boundaries for anything? I think.

I am already at my door unlocking it with my key, when I hear a loud scream two doors away from me. I jump at the sound and I see Joy exit her dorm door stomping towards me. I quickly realize what is happening and unlock the door as fast as I can, and as soon as I get in the dorm, I lock the doors to hear Joy scream again.

"YOU! UNLOCK THE DOOR YOU FAT HOE!" Joy screams at my face through the hard wood door.

My friends come to help me, but I am still struggling to contain my tears and keep the door from breaking because of Joy's pounding.
