Monday 7:20 am 

"YOO RUE GET IN" Jikika yelled from the passenger seat of my car. As I promised to Gia, I came and picked her and Rue up for the first day of school so they wouldn't have to ride the bus.

"Dude I appreciate you for this," She said hitting my shoulder before putting her seatbelt on. "Yeah thank you, Yami" Gia smiles at me.

I put the car in drive before heading down the street starting our route to school. "Girl you know I had to see my best friend on the first day especially after she got outta rehab, by the way, congratulations" I smiled looking at her through the rearview mirror dancing a little in my seat. 

Rue smiled back whilst rolling her eyes as she looked out of the window, "Yeah yeah it's whatever."

Jikika turned back in her seat to talk to the two girls in the back, but most specifically Rue since Gia had already put in her headphones. "You missed a lot homegirl," she said about to inform her what happened over the summer.

"Bullshit" Rue says giving her a look, "tell me"

"Well for starters there's a new girl in town named Jules-"

"Jules?"

"Yes girl, now don't cut me off," Jikika glared causing Rue to hold up her hands. "Fez told me and by the sound of it you two would get along."

Rue gave her a look and laughs, "bitch you trippin' but go on"

"Yall wanna stop at the gas station real quick?" I asked noticing I needed gas and we had some time to spare. I didn't really give a fuck about being late normally but I thought it would be decent to be on time to school- but not early.

"Actually yeah I want chips," Gia said leaving the little world she had created while listening to her music. "Shit sis I thought you weren't paying attention" I laughed pulling into the gas station pump.

"Imma be real with yall..I wasn't even playing anything" She laughed causing us all to chuckle. 

"Man fuck you" Rue laughed playfully smacking her sister's face.

"I'll fill you in while we get snacks," Jikika announced to Rue as we all got out of the car. "Kika can you get me apple juice and donut holes? I gotta get gas" I ask opening up my gas tank.

"Yurrr" She replied while the three of them headed inside. I got the gas pump and started to fill up my little more than half-empty tank.

Leaning up against my car as I waited I pulled my phone out checking Instagram before a loud ass truck came speeding into the lot stopping at the pump behind mine. I looked up and saw Nate Jacobs hop out and take one of the pumps about to fill up.

We locked eyes and he chuckled a little, "Wussup Yami."

Now I didn't hate Nate, but I definitely didn't like him. He just gave me bad vibes and I always felt anxious around him like heebie jeebies type anxious. "Hey Nate," I said back not wanting to cause unnecessary shit on the first day. I'll save it for the second.

"Heard Rue got out," He nodded whilst leaning on his arm that was pressed up on the hood of his truck. 

'Got out' Nigga it wasn't jail 

"Yup"

"Good good..how have you been?"

Small talk. I hate it and I'm never good at it, and Jesus what is taking them so long?

"Uh I'm good" I shrugged, "you?"

"I'm good. You coming to the party tonight?" He asked as he took the gas pump out of the tank. At first, I wasn't interested in the conversation but now he sparked my interest. "Yours?" I asked copying him as I hung up the gas pump back in the stand

"Yeah, my house of course at 9"

"Alright, I'll see" I nodded knowing I wanted to go but wasn't gonna show it. He grinned a little but not enough for a full smile, "Good. It'll be nice to see you there, You and Jikika are always the life of the party"

I mean he's not wrong but he's still weird. "We take pride in that"

"I'm sure you guys do" Nate laughed, "Tell Silas I said hi"

"Will do"

"See you at school, Yami" was the last thing he said before he got in his truck speeding off again, and as if on cue the girls came back with bags of food and drinks.

"Catch hoe," Jikika said getting my attention before throwing my apple juice at me. "Was that Nate?" Rue asked with a scrunched-up face as we piled back in the car.

"Mmhm" I rolled my eyes as I put my seatbelt on driving off back on our way to school. "The hell did he want?" Jikika asked opening her Arizona.

I knew Gia was in the car so I didn't mention the party, "eh I don't really know I kinda tuned him out after he said hey"

"Shit, I don't blame you" Rue scoffed eating her chips.

The rest of the ride was silent as we just listened to music for the rest of the way singing along to some of the words from time to time. Not too long later we reach the school building trying to find a good spot.

"Oo right there" Gia pointed to a spot in the middle that was close to the doors. "Bet" as I was about to pull in before a car cut me off almost hitting us while pulling into the spot we were about to pull into.

I slammed on the brakes so we wouldn't collide causing all of us to jerk and hit the back of the seats. Rolling down my window now pissed I yell out, "AYO WHAT THE FUCK?"

"SORRY BABE" My boyfriend apologized from the passenger window getting out while his dumbass friend Aaron cackled from the driver's side.

"AARON IMMA FUCK YOU UP" I yelled ignoring my boyfriend. "AYE, YOU WERE TOO SLOW" Aaron shrugged still laughing

"BITCH YOU LOOK SLOW WITH THEM CROOKED ASS EYES, THAT SHIT COCKED LIKE A PISTOL," I said angrily making Rue spit out her drink choking on it.

"DIE BITCH" Jikika yelled out of the window flipping him off as I drove away to find a new spot, "Dirt neck ass nigga" she rolled her eyes.

"Yami you are going to hell" Rue laughed wiping her spit up, "Why does he still hate you?"

"Cause he's a lowkey fag, that's why," I said still angry about having to park on the side of the school.

"Yami..homophobic?" Gia fake gasps knowing I'm bisexual so it obviously wasn't true. "Aaron looks like he eats cigarette butts anyways," Jikika shrugged getting out of the car and putting her bag on.

I did the same as her but not before turning off the car and grabbing my apple juice, cause you know essentials. "I hate men," I groaned walking with Jikika, Rue, and Gia to where everyone sits in the mornings outside before class.

"Me too that's why I scam them," Jikika snickered showing me the newest guy she was using for money. "Shitt can he get me a new Macbook?" Rue asked her jokingly

"Sure, what color you want?" My other best friend asked typing on her phone.

"Wait seriously?"

"Please, he already got me my 11 and new Macbook. She's deadass" I say walking into the school. "Can you teach me?" Gia asks

Shit, I almost forgot she was here. "When you get older boo" Jikika winked at her nudging her arm. "Aye don't get any ideas" Rue pointed whilst glaring at her sister.

"Whateverrr" Gia says, "I'm gonna go find my friends see you guys later"

"Bye boo"

"Bye Gia"

"Later Gi"

It was narrowed down to the three of us walking down the hall. We were talking about random shit that happened before Rue cut us off, "Everyone keeps staring at me.."

I didn't notice it until she spoke up about it but I looked around and as we continued to walk I saw people whispering and pointing a little."Hey, isn't that the girl who oded?!" A guy yelled. 

I turned to him about to say something back but Rue grabbed my arm and signaled for me to not say anything. I looked at her and saw how uncomfortable she was and I didn't want to make a scene to make her even more uncomfortable.

Jikika glared at him as we passed him and his friend. "Who just says that?" I asked annoyed

The bell rang for the one-minute warning. "Alright hoes I'm going to class, see you at lunch," Kika said before turning down the opposite hall from us.

"Want me to walk you to class?" I asked my curly-headed friend next to me. "Nah it's fine, I'll be good. Thanks though see you at lunch?" Rue asked going to the auditorium doors.

"Yeah meet me somewhere" I nodded leaving her to go to my first-period class. Today was gonna be a long day and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep.
