I walked to the waiting car as I left the school, lost in my thoughts I threw my backpack on the backseat and placed myself on the passenger seat.

The chauffeur started the engine and drove off. I looked outside the window, watching the school getting smaller and smaller until it was gone.

"How was your day, miss?" the older man asked as he stopped at a traffic light.

"Great." I just replied, not wanting to talk right now.

Was it possible that Minji was right? That my 'friends' only liked me because of my money? I sighed. If I wasn't rich, would someone even consider hanging out with me?

"Stop." I said and the chauffeur looked at me shortly.

"What?" He asked. My gosh, was he really that dumb?

"Just stop the car."

He drove to the side and parked the car.

"I'll go from here."

"It's still a long way, miss, are you sure?" The man asked as I opened the door and stepped out.

"I am." I said, opening the backdoor and taking my backpack.

"Drive home." I shut the door loudly and started walking. After a few seconds the black car passed by and disappeared from my vision.

I slowed down my pace, looking at the ground. It was a long way, but I didn't care. I just wanted time for myself before I came home and got annoyed by staff that always was around me.

Not even ten minutes had passed when I heard someone call my name. I turned around just to see Arin, one of my 'friends', and sighed. What did she want from me? I stopped as she ran towards me.

The brown haired girl was breathing heavily when she reached me. After a short while of not saying anything, she finally spoke.

"Hey, I wanted to ask if we could hang out today? I kind of have nothing to do today so I have plenty of time." Her high-pitched voice gave me a headache just after the first word she said.

"Sorry, I don't want to." I said being honest. "You only want me to spend all my money, and I don't have time anyways."

Arin looked at me with a confused expression.
"Okay." She said. "Have a good afternoon then." Turning around she walked away.

I continued my way home and got lost in my thoughts again. I could understand why Minji didn't like me at all. As I thought of my behavior towards her today, I could definetly tell that it was wrong. Thinking of my behavior in general, I was obnoxious towards people I didn't like. Or in this case, a person I liked to much.

I knew that what I said about that Siyeon girl wasn't right, I knew that I should've not said that at all. But something inside my head just went crazy when I saw that girl sitting next to Minji.

I stopped when I saw that I already had reached the house I lived in, and looked at it. I've always felt cool with this mansion, but right now I couldn't enjoy it. Why does it have to be so big?

I kicked a little stone with my foot as I walked towards the big door, being greeted by a servant as I opened it, stepping in. I sighed.

"Good day, Miss." The young man said, taking my stuff and putting it at their place tidily.

I didn't even think about greeting my parents and walked to my room immediatly, even ignoring my sister. I slammed the door shut and locked it. I didn't want anyone to talk to me right now. I threw my backpack on the floor.

I walked towards my bed and sat on it, removing my phone of my pocket and unlocking it.

I saw that Arin had texted me about 15 minutes ago.

Arin

I don't know what was
up with you today, but you
could've just said 'no' normally
[3:13pm]

Just leave me alone
[3:28pm]

Why are you so rude?

Did I do anything wrong?
[3:29pm]

I am just not in the
mood today

Is it a problem for you?
[3:29pm]

No
[3:31pm]

Then stop texting me
and leave me alone now

I put my phone on my bed and laid myself down, staring at the ceiling and slowly drifting to sleep.

-

I woke up as I heard someone banging at the door to my room, my dad called my name. I quickly got up, feeling a little dizzy at first.

"Yeonjung! You've been in that room for hours, are you okay?" My dad yelled.

As if you care for me, I thought and unlocked my door, opening it. "I'm fine, dad. I just fell asleep."

"You were sleeping for three hours. I thought something happened to you." He reasoned.

"What should I do? Throw myself out of the window?" I said as I walked to my desk and sat down on the chair.

He raised an eyebrow. "You know that I don't see fun in that after what happened to your brother."

I sighed. "Of course."

My father walked up to me. "Did you eat yet?"

"No. But I have homework to do." I told him and took my stuff from my backpack.

"I'll send you something." He said.

"Isn't it dinner soon?"

"Your mom and I aren't home to dinner today as you know. We're meeting our new business partners."

"Okay then. Have fun." I sighed and opened my pencil case, taking my pen.

"Make sure to eat something." My dad said, squeezing my shoulder lightly.

"Got it."

"See you tomorrow." My dad walked towards my door and left the room.

I finished my homework and looked at the clock. It was already 7pm. I rubbed my eyes and stood up from the chair.

I checked my phone and saw a message from Jaeri. She was the worst of them all.

Jaeri

[5:32pm]

I don't know if I have time
[7:06pm]

I left my room and entered the living room where my sister was watching a movie.

"Should we eat?" I asked, startling her.

"Are you really asking me that? I am starving!" Sieun said as she jumped up from the couch.

"Let's order something." I suggested and took my phone.

"I wanna have pizza." Sieun came to me and looked on my phone.

"Okay then."

I ordered the food and sat down on the couch, looking at the TV. "What movie are you watching?"

"Avengers." She replied and jumped next to me. "I love Avengers."

"Didn't you watch that movie like a hundred times?" I asked.

"There are many Avenger movies." She defended herself. "That's just one."

"I remember that scene from yesterday."

"Pff. I can choose what I watch. Just because you're older doesn't mean you can tell me what movie I should watch." Sieun pouted.

"I ain't telling you anything."

We kept talking until the food arrived. A servant got it for us and we ate our food in silence.

"I am going to sleep now." I said as I finished and got up from the sofa.

"Sleep good." Sieun just said.

"Don't stay up too late." I said and left the room.

"Yes, mom!" Sieun yelled after me.

I entered my room and closed the door. I sat on my bed, sighing when my phone buzzed. I took it out of my pocket and unlocked it. It was Jae-Young, one of the students in my class.

Jae-Young

I put my phone next to me and sighed. Of course I wasn't even slightly tired as I slept in the afternoon.

I took a book from my bookshelf and laid down on my bed. Opening it, I read the first three sentences as I started feeling tired.

"Aish." Why was it always like that? I closed the book and put it on my nightstand beside my bed.

I turned around on my back and stared at the ceiling again, taking my phone and surfing on the internet for a bit. I felt bored and now my tiredness was gone too.

I sighed and decided to just lay down and wait for the sleep to come.

-

-The next day-

"Good morning." I said when I entered the kitchen and found my sister eating her breakfast.

"Morning." She replied.

"Have you seen dad?" I asked her while I was making my breakfast.

"No. They must've come home later that evening." Sieun said.

"Okay."

I ate my breakfast and finished it a few minutes after my sister. Then I made myself ready for school and left the house. The chauffeur was already waiting for me. I got in the car and he drove off.

I looked outside of the window as the car stopped at a traffic light. I saw Jaeri standing at the corner of the street, waiting for it to get green.

"Can we take her?" I asked and pointed at her.

"Sure." The chauffeur said and I opened the window.

"Jaeri!" I shouted. She was about to walk on and looked at me. "You can come with us!"

Jaeri walked towards the car and I pointed at the backseat.

"Hurry up a bit, the traffic light will turn green soon."

"Thank you." She said and placed herself behind me.

The car drove on again and after a few minutes we reached the school. I got out of the car and took my backpack. Jaeri did the same. The car disappeared from our vision.

"Thanks." Jaeri said.

"No problem." I replied. "What were you doing there anyways? You are never there." We walked towards the school.

"I got myself some food for school. I forgot mine at home." The other girl said. "Did you decide?"

"Decide what?"

"Do you have time this afternoon?" Jaeri asked.

"Oh, that. Yeah, I think I do."

"Okay, what should we do then?" Jaeri said as we saw Arin and Jae-Young walking towards us.

"Let's decide that later." I just said.

"Sure." She replied.

"Good Morning!" Arin yelled. I rolled my eyes. Her mood was too good for 8am.

"Guess what." Arin said in a normal tone as they reached us and we walked together. "Jae-Young asked me to go to the cinema today evening."

Jaeri chuckled. "Sure."

I showed Jae-Young a thumbs up and he smiled widely.

"I found someone else." He whispered in my ear.

"And I am happy about that. I would've just left you hanging." I replied.

"That would be your loss then."

"Yeah, sure." I said ironically.

"Just say you don't like me." Jae-Young pouted.

"I like you. But just as a friend, not more." I gave back.

"Yeah, sure." He said, repeating my words.

We reached the entrance of the school and I saw Minji entering the school grounds. Seungjoon, her boyfriend, was walking beside her. I quickly turned away.

"Ugh, I hate school." Jaeri mumbled while we were walking to our classroom.

"Same." I said. "We have maths."

"Really? At 8am in the morning? My brain isn't even working." Arin groaned.

"Let's just try to survive this, okay?" Jae-Young asked.

"We have to." Jaeri sighed. She sounded tired.

We entered the class and sat down at our desks.

Yeah, I am eventually alive
